I would like for my services and characteristics to have a user readable string name.(when someone discovers them)How do I set that name in the descriptor of the attribute? Is there a convention on how the descriptor need to be set so devices will show that name?In your data sheet, it seems like only characteristics' descriptors can be set, is it the same command for a service? If you have an example that sets some string names to attributes would be great to have as well. Thanks
Hello,I am currently working with the STM32WB55CGU6TR MCU and using an RTOS. I've created two threads:PWM Thread: This thread generates PWM signals using the GPIO toggle method at frequencies of 60Hz and 600Hz.Read FIFO Thread: This thread reads data from the IMU FIFO. The IMU triggers an interrupt when data is ready, and the MCU waits for this interrupt via the EXTI_CALLBACK function to read the data.Issue:The PWM thread is producing signals at 50Hz and 500Hz instead of the intended 60Hz and 600Hz. Additionally, the duty cycle is not constant. Here are the steps I have tried:Case 1: Both threads have the same priority, resulting in the PWM thread giving 50Hz and 500Hz.Case 2: Increasing the PWM thread priority by 1 causes the Read FIFO thread to stop working entirely.I would appreciate any insights or suggestions on how to resolve these issues.Thank you! /* USER CODE BEGIN Header_Startpwm_imuTask */ /** * @brief Function implementing the pwm_imuTask thread. * @PAram
This is regarding these two posts: https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-wireless/ble-how-can-i-know-upon-getting-connection-event-if-device-was/m-p/681086#M19378 Answered by @Alan PORTE https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-wireless/different-event-upon-connection/m-p/223224 ( not answered) Big confusion here regarding the term 'random' used in all documentation.Upon connection , it gives either random(?) or public. Not clear here, Is it random-static? or random-private? A client connecting to me, that is : private resolvable, and uses public address : will get me a type (1) random(?) ., on connection.Later, on bonding , the type will change to 0 ( public), for the resolved address. The issue with types comes to mind when using the _BOND_ commands that require a type. When supplying the command with a resolved address, I have no way to know what type it has. It seems from this small example , that the random during connection is rando
Hi, I am using STM32WB55RG board. When I started working on the board, I did not upgrade the FUS and the wireless BLE stack. I just simply flashed my firmware hex file through cube programmer and it was working as expected(basic ble write and notify characteristics using ST BLE Toolbox app). Later I checked the FUS and the stack version through the cube programmer. It was showing like this:FUS Version: v5.3Stack Version: v16.12.0.27Then I upgraded the FUS and stack versions. I used stm32wb5x_FUS_fw_for_fus_0_5_3.bin for FUS and stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_full_fw.bin(v1.20.0) for wirless BLE.Start address for stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_full_fw.bin : 0x080CE000Start address for stm32wb5x_FUS_fw_for_fus_0_5_3.bin : 0x080EC000Now the versions of the stack and FUS when read through the STM32Cube programmer are:FUS Version: v1.2.0.0Stack version: v1.20.0.2Then I clicked on the Start wireless BLE Stack. Now I have performed chip erase and loaded my firmware hex file. At that time it not behaving as expecte
I'm working on generating two different trigger signals: one at 60Hz and another at 600Hz, using three PWM signals on three GPIO or timer channels. I attempted to use slave trigger mode for synchronization, but I'm encountering a phase shift in the PWM signals after two or three pulses. Can you please guide me on the best possible way to achieve this task?
I have a problem with code that uses the STM32WB5MMG.Everything was working on the device, the BLE was appearing perfectly, and I programmed everything that needed to be executed.I set up a GATT server with its services and characteristics, everything was working. And then the problem arose: When I assembled a new PCB, the BLE didn't start. I installed the Wireless Stack (stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_full_fw.bin and stm32wb5x_FUS_fw.bin), and nothing worked. I took the PCB that was working and read the data recorded on it to check if there was any version problem, and to my surprise, everything stopped working after this reading. The BLE no longer runs on the board that was working.Maybe there is some initialization missing in the code that I can't identify. I tried the APP_BLE_Init() function, but it causes the application to get stuck in a loop.Does anyone know what might be happening and what I might be forgetting to trigger to get the wireless stack running again?
