Hi, no sound at all from one of the studio monitors that each use 2 TDA7294 IC’s. Pulled out PCB from both monitors. The board that functions normal, the TDA7294s get warm after a minute or so, that’s a good sign, and yes this one works fine. The other board that is dead, the TDA7294s stay cold, no sound no noise or anything at all, but yet physically look ok, no smell, no leakage on board. We want to purchase more of these chips but wanted to make sure that what is happening is normal when the TDA7294 goes bad. Studio Monitor manufacturer was not able to assist besides schematic, and online stores do not have sufficient information on the issue. Thank you for your time and support.

Instead of assuming the IC is bad because it is cold, did you check to be sure there is power to the board and/or IC? Did you check the fuse?

Hi,
and did you check voltages....needed, to start / turn on ?
-> pin9 + 10 : mute + stdby > 4 V DC ?
