Hi,In a centralized network, the coordinator is the only entity able to permit network joining. If the coordinator power cycles, and starts up from persistence, does it maintain its coordinator status? In my testing setup, when I power cycle the coordinator, it rejoins the network with the correct previous address. However, after requesting the network to permit joining (PermitJoinReq), new devices are not added to the network, when before power cycling it, they would. Does this means that it loses its status as a coordinator? My current guess is that it does and since it belongs to a centralized network, there isn't any other device with the authority to permit joining. However, the PermitJoinReq returns a success status. What do you think could be happening? I don't know what is going on, since I can't be sure of what actually happens when I call the persistent startup function from the ZSDK
Hello everyone,I am working with a STM32WB5MMDK. I want to use the USART to print a message on Tera Term but i just have inversed triangles instead of "Hello world". I checked and both Tera Term and USART1 have the same parameters (baud rate, etc). I find it weird that i have a succession of triangles, and the other subjects related don't mention that.Does anyone know how to fix this ?Thank you
Hello, I have some trouble with a STM32 MCU. I was playing with the radio firmware and delete it. From now on, I'm unable to reprogram it, I always get this kind of error ( FUS_STATE_ERR_UNKNOWM) : FUS seems to be in bad state : By comparaison with a working board, I find that a secure flash address has been configured to this MCU and it overlap the FUS/radio firmware address : Now I'm trying to revert back this value to the factory 0xF4 value but I'm unable to do so.STM32CubeProgrammer won't accept to modify bits in the security option 2. Even with the factory reset command using STM32_Programmer_CLI software it didn't work (I don't remember the exact command) I checked the datasheet and find that I needed to enter keys to unlock these bits but either using the STM32_Programmer_CLI : STM32_Programmer_CLI --connect port=SWD -w32 0x58004008 0x45670123STM32_Programmer_CLI --connect port=SWD -w32 0x58004008 0xCDEF89AB STM32_Programmer_CLI --connect port=SWD
Hello all. I am trying to integrate STM32 with Sx1262. But I am facing issues and not able to find a perfect example code. I am using https://github.com/Lora-net/sx126x_driver?tab=readme-ov-fileBut the issue is my implementation. Please someone help me integrate stm32l496zg with sx1262.Thank You
I AM USING STM32 WL55JC2 CONTROLLER(NUCLEO-WL55JC2) TO WORK AS A LORA END NODE ,I AM TRYING TO TRANSMIT ANY DATA WITH UART2,I AM WORKING IN A SEQUENCER FUNCTION ,APP_LOG(TS,VL,...) IS A FUNCTION THAT IS LINKED WITH UART2 WITH DMA TRANSMIT, WHERE I AM CALLING THIS FUNCTION THE UART2 IS WORKING GOOD , BUT WHEN I AM CALLING THE UART2 DMA TRANSMIT FUNCTION DIRECTLY , IT IS NOT WORKING , THE SEQUENECER IS RUNNING IN LPM .I DONT KNOW WHY , BUT I NEED THE SOLUTION FOR THIS ISSUE . IN THE BELOW IMAGE THE "JUST" AND "DIRECT" WERE PRINTING , BUT THE TRY IS NOT PRINTING.AND ALSO THE UART1 FUNCTION IS NOT EVEN WORKING , BUT I HAVE CONFIGURED EVERYTHING PROPERLY.I NEED SUPPORT, PLEASE GUIDE ME .
Does not appear to be an appropriate label for my question. I can't find schematic for this board so I can map pins. I read that this info is in user guide, but don't see it listed in user guide for the board here: https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/nucleo-wb55rg.html#documentation What am I missing? The development board will be hard to use without board documentation. -John
Hello,I wish to know if it possible to have references of all the boards and devices around STM32WB on this link because I wish to buy it please and the application to do work it ?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eqAFVi16l5EThanks a lotRegards
When Debugging the code in STM32 Cube IDE, the program execution flow directly goes into the HardFault Handler. The Debugging starts at HardFault Handler and I don't know why? Also this happened when I am trying to interface Sx1262 LoRa Module with STM32L496ZGTP. If anyone have come across similar issues please help me in this concern.Thank You
Hi,i am currently trying to read out VBAT of a STM32WB55CGU6 Board (Custom).VBAT is connected to a 3V Battery, and all other VDD pins are connected to the same battery since the board is only powered by this battery.I have setup ADC1 and enabled the VBatChannel (at least in CubeMX).My Question is how to read out the ADC Value of VBAT?So far i have tried the following: static void MX_ADC1_Init(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN ADC1_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE END ADC1_Init 0 */ ADC_ChannelConfTypeDef sConfig = {0}; /* USER CODE BEGIN ADC1_Init 1 */ /* USER CODE END ADC1_Init 1 */ /** Common config */ hadc1.Instance = ADC1; hadc1.Init.ClockPrescaler = ADC_CLOCK_ASYNC_DIV1; hadc1.Init.Resolution = ADC_RESOLUTION_12B; hadc1.Init.DataAlign = ADC_DATAALIGN_RIGHT; hadc1.Init.ScanConvMode = ADC_SCAN_DISABLE; hadc1.Init.EOCSelection = ADC_EOC_SINGLE_CONV; hadc1.Init.LowPowerAutoWait = DISABLE; hadc1.Init.ContinuousConvMode = DISABLE; hadc1.Init.NbrOfConversion = 1; hadc1.Init.Di
Regarding the standby mode of the STM32WB5MMG, I have enabled only the RTC wake-up as trigger to wake up every second. However, occasionally it freezes in standby mode, and after a watchdog reset, it doesn't even perform initialization processes. Finally, it does not work until I manually turn the power off and on again.Do you know any workaround for this freezing issue?
