What is the capacitance IO of HSE and LSE?
We have a custom board with and STM32MP153CAA processor and are trying to get it to boot from an SMCC card on SDMMC2 interface. If I loaded the tf and fip files via a UART I am able to get u-boot running and then use the "run bootcmd_mmc0" to boot the linux kernel from the SDMMC2 car from there. So I know that the electrical connection to the SD card is correct. However we'd like to have the whole boot process read from the card at power up.I have an SD card laid out with the partition scheme used to boot the discovery boards from SDMMC1 and have written the boot loaders to the card. I have tried setting the OTP word 3 to 0x10 which from ST's documentation I would believe should set up the boot from the SDMMC2 card and have set the boot pins to 101 binary which should tell the processor that the primary boot should be from SDMMC card, but if will not boot. I get nothing at all output to UART-4 which I have set up as console nor any indication that the board is trying to read from
Hi all,I have been trying to build a custom machine based on STM32MP157C MPU. Right now I am facing a weird issue.Defconfig file is attached. However upon giving build , i cannot see the stm32-crc module , built added and loaded. Is there something which i am missing? TIA
Hello,When trying to access this page: https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/Bring-up_troubleshooting_grid I get a permission error. This page is found by the search function. Is this page not available to everyone ?Thansk in advance for your reply
I loaded STM32MP157D-DK1 board configuration in STM32CubeIDE and used the generated device tree files for U-Boot and TF-A compilation. The file MYPROJECT/CA7/DeviceTree/MYPROJECT/tf-a/stm32mp157d-myproject-mx-fw-config.dts contains this line:#include "stm32mp15-ddr-512m-fw-config.dts"This causes a fatal error during tf-a compilation due to "No such file or directory".I searched the internet for this missing file but only found a dead link here: https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_configure_TF-A_FW_CONFIGThanks for any help in advance.

I managed to make the M4 WWDOG to work.I got on Linux cmd line:remoteproc remoteproc0: crash detected in m4: type watchdogHow can I catch and handle this events programmatically on a shell script, C or Python ?
Please excuse my ignorance in this matter. We develop a custom board based on STM32MP15f-DK2. We would like to use Segger's J-link devices for initial codeloads.I understand that mmc/sd card are not memory-mapped flash types, so j-link will not work without some sort of intermediate booting software downloaded to DDR.Are there any sample projects available that would realize such functionality?Programming the device using DFU is not an option in this case.--Best regards,Tomasz
we are using M28W320ECT 3V Supply Flash Memory for more than 10 years wo any problems in our MCU units now, suddenly in new production this part is gone defect several times- drawing current on the 12V programming Voltage Input, no read /write operation anymore, design wasn't changed, Voltages aso also checked( Especially 12V is OK), everything correct,Any experience or hint what else could be a root cause for thisany comment appreciated, thks&rgds, Thomas
Hello,I am desing with reference STM32MP153 and I would like connect two devices to through of MAC to MAC ports without PHY layer, Is it possible?, In attach figure connection shonw as I should do the connection between devices without phy layer:Is it posible? could you help me?
Hi,I am using stm32mp157c and fixed pll4p (125MHz) clock in dtb.st,pll@3 { reg = <3>; cfg = <3 124 5 5 5 PQR(1,0,0)>; };I see that pll4p is fixed (125MHZ )in clk_summury. But i want to change clock speed in run time if my condition become true. Searching this situation in google, i found common clock framework API. But i didn't find any example on stm32mp1. I don't understand stm32mp1 support this framework. How can i dynamically change pll clock speed? Any suggestion?Best Regards.Ali Mesut Ince
Any recommendations on how to install Node.js on OpenSTLinux / OpenEmbedded?I want to run some node.js applications on the A7 processor.I found this repository but there has been no activity for a few years.https://github.com/imyller/meta-nodejs
Hello!Board: STM32MP157F using STM32MP15-Ecosystem-v3.1.0We are using SPI4 to interface and control a FPGA by a custom SPI protocol driver.This works great!To get faster data transfer the QSPI interface should be used. The FPGA will deliver data with up to 200MBit/s.This is how we currently configured SPI4:/* SPI */ &spi4 { pinctrl-names = "default", "sleep"; pinctrl-0 = <&spi4_pins_b>; pinctrl-1 = <&spi4_sleep_pins_b>; cs-gpios = <&gpioe 11 0>; /* PE11 : SPI4,NSS */ status = "okay"; dspi@0 { compatible = "dspi4"; reg = <0>; /* CS #0 */ spi-max-frequency = <4500000>; }; };https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/QUADSPI_device_tree_configurationonly talks about memory and the MTD framework.Can I use something like this to access QSPI by a custom SPI protocol driver?This is completely untested and should only serve to show what I want to achieve:/* QUADSPI */ &qspi { pinctrl-names = "default", "sleep"; pinctrl-0 = <&