hello every oneI'm still struggling with BLE and LPMwith your help I have a working stop2 project that goes correctly into stop modeas I'm very low on current budget I'm planning to stop every thing for few sec and come back from stop mode by RTC do my stuff send few advertising packets and go back to stopstop2 mode in datasheet is announced for around 2µA currentif I'm going into stop2 mode directly at startup in main without starting clock and peripheral /* Reset of all peripherals, Initializes the Flash interface and the Systick. */ HAL_Init(); /* Config code for STM32_WPAN (HSE Tuning must be done before system clock configuration) */ MX_APPE_Config(); /* Configure the system clock */ SystemClock_Config(); /* Configure the peripherals common clocks */ PeriphCommonClock_Config(); /* IPCC initialisation */ // MX_IPCC_Init(); /* Initialize all configured peripherals */ MX_GPIO_Init(); // MX_DMA_Init(); // MX_RTC_Init(); // MX_I2C1_Init(); MX_SPI1_Init(); // M
Hi all, I'm trying to use TIM1 with CH1 and CH2 to output PWM signal on PA9 and PA8 with RAK3172-SIP. Hello, I am trying to use the STM32WL5MOC with mbed, has anyone been able to do this yet? I'm particularly interested in the internal RF switch configuration and how what IO it is connected to internally
What is the default public network mode in LoRa ping pong example? There is a function of RadioSetPublicNetwork which can be configured, but if we do not configure it at all, what will be the default mode? Public or Private? Also, how can I set my own private syncword? I thought it doing like this, but compiler is generating implicit declaration error in SUBGRF_WriteRegister() function Thank you
- I made one firmware for P-NUCLEO-WB55 board in which I was using BLE Wireless Stack full, which was directly obtained using CubeMx settings and the bluetooth communication was working well as expected.-Later I checked the FUS and stack version using STM32CubeProgrammer.FUS Version: v5.3Stack Version: v16.12.0.27- Then from the STM32Cube programmer, I upgraded the FUS(stm32wb5x_FUS_fw_for_fus_0_5_3.bin) and the BLE Stack(stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_full_fw.bin). The current versions are:FUS Version: v1.2.0.0Stack version: v1.20.0.2- After this upgrade, the device is not working as expected. Any ideas regarding the issue?
Hello ST Community, I am working on a circuit using the STM32WB55CEU6 micro controller and bluetooth to transmit information from one of the ADC Pins. I followed some references that have the circuit powered by a USB C connection, however in my situation it will be powered by an external battery (imagining that it is 3.3V - I could add a voltage regulator later on). As I am not at all familiar with microcontrollers and this whole process in general, I was wondering if I could have someone check my circuit shown below. I have boxed out in the top left corner where the pads will be to solder in wires connecting to an external battery. I connected the battery's positive terminal (labeled the wire VBAT) to the VBAT pin, additionally, I've connected an outgoing +3.3V to the decoupling capacitors and the pocket programmer sections. So the ERC (electrical rules check) in KiCad V7 is giving me the warning “Both VBAT and +3.3V are attached to the same items”. I am wondering
We are developing matter devices with STM32WB5MM-DK.I am trying OTA with the following reference.https://wiki.st.com/stm32mcu/wiki/Connectivity:Matter_develop_and_prototype#How_to_customize_your_applicationSo I have a question.1. How can I generate .sfb file from my own project (e.g. XXX-App)?2. Please tell me how to generate a User Key.
I am trying to get BLE_LDD_DataRate demo to work, it just sits there with nothing different from pressing SW1 on 1 board and SW2 on second. Don't have a 3rd board at the moment. The description seems to indicate LED's will toggle, but nothing.I know that "nothing" is not much information to work with, but any ideas out there? Has anyone ran this demo?
