hi, Im using my own costum board with a STM32WBA52CG on it. When I'm nog using the RF my code is working perfectly. When I activate the RF in the STM32CubeIDE, my code is stuck in PeriphCommonClock_Config();More specifically in the following code: I already checked my HSE crystal and I'm getting 32 MHz out. So what could be wrong? because without the RF I'm not able to use BLE.. Thanks in advance! Kind regards, Mats
BLE peripherals are implemented using NUCLEOWB55RG.I would like to check if Advertsing is working properly by receiving the completion of the asynchronous aci_gap_set_discoverable execution with HCI_COMMAND_COMPLETE_EVT_CODE, HCI_COMMAND_COMPLETE_EVT _CODE is not received. How should I handle this?HCI_COMMAND_COMPLETE_EVT_CODE is implemented in SVCCTL_App_Notification as follows.p_event_pckt = (hci_event_pckt*)((hci_uart_pckt*)p_Pckt)->data;switch (p_event_pckt->evt){case HCI_COMMAND_COMPLETE_EVT_CODE: /* HCI_COMMAND_COMPLETE_EVT_CODEAlso, the Wireless Coprocessor Binary Version is v1.8 and stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_full_fw is used. Please could someone please enlighten me on this.
The STM32WB5 has 1M of flash memory. The default linker script shares this 50:50 between main and second core (LENGTH = 512K), meaning flash ends at 0x0808 0000 (page 128) for the main core. But the wireless binaries don't necessarily start right at the 50% mark, but often quite a bit higher up in memory. E.g. the stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_full_fw.bin starts in current version at 0x080C E000 (page 206), meaning there are 78 unused pages in between. Is it a reasonable approach to use this memory area for other purposes like EEPROM emulation and the like? Or is there some disadvantage with that?
Please advise on Application Notes, Training, examples on Evaluation board, etc. on designing lowest power system using STM32WLE5JC. Cell life for weeks or months. I intend to use STOP2 with RTC and normal-run modes.I found App Note 5568 and 4879.Many thanks
I want to generate a constant, steady voltage as COMP INPM in STOP1 with the DAC (using HAL libs at the moment).Unfortunately I cannot get a steady signal. The voltage drifts around some seconds, stabilises and starts from the beginning (oddly seems to relate to COMP interrupt, but might be coincidence).I was wondering whether this is possible without an external capacitor? The manual mentions an internal capacitor and gives formulas to calculate the sample, hold&refresh times, but the specs of the internal cap are nowhere stated.Does this mean, sample and hold without external cap only works with disabled buffer and on-chip peripherals selected only? What would be the correct values for sample, hold&refresh in this scenario? Thanks,Robert
Using this API returns 0x3157 error code after running SIGFOX_API_close successfully (return code is 0), anyone tried that? What are we missing here?BTW - Same behavior observed when using ST provided Sigfox_AT_Slave_DualCore example out of the box with the NUCLEO-WL55 board so we can rule out any HW or SW issues , we probably miss some other API call before using the SIGFOX_API_start_continuous_transmission or some ST library bug....Thanks for your helpP.S. Opened a ticket with ST support, will post here on any further developments.
Hi, I'm using STM32WLE5CCUx MCUs with STM32Cube FW_WL_V1.3.0 firmware package. The nodes (~ 20 nodes) are working in LoRaWAN Class C mode and MAC version 1.0.4 (US915, no duty cycle restrictions)The issue I'm experiencing is that from time to time in a very random way the nodes (not all at the same time, just one of them every time) stop processing Rx commands. When this happen I send Rx commands to the nodes but I don't see any log coming from MAC layer and in consequence they don't go over the OnRxData callback function. The behaviour is the same as not sending anything to the node. This apparent freezing keeps until the next periodic uplink (Tx) is executed, after what everything start working normally again (node processes Rx).From the logs I saw that before this strange behaviour starts the node executed a Tx that was successful from the logs point of view but it never reached the Network Server, it looks like it never left the radio or in other words it never was actually se
Hello,I have started to use stm32wl55 nucleo.I try to debug a basic application.I start by debugging CPU1 (CM4) than after booting CPU2 (CM0+) i run the debug for the second CPU.But ST-LINK: Could not verify ST device!error details :Error in final launch sequence:Failed to start GDB serverFailed to start GDB serverError in initializing ST-LINK device.Reason: (18) Could not verify ST device! Found below what I assume to be the Possible Values for 'Status' , but not sure, any other? 0x5C Device not found in DB0x5E Device not bonded Can you list all of them?Or are those values in the Bluetooth Specification? If so can you provide a link? https://www.st.com/content/ccc/resource/technical/document/application_note/group1/25/56/53/7b/a0/17/47/c8/DM00571230/files/DM00571230.pdf/jcr:content/translations/en.DM00571230.pdf
Hello,I've been recently starting to get into the STM32 ecosystem using the B-U585I-IOT02A discovery board, first by toggling LEDs and GPIOs but eventually trying to get familiar with how to use the integrated STM32WB5MMG module.I was able to get a decent understanding by checking the official playlist for the STM32WB (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLnMKNibPkDnG9JRe2fbOOpVpWY7E4WbJ-) but after watching all of the videos, I was disappointed in the fact they never went into much detail on how to start developing custom applications.Since I'm using the B-U585I-IOT02A, there is only one example that I could get working. That was to download the BLE_AT_Client example onto the STM32U585AI chip, which unfortunately is not compatible with CubeMX which is annoying, and download the BLE_AT_Server_reference.hex manually onto the STM32WB5MMG using the CubeProgrammer. This results in me being able to toggle the Green LED using the ST BLE Sensor app and get notified on the app when
Good morning,I am using two NUCLEO WL55JC1 development boards and the LocalNetwork_Sensor and LocalNetwork_Concentrator example that I found in the development software provided by ST. When I use a frequency band of 868MHz and a bandwidth of 125 KHz there is no problem, but when I use a bandwidth of 250KHz or 500KHz there is a problem. The issue is that after 6 receptions from the Sensor by the Concentrator, the Concentrator not recognize the Sensor and generates LOST message. Can someone help me? Thank youIn attachment there is the evidence of the problem.
