Hi,The ST bluetooth SIG wiki for STM32WBx (link here) seems to be out of date since the TCRL required has been updated to TCRL 2024-1. The wiki shows that the test report generated by the online tool, simply required referencing the applicable QDIDs. Well with the new TCRL 2024-1, this is supposedly not required anymore as there's no option in the test report to refence the ST qualified QDIDs ? I suspect this couldbe due to the whole tesdt report being incorrectly generated as the online tool from Bluetooth SIG states that hte ST QDIDs does not specify a LE core-host or core configuration ? This leaves one then to specify it manually in the online tool ? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Hello!I am facing a problem when trying to erase a page from flash. It is working when the stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_full_fw wireless stack is present. But since BLE is not used anymore, it has been removed, so now there is no wireless stack present. The problem occurs when trying to notify the CPU2 that some flash erase activity may be executed using this line (flash_driver.c file, FD_EraseSectors() function) SHCI_C2_FLASH_EraseActivity(ERASE_ACTIVITY_ON); After that it goes into HardFault_Handler. To be exact, this happens when the shci_send() function is called from shci.c file, and form there, whenever this line is executed from the shci_tl.c file pCmdBuffer->cmdserial.cmd.plen = len_cmd_payload it goes into the HardFault_Handler.I have tried to use the FLASH_EraseProgram example from P-NUCLEO-WB55.Nucleo examples, but this does not help. As I understand that when there is no wireless stack present, and when trying to do something with the flash, there will be an i
Hello,We are starting on a new project for a Bluetooth Low Energy based industrial control system and are considering using BLUENRG-355 from the BLUENRG-LP family. Apparently it is now being called STM32WB0.The question is regarding the software development IDE for this chip. We use a lot of C++ in our coding so we would like to stick to tools like Keil which have a proven track record when it comes to C++ for microcontrollers. We saw that Keil MDK offers a free license for this chip and this is our first preference. But we are not sure about the validity of the license.Could someone confirm if this license is available free only for 1 year or is it a perpetually free license? Thanks in advance!Mayuresh
Dear Support Team, I am currently working on a project involving Zigbee communication, where I have multiple devices configured as Sleepy End Devices (SEDs). Specifically, I have ten SEDs connected to a single Zigbee Coordinator (ZC). I have encountered a challenge in identifying the source of the measurements received by the ZC. Each SED is transmitting its data, but I am unable to distinguish which measurement corresponds to which device. Could you please provide guidance on how to implement a system or method to uniquely identify the measurements from each SED? Any advice on best practices or example code snippets would be greatly appreciated. I am working with the Nucleo Board WB55RG and i have checked several examples included in the stack, for exampleDevTemp_Server_coord,DevTemp_Client_Router, OnOff_server_Coord, OnOff_Client_SED, etc. @Ouadi Please could you help me?
Hello, I am trying to achieve high throughput on a custom board. I partially replicated BLE_Throughput example for an initial testing.I am receiving the BLE data in MATLAB. In CubeMX, I use a custom ble template. I am trying send a payload 1000x times, in MATLAB i receive > 3000x randomly. (I mean > (3000 x 244) Bytes of course, not 3000 Bytes).This is the main task for notification. Why I am receiving > 3000 Bytes while the transfer is limited by transfer_count? volatile uint8_t transfer_flow = 0; uint8_t transfer_count = 0; void SendActivityData_Task_Update(void) { uint8_t activity_buffer[244] = {0}; tBleStatus status = BLE_STATUS_INVALID_PARAMS; memset(activity_buffer, 0x11, sizeof(activity_buffer)); if (transfer_flow == 1 && transfer_count < 1000) { status = Custom_STM_App_Update_Char(CUSTOM_STM_ACTIVITYDATA_CHARINDICATE, (uint8_t *)activity_buffer); if (status == BLE_STATUS_INSUFFICIENT_RESOURCES) { transfer_flow = 0;
Hi all, some time ago I successfully developed a firmware for a ZigBee sleepy end device running on a STM32WB5MMG module. I could manage the module to draw only about 3µA in low power mode while still being able to communicate a button press over the ZigBee network. Now we started production of this device, but the newly assembly parts draw about 160µA instead of the expected 3µA. Even when running exactly the same firmware. The prototypes (3µA) and the production boards (160µA) are almost identical, just a different form factor of the PCB. But same parts on it.The only difference I could find was the revision of the STM32WB5M module. The prototypes used parts with marking "Y" (device ID 0x494 0x2001) and the production parts use parts with marking "X" (device ID 0x494 0x2003).My assumption is that the prototypes did works with low power by chance only. I assume I missed something when entering STOP2 mode?My firmware is based on the "Sleepy End Device" example from Wireless SDK version 1.
