Hi,
Been a while :)
Seeing some odd readings after the sensor has no real changes. After some time when a change in the sensor distance happens it "seems" to take many readings to get good readings.
Is there a sleep I don't know about? What is the recommended way to "wake up" the sensor if it has been dormant for some time......or am I imagining this?
Thanks,
Will

Hi
You can check if sensor is sleeping either by monitor the power consumption, if the sensor is ranging, the power consumption is around 20mA, if sensor is nor ranging, the power consumption will be less than 1mA.
The other method you can check with a mobile camera (except iphone), or laptop camera, when sensor is ranging, you can see the red light emitted from the TOF.

Hi Will
It's hard to figure out where is the issue come from, normally sensor either in ranging mode or in sleep mode, but will not work like your issue. we need more detail information about your issue

How can you detect whether you are sleeping or not?