Hi,I have been trying to add opus codec in my project. But I cannot able to build after adding the opus file. If anyone successfully added opus with their project help me out. I mostly get errors on 'Neon' which is used for FFT. As I searched neon is for cortex A, but the STM32WB5MMGHTR is cortex M based. I'm also adding my config file code for opus here #ifndef CONFIG_H #define CONFIG_H /* Variable leng arays */ #define VAR_ARRAYS /* Comment out the next line for floating-point code */ #define FIXED_POINT 1 #define OPUS_BUILD 1 #endif /* CONFIG_H */ Help me to add opus library with my project.
helloCan I use the stm32WL55 + STM32H763 as a gateway? If possible, any example?tksMarco Antonio
Hi everyone, I want to use 50 sensor device and 1 base station. I look stm32wl topics and I can't find the way. I watch hands on tutorial MOOC - STM32WL workshop - 4 Point to point Phy layer application lab. He really well explained for beginners (I am). I want to send these sensor nodes to the internet so my base station needs internet connection too. What is the proper way to do it. Is there any other examples ?
Hello My Project is based on STM32WBA55G-DK1 to develop my ble headphone. But when i called CAP_Init API, it returned BLE_STATUS_OUT_OF_MEMORY. I don't know which parameter is causing this issue. Following Parameters are my ble config. #define CFG_BLE_NUM_LINK (1)#define CFG_BLE_NUM_GATT_SERVICES (2)#define CFG_BLE_NUM_GATT_ATTRIBUTES (11)#define CFG_BLE_ATT_MTU_MAX (251) Thanks
Hello; My Name is FATIHI am using Wireless MBUS water meter scanning using S2LP and STM32L073. While making the PCB design, we applied the reference design value in the x-nucleo-s2868a2_schematic.pdf file exactly. However, although we see VDD voltage on Pin 1 on S2LP, SMPS voltage does not occur on Pin 2.1. The SDN pin is grounded2. We observed the 50 MHz oscillator output from the oscillator.3. Main voltage supplies are okbut we still cannot get analogue voltage output on pin 2 (SMPS1 Analog Output). therefore S2LP is not working. But our circuit works if we make an external supply of 1.5VDC from pin 3. Data sending and receiving operations WMBUS telegrams are transmitted successfully. Also; When we connected the x-nucleo-s2868a2 board with External SPI Cables through our microprocessor of our PCB, we observed that we saw the smps1 voltage on the board and observed that it worked smoothly. What could be the reason for the SMPS 1 Voltage not workingI would be grateful if you could help meS
Hi is the stack stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_full_fw.bin and the one which we generating through cubemx(BLE Wireless stack Full) are same?
HiI am using USB DONGLE board (MB1293C) as client and Nucleo board (MB1355D) as server. The BLE_p2pClient application is downloaded in a USB DONGLE board and the BLE P2P_Server application is downloaded in a Nucleo board. My problem is that most of the time when I try to connect these two devices, the connection does not complete successfully. The code in the BLE Dongle always goes in the "ACI_GATT_PROC_COMPLETE_VSEVT_CODE:" case than in the "APP_BLE_DISCOVER_WRITE_DESC:" case in the Update_Service() function. But it does not finish. Why is it happening? Thanks in advance for your help.
Hello, I am trying to read battery voltage within a task called by sequencer on STM32WB55CEU.I am following this post: https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus/how-to-use-the-stm32-adc-s-internal-reference-voltage/ta-p/621425I verified that I can measure both VREFint and Channel 10 separately in Single Mode, however combining 2 measurements in Scan mode does not work. I am not sure whats causing this, considering I am doing everything as recommended in the provided post. It may not be related to BLE. I must be missing something obvious.In the following code, the call to /* * Rank 2: measurement channel */ stat = HAL_ADC_PollForConversion(&hadc1, 0xffff); uint32_t measurement_raw = HAL_ADC_GetValue(&hadc1); takes about 10 seconds and measurement_raw becomes same value as vrefint_raw. The Vrefint conversion seems ok.This is the whole code: void ADC_BattMonitor_Init(void) { HAL_ADCEx_Calibration_Start(&hadc1, ADC_SINGLE_ENDED); __NOP(); }
Hi, I am new to BLE, can you please share how you were able to send serial data from WB55 to BLE app on phone?Thank You
Hello, I am using B-L072Z-LRWAN1 in a project. I have one board acting as a transmitter and 3 boards acting as receivers. My question is: Is it possible to transmit and receive with a rate of 5kHz with is every 0.2ms a 30 byte payload using LoRa?
