Hi,I am using stm32mp157c and working initialize mtd nand flash w25n512. I am following the https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/MTD_overview . I don't have choise "Support most SPI Flash chips (AT26DF, M25P, W25X, ...)" in chapter 3.1.2 in my kernel menuconfig. Did I not open a section that I should have opened or is there a different problem?Best Regards,Ali Mesut Ince
For example, in the KEIL uVision 5 IDE, it is possible to specify the starting address in the "Options for Target" window. I would like to know how to do the same in Cube IDE

When I hit the build button, I get "Nothing to build for project DK2_TIMER1_OpenAmp_Solution", the Debug folder is also empty, should this be populated or do I need to generate it somehow?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PsiFDHH87vo&list=PLnMKNibPkDnFeV4sBarnsAtFTg7h6V-9_&index=11
I have tried the following on my DK2 dev board:Connect VBAT (verify that RTC is working as well)Set rtc alarm (30s into future or so)Power off via long press of "sleep" buttonWait for alarm to wake RTC...I have verified that the RTC is using the LSE clock, and that the RTC is working by powering system off for a bit and seeing that the RTC doesn't lose time. Thanks,Ben Beckwith
Hi everyone,I have encounter the following error when booting the stm32mp157f-dk2Starting Load/Save Screen …of backlight:5a000000.dsi.0... [FAILED] Failed to start Load/Save …s of backlight:5a000000.dsi.0. See 'systemctl status systemd-backlight…ht:5a000000.dsi.0.service' for details.the 'systemctl status systemd-backlight@5a000000' give me the following* systemd-backlight@5a000000.service - Load/Save Screen Backlight Brightness of 5a000000 Loaded: loaded (/lib/systemd/system/systemd-backlight@.service; static; vendor preset: disabled) Active: inactive (dead) Docs: man:systemd-backlight@.service(8)The screen is able to display the splash image during uboot, so I assume the hardware is OK. When calling a GUI application, it fail and report error as 'Could not initialize egl display'Any ideas?
Hi dears I wish you a good day ,I am working on my bachelor graduation prohect which is ( an overcurrent protection relay design ) and I using an STM32MP1 to have all the functions and required controlling inside it. And I want to add a communication interface ports with my device to share real time arc Fault data with other devices using local networks and I want to add at least 2 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet (RGMII) and 2 Optical Transceivers SFF 1000BASE. I want to add this ETHERNET and SFF module to my project and after a lot of research I noticed that the MPUs only can connect with only one ethernet for and I also found the ETHERNET switches, but I analyzed the marketing, and the experts says that ethernet switches are not good in real time data transferring and the best way to implement the multiple ethernet and SFF transceivers with the project is using the FPGA. And I checked some devices that using for communication, and I noticed that they used the FPGA for that I started t
I make st-example-image-qt image with openstlinux-5.10on the board, i can't run any qt exampls , when i run a qt app,i get this Could not open egl display Aborted (core dumped)do i miss something
Hi, I know that the ecosystem is already at 3.1.0 or higher, but we started our project in 2019 and working with image based on that release (1.0.0) and don't plan to upgrade.I wanted to send a link to the SDK from your website to our customers, but the link to 1.0.0 doesn't workI am using:https://www.st.com/content/st_com/en/products/embedded-software/mcu-mpu-embedded-software/stm32-embedded-software/stm32-mpu-openstlinux-distribution/stm32mp1dev.html#If I attempt to download any other SDK (1.1.0 for example) it worksOnly the 1.0.0 option is broken
/* USER CODE BEGIN PD */ #define ADC_BUF_LEN 4096 /* USER CODE END PD */ ... /* USER CODE BEGIN PV */ uint16_t adc_buf[ADC_BUF_LEN]; ... /* USER CODE BEGIN 2 */ HAL_ADC_Start_DMA(&hadc2, (uint32_t*)adc_buf, ADC_BUF_LEN);I've got the above code added to my project with the attached IOC, but when I hit a debug breakpoint after a second or so there are no values in the adc_buf.In addition, when I probe the ANA1 (Arduino Pin A3) with nothing plugged in, I get a sine wave that sits offset at ~3v and has a peak to peak voltage of about 800mV and 128MHz frequency. See pic below. It's also notable that there is no "DMA Continuous Requests" option in Parameter Settings which I understand I need to set to Enabled.
