STM32CubeMX (MCUs)

Hello everyone. I'm trying to use some functions available in the CMSIS DSP Library.First I tried to add the library through CubeMX->Additional Software, but found a known bug reported here. According to this link, this bug should be fixed for the next cubeMX release, due for this week.Since I really can't wait for this bug to be fixed, I tried to manually copy use the source and header files provided in the Firmware package for my MCU (STM32F4 in this case).Therefore, I was wondering if someone faced this problem and was able to succeed at adding these libraries without cubeMXBest Regards

CubeMx has not found any updates. Do they still arrive by autoupdate in Cube or should I search in GitHub?

Hello guys so i'm working with stm32F407 on atollic True studio and CubeMx. when i generate the code from cubeMx it works perfectly but when i add a source and a header file that i'm going to use in this project i can't debug the code anymore and an error occurs wich indicate that the .elf has encountered a problem. What can i do to fix this problem.

Hello, I am quite new to G071 series, first attempt I collided with DMAMux, solved and it work like a charm.Project is simple, just read input value pack to two half word then dma transmit by SPI.Based on STM32G071KBU6N (UFQFN32) same bin bought in January from primary distributor.Everything seems fine but some trouble come from GPIO.Disabled DMA, disabled SPI, disabled all GPIO IN OUT.Inspected register all again look fine.Changed clock source from PLL to internal 8MHz oscillator.Reduced AH clock rate, problem remain:PB4, PB5, PA15 seems disconnected from IO matrix.Same behavior repeat across all MCU I have on boards.Measured voltage on pin they appear floatingPA15 1.39VPB4 2.33VPB5 0.81VForcing register to output don't change pin voltage, forcing pin to VSS or VDD don't change input register stuck at 0.Forcing pullup output has no effect to external.It seems an Hardware failure but cannot believe a similar fault passed out of test.May be a defective lot, but I got out of option.Last

When was bug fixed? I assume it was fixed also in version 5.6.1?I first started on a STM32F412, meanwhile on a Nucleo Evalboard with STM32F411,but I can't seem to be able to access SD card. I see CLK line toggling. I see bits on CMD(recorded with a logic analyzer)but can't interpret them. I assume SD card is not answering at all, because makesnot much difference if card is in or not. It is a 32GB uSD. I have no pullup. Do I need (external/internal) pull ups to get it working?I want to work without interrupt, and also without DMA, to make it easier.Is it possible? Is looks like I can't disable "Use dma template" in FatFS dialog.I don't have a detect pin, just select no pin and ignore warning.I can't switch power, 3.3V for uSD card is always on. Is this a problem?Does someone have a working proj

HiI am using STM32CubeIDE 1.3.0 on a Linux host to set up a NUCLEO-F413ZH.I was setting up the QSPI port DMA. This does not allow you to click on the checkbox to increment memory.As a result, the generated code is wrong and the DMA address does not increment, so the transfer gets hosed.Hand editing the code to change the MemInc field from Disable to Enable fixes this. -  hdma_quadspi.Init.MemInc = DMA_MINC_DISABLE; +   hdma_quadspi.Init.MemInc = DMA_MINC_ENABLE;Once that is fixed it all works great!

The project of stm32h7 dual-corewhich using keil can't save project Settings. It is restored to the default settings when using cubemx to regenerate the Keil project each time.

Mbed environment looks interesting, mainly because it supports many interesting peripheral chips. I see that there is a MbedTLS option in CubeMx. What is it, how should it be used. Why should I use it. Main.c looks the same as without the Mbed. PDFs are nice but a few words are enough now.Edit: Google tells me MbedTLS is for encryption. Not much use for me, I think.

Hello,I am including the CMSIS-DSP library on my CubeMX project on Additional Software. Using the Library setting instead of Source. However, when I am trying to call a function from arm_math.h the compiler throws an error that it is not possible to find that function call.Any ideas? How can I include CMSIS-DSP.I am using GCC compiler and STMCubeIDE

The description on the back of the STM32L4A6 Board packages states "STM32CubeL4 embedded software solution featuring divers, RTOS, file sytem, USB, graphics and examples for this Board".The Package from https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeL4 does not include examples for the board. Furthermore the board cannot be found in CubeMX at all. The only way to configure it is over selecting the MCU. Do I miss a package here?greetings Simon

I have bought NUCLEO-H743ZI2 board. and I have put 480mhz in the box from stm32cubemxide. but when i tried to print hello world from huart3 it is not printing anything.and when i run it into default at 64 it prints perfectly. so how can i use max capability of this board and run it to 480mhzI am using stm32cubemx ide latest version.thank you

HiI am trying to make SD card reader using SDIO with STM32F466RE.I can see the SD card getting mounted in the systemBut it is always asking to format the SD card, even the SD card is not getting formatted.Test with multiple SD card. seems some problem with the code.Can someone guide on to fix it?I am very initial stage of learning so pardon for any silly mistakes.

