After drag-and-drop to editor pane, whole page shaded out, can't send reply

I used drag-and-drop from a highlighted text in other's post to the editor pane, after which the whole page remained shaded out, including the "reply" button, to which I can't click.

Typing in the edit pane still works, but can't do anything other than reload.

[EDIT] After dropping a random *file* into the area marked as "drag and drop file" the page "unfroze".
