the library implementing the sensor fusion with ST sensors is the MotionFX, and it is not so straightforward to be used with STEVAL-MKI109V3, since its FW is not open-source.
The suggestion of the UM2220 user manual is to run this implementation of the sensor fusion here:
The software comes with sample implementation running on an X-NUCLEO-IKS01A2, X-NUCLEO-IKS01A3 or X-NUCLEOIKS02A1 expansion board on a NUCLEO-F401RE, NUCLEO-L476RG, NUCLEO-L152RE or NUCLEO-L073RZ development board.
But of course you can configure all the device registers with the STEVAL-MKI109V3 + Unico-GUI.
