Hello, I am trying to boot kernel via TFTP from U-Boot on my DK2 board, after retrieving PXE configuration file successfully, the uImage failed to retrieved. However, I could successfully get uImage file by u-boot tftp command.The steps I am following is https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_boot_the_kernel_via_TFTP_from_U-Boot#pxelinux.cfg_directory.I have installed tftp servers on my Ubuntu, and the pxelinux.cfg directory, PXE configuration file, uImage, stm32mp157c-dk2.dtb are all under tftp directory./tftpboot |---- mmc0_stm32mp157c-dk2.extlinux | |--------- pxelinux.cfg | |------------ 01-00-80-e1-42-51-72 | |--------- uImage | |--------- stm32mp157c-dk2.dtbmy PXE configuration file is:menu title Select the boot mode DEFAULT sdcard LABEL sdcard KERNEL uImage FDT stm32mp157c-dk2.dtb APPEND root=/dev/mmcblk0p6 rootwait rw earlyprintk console=ttySTM0,115200The TF-A, u-boot, uImage, dtb file are all released by ST.The following is
Hi, I try to add a new layer and a new machine to the STM32MP1 Distribution Image. i followed the following tutorials tutorials:https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_create_a_new_open_embedded_layerhttps://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_compile_the_device_tree_with_the_Distribution_PackageHowever, I am still getting the following error:WARNING: st-image-core-1.0-r0 do_populate_lic: Could not copy license file /home/user/workspace/STM32MP1/Distribution-Package/openstlinux-4.19-thud-mp1-19-10-09/layers/meta-st/meta-st-stm32mp-addons/conf/eula/stm32mp1-mymachine to /home/user/workspace/STM32MP1/Distribution-Package/openstlinux-4.19-thud-mp1-19-10-09/build-openstlinuxeglfs-stm32mp1-mymachine/tmp-glibc/work/stm32mp1_mymachine-openstlinux_eglfs-linux-gnueabi/st-image-core/1.0-r0/license-destdir/st-image-core/stm32mp1-mymachine: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/home/user/workspace/STM32MP1/Distribution-Package/openstlinux-4.19-thud-mp1-19-10-09/layers/meta-st/meta-st-stm32mp-addons
Hello,Could you explain the reason why Android is not supported on the STM32MP157C-DK2?I can't find any instructions how to install an Android image on the target? The following example references the coprocessor example for A7 and M4 cores, but misses how this is done:-https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/STM32MP1_Developer_Package_for_Android
Hi there, I am working with a customized STM32MP153A board and trying to boot from eMMC.I had prepared my eMMC following the steps that I found in <u-boot-stm32mp-2018.11-r0 source code directory>/board/st/stm32mp1/README file:8. Prepare eMMC===============You can use U-Boot to copy binary in eMMC.In the next example, you need to boot from SDCARD and the images (u-boot-spl.stm32, u-boot.img)are presents on SDCARD (mmc 0) in ext4 partition 4 (bootfs).To boot from SDCard, select BootPinMode = 1 0 1 and reset.Then you update the eMMC with the next U-Boot command :a) prepare GPT on eMMC, example with 2 partitions, bootfs and roots: # setenv emmc_part "name=ssbl,size=2MiB;name=bootfs,type=linux,bootable,size=64MiB;name=rootfs,type=linux,size=512" # gpt write mmc 1 ${emmc_part}b) copy SPL on eMMC on firts boot partition (SPL max size is 256kB, with LBA 512, 0x200) # ext4load mmc 0:4 0xC0000000 u-boot-spl.stm32 # mmc dev 1 # mmc partconf 1 1 1 1 # mmc write ${fileaddr} 0 200 #
Hi, I need to save a variable from u-boot console but is not possible because the command SAVEENV is disabled (STM32MP1 module) . How can I do?
how do i remove service at the build time,such like avahi-daemon,systemd-timesyncdI don't need them,I hope the system can start as soon as possible by removing unnecessary startup items
Hello,i use STM32mpu1-dk2 and want to implement an update over the air mechanism. For that i would duplicate all partitions from fsbl to u-boot, that meansfsbl, teeh, teed, teep, u-boot.Now i would like to know how one can tell TF-A which partion should be choosen for the next boot stage. That means, imagine we have 2 partioitns for OP-Tee and we have updated Op-TEE (teeh, teed teep), now we want fsbl to starts from the new updatetd OP-Tee partition.Any Idea how can this goal be achieved using TF-A?Thanks
Hello, I received the STM32MP1 discovery kit and I started to use it.I installed SDK and I compiled successfully some hello world applications.Now, I would like to build some extra libraries to add, or in the future I may want to rebuild existing ones with newer versions.These packages are typically distributed with a configure script made with autotools, or with CMake build scripts, or with other less widespread tools.I would like to know what are the options to be used for correct integration with SDK and inside the OpenSTLinux distribution.For example, with autotools you may need to set options like "--bindir", "--includedir", etc, or CMake needs to receive the right information from an external file assigned to the CMAKE_TOOLCHAIN_FILE macro.After that, you usually build with "make" and "make install" and you did the job.What are the recommended options for expanding SDK?Thank you very much for your time.Sincerely.
For STPMIC1, when it is powered on by asserting the PONKEYn signal low, what would happen if the PONKEYn remains asserted low even after the initial POWER_ON trigger? Would it subsequently trigger a POWER_DOWN if PONKEYn long press turn off is activated? Or is the PONKEYn event triggered only when there is a HIGH to LOW edge transition (edge trigger) ?Thanks.Steven

