Using Embedded Systems or IoT Devices to Monitor Banking Transactions and Balances Like FAB Bank

Mageee

Hi everyone,

I’ve been exploring how embedded systems and IoT devices can help simplify daily financial tasks, like monitoring transactions or checking balances. For example, FAB Bank (First Abu Dhabi Bank) provides APIs and mobile notifications that could potentially be integrated with smart devices for real-time updates.

I’m curious if anyone here has experimented with:

  • Microcontrollers or sensors to trigger notifications for banking events

  • IoT dashboards to track account activity

  • Secure ways to pull balance or transaction data without compromising privacy

It would be great to hear how other developers or engineers are approaching financial monitoring using embedded systems or IoT. Are there any interesting projects, hardware setups, or software solutions you’d recommend?

I have not worked on anything like this, but it sounds like you would want security-oriented hardware:
