I enable counter by __HAL_TIM_ENABLE(&htim17);and I see in debugger that PSC register incrementing, not CNT. CNT is always zero. Are the registers messed up?Settings are from CubeIDE 1.41 with stm32wb pack 1.8:static void MX_TIM17_Init(void){ /* USER CODE BEGIN TIM17_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE END TIM17_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE BEGIN TIM17_Init 1 */ /* USER CODE END TIM17_Init 1 */ htim17.Instance = TIM17; htim17.Init.Prescaler = 0; htim17.Init.CounterMode = TIM_COUNTERMODE_UP; htim17.Init.Period = 65535; htim17.Init.ClockDivision = TIM_CLOCKDIVISION_DIV1; htim17.Init.RepetitionCounter = 0; htim17.Init.AutoReloadPreload = TIM_AUTORELOAD_PRELOAD_DISABLE; if (HAL_TIM_Base_Init(&htim17) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } /* USER CODE BEGIN TIM17_Init 2 */ /* USER CODE END TIM17_Init 2 */}
Hi everyone.I use End-Node example code in I-Cube-LRWAN software to run I-Nucleo-LRWAN1, but my device always say join fail.I learn to this video step by step do, but also not work.Conld anyone can help me? Thank you.Update 2021/11/12The End-Node example code in I-Cube-LRWAN is not for I-Nucleo-LRWAN expansion board. It's for SX1272MB2DAS expansion board. So if you use I-Nucleo-LRWAN expansion board you only can use LoRaWAN_AT_Master example code in I-Cube-LRWAN.
Hello, i'm using the NUCLEO-WL55JC board.I am using the LoRaWAN_End_Node example which works fine. However I reach an operating current of around 50mA.Do you have an idea for a solution?Have a good day !
Does anyone know how to restore the default settings of the dongle MB1293C? I was testing it and I did something to it that I didn't notice about and now my computer only recognizes the dongle whet the dongle is in Boot0 mode. Moreover, any LED is on or blinking.
HelloI use STM32CubeProg 1.6 to configure my stm32wb55. If I use ST-Link there are two bookmarks and if I use USB boot there is only one bookmark. Is it ok? And also there are a lot of error while I try to set option bytes via ST_Link. P.S. Please make CubeProg GUI a part of CubeIDE. @Imen DAHMEN
Hi Community,I'm using B-L072Z-LRWAN1 using the firmware AT slave available in the package en.i-cube_lrwan. The evaluation board uses the module CMWX1ZZABZ-091 that includes STM32L072 but the commercialized version of the module is CMWX1ZZABZ-078 that includes STM32L082 with integrated AES-128. I need therefore to migrate the AT slave firmware from STM32L072 to STM32L082. Does anyone have experience with this activity? Is it enough to rebuild the project with STM32L082 (and not use the AES-128 hardware accelerator) or other firmware changes are necessary? Thanks in advance for the support.Matteo
Hello there. I have the NUCLEO-WL55JC1 board. But I couldn't get it to work. The errors I get when I try to connect to ST-LINK Utility and load code in CubeMX are available in the pictures. Can you help me to solve these problems?
I am working on a lorawan project targeted at STM32WB55CGT6. It is QFN48 and I tried running the successful project on NUCLEO-WB55CG. The development board is QFN64. Would I be able to use the same Nucleo board for further development for STM32WB55CGT6? In addition, what is the difference between P-NUCLEO-WB55CG and NUCLEO-WB55CG? Please suggest to me the best evk for STM32WB55CGT6. Thanks in advance
working example Included/provided..So I have been working to get to the point where I can switch between between two modes.Mode 1 = BLE working with RTC calender and Low Power + my application, with <= 50uA current consumption. And Mode 2 = MCU is in standby 99% of the time + my application, RTC wake-up every one second. with few uA current consumption. So I have been trying to get the timeServer to get below 5uA with just an wakeup every second to set an IO pin for indication and nothing else. That failed. So I change to make an NVIC_SystemReset(); to change mode. Is this really the best way ??The how to and changes for this project that is provided. The project is target is the Nucleo WB55 board. I used the https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i10X4Blr8ns as base of the projectMain.cint main(void) { HAL_Init(); MX_APPE_Config(); SystemClock_Config(); MX_RTC_Init(); MX_IPCC_Init(); MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_DMA_Init(); MX_USART1_UART_Init(); MX_USB_PCD
Hello, for the STM32WLExx and the softwarepacket STMCubeWL Example LoraWAN_End_Node i look for a solution to send a packet after an externel interrupt occurs (GPIO PA8)!I think the cpu is waked up ftom STOP2-mode periodically by timer! So i configure GPIO o EXTI8 and enabele Interrupt! But what is to do to send also a packet after interrupt at GPIO PA8?GreetingsE_T
Hello, for the STM32WLe5cc CPU with the STM32CUBEWL (LoRaWAN) i want also wakeup for sending a LORAWAN-package by GPIO (PA8).The example: https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stm32cubewl.htmlLORAWAN_END_NODEI can configure the GPIO PA8 as GPIO_EXTI8 (STM32CubeIDE) and enable interrupt! What must i change in the LORAWAN_END_NODE-example?Greetings E_T
In AN4879 FAQ it is stated to check "Table 3. USB implementation in STM32 devices" whether the USB_DP line has an embedded pull-up resistor.STM32WB55 is not in that list. Can you confirm if the STM32WB55 has embedded pull-up resistor on USB_DP or not?