Hi All,I've been running into an issue when trying to activate and run the DFSDM peripheral for the M4 Core to sample a single digital Mic:Source code and device tree generated using STMCubeIDE V1.1.10. The compiled device tree is loaded into the image running in the A7 core of the unit being used for testing.DFSDM1 Clock Configured using: System clock (208.87793 MHz) Divider 104 for DFSDM Clk -> ~2 MHz Fosr: 125 samples -> Sampling frec of ~16 kHz Channel 5 being used for regular conversions on Filter 0, set in Continuous Mode and Software TriggerThe DFSDM application code was coded based on the STM32L4 - Hands-on DFSDM Tutorial, and was successfully run on a F412ZG Nucleo using a MP34DT05 coupon board to provide the microphone.This application was then ported to an MP1.M4 project targetting the DK2 Eval board.After calling HAL_DFSDM_FilterRegularStart_DMA(), the regular half and full conversion callbacks that will be used to process the samples, HAL_DFSDM_FilterRegConvHalfCpltC
Hi, I have STM32MP157C-DK2 board and I am running Linux Yocto on it.Now I want to run my own BMP files on the board but I am not getting how to do this. Can anyone help me the procedure to run this.RegardsSrikanth.
Hello,We would like to setup the STM32MP157C-DK2 board. But we couldn't find any information related to the recommended power supply. Could you please suggest us that which Power Supply 5V/3A adapter or connector should we use? It would be great if you can provide us link to purchase the power supply adapter or connector because the power supply is not delivered.We tried to use HUAWEI superfast power supply adapter but we faced this problem: https://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X0000Bftpj3SQA/cant-able-to-populate-the-target-and-boot-the-image-on-stm32mp157cdk2Thanking you!

Hello, I try to push the linux Kernel to STM32MP157C-DK2 board. I have made the reboot of my board. After the reboot I don't know why the screen of my board turns on then I can see the logo of ST and then my screen turns off. How can I correct that. Thanks for help
Any one can tell me if there are ST products which integreted ARM A5x core? Thanks a lot!
Looking at this code:https://github.com/ARM-software/arm-trusted-firmware/tree/af1ac83e0fa4e77aad13e1e8e47b6fcafeb17dbc/drivers/st/mmcI don't understand if the methods are named after the sdmmc2 bus of the MPU (#1 for sd card, #2 for emmc) or it's just a suffix without any special meaning. In other words, they are used also to access to the sd-card?
Hi,I want to use the mp157 sdmmc3 feature, but it seems he didn't turn it on, because my wifi device doesn't work, do I need to turn on the clock elsewhere?:loudly_crying_face: :loudly_crying_face: :loudly_crying_face:
I'm able to compile a custom image from the Distribution Package for an evaluation board, adding my own layers and applications. I don't find a complete procedure to adapt it to a new target (i.e. STM32MP151A). I found a very short wiki that doesn't cover all the necessary steps.Is there a complete step-by-step procedure about this topic?

If you try to generate code for, say, STM32MP151AAA you will find inside the dts files, some includes related to another MPU (like STM32MP157C):#include "stm32mp157c.dtsi" #include "stm32mp157caa-pinctrl.dtsi" #include "stm32mp157c-security.dtsi"And no one for the desired target. Is it correct? Why?

Hi there,I am trying to get the ID of the MP1 from a given address. But when I try to do so in Linux, using the microprocessor core A7, it gives me a Segmentation fault (core dumped) error.When I run the same program on the microcontroller, core M4, it prints the ID just like this:[0]2359324[1]859328773[2]876098352How can I get that same ID when running my code on Linux?Here is my code:#include <stdio.h> #include <stdint.h> // 0x5C005234 is the address where the ID is stored #define VAL ((uint32_t *) 0x5C005234) void main(){ printf("[0] %d [1] %d [2] %d", VAL[0], VAL[1], VAL[2]); }
