Dear ST As a follow up to my previous question (https://community.st.com/s/question/0D53W00001Tgf47SAB/high-power-consumption-in-low-power-examples:( I'm using a custom board based on the STM32WB55CE6U MCU, design using the various application notes and Nucleo-WB datasheet/user manual. The board does work, as I'm able to run my core BLE application with ADC/DMA and other functionality. I've now started to implement Low Power (FreeRTOS tickless idle) using STOP2 mode. The current consumption has dropped significantly (from 10mA --> 630uA during idle), but that is nowhere near the 3-6uA the BLE_HeartRate_FreeRTOS example uses on the Nucleo development board. Digging in to the issue I've played around with the simple PWR_STOP2_RTC example, which uses ~3uA on the Nucleo. Running the same (basically) software on my board, the consumption is never below ~80uA. I've literally soldered off all components but the basics - see pictures. Are there some custom
We Developing One Product which will use in very noisy environment. In our product we are using STM32WLE5CC which connected with multiple input switches some are Active high Configured and Some are Active Low Configured. So our query is which values of resister should we use for Pull-Up/Pull-Down that input pins.4.7k or 10k or any other value?
Hello - I was using the results of aci_hal_get_anchor_period() just a few months ago, but now in v1.13.3 BLE_full_stack, it is returning ERR_UNKNOWN_HCI_COMMAND. Is there some command that needs to be sent to enable getting the anchor period? If there is no way to successfully invoke this in v1.13.3, please - what is the last version in which it was enabled?
In v1.13.3 BLE full_stack it looks like general scanning is locked-out forever after terminating a direct connection establishment procedure. Using the Nucleo dev boards as a master and a slave, start general scanning with aci_gap_start_general_discovery_proc(), return is SUCCESS. The target slave is found, scanning is stopped and connection with it is started by master with aci_gap_create_connection(), return is SUCCESS. Before this connection completes, the slave goes out of range or just stops advertising and goes to its deep sleep. But then connection establishment is hung forever on the master. So, master cancels this indefinitely "hung" procedure with aci_gap_terminate_gap_proc(GAP_DIRECT_CONNECTION_ESTABLISHMENT_PROC), return is SUCCESS and soon receive the ACI_GAP_PROC_COMPLETE_VSEVT_CODE with the status of SUCCESS and the procedure code of GAP_DIRECT_CONNECTION_ESTABLISHMENT_PROC, all as expected. The problem now is master can no longer re-start scanning, call to aci_gap_start_

Hi, How can I set the RF output power of stm32wl55 in a LoRaWAN application? I have Nucleo board, but it seems transmission power is adjusted automatically. The distance between the Gateway and Nucleo is a bit far, so I need to increase TX power. If I read TXPower using functions of LmHandler APIs, I always see 0(I think this means 0dBm output power). How to set TX power? (I've tried SetTxPower function, but I still read 0)
Hello,Is there have 2-Layer Reference design based on SMDs with STM32WL UFBGA MCU ?Thank you,Sincerely
Hello everyone,I want to make a project with STM32L series and LORA module and battery optimization is essential. I am going to run MCU under 1.8V but I am still not sure about LORA module. I am seeing support 1.8V operational mode. I assume if I have any problem 1.8V I will switch it to 3V3. In this scenerio, 1V8 stm32l0 and 3V3 Lora communicates with SPI and Lora spi will be 3V3. Can the stm32l0 handle the 3V3 spi com. Any person available here who is experienced about with 1V8.Thanks in advance.