Hi everyoneI am trying to modify the Kernel during the Distribution Package method (compiled from Yocto directly to the image)I have followed the information in the following pages:https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/WLAN_overviewhttps://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_customize_the_Linux_kernelhttps://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/Menuconfig_or_how_to_configure_kernelMy setup is importing the meta-st-stm32mp, adding my own layers and building an image from core-image (no OpenSTLinux in this case)MACHINE = "stm32mp1-disco"I have created a .bbappend recipe as follows:FILESEXTRAPATHS:prepend := "${THISDIR}:${THISDIR}/linux-stm32mp:" KERNEL_CONFIG_FRAGMENTS:append = "${WORKDIR}/fragments/5.10/fragment-06-wlan.config" SRC_URI:append = " file://5.10/fragment-06-wlan.config;subdir=fragments " SRC_URI:class-devupstream += "file://5.10/fragment-06-wlan.config;subdir=fragments" # Autoload WiFi driver on boot KERNEL_MODULE_AUTOLOAD:append = "brcmfmac" IMAGE_INSTALL:append = " ker
I want to power 5V to the discovery kits through pins 2 and 4 on CN2 connector. Is that ok? Any recommended circuitry?
Hello,I just wanted to let you know there is an error in the tamper driver written for Tamper configuration in TF-A fork repository. When enabling an external tamper in passive mode, the configuration is writting the passive mode in the wrong register, disabling the external tamper. This should be written in the atcr1 register but it is being written in the cr1 register.if ((tamp_ext->mode & TAMP_ACTIVE) == TAMP_ACTIVE) { SETBITS(*cr1atcr1, _TAMP_ATCR1_ETAMPAM(id)); } else { CLRBITS(*cr1atcr1, _TAMP_ATCR1_ETAMPAM(id)); }PS: I am not sure this is the right place to put this kind of messages, where should I contact you if I find any other error/bug?Best regards
Hi,I am currently trying to make some changes in the kernel form the latest openstlinux development package v3.1.0. I have one query ; when we compile kernel modules are there still certian modules which do not get compiled?I can see that after compilition I am getting an error for the vermagic for the galckore.ko which does not seem to get compiled with kernel.Even if i have the CONFIG_MODEVERSIONS=y , still i seem to get vermagic error. How do i get past this ? Also how to re-compile this module?

Hi again, that's how i understood it so far, correct me if i'm wrong:openstlinux on STM32MP1 uses arch_sys_counter as clocksourcecat /sys/devices/system/clocksource/clocksource0/available_clocksource arch_sys_counterwhich also serves as clock source for CLOCK_MONOTONICarch_sys_counter uses STGEN as time base.this would imply that reading CLOCK_MONOTONIC(_RAW) (sec + nsec) should result in STGEN time values (/ STGEN_FREQ).When i read STGENR (using the mmap on A7) and CLOCK_MONOTONIC(_RAW) I get the following:STGEN: 179706903683 = 7487.787653 MON 7479.443003674 MONR 7479.474111358 STGEN: 179706906840 = 7487.787785Do you have any explanation where the ~8 secs difference come from? Also, what is the most efficient way of reading STGENR from the A7 side in userland? (is it the mmap or is there some more direct way?)Thanks in advance,Thomas
Dear community,I once again need your help. :)I'm using a TAS5760L on a custom board with STM32MP157 MPU and Yocto-Linux, Dunfell.Since the codec is not part of the available Linux kernel audio codecs, a simple spdif-codec (inux,spdif-dit) with I2S signal is used to send data to the TAS5760L.Audio is working quite well when playing wav-files with aplay. But I recognised, that the Frame Sync (FS, or LRCLK) is always at 48kHz, no matter what is configured in the device tree or in /etc/alsa.conf.Background:For aplay this doesn't matter much, but if audio is streamed via Bluetooth (at 44.1kHz) there is a difference in sample rates, which results in the following error:"An underrun has occurred". This error occurs cyclically about every 7 seconds and a glitch/stutter can be heard then in the audio.I use bluez-alsa (bluealsa/bluealsa-aplay) to send audio stream from for example a smartphone to the board. Here is some more information:Bluetooth module has CYW4343W chipset (same as the STM32MP
