Hi,We are working on developing a custom board that necessitates the immediate activation of a buzzer with a predefined frequency as soon as the board is powered up. We are exploring the feasibility of utilizing the PWM driver in U-Boot to achieve this functionality. Can anyone advise if it is possible to configure the U-Boot PWM driver to meet this requirement? Additionally, we are seeking references or guidance regarding the necessary configurations in the U-Boot device tree and source code to accomplish this task effectively.
I am trying to create a new board based on STM32MP135D.An error occurs while running u-boot on optee layer. The log below is the log where error occurs. Full log is attached as file. Hi! Is there a way to run unit tests automatically on the STM32MP157-DK2 board? I've managed to flash the device using the STM32 Programmer CLI, but after flashing, I need to manually switch the bootmode to boot from the SD-card.It would be great if the flash and boot could be triggered completely automatically, e.g. by a Jenkins script. If the device could flash and boot without any manual steps, it would make it possible to run various test scripts completely automatically on the real hardware. Is this in any way possible?
Sorry to bother you.I don't need the HDMI chip(sii9022) in my project. So, I first removed the HDMI chip on the STM32P157F-DK2. In fact, I manually removed it with a soldering iron. My SDK and development environment are based on "stm32mp1-openstlinux-6.1-yocto- mickledore-mp1-v23.06.21" "en.SDK-x86_64-stm32mp1-openstlinux-6.1-yocto-mickledore-mp1-v23.06.21.tar.gz".At first I didn't make any modification, the mipi display screen will not work normally after the kernel boots, after some fumbling, I modified the device tree and now the mipi screen displays normally, my modification points are as follows(filename:stm32mp15xx-dkx.dtsi):hdmi-transmitter@39 { compatible = "sil,sii9022"; reg = <0x39>; iovcc-supply = <&v3v3_hdmi>; cvcc12-supply = <&v1v2_hdmi>; reset-gpios = <&gpioa 10 GPIO_ACTIVE_LOW>; interrupts = <1 IRQ_TYPE_EDGE_FALLING>; interrupt-parent = <&gpiog>; #sound-dai-cells = <0>; status = "disabled"; p
hi,st engineer I am required to conduct Ethernet debugging on an stm32mp157a-st-discovery development board running the RT-THREAD operating system. Within the stm32mp157 Processor Reference Manual, I've encountered such option as follow:10/100M Gigabit Ethernet GMAC. It's mentioned that GMAC is an Intellectual Property (IP) from Synopsys. I want to use GMAC in RT-thread operating system, but i did not find the realted code. here is the link: https://gitee.com/rtthread/rt-thread/tree/master/bsp/stm32/stm32mp157a-st-discovery Do you have adapation for GMAC on RT-Thread?If you are not in charge of this aspect, could you please forward this to the relevant colleague who is responsible? Here is what i find in RM0436 Rev 6 Document.

Hi,Currently i am looking for an easy way:to change the device tree, to assign peripherals to the M4 Coprocessor for quasi real time applications. i do have a STM32MP157F-DK2 board for testing and also a board with Debian, which i purchased from a different vendor who has built it´s own Linux image, which i want to use.The vendor does not provide any CubeMX files for his design, or any other information regarding his design. So... do i need to built everything from scratch myself ?
Hi everybody, I'm trying to configure the Wi-Fi module on my custom board (based on the STM32MP153, the Wi-Fi module already tested OK) in Access point mode, and I found the official guide to set hostapd tool to do that: https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_configure_a_WLAN_interface_on_hotspot_mode However, from the tutorial, it seems that hostapd is already installed and preconfigured on the machine, but on my distro (built from st-image-core with openstlinux-5.15-yocto-kirkstone-mp1-v22.07.27) it seems that is not present by default... How can I add the tool on Yocto layers? Do I have to modify the kernel too? Should be best to add it on my custom/board-specific meta-layer. Thanks for your time
Hi,I'm attempting to test some Object Detection demo models from the X-LINUX-AI expansion package on the STM32MP157D-EV1 eval kit with a live camera video stream. However, I'm currently having what seems like a streaming problem with both the C++ or Python apps (refered to as "Object Detection COCO SSD v1"). When launching those apps on the device, the app window opens, but the stream never starts.Hence, to investigate the issue, I performed some manual GStreamer testing with command lines. It seems that with the CSI camera part of the kit, the stream will not start when the required data transfer rate is too high. For example, the stream will start with the following parameters: "video/x-raw, width=720, height=480, framerate=(fraction)15/1", but not with 30 fps with the same resolution. When we reduce the resolution to "width=320, height=240", we can reach 30 fps. Furthermore, when using a USB third party camera, the streaming limitation does no occur. Please find a
Hello. We recently purchased a complete set of stm32mp157x-Ev. The documentation shows only the main connectors. Where can I find a complete schematic for both boards?
Hey All,So I know it's mentioned in the data sheet that the stm32mp1xx MPU's only support 16/32 bit DDR ram, and that it also mentions the limit of 1GByte total ram, but I just wanted to confirm this isn't possible and specifically why as I cannot find out much about what is the limiting factor here. For example this IC:https://au.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Intelligent-Memory/IM8G08D3FFDG-125I?qs=Y0Uzf4wQF3k9cXZekshqqQ%3D%3DAlternatively, could I push it up to 2GBytes by adding an additional MPU with its on 1GB of ram whilst also pushing it up as a quad core system? And if so, what the best communication method would be between them. Thanks in advance for any help!
Hello, I am currently using bare-metal MP13 solution in CubeIDE. I want to integrate uart with DMA. After configuring DMA settings for uart4, a following fragment of DMA init code has been generated:NVIC is not available for Cortex-A, but still its functions are being generated. My question is, how can I properly adjust MX_DMA_Init for uart interrupts without NVIC and code generation?Do you have any ideas? Thank you,Jacek S.
Hi, I am using STM32MP153 and DCMI interface, camera OV5640.we are using DT same as here: DCMI device tree configuration - stm32mpuFor 640x480 or higher, we always get dma error as below:For 320x240: Seems first capture has no problem, but start from second capture, we also always have dma error as below: does anyone know what I am missing, please?
We are currently experiencing a major issue with eMMC on our custom boards using STM32MP153CAC. Our boards are booting normally with 1 wire mode, but as soon as 8 wire/bit mode is enabled, it starts to bug out. Here is the description of the problem from our linux developer:- Starts up on 8 bit bus width, but- Does not stay at 8 bit bus width- And after it falls back to 4 bit, it tries to switch back to 8 bit, but fails- The clock seems to "only" be 27 MHz, and not 52 MHz- The actual read and write speed is lower then it should be, 8 bit DDR52 should be around 50 MByte/s read and 30 MByte/s writebut it looks to be more around 2-3 MBytes/s- Read and write bigger file seems to prevoke the from 8 bit to 4 bit - If configured to start at 4 bit DDR52, fallback 4 bit mmc high-speed (not DDR)Here is information about the PCB:- 8 layer- We only use 3.3V for the emmc, on both power domains- Here is how the emmc is connectedHere is information on clock set up in TF-A:&etzpc{ secure-status =