I am developing a hardware design using the STM32WLE5JCI6. As a reference, I am looking at projects "MB1842.PrjPcb" (reference design) and "MB1389.PrjPcb" (Nucleo-WL55JC1 design files)
I'm trying to understand how I program the BLE Stack and FUS in the CPU2 of STM32WB55G (1Mb). When I use the binary available of ST repositoy, in default mode I program the "stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_full_fw.bin" in address started 0x08000000, but in the release_note that is available of ST repository, it's show us that the binary needs program in address started 0x080D0000: When I program with this configuration and also program the "BLE_Ota", the application works (I can see the device in the app "ST BLE SENSOR"). But I didn't understand like it works, because the BLE_Ota start address in the 0x08000000 and it's overwrite the program previous (stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_full_fw.bin), right?I did any tests: I Followed the video "STM32WB Getting Started Series: Part 7, Over-the-Air (OTA)" for understand the construction of memory, I understood that the memory of CPU 1 is 0x0800000 until 0x080CB000 and CPU 2 is 0x080CB000 until 0x080FFFFF:So, when I try to read the memory of 0x080CB000, I get t
Hello,I want connect to a bluetooth device/sensor from stm32wb and configure the device : for example confgure the period that it shoold advertise for.Is that possible? If yes how ?
I'm using SAI PDM interface to record pdm audio coming from 4 microphones. I'm using a stm32wb55rg and the memsmic1's example. There are some parts I don't understand with the SAI configuration in the example. Here is a part of the code provided in the example : As I'm using 4 microphones with a wanted PCM audio sampling of 48 kHz + 64 decimation, PDM_Clock_Freq is set to 3072 and frame length is set to 16 (I didn't change these values there are the original ones), thus AudioFrequency is equal to 768 000.But when I try to get the same configuration using the ioc interface, the max frequency I can use is 192 kHz : Why can't I put 768 KHz ? It's a bit annoying if you can't configure all the settings directly in the ioc interface :\ Also, I see "SAI_PDM_CLOCK2_ENABLE". Why is it Clock2 and not Clock 1 ? What are the differences between these two clocks ?Another question I have is about clock configuration. Looking at the code provided in the example, I got this clock configuration for
I have a question about how to correctly update a value of characteristic of custom BLE service on STM32WB50CG. The project was set up with CubeMX following their official tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i10X4Blr8ns.My main application is running on M4 core. It uses multiple sensors and then does various statistics with data taken from them. BLE stack is running on M0+ core. I can see all the services & characteristics I defined in the app (BLE Toolbox from STM) on my Android phone. Now I am trying to figure out how to update characteristics from main application. I tried to call those functions bellow with predefined value in my main app, but read value of characteristic on my Android phone is always 0.Result status of aci_gatt_update_char_value is "success" when Custom_STM_App_Update_Char is called.Functions I tried to call in my main application on M4 core to update characteristics (with fixed value of 5 for testing purposes)Custom_STM_App_Update_Char(CUSTOM_STM_CVOLTA
Situation - I'm combining code examples from the STM32WB Opus Library code, with that of the Echo Cancellation (AEC) Function Pack. Using the code base to have support for a microphone, speaker, and Bluetooth. When implementing the code for the CCA01M1 board from the AEC example into the BVOPUS_Peripheral Example, I'm not seeing correct behavior when initializing the SAI/DMA and initiating a transmit function. The DMA callback never fires, which leads to it being unprocessed, and the SAI handle staying in a locked state. Any ideas where to look would be really appreciated. Attached are the cca01m1_audio.c and .h files. Relevant functions are: CCA01M1_AUDIO_OUT_Init() // Top level initSAI_MspInit() // DMA ConfigHAL_SAI_Transmit_DMA() - Function called presenting the issue. I am expecting to see breakpoints being hit in callback functions specified in the HAL_SAI_Transmit_DMA() function here. When watching breakpoints in these three functions, I'm never seeing them triggered. Finally, th
HiI'm using Nucleo-WL55JC1 STM32WL development board for LoRaWAN end node dual core and i have a custom board with MCU STM32WLE5CBU6 for LoRaWAN end node single core.I have configured LoRaWAN end node protocol parameters like this documentation (https://www.st.com/resource/en/application_note/dm00660451-how-to-build-a-lora-application-with-stm32cubewl-stmicroelectronics.pdf).The program from the example project has been uploaded successfully. After I uploaded the LoRaWAN end node program to the STM32WL55JC1 (dual core) development board, it said "WARNING: There is a difference between the MAPPING_TABLE placement in memory: 0x20008000 and the address calculated according to the IPCCDBA option byte: 0x2003FFF0 The execution enters now in a while(1){} please check the CM4\MbMux\mbmuxif_sys.c or update the scatter file" on the external terminal via serial usb and couldn't send data to the server / gateway with OTAA. I have followed the solution steps given from this topic:(h
We are also facing same tx timeout in our custom designed hardware. We are using XO clock in the design and donot have option for TCXO. Please share your inputs whether STM32WL55JC1 will work with XO clock. We got struck with TX Timoeut issue.
