Hi Im using the SUBGHz in Lora mode for communication with point to point. What I want to do is design low power communication. I plan to send the first packets from the battery node to SF12 , then the permenant connection node will detect the signal strength , then the battery node will adjust the SF value to make the battery last longer. I assume the receiving node must be able to detect what the sending SF value is, as when I program the node for TTN, the packet received detects the SF factor. Anyone know the SUBGHz command for detecting the SF valulue? Many ThanksScott
I am currently using NUCLEO-WL55JC board. However, I could not initialize the logic analyzer. The watch tab works well, but the analyzer window seems not working. And, I have an error at the bottom showing "Trace: No Synchronization". I set the core frequency (4 MHz) as the same as board's frequency (4 MHz) as you see in the watch tab.I checked SWO pin, it is connected. What is your advice?
I am using the Lora-e5 with the STM32WL55x . I am designing point to point systems and setting them as Lora comms. The application uses various SubGHz commands that I have linked in from the library, like SUBGRF_WriteRegister(..) etc. Is there any documentation on all the commands and registers for the wirelesss part? Many ThanksScott

Hi everyone,I'm developing a device based on a STM32WB55 which has a USB interface. Using CubeMX I created a project with a Custom HID device, FreeRTOS + CMSIS v2.I need to send frames of a proprietary protocol which content usually don't exceed 64 bytes, but sometimes these frames could be up to 255 bytes. For some reason, I can only send interrupt reports (bulk is not possible), so I made a function that splits the frames into several 64 bytes packets and then send them successively. On the first try, I did it by blocking the CUSTOM_HID_SendReport() call with a while(USBD_BUSY == CUSTOM_HID_SendReport(...)); It works, but this is not a good way as the microcontroler ressources are blocked until the bus becomes USBD_OK.I then tried using a semaphore, so that I try to get the semaphore using osSemaporeAcquire() before calling CUSTOM_HID_SendReport().The problem I'm facing is that I can't find the best place in the USB Stack to release the Semaphore when the report has been sent, to unlo

Hello,I'm trying to set up my WB55 USB Dongle to act as an iBeacon device. Following documentation on how to use USB dongle I flashed TransparentmodeVCP binary file on my board and have successfully connected to it with Cube-RF software.I set up beacon mode to use iBeacon protocol following Cube-RF documentation, and I've generated random UUID for my case but I can't find my beacon in any BLE or iBeacon discovering apps on my iPhone. Is this even the right or possible way to do it or do I have to create specific project for my case following STM32WB55 iBeacon example? Thanks in advance!
Dear Community,I'm using a P-NUCLEO-WB55 Board and Dongle, until now only with ST examples.I'm trying to perform firmware update using BLE OTA (switching from BLE_HeartRate_ota to BLE_p2pServer_ota for example) and am facing a problem. The same problem appears if I Use STM32 CUBE Monitor-RF on PC with P-NUCLEO Dongle or using STM BLE Sensor App on Android smartphone. Here is my issue:I can find my device and start an OTA update.Flashing starts and very frequently, it suddenly stops, like if connection was lost.I checked, I have a stable power supply.Could you please give me any hint on how to proceed for debugging? Thanks and best regards
