As a Fedora user, finding that STM32CubeMonitor is only distributed for Linux as pair of .deb packages for Ubuntu was a disappointment. So I created a container to run it in. This may also help those running newer versions of Ubuntu LTS, which is incompatible with the supplied .debs.https://github.com/mobilinkd/STM32CubeMonitorI hope this is not needed for long and that ST will package this software for use on a wider range of Linux systems. Or maybe publish their own sets of containers for Linux.

I am using STM32CubeMonitor with the STM32H503CBT6, but I can't observe my variables. Previously, I used the STM32F1, and it still worked. 

Hello, I'm using a STM32G0B1RE and a nucleo SRC1M1 in order to charge and communicate with a tablet in power delivery mode with 5V 3A. I followed the following tutorial: STM32StepByStep:Getting started with USB-Power Delivery Source - stm32mcu (stmicroelectronics.cn) from STM, at first it kinda worked, I had a connection with the tablet in the traces with it confirming it does take 5V and 3A as well as the IN SOPs:002 H:0x0041 GOODCRC message but since it was connected on a hub, it kept turning on and off. So I took the cable for the ST off the hub and directly onto the computer (the nucleo is receiving 5V 3A from an external source) but since then when I go on the board selection and connect the tablet, it keeps disconnecting. I checked, there doesn't seem to be any loss of voltage, so I'm quite lost as to why the board doesn't want to connect with the app.I also changed the STM32, changed computer, changed cable between the tablet and nucleo, nothing changes. I've started using the recently published UM3291 to have smoother workflows with my other acquisition tools There are a few glitches that makes life a little bit more annoying than it should be.- The first one beeing the prompt "stlp >", which has to be filtered out. A disable prompt would save some code.Especially when using command during ascii streaming where it prefixes a measurement when sending a command like targrst.- The new line configuration works better when setting CR or LF rather than CR+LF. Otherwise, there is one blank line after each line with content.- The table 28 gives ascii data format. The example does not match that format.According to the table, the lenght is always 8 characters. The example is 7 character long. The byte 6 is missing (-7, instead of -07).- There should be a response pattern : [ack|error] [command] : [response]. Some commands do not match such a pattern, like whoami, echo, pwrend. Status command do match, but it does not appear clearly.- T

Hello!I've been trying for a while to download the STM32CubeMonitor (STM32CubeMon-Win) from:https://www.st.com/en/development-tools/stm32cubemonitor.html However, everytime I try to download, I get the following error.Obviously I am logged in but it still refuses to give me the download link.If I try to login "again" by clicking "Login/Register", it sends me to the same page and same thing happens again. However, the most important part is that I can download any other software from the website (such as STM32CubeIDE and even STM32CMonPwr). Things I tried:- Different old accounts- Fresh account- Chrome Browser- Opera Browser- Cleaned browser cache several times- Different network- Tried with my cellphone (4G network)- Restarted PC- Different computer- Tried to download all software versions (1.0.0 up to 1.7.0) Can I just get the link direct please?Thanks!

When I open STM32CubeMonitor-Power (V1.2.1) the initial window is too large and spans both of my screens.My setup is HP Evny 17 laptop - Windows 11 (home) with 4K screen (3840x2160), secondary monitor full HD (1920x1080).Fortunately I can still access the window title bar to move the window down to access the maximise / minimise icons.Minimising winodw to task bar and reopening has same issue. Only if I Maximising does the window fill my 4K screen  or secondary screen corrently.. Could be Windows 11 issue!!!, any idea's?

I am trying to write to a memory location for a nucleo board. As far as I have seen so far the simplest way to do this is as follows: This can be problematic when the code changes and the memory address shifts for the variable I'm interested. I'm sure there is a simple way in which you can write to a variable in the same way that you read but I'm not sure how to do that. Would anyone be able to explain how to for me? Thanks!

Hi,I use CubeMonitor V1.8.0 with my STM32G474QET device. Unfortunately the chart inside the dashboard is very small so I can`t work with it. Is there any possibility to set the size of the graph? The only thing I found is the duration in seconds, but that only changes the resolution but not the chart size itself. Thanks for any recomendations.Benedikt

