Attachment access and image viewing issues

The "Virus scan in progress..." message is gone, but attachments are still behaving funny.

Issue 1: 2 out of the 3 attachments here cannot be accessed. Clicking on them does nothing and the "download" icon is missing.

Issue 2: I've also noticed that image attachments can't be viewed directly in the past week or so.

Trying to click on the png attached here shows an error instead of showing the image.

The download icon works and once downloaded the images can be viewed directly. They appear to be valid PNG files.

Seems forum functionality is going backwards. Split this to a new thread if you want. Seems related IMO.

Yes, I have seen this recently.

A complex system that works is invariably found to have evolved from a simple system that worked.
A complex system designed from scratch never works and cannot be patched up to make it work.