Hi. I am Jay working with STM32 ST board (MB1355C and USB dongle) to build Zigbee application. To become familiar with STM32Cube Firmware, I picked and ran one example of STM32Cube_FW located at STM32Cube_FW_WB_V1.13.0\Projects\P-NUCLEO-WB55.Nucleo\Applications\Zigbee\Zigbee_SE_Msg_Server_RouterSTM32Cube_FW_WB_V1.13.0\Projects\P-NUCLEO-WB55.Nucleo\Applications\Zigbee\Zigbee_SE_Msg_Client_CoordI used Nucleo board and USB dongle for Coordinator/Router each. When I do coverage testing (i.e possible distance), I found that Router (USB dongle) succeeds in joining Coordinator within 8~10m distance. While trying to increase Tx power with using "ZbNwkIfSetTxPower()", I found that "APP_ZIGBEE_NwkForm()" sets Tx Power to 0dB (default value). Due to its setting Tx Power value to 0dB, I should put a Router (USB dongle) within 8~10m away from Coordinator. I dig out more into "ZbStartup()", I cannot find how to set Tx Power in that function. Actually I want it to form a Zigbee networ
I've hit the limit of my research and don't have any experience writing to flash other than at compile time using the keyword 'const', but that doesn't help me because I need to be able to continuously write data. I have a very basic and general sense of what a page and bank is, and just need some help getting started trying to find out how to go about doing this. I'm trying to implement a double buffering mechanism, but to have it stored in flash because my application does not have enough RAM to dynamically allocated what it needs during the worst case. I simply need to write 8-bits of audio sample data in two buffers at 8khz, so every second, I need to be able to page in one second's worth (8 KB) of samples to process while DMA is writing to the other 8 KB buffer. Is this even possible?I don't understand what it takes to be able to erase a bank and write to it, but I feel like it might be complicated, and I'm willing to learn. From what I hear, the read/write cycle is slow, but I'm
HI all,I’d like to create a system communication using LoRa protocol between 2 devices, I don’t want to use TTN. I’m newbie with LoRa I’ve seen Seed provide SDK to use LoRaWAN but I don’t want to use gateway or server. To be simple I have one device with LoRa-E5 and another device with another LoRa-E5, I’d like to be able to comunicate with LoRa between those devices, so it is End device to End device I think, is it possible ?
So, I have TIM2 setup to trigger an ADC conversion and the DMA moves the samples out to RAM. I want to do this every 100us for 1000 iterations. Sounds pretty straight forward. There are 3 ADC channels being sampled using the sequencer on every trigger, so 3000 samples total. Everything works except for the timing. I turned on the timer interrupt and I am only getting to around 600 interrupts when the DMA reports that all the samples have been transferred. I expect there to be 1000 timer ticks. It seems like the ADC is not getting triggered on the timer interrupt, but on something else. Ive tried a lot of configurations and it never seems to change the outcome. Im stumped... Micro is the STM32WB55Timer setup:SENS_Tim2.Instance = TIM2; SENS_Tim2.Init.Prescaler = ((SystemCoreClock / 1000000u) - 1u); // Scale input clock to 1mhz SENS_Tim2.Init.CounterMode = TIM_COUNTERMODE_UP; SENS_Tim2.Init.Period = ((1000000u / SENS_PUMP_SAMPLE_FREQ) - 1u); SENS_Tim2.Init.ClockDivision = TIM_CLOCKDIV
Hi all,I've been trying to use the STM32WB55 Dev Kit and if I generate the project with the peramitirs below and then try to build the project I get this error;*** Error Code *** C:/Users/bryce/STM32CubeIDE/workspace_1.3.0/STM32WB55-MB1355C/Debug/../STM32_WPAN/App/app_thread.c:582: undefined reference to `MX_LPUART1_UART_Init'I'm not too sure how to debug this, please could someone help me with debugging this issue.I think its todo with the GUN not being able to see the Utilities folder?*** Project Config *** HSEM -> Active RF -> Active RTC -> Active LpUart1 -> Mod -> Asynchronous STM32_WPAN -> Thread -> Active STM32_WPAN -> Thread -> Configuation (Tab) HW UART -> CFG_HW_LPUART1_ENABLED -> Enable App Parameters -> CFG_CLI_UART -> hw_lpuart1 Clock Configuration -> Resolve Clock IssuesThanks for looking into this and if you need anything Please let me know