Hello,I am following the STM32WB+Getting_Started_with_CubeMX_for_BLE_V07 ppt and was having an issue seeing "MyCST" on the ST BLE Sensor App.I am able to see MY_CUSTOM on the Light Blue App and seems to be able to connect and has my two characteristics showing (LED and Button). Why would this not be able to be seen in the ST BLE Sensor App? I followed the slides exactly up to Slide 60...Thanks for any information on this.
I have a GPIO callback (using HAL) and would like to identify which GPIO brought me into the callback and then clear that interrupt flag (the appropriate bit in the PR register), however after looking at the UG in EXTI PR1 I see no definitions of the bits?? Can someone tell me where to look to find what each bit represents? (STM32WB55)....Thanks
I am using NUCLEO-WB55RG for developing a lorawan project targeted to STM32WB55CG chip. I successfully downloaded the code using Keil IDE. When I was loading the code the windows machine was showing there is 3MB of space. I could run the code and debug. But when I tried to connect the Nucleo again I noticed that the disk size has reduced to 32KB. It has a fail.txt file in it and it says "The interface firmware FAILED to reset/halt the target MCU".When I tried to load the code from Keil again it says target not connected and The flash download failed and Target DLL has been canceled. I connected it to cube programmer and was getting a target not connected message. I tried another new board and this problem happened again. My two Nucleo boards are useless and is it possible to factory reset the NUCLEO-WB55RG. Why did this happen? Is there anything wrong with the downloaded project? Please do help me to fix the problem. I am attaching the screenshots too.
Hi, I would like to use StandbyMode + RTC + Sram2a (backup). From the STM32WB55RG datasheet, the Sram2a can be retained after reset from standby mode. "Standby mode with SRAM2a retention when bit RRS is set in the PWR controlregister 3 (PWR_CR3). In this case, SRAM2a is supplied by the low-power"Before low power mode, I have to do :/* Enable SRAM2a retention */ HAL_PWREx_EnableSRAMRetention(); /* Set the lowest low-power mode for CPU2: shutdown mode */ LL_C2_PWR_SetPowerMode(LL_PWR_MODE_SHUTDOWN); /* Enter the standbyMode mode for CPU1 */ HAL_PWR_EnterSTANDBYMode();and to place datas in sram2a :static tDataFormat _t_Data __attribute__((section("MB_MEM2")));But when device reseting from standyMode, SRAM2a (and _t_Data) is empty. Thank for your help.
So once again I have a problem with the STM32WB , I have spent alot of time with the L4 series, and always used the SRAM2 retention in standby function without any problem. And the WB series should be based on the L4, so I had hope for an easy migration. But no. So how do I enable the SRAM2 retention in standby ??All the datasheets tells the story that it it possible.SRAM2a: 32 Kbytes located at address 0x2003 0000 also mirrored at 0x1000 0000, with hardware parity check (this SRAM can be retained in Standby mode)And from the header of stm32wbxx_hal_pwr.c *** Standby mode *** ==================== [..] The Standby mode offers two options: (+) option a) all clocks off except LSI and LSE, RRS bit set (keeps voltage regulator in low power mode). SRAM and registers contents are lost except for the SRAM2 content, the RTC registers, RTC backup registers and Standby circuitry. (+) option b) all clocks off except LSI and LSE, RRS bit cleared (voltage regulator then disabled). SRAM and
Hi, I am trying to run NUCLEO-WL55JC in low power mode. I tried to measure the current consumption, even during Radio.Sleep() mode, it is consuming around 30mA. Is there any way to reduce the current consumption further??
