Hi,I am looking for an STM based MCU/kit with high accuracy crystal oscillator with possible option to fine tune the frequency. I want to use it for some high accuracy time reference. Looking for suggestion please.- ijaz
Hi,I found a possible bug in the "stm32wbxx_hal_msp.c" file when using Cube in the STM32CubeIDE to enable the SAI peripheral.I did not test all the combinations, but have mine set up as follows:SAI A - Async SlaveSAI B - Sync Slave The bug is that the the code does not include and set the "Alternate" member of the GPOI_InitStruct for SAI Block A and BThe generated code is:/**SAI1_A_Block_A GPIO Configuration PA8 ------> SAI1_SCK_A PA9 ------> SAI1_FS_A PA10 ------> SAI1_SD_A */ GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = GPIO_PIN_8|GPIO_PIN_9|GPIO_PIN_10; GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = GPIO_MODE_AF_PP; GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = GPIO_PULLUP; GPIO_InitStruct.Speed = GPIO_SPEED_FREQ_MEDIUM; HAL_GPIO_Init(GPIOA, &GPIO_InitStruct);and/**SAI1_B_Block_B GPIO Configuration PA5 ------> SAI1_SD_B */ GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = GPIO_PIN_5; GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = GPIO_MODE_AF_PP; GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = GPIO_PULLUP; GPIO_InitStruct.Speed = GPIO_SPEED_FREQ_MEDIUM; HAL_GPIO_Init(GPIOA, &GPIO_InitStruct);But it sho
I am using BLE OTA bootloader found in CubeWb1.8.0 to upload a firmware to a custom STM32WB55CG device. I am using ST BLE sensor app to upload the firmware from an android phone to the custom device. I was able to successfully carry out FOTA and restart the uploaded firmware after OTA for some android phones. For some other phones, I was able to upload the firmware and get the Uploaded notification in the ST app but, the device does not restart to run the uploaded firmware in several android phones. What does that mean? Does that mean any issue with indicate characteristic enabling from those android phones?
After flashing the firmware and connecting to the uart pins, I can get some lora settings when resetting the MCU but when i try to send at-commands i get no response. Any help appreciated
Hello,I wanted to know is there any product in the market where STM32 MCUs are used in Implantable Devices. Are there any Medical Norms for STM Controllers? Can we Use STM32WB as a Implantable with BLE?Thanks in Advance.
After downloading I-CUBE-LRWAN and running the B-L072Z-LRWAN1 example i get the that LmhpCompliance.h doesn't exist but looking into the files i do see that it does exist. Any help appreciated.
What was known as "The Things Network" (TTN) is now "legacy" and not accepting any new devices, gateways, or applications. Thus, I think, all ST materials referencing "The Things Network" are now obsolete & unusable. So, has anyone managed to migrate anything based on I-Cube-LRWAN to the new "Things Stack" aka "V3" ?
I am trying to start HSE with external crystal (on nucleo WL55JC1 board). I removed R2 (Output from TCXO), added two 0E bridges R39 and R40, added 10k resistor R41 (to remove stub). Then I started the Cube-MX (latest, fresh update...), selected the nucleo WL55 from the board selector, initialized the periphery with board, changed RCC HSE settings to Crystal/Ceramic Resonator and changed the clock configuration to When I compile and debug the project generated by Cube, the execution quits in error handler when the __HAL_RCC_GET_SYSCLK_SOURCE() is called (stm32wlxx_hal_rcc.c, line 347). The HSE status in RCC Control register remains 0 (HSE not ready). Then I checked ref. manual and set all registers "by hand", using only CMSIS calls to enable HSE without success either. With "out of factory" Nucleo setup (TCXO) and settings to use TCXO, everything runs normally. Is there anything else I am missing here? Is there working example with STM32WL or WLE using external XTAL ?Thanks!Marko
Hi, everyone. Is it possible to build an application that supports all regional standards? AS923-1 / AS923-2 / AS923-3 together are of particular interest (depending on the setting, which is changed via the UART, for example).
Hello! I'm working on a STM32WB10CCU and I'm trying to start the BLE peer2peer server following the ST Workshop. Some things have differed from the workshop to what I'm doing such as there being no scheduler.c or scheduler.h to initialize so I'm using the MX_APPE_INIT();My question, is there an updated workshop/tutorial for this or am I missing a step that's not included in the previous workshop? I can't seem to figure out why the init is failing.
Good afternoon to all forum members. I have a problem with stm32wb55 and i2c protocol. I use i2c (hi2c3) with the connected peripherals Ad7746, adxl345, mcp9808 and they work fine, but if I join fram MB85RC256v, with the write/read in the routine I write above, the result is always 0. On Mcu stm32f4 and stm32f103 works fine, but on stm32wb family it doesn't. Where is the error?/* Private define ------------------------------------------------------------*//* USER CODE BEGIN PD */#define AD7746_address 0x90 //AD7746 ok work#define Adxl345_address 0x53<<1 // Adxl345 ok work#define MB85RC256v_Fram_address 0x50 or 0x50<<1 // Fram MB85RC256v not work#define T9808_address 0x18<<1 // MCP9808 work/* USER CODE END PD */I2C_HandleTypeDef hi2c3;/*..*/static void MX_I2C3_Init(void);//---void write_fram8(uint16_t addr,uint8_t wdatafram_8){HAL_I2C_Mem_Write(&hi2c3, MB85RC256v_Fram_address,addr,0xFF,&wdatafram_8,1,10);}uint8_t read_fram8(uint