Hello,U-Boot has an stboard command that writes a board ID into OTP (word 59 on STM32MP15x lines, word 60 on 13x lines).TF-A displays this board ID if a device tree label "board_id" is present in the bsec node.Could you please explain the purpose of the board ID field and how it should be used when developing a custom product/board with a STM32MP1 CPU? Is it intended that we give our products a board ID in the structure as evaluated/printed in the TF-A code?Or is this just a field for ST eval boards and irrelevant for custom product developments? Thanks.
How and where I should I edit stm32mp135f-dk.dts in yocto?? I need to edit pinmux files of kernel, I want that if I make final image files using yocto then those edited images should get include in final image using bitbake? Or the second method is to take out developer package and edit pinmux and dtsi, dts files of linux kernel then generate uImage and dtbs then copy them in /boot folder in board. Please clear my doubts!!!
I am using stm32mp13, How can i enable support for rs485.According to documentation i find that I have to enable DE in USART3 but i can't find it in dts.

Hi,I'm currently attempting to make my first Starter Package flash on STM32MP157D-EV1 by following this guide:https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/STM32MP15_Evaluation_boards_-_Starter_Package However, it seems that the TSV "trusted" folder is missing in en.flash-stm32mp1-openstlinux-6.1-yocto-mickledore-mp1-v23.06.21.tar.gz package. Thus, the following command gives an error: STM32_Programmer_CLI -c port=usb1 -w flashlayout_st-image-weston/trusted/FlashLayout_sdcard_stm32mp157c-ev1-trusted.tsvError: The file FlashLayout_sdcard_stm32mp157c-ev1-trusted.tsv does not exist, please check the file's pathError: TSV flashing service failedI also see that the file exist in the previous package v5.15.Is their an issue with the 6.1 package or I missed something? How can I fix this? Thanks in advance.
Hello all, good day I hope your Christmas season is going well. I'm looking for a pdf document equivalent of the PDF that is attached to this post that gives description for STM32MP157F-DK2 HAL and low-layer drivers or a HAL API Manual/Programming manual to program our STM32MP157F-DK2 board using STM32CubeIDE. I tried searching the internet for anything of the sort but I couldn't find anything for my STM32MP157F-DK2 board please provide kind support as soon as possible thank you best regards.
I have developed a custom stm32mp157c board with a nand IC as storage using the FMC peripheral. This has worked fine with kernel v5.15, but I am trying to upgrade to kernel v6.1 due to driver related issues of the ethernet switch. However I can't seem to detect the mtd device anymore with the new kernel. I have done some digging and it seems it might be related to the new sys bus driver for the etzpc. The nand driver (FMC2) does currently not seem to load at boot. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Is dit an issue with my devicetree or is there something wrong in de kernel.
Hello, I've been attempting to get video output via the usb of the STM32MP157F-DK2 for some time now. From the research I've been doing, it seems as though there might be a possibility of it not being possible on certain hardware. Can anyone confirm if it is possible to do this on this board? And if someone has accomplished it, how did you do so? Thanks,
Hi I am working on a custom board based on STM32MP157A . For USBH_EHCI while checking the register (USBH_EHCI_INSNREG05) mentioned in the reference manual (RM0436) it was mentioned to refer to UTMI specification. could you please suggest / share me the vendor specific UTMI specific document for the below attached image Thanks&RegardsSrikanth