Hi St forum I'm in the progress of creating a peripheral BLE application using the STM32WB55CE on a custom board. I'm trying to implement low power now, but struggling.. Using the X-Nucleo-LPM01A power monitor board I've measured my current consumption (no low power implemented): This is not impressive, but expected. To get a grip on ST low power, I've run various examples on the P-Nucleo.WB55 dev. board, but it looks like the current consumption is very high no matter the example??? I've based my guesses on the Power features application note. Setup: All jumpers from STLINK is removed during test. PWR_STOP2_RTC exampple: expected ~2.2uA PWR_EnterStandbyMode: expected < 1uA. PWR_SMPS_16MHZ_HSI w/o RF Stack: ?? PWR_SMPS_16MHZ_HSI with RF Stack: BLE_HeartRate: not sure. So the question is: I'm I missing something vital? Ideally I would like the application to enter either STOP2 or STANDBY when no BLE central
In STM\STM32Cube_FW_WL_V1.2.0\Projects\NUCLEO-WL55JC\Applications\LoRaWAN\LoRaWAN_End_Node\LoRaWAN I cannot find an explanation for the NUCLEO-WL55C1 LEDS GREEN, BLUE, RED meanings. In lora_app.c I found: AppLedStateOn = appData->Buffer[0] & 0x01; that toggles the RED LED There is nothing in the DOCS, README, PDF files and the source is not commented to the programmers intentions, must be real obvious but I'm missing it.
We want to transmit audio over Bluetooth. We are new to audio and Bluetooth. We have got P-nucleo-WB55 board for Bluetooth and ST EVAL MIC007V1 sensor for digital audio. Can anybody guide us with an example project using I2S.Thanking in advance.
Hey,unfortunately the dongle is no longer recognized as a serial port when i load one of my projects onto the device. When I use the example applications, it works fine. Any idea what this could be.Thanks in advanceEddy

Hello,I am having issues with RTC Alarms in BLE applications on my STM32WB boards. If BLE isn't turned on, the alarms work correctly. When I turn BLE on, the alarms stop working. After some debugging, I found out that the RTC registers are set up correctly, and the alarms trigger their respective hardware interrupt flag, but for some reason RTC_AlarmIRQHandler doesn't get executed. This behavior happens in both my custom BLE application and the example BLE applications CubeMX can generate. Does anyone have any tips what the issue might be? Thanks.Edit: Forgot to mention MCU types: one board has a WB50CGU, the other one a WB55CGU.
Hello,I'm trying to auto generate the the AppKey on device boot using the KMS Derive.I have enabled the LORAWAN_KMS definition as described on the AN5406 and also the configuration that needed. But the device don't generate any key and after investigation the C_DeriveKey() throwing error CKR_DEVICE_MEMORY that cant find a solution yet. Is any better way to auto generate the key without flashing any blob?Using the stm32wle5 mcu
Hello,I have started to develop one LoRa end node around a STM32WLE5CC6 chipset(QFPN48).My device is operating in EU868 band. While the device is transmitting, I acquire the data for the frequency spectrum with a spectrum analyzer. As you can see from the screenshot, there are unwanted sided-signals(spurious) around the central frequency(868 MHz). Specifically, both the lower side and the upper side are equally away 5 MHz from the central frequency. What is your consideration for the possible root cause of spurious injection? Is there any way to block or reduce these spurious? Thanks in advance,Stavros.
Hi,Currently, I'm working with the P-NucleoWB55 evaluation kit, and I'm developing a Zigbee network to exchange some messages between devices. My problem comes when I have to form and join the network. I'm not sure about the meaning of the configuration parameters: panId, networkManagerAddress, extendedPanId, shortAddr. I would like to know what are those parameters useful for (form the network, join, and identify the device).
I am using STM32WB Discovery kit for STM32WBB5MM MCUs for development. I've setup the board as a RFD, Centralized End Device. How do I disable Zigbee security level if I don't need it? Currently, I have to set it manually in APP_ZIGBEE_NwkForm() by config.security.level = 0;However, this would get erased once I regenerate the code with STMCubeMX.Thanks in advance for any help.
