I have doubts, please give solution. I am using stm32mp135f series processor.1. How should I remove all components of stm32mp135f-dk-a7-examples from rootfs, I want my device to boot fast and but for few seconds it waits for stm32mp135f-dk-a7-examples.dtb. I have doubts its components increasing rootfs size.2. How can I decrease size of rootfs and kernel uImage.?3. Can I use .tar file of rootfs in place of ext4 format for my hardware and use stm32cube programmer to upload all rootfs?
We are currently experiencing a major issue with eMMC on our custom boards using STM32MP153CAC. Our boards are booting normally with 1 wire mode, but as soon as 8 wire/bit mode is enabled, it starts to bug out. Here is the description of the problem from our linux developer:- Starts up on 8 bit bus width, but- Does not stay at 8 bit bus width- And after it falls back to 4 bit, it tries to switch back to 8 bit, but fails- The clock seems to "only" be 27 MHz, and not 52 MHz- The actual read and write speed is lower then it should be, 8 bit DDR52 should be around 50 MByte/s read and 30 MByte/s writebut it looks to be more around 2-3 MBytes/s- Read and write bigger file seems to prevoke the from 8 bit to 4 bit - If configured to start at 4 bit DDR52, fallback 4 bit mmc high-speed (not DDR)Here is information about the PCB:- 8 layer- We only use 3.3V for the emmc, on both power domains- Here is how the emmc is connectedHere is information on clock set up in TF-A:&etzpc{ secure-status =
Is there any way to enable and disable drivers in the kernel from STM32CubeIDE? Hello,U-Boot has an stboard command that writes a board ID into OTP (word 59 on STM32MP15x lines, word 60 on 13x lines).TF-A displays this board ID if a device tree label "board_id" is present in the bsec node.Could you please explain the purpose of the board ID field and how it should be used when developing a custom product/board with a STM32MP1 CPU? Is it intended that we give our products a board ID in the structure as evaluated/printed in the TF-A code?Or is this just a field for ST eval boards and irrelevant for custom product developments? Thanks.
How and where I should I edit stm32mp135f-dk.dts in yocto?? I need to edit pinmux files of kernel, I want that if I make final image files using yocto then those edited images should get include in final image using bitbake? Or the second method is to take out developer package and edit pinmux and dtsi, dts files of linux kernel then generate uImage and dtbs then copy them in /boot folder in board. Please clear my doubts!!!
I am using stm32mp13, How can i enable support for rs485.According to documentation i find that I have to enable DE in USART3 but i can't find it in dts.

Hi,I'm currently attempting to make my first Starter Package flash on STM32MP157D-EV1 by following this guide:https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/STM32MP15_Evaluation_boards_-_Starter_Package However, it seems that the TSV "trusted" folder is missing in en.flash-stm32mp1-openstlinux-6.1-yocto-mickledore-mp1-v23.06.21.tar.gz package. Thus, the following command gives an error: STM32_Programmer_CLI -c port=usb1 -w flashlayout_st-image-weston/trusted/FlashLayout_sdcard_stm32mp157c-ev1-trusted.tsvError: The file FlashLayout_sdcard_stm32mp157c-ev1-trusted.tsv does not exist, please check the file's pathError: TSV flashing service failedI also see that the file exist in the previous package v5.15.Is their an issue with the 6.1 package or I missed something? How can I fix this? Thanks in advance.
Hi,I've been following along with the "Getting started" on the wiki, but I cannot set up the developer package for my STM32MP157x-DK2. Downloading the file and trying to extract the archives, I get the following:```adriaan@ZOBLZO21X5GY3:~$ cd STM32MPU_workspace/tmp/adriaan@ZOBLZO21X5GY3:~/STM32MPU_workspace/tmp$ lltotal 667536drwxr-xr-x 2 adriaan adriaan 4096 Jan 6 16:49 ./drwxr-xr-x 4 adriaan adriaan 4096 Jan 5 16:23 ../-rw-r--r-- 1 adriaan adriaan 262113357 Jan 6 16:45 en.SDK-x86_64-stm32mp1-openstlinux-6.1-yocto-mickledore-mp1-v23.06.21.tar.gz-rw-r--r-- 1 adriaan adriaan 50 Jan 6 16:45 en.SDK-x86_64-stm32mp1-openstlinux-6.1-yocto-mickledore-mp1-v23.06.21.tar.gz:Zone.Identifier-rw-r--r-- 1 adriaan adriaan 421422061 Jan 6 16:46 en.flash-stm32mp1-openstlinux-6-1-yocto-mickledore-mp1-v23-06-21.tar.gz-rw-r--r-- 1 adriaan adriaan 50 Jan 6 16:46 en.flash-stm32mp1-openstlinux-6-1-yocto-mickledore-mp1-v23-06-21.tar.gz:Zone.Identifieradriaan@ZOBLZO21X5GY3:~/STM32MPU_workspace/tmp$ tar xvf en.