Hi, I am using an STM32WB50 and i need to find a way to discover fus and stack versions installed not using an external tool but directly by reading some register or using specific function. Is there a way to do this? Thanks
Hi...Community Hope you all are doing well Recently, I'm dealing with the STM32WB custom hardware In my application, i need the USB VCP logs during the BLE operation And that's how I'm using USB CDC for the communication with the serial terminal For me, I'm getting the debug logs at the serial terminal until the code reaches to CPU2 bootWhen CPU2 comes in to the picture then, suddenly CDC logs stops due to wireless stack initialisation After some googling, I got to know that the CPU2 uses the RNG, and that's how it's stopping the USB clock Unfortunately Peripherals code settings not seems to be working for me as per the application note AN5289I have attached code snippets for the Peripheral clock settings here However, the same code generating the debug logs with the Nucleo board because of the lower version of the wireless stack on a top of it!My custom board is running with the cube SDK version 1.11.1void PeriphClock_Config(void) { #if (CFG_USB_INTERFACE_ENABLE != 0) RCC_PeriphCLKIn
We dont require any of the RF features in our use case. Had to choose this MCU due to chip shortage. Just want a functionality of a regular STM.Can we just use application core independently ?Is it possible to disable RF (Bluetooth radio ) completely and run the other core ? Please advise.
Hi,I would like to send a message from the server to the client, in order to stablish a polling communication protocol. I can send from client to server, but not from server to client. I have added the protocols in both devices, and I have the tunnel state in a pointer, from each request callback. My doubt it's what more I have to do to be able to send a message to the client using this function: ZbZclTunnelServerSendto(zigbee_app_info.tunneling_server_1, stateTunnel, &msg[0], 8,ZCL_DIRECTION_TO_CLIENT, &msg_callback, NULL)
Hello Everyone,Intro. Our embedded project was defined based on the BC127 Bluetooth module, which enjoyed Melody 7.0 firmware. We used the SPP protocol in such a way that a new virtual comport is added to my device manager list when the operating system is connected to BL. In this manner, we use it to send/receive the stream of data in the form of virtual serial communication.Q. Recently, We have started to use STM32WB that BL is dedicated to inside it. My question is that does SMT32 firmware for the BL co-processor support SPP (or other protocols like that) ?? And will be added virtual COMPORT to my device manager list?(Because our application only works with COMPORT)Or, is it possible to establish an RFCOMM connection with pybluez and BL devices which is paired to my system??Thank you in advance.
HiFor the past few days I've been trying to get a dual core project with FreeRTOS and the LoRaWAN Stack for a custom STM32WL55 design to work but the CubeIDE seems to not properly generate everything that's required for it to work. When blindly generating a project, everything compiles well but the program halts in the MBMUXIF_SystemInit function because the IPCC Data Buffer hasn't been placed at the right location. This buffer apparently should be placed inside of the MAPPING_TABLE section which is not created anywhere in the linker script so it just gets placed in the data section. There's also other linker sections being referenced in the code that simply just not exist. The Linker script seems to be a generic one not at all designed to work with the LoRaWAN library. I also couldn't find any documentation anywhere about how to do it manually. When creating that linker section and setting the IPCCDBA value accordingly with the STM32CubeProgrammer, it successfully gets past that check b