Hello all,I am currently working on the different combinations of LoRa Wan and found out that I-Cube-LRWAN software expansion(https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/i-cube-lrwan.html). For the stm32l476rg, I used the sx1262dvk1das and sx1276mb1mas and it's working fine as well connected to the gateway. Now I want to use the same software expansion I-Cube-LRWAN with the nucleo-f746 as base board and sx1262. But I am not getting any reference how to achieve it. As I don't find any "mx " in I-Cube-LRWAN projects, I am unable to do create and port to new project it's showing many errors. My queries were-1. How to port I-Cube-LRWAN software expansion from nucleo-l4 series to nucleo-f7 series?2. How to use I-Cube-LRWAN with new project?3. Why there is no cube-mx for the examples?I have been trying many examples and trying to find the solutions, but I am unable to get the solution. Thanks & Regards,Krithika. P
Several Issues causing this fail, as I can see from the console.1. First, I used to STMCubeMX to generated code while doing the pin Configuration by my own. STM32WLE5CCU6 is the target device in my case. I followed the schematics to do the pin configuration. I Enabled the USART1 and USART2 but the generated code missing the Usart_if.h file in the includes folder. Therefore causing the fatal Error.2. Several warning being issued ,11 to be exact. Due the BSP driver also not being included in the Driver folder. How to solve these issues?
In general , when does resolving list used by stack and when is the data in bonding list used during pairing?I see that entries can be added by application to the resolving list, something that can't be done to the bonding list.Is there some chart explaining what pairing does? and more specifically from where it reads its info?
I have a CubeWL-based, CubeMX-generated LoRaWAN application (868Mhz region) on Helium (LNS tells me RX1 delay is 1s).OTAA join and confirmed msg downlink reception seemed very unreliable, even with a gateway just in the other room (OTAA ± 5 tries, uplink confirmation received after ± 35 tries). Now I tried RakWireless RUI3 framework and transmission work as expected, reliable OTAA join on first try as well as reception of uplink confirmations.LNS shows me JoinAccept frames send "delay: 5s" and UnconfirmedDataDown frames send "delay: 2s" to device.I tool a closer look at the timings and was wondering:a) It looks like RX1 window is opening 2s after beginning of TX transmission. Shouldn't it be after the end of the transmission?b) Why is the RX window increased by the LNS?1715603464s576:TX on freq 868500000 Hz at DR 01715603465s732:MAC txDone1715603466s575:RX_1 on freq 868500000 Hz at DR 01715603467s101:IRQ_RX_TX_TIMEOUT1715603467s101:MAC rxTimeOut1715603467s575:RX_2 on freq 869525000
On the STM32WL55 MCUs, is it possible to have the ADC interrupt go only to the Cortex-M0+(CPU2)? I have a situation where I would like to trigger CPU2 with interrupts from the ADC, but I don't want to trigger the ADC interrupt for CPU1. Is this possible on the STM32WL55? If that's not possible, what's the next best way to simulate this desired behavior?
I am a the peripheral, and just got a connection event from the client.Would like to know if server side provides a feature to know if I already bonded with client , or bonding will be needed. Is there a command I can give e.g., the ConnectionHandle and will tell me if paired (yes no?)Thanks!
When a peripheral sends an aci_gap_slave_security_req() what event does it generate on central side?Asking it as central has the option to:Encrypt link . "the master may encrypt the link", which command does that?Pairing proc init "initiate the pairing procedure", which command does that?Reject "or reject the request". which command does that? I am following PM0257:

HI, I am developing my ble audio project with STM32WBA55G-DK1. I need use SAI interface as audio input interface. I have an annoying problem. I configure RCC before init ble stack. I choose use pll1rclk as system clock. But i call the BleStack_Init function to init ble stack which provide by ST, the register of RCC_CFGR1 changed from 0xF to 0x0, HSI16 becomes as system clock. I can't understank why the Ble stack do that。 If so that, does it mean that the maximum system clock can only be 16M when using Bluetooth function? Thanks
Hi in data sheet of different stm32WB modules, i see that max Output Power (dBm) is +6. Why is it 6 and not 8? I thought for europe the limit is 8? In case I want to sell the devices IN USA, max allowed TX power is even +20dbm. Does ST have any module with +20dBm? and one generic question: I am building a wearable measuring some medical data(EMG data). Is there any standard putting a limit on TX power? Or can I go with +6 dBm? thx
Hi nordic semi and their nrf52840 are sort of competitors og STM32WB. Nordic offers Gazell and ESB. Does ST have something similar? I have to find a wireless protocol to sync up to 8 emebedded devices.Apparently Gazell can manage that. Does ST provide any wireless prrotocoll/ hardware? Ideally I would stick to ST and not use Nordic. Thx
