I've been trying to build OpenSTDroid distribution for my STM32MP25F7-EV1, I have followed these steps:Download OpenSTDroid Distribution (following the wiki linked here).Build OpenSTDroid using the wiki linked here.when I excuted make, there was an error report:files are incompatible: Runtime info and framework compatibility matrix are incompatible: No kernel entry found for kernel version 6.1 at kernel FCM version 7. The following kernel requirements are checked Am I use the wrong kernel version? Any insight would be helpful. In STM32MP1, there is an USB hub for 4 USB-A connectors. The hub is Microchip USB2514B. Were 4 means "4 ports".In STM32MP2, there is an USB too, for 2 USB-A connectors. The hub is Microchip USB2412B. Were 2 means "2 ports".According to AN5489, it says at 8.13 " Multiple hi-speed USB hosts using an external USB hub component is not described here.". So is that an answer for "yes, it's possible to use USB 2514B with STM32MP2"?
At STM32MP1, there is an USB OTG, were you can flash the eMMC via the USB OTG. But in STM32MP2, there is no USB OTG. Does this mean that I need to flash my SD-card instead? Just like Raspberry Pi etc.?Or am I supposed to flash the eMMC via the USB C connector?
Hello,I'm considering basing a project on an STM32MP25x, and while it looks like a very capable chip I have some questions about the capabilities and their interactions. If anyone can point me in the right direction I will be very appreciative.First, what is the achievable performance of the USB3 in terms of streaming data to or from the chip? I've done some cursory searches but can't find any benchmarks. I'm assuming it well exceeds the gigabit ethernet ports individually but it would be nice to know where the performance tops out. Second, is there a way to have both USB3 data transfer and USB power delivery negotiation on the same physical port? I ask because the demo boards seem to use two physically distinct ports for this purpose. Third, I assume the PLL for the USB3 block(s) enables a variety of input frequencies to be used, but I wonder if there are any high level requirements to this that I should watch out for. Fourth, and this is more of a cubeMX question
Issue SummaryWhen trying to rotate the display on an STM32MP157C board from landscape (800x480) to portrait (480x800) mode, I'm experiencing issues. Using the /sys/class/graphics/fb0/rotate interface doesn't actually rotate the display, and using Qt's EGLFS with rotation settings results in only half the screen being rotated properly.Hardware InformationBoard: STM32MP157CDisplay controller: STM32 LTDC (LCD-TFT Display Controller)Screen dimensions: 800x480 (native landscape)Framebuffer: /dev/fb0DRM device: /dev/dri/card0What I've TriedSetting framebuffer rotation via sysfs: echo 1 > /sys/class/graphics/fb0/rotateThis changes the value but doesn't affect display.Using EGLFS KMS config with rotation:QString configPath = "/tmp/eglfs_kms.json";QFile configFile(configPath);if (configFile.open(QIODevice::WriteOnly | QIODevice::Text)) {configFile.write("{\n"" \"device\": \"/dev/dri/card0\",\n"" \"outputs\": [\n"" {\n"" \"name\": \"DPI-1\",\n"" \"mode\": \"480x800\",\n"" \"transform\": \"rot
I understand this will have severely negative impact on performance. But can this be done anyway?If the answer is yes. A further question is, will this break the access to PCIE/NVME SSD for some hardware or software limitation, say, the driver or dma or something else requires DDR SDRAM, and PSRAM won't work for OCTOSPI controller are not in high speed AXI bus matrix. Our use case is a battery powered device, logging tremendous amount of raw adc data to PCIE/NVME SSD. If an external power adapter is plugged, DDR memory will be brought up to access SSD and network. But when the device is logging only and running on battery, we hope to minimize power consumption of Cortex A system. Unfortunately a file system must be used on SSD, otherwise we don't need Linux kernel in this state.

Dear ST Developer Support, I want to flash st-android-13.0.0-2024-07-31-stm32mp257f-ev1-emmc-starter images, how can I flash it, could you provide some guides? thank you so much.
Hi All,We bought 3 STM32MP157D-EV1 boards (https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/stm32mp157f-ev1.html)While running in it as it is out of the box, we have found out that on-board STLink-V2.1 doesn't work at all when connected to Win11.We've installed latest STM32CubeProgrammer and it actually installed latest STLink USB drivers (VCP and STLink) but despite all our efforts STLink doesn't work (LD06 doesn't glow) and Win11 Device Manager flags it as under error:Is there solution to this issue ?
Hello There,We are using the board stm32mp257-ev1. Which has "STPMIC25A".I want to change voltage of LDO2 and BUCK4 on boot permanently (NVM of stpmic25A).Can i change these supply from stm32mp257-ev1 board itself ? If yes, How ? Thanks and Regards,Ishan

Dear community,we use STM32MP1 SoC in some of our projects. Normally, we use eMMC card, so we use just two DIP switch positions: 000 (for uploading images into eMMC) and 010 (for booting from eMMC). We utilize SD card after booting from eMMC for storing our data. Once I prepared bootable SD card and tried booting from SD using DIP switch 101 position. And nothing happened. As long as we setup pins for SD card (in CubeMX, for example) and build images, Linux, U-boot and DTB become updated, so LInux and U-boot know, what actual pinout of SD card is. I wonder, at the first boot stage while BootROM selects media to proceed booting: eMMC, SD, USB (according to DIP switch position) how does it know actual SD (or eMMC) card pinout ? I miss something important, please, guide me.