Are there any plans to add Zephyr support for the STM32WB0X line of chips? Or is it already supported with the current HAL? I couldn't find any Zephyr related information on the product page.
Hi,we are working on NOD_WL55JC for LoRaWAN network with FUOTA.we are facing problem when at the following condition1) development kit used NOD_WL55JC, firmware ( en.stm32cubewl-v1-3-0.zip) - en.stm32cubewl-v1-3-0\STM32Cube_FW_WL_V1.3.0\Projects\NUCLEO-WL55JC\Applications\LoRaWAN_FUOTA 2) device is connected to LoRaWAN 1.0.4 (OTAA) to AWS server.3) connection is successful.4) multicast setup is successful5) multicast class C is successful6) switching to class C is successful.7) fragments are received at the end device( payloads at different locations in the function ProcessRadioRxDone are debugged) while fragments are downloaded, they are not getting forwarded to the case FRAGMENTATION_DATA_FRAGMENT in LmhpFragmentationOnMcpsIndication function.can you please suggest the reason for the same or can you please share the latest firmware which is working for FUOTA example.we have attached the device log for your quick reference.thank y
Could you shed some light on what the button "start wireless stack" actually does?1) Is there some flag in flash that has to be set after flashing the wireless stack? Or is it just an option byte or something?2) Why is this seperate button necessary? It would be easier and less likely to result in long debugging sessions if flashing the stack would automatically start it as well.3) Can this process be automated via the CubeProgrammer to have a single to click to install and start wireless stack?
Hi Community,I’m trying to use the CubeMonitor-RF sniffing tool to monitor packets between my two NUCLEO-WB55 boards. I have followed all the instructions indicated by UM2288 and the ST Wiki. However, I am confused about the firmware upgrade for the M4 core using the Mac_802_15_4_Sniffer.bin file. I couldn’t find any file named Mac_802_15_4_Sniffer.bin in the en.stm32cubewb-v1-20-0 folder.Could anyone guide me on where to find this file or provide any additional steps I might have missed?Thank you!
I am using the B-L072Z-LRWAN1 and trying to optimize for low power consumption. So far I have set up the hardware by desolding SB37, SB18, R26, and D2. Now when moving JP9 from pos. 2-3 to pos. 1-2 (i.e. TCXO powered from PA12 instead of VDD_RF_LRA), I notice that the power draw changes from ~1 mA to ~3 mA. I tried disabling PA12 in CubeMX but that did not do anything.I found this solution, but i am not using any software packs other than a simple header file for the sx1276, so i can not find this mlm32l0xx_hw_conf.h file it is referring to. How else can I completely disable TCXO in the software without adding any software packs?
Hi,I'm a novice in STM32WB and BLE mesh. I have started using the "BLE_MeshLightingPRFNode" example test with the "ST BLE MESH" APP. I want to use the "vendor model" to transfer the segmented and unsegmented packets in BLE mesh network by a host node that can be a proxy node or gateway node.Although I successfully used the "ST BLE MESH" APP to communicate with the node(STM32WB5MM-DK) running "BLE_MeshLightingPRFNode" by the "vendor model". But I need to know how to use the provisioning & proxy service to communicate with mesh and its interaction. There are the questions below. In GATT "provisioning" & "proxy" services have "data in" & "data out" characteristics. I want to transmit the different data to test, trace, and check the interaction in the code. Are there guidelines about data packet format for these services and characteristics? How to transmit/receive the segmented and unsegmented data? Does BLE stack handle it? And we only need to decide the data length want to send
I want to add a new timmer application in the "BLE_MeshLightingPRFNode", so I need to know which timmer is available.Because the RTOS needs a reference timer, but I don't see the RTOS initialize and activate sequence in this sample code. Is RTOS not used in this example? And how is the "Clock configuration" in "BLE_MeshLightingPRFNode" example? Does have the cubeMX-like clock configuration diagram?