I need to start using STM32CubeMonitor on my NUCLEO-G071RB to monitor some variables of my new firmware application developed with STM32CubeIDE 1.15.0. I never used STM32CubeMonitor before, so I installed the last STM32CubeMonitor 1.8.0 on my Windows 11 Pro 23H2 64-bit PC.I launch STM32CubeMonitor and it opens the Basic Flow for a simple acquisition. I try to configure the nodes myProbe_Out and myProbe_In as explained in STM32CubeMonitor:How to select the target article, but no probe are listed in the acq stlink in/out node properties:My NUCLEO-G071RB board is connected and its embedded ST-LINK/V2-1 is properly enumerated as ST-Link Debug with the last driver:The ST-LINK/V2-1 is updated with the last firmware version:And the ST-LINK/V2-1 is properly detected by STM32CubeIDE and STM32CubeProgrammer:I also installed the last ST-LINK Server 2.1.1, but I got no change. I remember using this software about year ago, but I cant even download it.  https://www.st.com/en/development-tools/stm32cubemonitor.html#overview Ther is not any download link visible, but I see links and can download any other software.  I also can't see any info about Monitor software being unavilable. Where is the problem then?

In the user manual for STM32CubeMonPwr it mentions the ability to run ULPMark tests. Where is the firmware located for running this benchmark? The link in the user manual goes to www.st.com (see section 4.8.2 above Figure 29)

Hi everyone,I'm looking for a way to monitor a large structure using STM32CubeMonitor (or other solutions if not possible with CubeMonitor).I'm working on STM32L431RCT6My structure is composed like followed:typedef struct { uint16_t a; uint16_t b; } _Type1; typedef struct { uint16_t c; _Type1 d[500]; } _Type2;The structure I would like to monitor is of _Type2 type and is stored in flash (It is not declared in code). The structure above is only declared to easily interpret the data when accessing them. It's address is 0x08037000.I can do it in debug mode with CubeIDE but that is far from ideal. I found out about CubeMonitor and I tried to use it to monitor this structure but that proved to be not as easy as I expected. Is there actually a way to do this ? Do I have to put it in RAM in order to monitor it ?Thank you for your help !

Hi, The font size is way too small for me. I use Ubuntu, system-wide font scaling factor set to 1.5. This does not affect the font in STM32CubeMonitor. It is really small. Any ideas how the font size can be increased? STM32CubeMonitor-Power - v1.2.1 Thank you!

Hi,I purchased new LPM01a board for power consumption analysis. When I am powering it up with usb host port (JP3 -> usb) red led light up. I tried with different hosts (desktop and laptop) but that does not works. I am getting error "Get current range command failed" in STM32CubeMonitor-Power. From google I found out that pc current limit is upto 100mA only. However, in user manual of LPM01, it specified that 500mA is required for working otherwise red led will light up. My first question is, if PC can be configared to deliver current upto 500mA, then how?Alternatively, LPM01 can be also powered from external CN7 jumper with JP3 set to Ext.In this regard, My 2nd  question is:In Ext power mode, data acquisition with STM32CubeMonitor-Power is still possible via usb port (CN5), or only the board display is available?

The STLink V3-PWR has the potential to be a great tool.  However, STM32CubeMonitor-Power (v1.2.1) has a critical issue that seems likely to generate many unnecessary support calls to ST: there is no way to run the tool without logging acquisitions to disk...and at high sampling frequency, it captures a LOT of data. I discovered this the hard way when I ran it overnight with the acquisition time set to infinite and the next day my drive was full.  Even worse, it's not obvious where all that data is stored (Users/myUserName/AppData/Local/Temp/Power_Monitor/Acquisition).Please consider allowing users to run the tool and observe consumption without also logging the data to disk.  A few simple UI controls would add a great deal of value and I suspect most of these are low-effort.  The first one is the difference between this being a daily-use tool and one that is marginally useful.Checkbox to enable/disable logging (should be disabled by default)Link to folder where logs

Please find the given DSO image !!!! blue is fault signal and yellow is PWM   I need to stop the PWM, if a fault will come, while doing this my PWM is  turning off  but not fully its showing a ramp down of 88usec and then becoming zero. given configuration in my IOCGPIO setting for timer  and fault signal is  GPIO mode: Alternating PUSH PULL    pull down   

HiIs there a RedNode plugin / Script for the power measurement with the STLink V3PWR? Or do I need to do that by myself with the UM2269 manual? Thanks in advancenobody

HiOn windows:1. STLINKv3PWR is not recognised by cube monitor power when connected a USB hub (select Board is empty).2. some times the PC software takes up to 20 seconds to find the comport.3. diconnection of the device (USB) duing acquisition leads to a hang of cube monitor. I couldnt even find a process to kill in task manager. 

Is there a scheduled release date for 1.8.0?Will 1.8.0 include improvements to the elf parser to support non-trivial data structures (i.e., nested structures with arrays, etc.)?