I will post this in the software-related section.
I'm running a small STM32-board with the original STLinux. This board comes with some kind of USB OTG port. Now I want to configure this port to let it act as serial device, means when I connect it to an other PC via that USB-port, I like to appear it as COM or /dev/ttY* there.What I have so far is a script which should do the trick:mkdir -p /sys/kernel/config/usb_gadget/g1 cd /sys/kernel/config/usb_gadget/g1 echo 0x1111 > idVendor echo 0x2222 > idProduct mkdir strings/0x409 echo "0DEADBEEF" > strings/0x409/serialnumber echo "Me, myself and I" > strings/0x409/manufacturer echo "MyDevice" > strings/0x409/product mkdir configs/c.1 echo 120 > configs/c.1/MaxPower modprobe usb_f_acm mkdir functions/acm.0 ln -s functions/acm.0 configs/c.1 echo 0000:01:00.0 > UDCThe mkdir command works only when I execute this as root and with sudo. But my problem is the last line: It always fails with ansh: write error: Device or resource busyHere neither root nor sudo nor both do help.
Hello, I need some advice.I would like to know if the STM32MP135 processor is capable of reading a USB UVC camera through its USB host port. I currently have a USB camera based on the OV9734 sensor.I know the documentation states that the processor supports an 8- to 16-bit camera interface, but in my case, I need to use a USB camera.Can someone clarify if this is possible?
i am using stm32mp135-dk board . i have installed the STM32MP1-Ecosystem-v5.0.0 Starter Package now i want to install python how i can install ?
I am about to integrate Ezurio sna module If 513 with the STM32MP257F-EV another to provide wireless capabilities to my board. does any one try this before for any assistance. I am using mini PCIE TO M.2 adapter to connect. so if there is any to assist me with a complete guide , I will appreciate, Thank you.
Moved from MCUs forum: STM32MP13 is an MPU - not an MCU.Hello Everyone,I hope you’re doing well. I’m encountering a problem when trying to boot Linux directly instead of U-Boot on our STM32MP135F-DK board. Below is a summary of what I’ve done and the error I see:1. We are following the steps mentioned in this link How to measure the DDR throughput - stm32mpu.However we are facing the below error while trying to use stm32_ddr_pmu We inserted the lkm module stm32_ddr_pmu.ko using modprobe. The lsmod lists the stm32_ddr_pmu The zcat shows that CONFIG_STM32_DDR_PMU is enabledperf list does not show the stm32_ddr_pmu Can you please help us to find what are we missing here?
I have created basic image with DISTRO=openstlinux-weston MACHINE=stm32mp25-disco, and tried to add device tree files and I have tried to switch to new device tree variant via configuration, and I am planning to emmc to flash the image, I have done integration for all the files in the new device tree folder. Once I try to build with new configuration, I am facing issues during the build process.
Hi all,i'm developing firmware for STM32MP135F-DK board to communicate with some external chips in I2C1.No problems if I communicate with other I2C chips (clockgen, eeprom, io expander).Communicating with the RTC PCF85063 chip happens that no problems if I send write command.If I send a read registry command the I2C bus stucks with the SCL and SCK lines at low level. And the bus stays locked until MP135 reset. If i only power down, than power up, the PCF chip, the SDA line goes up but the SCL line stays low so again i2c locked.I attached the scope screeshot: in particular I see the initial write/set current register acknoledged; when I send the read command I see the read packet with the chip address (0x51+1 bit high for read) but it is never acknoledged cause the lines levels..The problem is always present even I change the register to read.For each kind of communication I'0m using the HAL_I2C_* functions.Any idea?Thanks
Dear ST Team,I am currently working with the STM32MP257x-EV1 evaluation board to validate the BSP, following the official setup procedure provided on your Wiki.At this stage, I am verifying OpenAMP communication between the Cortex-A35 and Cortex-M33 cores. However, I have encountered an issue where the VIRT_UART0_RxCpltCallback function in the M33 firmware does not produce any output, and it appears that the callback might not be triggered.I would appreciate your assistance in clarifying the following:Are there any specific operational steps I might have missed?Could there be any misconfigurations in my current setup?How can I verify whether VIRT_UART0_RxCpltCallback is actually being executed?Thank you for your support. void VIRT_UART0_RxCpltCallback(VIRT_UART_HandleTypeDef *huart){LOG_INFO("UART0 RX Callback, %d bytes received", huart->RxXferSize);VirtUart0ChannelRxSize = huart->RxXferSize < MAX_BUFFER_SIZE? huart->RxXferSize : MAX_BUFFER_SIZE-1;memcpy(Vi