When combining the standby and OTA samples (listed below), in some cases, the OTA sample is started at the timing of standby wakeup.・PWR_STANDBY_RTC・BLE_OtaIn my understand, whether the standby or OTA sample is started is determined by the first 4 bytes of SRAM1's address. Is there a case where SRAM1 becomes an undefined value in the standby, resulting in the OTA being started?
HI, I am using STM32WBA55G-DK1 board to develop ble audio device. When i call CAP_EnableAudioCodecController, it return 0x91. I have reviewed the assembly code of the project and found that CAP_EnableAudioCodecController will call hci_read_local_supported_codecs_v2 to get the codecs array. So i call hci_read_local_supported_codecs_v2 on my app code to test this api. Spoiler (Highlight to read)uint8_t num_supported_stand_codes = 0;uint8_t standard_Codec[255] = {0};uint8_t num_supported_vendor_specific_codes = 0;uint8_t vendor_specific_codes[255] = {0};status = hci_read_local_supported_codecs_v2( &num_supported_stand_codes,standard_Codec,&num_supported_vendor_specific_codes,hci_read_local_supported_codecs_v2);LOG_INFO_APP("hci_read_local_supported_codecs_v2() return status: 0x%02X\n", status);for (loop = 0; loop < num_supported_stand_codes; loop++) {LOG_INFO_APP(" %02x", standard_Codec[loop]);if (loop % 16 == 15) {LOG_INFO_APP
For our validation:I would like to verify my computation for the capacity of the bonding list size. I did have some characteristics created so it's not the default , but its a number close to that. ( Sources in the bottom) It would be disastrous if entire bonding list is cleared. (when full, and I need to prevent it )Also , I do not have the amount of devices to verify that! Please support. Pro bono publico, I also I believe you have a typo in AN5270: Here are my sources: How many keys stack can hold:https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-wireless/how-many-pairing-device-information-can-the-stm32wb-has-at-most/td-p/123506https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-wireless/storing-ble-bonding-information-keys-on-external-flash/td-p/120158How to read the actual key from stack:https://community.st.com/t5/interface-and-connectivity-ics/where-and-how-to-store-application-security-keys-on-the-bluenrg/m-p/210330What happens when stack bonding list gets full:AN5270 :
Hi everyone,I am working on the project that need to capture sound for sometime and send it to pc through BLE. I am a bit new to STM32WB,1- I have some questions regarding, how we can use on of the examples of STM32WB and turn it to this requirement.2- do we need fragmentation here? if yes what you guys suggest.Thank you.
HelloThe Nucleo/Dongle pair did not do the demo.So downloaded and updated them with P2Pserver and Client hex files.Still didn't work.Am now trying to upgrade the FUS in the dongle from .53 to current using stm32wb5x_FUS_fw_for_fus_0_5_3.bin, using 0x080EC000 as listed in Release notes, and it fails.10:39:11 : Erasing memory corresponding to segment 0:10:39:11 : Operation exceeds memory limits10:39:11 : failed to erase memoryDongle has the STM32WB55CGU6 MCU.Looks like the start address is wrong, but what should it be and where do I find this info.ThanksGiri
I am developing an application based on a STM32WB35CE and have noticed that the code generated by STM32CubeMX limits available Flash to 256k and available SRAM to 32k (the WB35CE has 512k and 96k, respectively). I have flashed the stm32wb3x_BLE_Stack_full_fw.bin copro binary, so not having all memory available is expected.according to AN5451 I should have 363k of Flash and 57k of SRAM (across the 3 SRAM banks) available for my application. How can I use these?