Hello all, good day I hope your Christmas season is going well. I'm looking for a pdf document equivalent of the PDF that is attached to this post that gives description for STM32MP157F-DK2 HAL and low-layer drivers or a HAL API Manual/Programming manual to program our STM32MP157F-DK2 board using STM32CubeIDE. I tried searching the internet for anything of the sort but I couldn't find anything for my STM32MP157F-DK2 board please provide kind support as soon as possible thank you best regards.
I have developed a custom stm32mp157c board with a nand IC as storage using the FMC peripheral. This has worked fine with kernel v5.15, but I am trying to upgrade to kernel v6.1 due to driver related issues of the ethernet switch. However I can't seem to detect the mtd device anymore with the new kernel. I have done some digging and it seems it might be related to the new sys bus driver for the etzpc. The nand driver (FMC2) does currently not seem to load at boot. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Is dit an issue with my devicetree or is there something wrong in de kernel.
Hello, I've been attempting to get video output via the usb of the STM32MP157F-DK2 for some time now. From the research I've been doing, it seems as though there might be a possibility of it not being possible on certain hardware. Can anyone confirm if it is possible to do this on this board? And if someone has accomplished it, how did you do so? Thanks,
Hi Guys. I want to increase memory allocated to the eclipse, but I cant find the eclipse.ini fille. Could you direct me into a right direction?
Hi I am working on a custom board based on STM32MP157A . For USBH_EHCI while checking the register (USBH_EHCI_INSNREG05) mentioned in the reference manual (RM0436) it was mentioned to refer to UTMI specification. could you please suggest / share me the vendor specific UTMI specific document for the below attached image Thanks&RegardsSrikanth
I am setting up the fd-can protocol on stm32mp1, please let me know after creating the dts file from stm32mx , how to transfer that file to stm32mp1 to use, do I use the command root@stm32mp1:~# ls / sys/class/netend0 lo usb0 , it doesn't show that there is can0 , and I have another questionwhen I type like this there is flexcan , does it have any effect?root@stm32mp1:~# lsmodModule Size Used byflexcan 32768 0cfg80211 663552 0usb_f_ncm 24576 2u_ether 20480 1 usb_f_ncmlibcomposite 49152 10 usb_f_ncmstm32_adc 36864 0stm32_timer_trigger 20480 1 stm32_adcstm32_lptimer_trigger 16384 1 stm32_adcsnd_soc_stm32_sai_sub 28672 8snd_soc_audio_graph_card 16384 2snd_soc_simple_card_utils 20480 1 snd_soc_audio_graph_cardstusb160x 16384 0stm32_adc_core 20480 0stm32_hash 32768 0crypto_engine 16384 1 stm32_hashtypec 45056 1 stub160xstm32_vrefbuf 16384 1snd_soc_hdmi_codec 16384 1snd_soc_cs42l51_i2c 16384 1snd_soc_cs42l51 24576 1 snd_soc_cs42l51_i2csnd_soc_stm32_i2s 20480 2snd_soc_core 184320 6 snd_soc_st

I am using emmc in place of SD-card for custom hardware of STM32MP135FAE7. If FlashLayout_sdcard_stm32mp135f-dk-optee.tsv file will work using STM32cube programmer to upload all boot files??Whether all procedure will be same for boot sequence as we do for STM32mp135f-dk development kit, like switch positions etc.?? Please clear this doubt!!!
I am trying to configure SPI5 on STM32MP151C where MPU is a master and ESP32C6 is a slave. The clock used in the device tree is HSI 64MHz. SPI driver is running with 2MHz configured and divisor in the SPI_CFG1 register is correctly set to 32. In the dmesg logs I could see that speed is set to 2MHz. What is actually measured with oscilloscope on a clk out is approximately a 1/1000 of configured frequency, around 1.8 kHz. Furthermore duty cycle is clearly not a 50%. Would appreciate any ideas what might be wrong. Could it be some other function configured on that same pin used for clock? Problem in the device tree?
Hi, I set MCO1 using HSE clock and get 8MHz working well (my HSE is 8MHz)But I need 16MHz or higher on MCO1, so I changed to MCO1 source clock by HSI but there is nothing.I tested other CSI, HSE, ... MCO1 work, except for HSI.I think there is something or register to enable HSI but don't know where/ what it isAnyone know how to enable HSI clock?
HelloI'm using stm32mp157aaa3 processor in our custom board. And I'm working on DDR3L with arm-trusted-firmware(V2.5) ddr3 routines as my reference code and reference manual(RM0436) and Application not(AN5168).When I am hard-coding the register values in arm-trusted-firmware it works fine which means my hardware is working fine, but when I'm porting the same code to bare-metal we couldn't read and write the ddr memory location and the ddr memory is not released. And I have also tried STM32DDRFW-UTILS.And here too i get the same issue.Could you please suggest me a way on how to assign memory size for ddr3l and release ddr memory in bare-metal and how to resolve the read and write issue. Thanks&RegardsAkshitha
In the file "Problem description.pdf" you find a description of my problem.I am using visualgdb to compile a Linux application using the GTK-Graphic running on the A7 core of the STM32MP157F-DK2 board. The build process principally works correctly, but there is a problem with user privilege settings.Does sombedy have any ideas how to tackle this problem ?