Hello everyone! Could you, please, help me and explain how to use ADC in my p2p server application via DMA.What have I done to get an ADC multichannel conversions in stm32wb app: // in app_ble.c/* USER CODE BEGIN HCI_EVT_LE_CONN_COMPLETE */ HAL_GPIO_WritePin(LD3_GPIO_Port, LD3_Pin, GPIO_PIN_SET); // Program Startif(start_counter != 0){HAL_TIM_Base_Start_IT(&htim1); HAL_ADC_Start_DMA(&hadc1, (uint32_t *) &ADC_buffer, 2);start_counter--;}so after connection device starts a TIM1 and ADC in DMA mode. Then in app_entry.c I have defined two functions - ADC and TIM Callbacks. TIM1 callback works perfect and runs its task after each period overflow, but ADC Callback does not called./* USER CODE BEGIN FD_WRAP_FUNCTIONS */void HAL_TIM_PeriodElapsedCallback(TIM_HandleTypeDef *htim){ if(htim -> Instance == TIM1) { UTIL_SEQ_SetTask(1 << TIM1_ID, CFG_SCH_PRIO_0); }} void HAL_ADC_ConvCpltCallback(ADC_HandleTypeDef* hadc){ if(hadc -> Instance == ADC1) { UTI
I am following the steps from a ppt document (https://community.st.com/s/global-search/stm32wb). I do the exact configuration in my CubeMX, but when i generate the code in Atollic or StmCubeIDE there aren`t some files like app_ble inside STM32_WPAN. Instead of that there are the files of the image. Do you Know how can I solve this problem?. I think it is probably due to a wrong location of the files, but i can not find the error.Thank you!
In the driver I see SUBGHZ_PKTCTL1A can be configured to enable PRBS9 test.static void RadioTxPrbs( void ) { SUBGRF_SetSwitch( SubgRf.AntSwitchPaSelect, RFSWITCH_TX ); Radio.Write( SUBGHZ_PKTCTL1A, 0x2d ); // sel mode prbs9 instead of preamble SUBGRF_SetTxInfinitePreamble( ); SUBGRF_SetTx( 0x0fffff ); }The RM describes the bits but it's not clear how they are used.Bits 7:6 Reserved, must be kept at reset value. Hi there,I came across several articles that mention that the number of packets sent in a connection interval is one of the major parameters limiting the maximum throughput achievable over a Bluetooth connection. I also learned that Bluetooth 4.2 and above allow the master to send multiple packets in a single connection interval, and that it is controllable by the master itself. However, I could not find any significant information about how to configure/increase the number of packets sent in a single connection interval in the STM32WB series. It would be really great if someone could guide me towards having a better understanding of the same.
I am trying to understand how to control power on the stm32wb55. I am running the PWR_STANDBY_RTC example from the latest stm32cube. When in standby I am reading 900 uA. This seems high. What should I expect?
I am trying to set some services as secondary. When the client sends the "Find Included services" I don't see any events on the STM32WB55 side. The logs from client indicate:[18:57:40:898] : 'Find Included Services' request sent[18:57:40:898] : Start Handle: 0x0001[18:57:40:898] : End Handle: 0xFFFF[18:57:40:899] : 'Command Status' event received[18:57:40:899] : Status: BLE_STATUS_OK[18:57:40:911] : 'GATT Error Notification' event received[18:57:40:911] : Error Code: BLE_GATT_ERR_ATTRIBUTE_NOT_FOUNDError: gpm.M1010: Find included services failed. Attribute not foundI checked and the STM32WB has a secondary service at handle : 0x0012and its 2 characteristics at handles: 0x0013, 0x0015
Hi,I have two NUCLEO-WL55JC1 boards with me. I want to make one board as a end device and one board as a gateway. I found end node example with in firmware package of STM32WL but not found any example for gateway. Is there any gateway example available for NUCLEO-WL55JC1?Is this board(NUCLEO-WL55JC1) capable to run gateway example on it?Please help me to resolve above questions. Thanks,Ankit