Hi Sir. Madam,For MB1791 Development Broad, there are 3 Type of design:MB1791-HighBand_HighPowerMB1791-HighBand_LowPowerMB1791-LowBand_HighPowerBut I doubt the BOM given, the part Description, Value and Manufacture Part Number are not tally for the Location: C8, C9, C26, C31:.Pls advise the correct value for MB1791-HighBand_HighPower.Thanks.
Hello everyone,I am working on a STM32WB5MMDK. I already posted a question about the BSP example.I have few other questions about it.I wanted to replace the Button 1 by the Button 2 so I changed it in the main file (even the CallBack). I checked the other files and the configuration was the same for the two buttons, so i didn't think i should change anything, but it doesn't work. Moreover, I also wanted to test the Humidity and Pressure Sensors (I think it is included with the Temperature Sensor since it is written as a comment), but I can't make them work (i used the same program as the one for the temperature test and just change the parameters). So, I wanted to know if someone knew how to fix those issues but mostly if there were ressources to help understand the configuration (i prefer not to use a .ioc) because i don't really find the answers to my questions online. Thank you,Nour
Hi,Many of the MuRata CMWX1ZZABZ variant support "Opne MCU" such as the -078 variant; meaning the STM32 chip is programmable. Appearently some do not have the "Open MCU" feature even though they use an STM32. Was hoping someone could clear why this is the case or at least provide which variant allow programming via ST CUBE MX etc.-Thanks
I'm new to the ST development Environment and it is my first time to be using embedded systems. My aim is to make a project of one master that communicate with multiple slaves. I have already tried the ping pong example with 2 B-L072Z-LRWAN1 boards and it works fine. my problem is that i want to assign one board to be a transmitter only and the other boards receive only. can anyone help regarding this case keeping in mind that I am new to this field.
Hi, I am new to I2S protocol, this is the first time I am working on this, I’m sorry if my question sounds trivial. I am trying to interface the RAK3172 module (STM32WLE5CC is inside) with the NAU88L25YGB audio codec from Nuvoton, the audio codec has ADCOUT and DACIN that as per the given reference design should connect to I2S_DI and I2S_DO of a MCU respectively. STM32WLE5CC/RAK3172 only has I2S2_SD pins, no separate DI and DO pins. Following is the wiring between RAK3172(STM32WLE5CC) and NAU88L25YGB. RAK3172(STM32WLE5CC) NAU88L25YGB PA3 CODEC_I2S2_MCK/MCLK PA8 CODEC_I2S2_CK/BCLK PA9 CODEC_I2S2_WS/LRCK PA10 CODEC_I2S2_SD/DI/DO (??) How can I tackle missing I2S's DI and DO pins of STM32WLE5CC? Thanks in advance for any help. -Anesh
Initially Iam flash 2 binary files to STM32WB5MMG (stm32wb5x_FUS_fw.bin & stm32wb5x_BLW_Stack_full_fw.bin ) in that case p2p Server works with ST BLE Toolbox in mobile but in my project p2p Client as another MCU.p2p Client not working well its cannot detect p2p Server and not showed in ST BLE Toolbox.I have doubt regarding p2pclient has any binary file need to flash? In my code while debug Scan_Request and Connect_Request function calls are not entered.Kindly help to guide how to work with p2p Server and p2p Client.
Hello ST Community,I am currently working with a STM32WL 55JC and I need assistance with setting the sync word for both the transmitter and receiver. Here are the details of my setup. Here I have configured my module to USE_MODEM_LORA and these are the packet params of the USE_MODEM_LORAThis below is the set sync word function whish is present in the radiodriver.c file here is the another function which is I want to use the private syncword how do i do that when i use USE_MODEM_LORA.
Hello ST experts and everyone, I am a beginner on using the STM32WLE5CC series and need some support. Currently, I have assigned to carry out verification test of STM32WLE5CC series on LORA Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) and successfully set up a test system on detecting the LORA RSSI value through firmware. However, with the requirement of resource to support my test system, LORA Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) accuracy (+/- ? dBm) (on receiver side) is important to verify my test system on detecting the LORA RSSI value through firmware. Therefore, I would like to ask any information or other references on it. Would apologise that I could not provide the full design of my test system due to policy and greatly appreciate to have any support or opinion on my inquiry. Thanks. Best Regards, Jack
I'm working with the WB55 Nucleo Transparent Mode projectIs there a simple way of changing the interface in an MXCUBE project from USART1 to LPUART1?