Hello I want to use PER test using Nucleo-WB55RG So, I followed the procedure in git-hub, but TX does not work. I don't know what the problem is, please help me
Hi, I have a question.I am developing a BLE HIID device using the STM32WB55 evaluation board.I am not sure how to identify multiple devices with the same firmware loaded. The problem I am currently encountering is as follows ↓↓↓.Prepare two CFG_STATIC_RANDOM_ADDRESS and switch between them on each evaluation board. Two devices appear on the advice screen (windows pairing screen)If one is connected, the other cannot be connected.I would appreciate it if you could tell me the cause of this phenomenon described above! Thank you in advance.
I am using STM32WB55 with 32 MHz HSE and am trying to find out which input clock frequency I should use for TIM16. Unfortunately it is not clear in the diagram from the datasheet. Where can I get this information? Greetings,Andreas
I have two STM32WB5MM- DK . Using an example for a diffrent board I have configured one of them as router and other as server. I dont know if they are getting connected. I need to connect these exclusively and then connect the router to Mobile phone. The major issue that I am facing is that I dont have an idea of which file should I check or update to get desired configuration.@STTwo-32
Hi, Does STM32WBA55 MCU support Bluetooth classic BR/EDR along with BLE Audio? @STTwo-32 @TDK @KDJEM.1 @IssamosThank you!
Hi I recently purchased DK board and connected to the phone to check the dumped code. But, I couldn't listen to any music nor call. I realised only few selected mobiles with BLE Audio can be used to test the board.Any solution to this? @STTwo-32 @KDJEM.1 Thanks in advance!
Hello there. I've been developing a project with STM32WLE5CCU with LoraWAN included. I've used ST's utilities like LMhandler, UTILITIES_timer, and SEQUENCER to handle tasks and different functions.I've encountered a strange behavior though. When I change the optimization level to O3 there are times where code asserts to an error and the error handler is called to reset the device.I've done some search regarding the state of the registers in the MCU and I've found out that BFSR.IMPRECISERR register was set. .... Iam using STM32WBA55 and i tried to configure STM32_WPAN BLE application but the generated code has a file not found error.ask me for any further details regarding this problem because i don't know what to put in my post that might help in this problem.
Hello,I want to write my own ID in the STM32WL55 memory. For this I use STM32Cubeprogram and the ST-LINK V3.My question is: is there a small flash area where I can write this identifier and which does not interfere with the code and data so as not to be deleted.I looked at the memory organization in the documentation but it's a bit confusing.Thanks.
Hi,I just have to voice my opinion on STM32's BLE STM32WB15 solution I have got, out of the box (Nucleo-WB15CC) I have spent many hours now just trying to get a simple example started just advertising to a mobile but I still can't get it too detect. Apparently reading around I have to flash "Binary" files straight to the MCU before I can get an app to work, this I just think is too much for a user (Adding that I can't seem to install STM32CubeProg). Compared to an ESP32 on espressif framework where you can get BLE up and running in a matter of minutes. I am now stuck at a stage where I have to rely on the ESP32 framework to provide a solution for my company as the STM32 equivalent is far to complexed. Add to that if this was an industrial type solution we would have to flash each MCU twice just to get them up and running! Does anyone else feel this way?
Hi, I am wondering if you can get STM32 MCU with integrated Bluetooth Classic as the only examples I have found (Like WB55) are all bluetooth low energy?
HI,I'm currently looking at the STM32WL5MOCH6STR module but I need USBC for data transfer. Any suggestion for an USBC interface chip? Thanks,
