Dear all,
I am working on a prototype with anti-tilting and park-brake functions that need to be complied with ISO26262. So far the ASIL is not determined yet, I want to start development and testing the firmware in a complete toolkit.
However I am not sure which MCU to choose.
For example, the SPC56 L line and SPC58 C line both provide ASIL and safety applications, and evaluation toolkit, though mentioned that SPC58 C key functions are securing on-board communication protocol.
I have the same difficulty in selecting from other A/B/2B/G/P/etc.
And how about the generic control STM32 MCU's, if I only want the mentioned two functions, it seems the STM32 MCU is qualified as well, is it correct?
Thanks in advance for explaining with details.

Hello ,
About ASIL-D certifications ,
SPC56 L line and SPC58 C line provides ASIL-D certification.

on STM32 , I do not know ,
i advice to ask directly in the forum STM32
Best regards

Dear Erwan,
Thanks a lot for replying.
I am new to MCU units and would like to learn how to implement ISO 26262 ASIL A/B functions in the future.
So as a start, I want to build a prototype that demonstrate EPB safety function, say the scope covers from 1 AI & 1DI to 2 DO's.
What would be your recommendation to buy as a cheap but minimal learning packages?
SPC MCU + SPC5Studio or commercial S/W packages like autosar MCAL will be needed?
