I’m engineer from EMS company. For one of our customer we are going to manufacturing PCBA (Vehicle Control Module) based on SPC58NH92C5 uC. Our customer is owner of design and our customer develop the final firmware for product. However for the manufacturing process we will need kind of the special firmware called “Test Firmware” optimized and dedicated to allow to perform Final Functional Tests of the PCBA.
To optimize production process there is the plan to follow in that way: perform programming with
final firmware > depanel and coating process > Full Functional Test (in here I need test firmware functionality).
As you see I can’t reflash PCBA on Full Functional Test due to that PCBA already is flashed with final firmware. In that case my plan is do not touch Final Firmware but I would like to develop my own test firmware and I would like to upload That firmware do SRAM instead of Flash memory and boot uC from SRAM.
I see that SRAM for that uC is 1MB so it is more than I need (test firmware should be lower than 400kB). I can't find description or application note how to implement upload firmware do the SRAM and how to boot uC from SRAM (with already programmed flash with final firmware). Could you give me more details how can I manage that (description in details or link to guide). I will be very appreciated for details. Thank you in advance.