I'm building an elf file, SCPing it to the controller and using the fw_cortex_m4.sh to load it on the m4, but no matter what I set the APB2DIV scaler to the number of times per second TIM16 is called doesn't change. The only thing that does seem to affect the frequency is the prescaler on the TIM16 pin, but I've already got it set to 0 and I only get about 1.4kH.
Hi,I follow the tutorial "How to exchange data buffers with the coprocessor".Unfortunately, my board doesn't run the tutorial directly.I read the code "stm32_rpmsg_sdb.c","backend.c","main.c" and modified it slightly. Now M4 can receive the address sent by rpmsg-sdb, but when M4 writes directly to this address, it will enter"void HardFault_Handler(void)",also cannot read the correct data.I modified the code of "stm32_rpmsg_sdb.c" to test whether the applied memory can be used. After successfully applying for memory, data was written and correctly read in app, indicating that memory allocation and mapping should have been successful. Can M4 read and write the memory allocated from rpMSG-sdb directly?Or can you only use DMA to copy M4 memory into the requested memory? Thanks in advance.
Hello, I have to run a c application after the STM32MPU has booted up ( not before that). Is there a way to launch the terminal application with custom shell script running on it?How ?what is the name of the terminal application?May be I can put that in the /etc/profile.d/<some_shell_script>for normal ubuntu system it is generally xterm or gnome. What is it for OpenSTLinux?Br,D
I installed (OpenSTLinux-Distribution Package) openstlinux-eglfs/st-example-image-qt image to my stm32mp157c-dk2 board, and I successfully run my qt applications. I wonder how can I autostart my qt application after boot or during boot time? I mean I want to see my qt app open after booting process
We have encountered a problem with CRYPTO IP core on STM32MP157C.Our setup is STM32MP157C-DK2 with latest image/SDK installed(openstlinux-5.10-dunfell-mp1-21-11-17).1. First of all, our IPSec solution based on strongSwan doesn't work atall when stm32-cryp.ko is loaded: after processing several packetsIPSec connection stucks. The only message we got in kernel ringbuffer is:```[ 102.064269] NOHZ tick-stop error: Non-RCU local softirq work is pending, handler #08!!!```It stucks no matter what cipher is selected or which settings areused. However, if we don't use stm32-cryp at all (e.g. if we unloadthis module), IPSec connection works perfectly. We haven't found a simple way to reprocude this bug without deployingIPSec infrastructure (it's very simple to do it with AlgoVPN [1]), sowe can provide you an access to our test environment or give you moredetails on request.2. Moreover, we have made a performance test using cryptodev-tests([2], but this package is available in Yocto SDK too)
Hi,I create a QT project and run it on the board STM32MP157C-DK2 with command " /tmp/testqt/bin/testqt". The data display on the DSI display is mismatch my testing project's UI.LCD_picture.jpg is DSI display data.QT_UI.jpg is Qt project's UI.Please advise how to solve it.Thanks,QiZhang
I am trying to build gui using GLADE designer for STM32 MP157 DK but i have problem in loading the generated GLADE XML in user space project.
According to the wiki here: Boot from serial NOR, the pins required to boot from a serial NOR flash chip in single mode are PB6, PF8, PF9, PF10. These pins are present on the TFBGA257 package. To boot in dual mode, PH2 and PH3 are required, and these pins are *not* present on the TFBGA257 package. So from this, it seems this package supports serial NOR flash booting in single mode only. However, CubeMX does not let me enable the QUADSPI peripheral for BOOTROM. If I try, it highlights all the choices in red and gives the error message: "Pin not available for boot step (boot ROM)".So, is this a bug in CubeMX, or does this package not support single-chip NOR Flash booting? I'm re-designing a board to use this chip instead of a larger package, and we require serial NOR flash booting. So it'd be good to know before committing to the design.thanksDan
Hi,I'm using stm32mp157a-dk1 and I want to drive a pin with the A7.I add and set (as digital output) the pin PF2 (named "Test") to "Cortex-A7 non secure" in the "Pin Reserved" on the IOC file in the window "Pinout & Configuration" of STM32CubeIDE. Then I generate the code, but the dts file does not change and I cannot find a pin named "Test" in the Device Tree of the A7.How can I add the pin on the dts file, so the A7 can drive it?Moreover, where should I put the dts file to build the linux image with yocto?(For yocto I follow the Distribution Package Tutorial for STM32)Thanks in advance,Andrea