I've used a STM32F042C4U6 in a simple application requiring USB. I'm using cube IDE. When the project is generated with cubeMX and compiled, it is too large to fit in memory before I've even added any user code. Is this right ? If so, what is the point of this chip ?

Hello,I am trying to install STM32CubeMX IDE on my MAC, and I get the following message:"This package is incompatible with this version of macOS.The package is trying to install content to the system volume. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance."I am using MAC OS 10.15 Catalina on a 2018 MAC Mini, and the system volume is the only choice given to me for installation location. Is this a known issue with CubeMX-Catalina? Is there a workaround?Thanks

I opened an older project which was created with 5.0.1, and the newest CubeMX shows an error for this option in ADC. But this option is correct. I tried to create a new project, and I wasn't able to enable this option here.

HiUntil three days, CubeMX runs nice at my laptop. At register level selecting ADC trigger event is done thru EXTSEL with many internal sources (timers) and one external (EXTI Line 11). Consistent approach is in LL API, where selecting trigger source by "LL_ADC_REG_SetTriggerSource" function or thru LL_ADC_REG_InitTypeDef TriggerSource. But in CubeMX is that configuration splited in two places with confusing labels.If i want to select internal triggers i have to select literaly "Conversion trigger Disable" (realy confusing because by this option in reality i am enabling internal trigger source selections - or in other words i am disabling only one specific trigger source (EXTI)). In addition internal trigger sources are called "External Trigger Conversion Sources". I suppose that both these options should be merged into one configuration field to correspond with logic of reference manual...version of CubeMX 5.6.1

I have already tried to use a second SystemClock_Config (copied from a fresh project after code generation), to first use the HSI after reboot and initialize everything (USART, GPIO,...), and then switch to the HSE, but it didn't work.I would appreciate any help.

I'm migrating an ST driver file from the old standard peripheral library to the new HAL system. Here's and one example of many identifiers I'm having to replace:Old: ETH_DMA_Rx_Frame_infosNew: ETH_DMARxFrameInfosThese two identifiers contain EXACTLY the same information, only diff is the capitalization and a few underscores. Why did the PhD's at ST deem it necessary to change all the identifiers between the old and new libraries in this trivial way??? ALL THIS DOES IS CAUSE YOUR CUSTOMERS HOURS OF EDITING HELL.I'm picturing some MBA sitting in his corner cubicle angling to make his mark in the cubicle farm at ST corporate. "Hmmm... How can I get noticed? I know! I'll reformat all the identifiers in the new HAL code in such a revolutionary way that I'll get a reserved parking place near the front door! That's it!!!"Gawd! Doesn't any one of you engineers have a damn lick of common sense???

Hello,I get an issue when I try to load a Keras model in CubeMX (see image).When I click on Validate on Desktop, all results are 0: acc, rmse and mae. Is it a bug on CubeMx?I have the same result even if I compress my model. And I try another model with same result. NB: models work well on python script.When I generate code to execute model on Stm32H7 the output (predictions houses prices) of my NN is not correct (always 0 ). Knowing that it's not mandatory to "Validate desktop" my model before deploy it. Is there a connection between both issues?Regards,

I'm trying to transfer my Arduino code to the ST HAL library. I've got everything implemented except for the SD card. After some research I set up FatFS using the SD 4-bit bus. Using PA15 as the detect SDIO pin, which I've both tried to set as a pull_up, pull_down and neither. Now I'm trying to use the example code to get a sense of how to implement my own code, but I keep getting a FR_DISK_ERR when trying to open anything. Hi, I have my STM32F407 with the following clock configuration, as I want to use TIM2-TIM5, the input clock of those Timers is APB1, and it is working at 84 MHz, I want TIM2 working with an interrupt every 1 sec, so I set the prescaler to 8400-1 so the timer will work at 10KHz, and the the Counter Period to 10000-1, so I will have an interrupt every 1s...In the TIM2 Handler I have set a Toggle to one of the board LEDs, and it toggles every 3s, no every 1s, so I suppose that I have something wrong.Here I attach you a screenshot of the Clock Configuration screen.Thank you Best regards