I'm looking for if exist any project or example for lorawan concentrator. Thanks.
Hi,I have already got the example end_node running, however, i now want to start a new project based on this example. I would like to have all Drivers and Middlewares inside the project and not just links to those files. I had many attempts trying to get it working but there are always issues with the includes. I would be grateful if someone could explain me the process of creating such a project. Thanks in advance!
Hello to the forum. I would like to start working with stm32wb55, due to its low consumption and also because it has the BLE protocol. However, I cannot find how to implement and link the cpus. I ask if anyone knows where I can get simple and practical information to do it step by step, or simply how to pass information from a sensor connected to stm32wb, to BLE protocol. Thank you in advance for any information. Thanks

Hi, we are going to use two PSRAM devices to STM32's QuadSPI interface. Each PSRAM device has its own chip select line cs_b. How do we have such control with the _NCS line in a single-bank quadspi interface? Should we use two extra lines of GPIO separately (without _NCS) or logically linked with _NCS by external gates? Thanks for help.
hi,I'm trying to create a freertos based ble poject on stm32wb5mm-dk board like ble_heartrateFreertos example avaiable for p-nucleo-wb55 board. I have changed sys time base to tim17 and enabled freertos and stm_wpan, and in clock configuration I have changed some source like the example above, but the project don't work, it compile but don't work, it's like cpu2 is not initalizzated, on the board i have the last fus fw and ble full stack installed. Can you tell me what is wrong in these configurations? Also, in my real project I don't need a heart rate service but if I don't enable it there is compilaition error (app_ble.c seem not generated) so it's hard to create it from scratch. Also device information service is not avaibale if don't enable hrm service and no custom service is avaiable, but in my real application I'd like to create a freetos based ble application with stadard service device informations and generic access service enabled and my custom services, but it's imp

Hi,I'm working on a BLE app using an STM32L4 as main processor and a BLuenrg-m2sa as network coprocesor for the BLE stack. have develop the app code and setup all the gatt services and characteristics. Also developed an android app to connect as central device. Long story short, the system is working fine on normal conditions, and the device is using the hci_disconnection_complete_event, and hci_le_connection_complete_event to change the states of paring condition or working condition. In some cases when the app crashes it does not correctly generates the disconnection event but it terminates the connection, the device does not catch the disconnect event and continues to stay on a connected state and do not re-enters the advertising mode. What is the event to catch an eventual timeout with no activity between the bluenrg-m2sa and the android app? to notify the host microcontroller to return to advertising and start all over again?I have tryed with the following events with no success:aci
I've setup a P2PServer based firmware created from CubeMx. So far so good. It advertises as expected. But when I run the lightblue app, it won't connect to my advertising device.I've already compared my firmware to the P2PSERVCE example project from the STM32CubeWB library and don't see any big suspicious differences.I also compared the cubeMX configuration settings fot the STM_WPAN.When I try to connect in the lightblue android app it pop ups the following message:"No data available""Failed to establish connection to device, please select anaother device or try again"Does anyone sounds this behaviour familiar and has a clue to start debugging? The raw advertisement packet of the working and the not working firmware is 100% equal
I'm working on both custom board and P-NUCLEO-WB55. Trying to reach the lowest power consumption as possible I just detected that the measured current in STOP2 is around 50uA (BLE off and RTC ON) instead ~2uA. The result is comparable between boards, and I'm using the PWR_STOP2_RTC example. I uploaded CubeMX and the HAL MCU package to the lastest version, but nothing changed. any advice? Thanks
I'm looking for an example. Can you help me?
Please, exist some tutorial or an example how to use the list of allowed devices to connect? I know the allowed device addresses.
