Hi I have two stm32wb55rg nucleo which i will use to transfer data via bluetooth for each other.I would like to use an external antenna like the ant0060. However, I did not notice any change in the receiving range after changing the gain antenna from 3.3 dbi to 5 dbi. The code is used from the project:GitHub - stm32-hotspot/STM32WB-BLE-PER-Testbench: Example demonstrates how to enable BLE Direct Test Mode (DTM) in the STM32WB from a firmware user application using HCI testing commands directly to perform a Packet Errror Rate (PER) measurementIs it possible to change the transmit and receive power by the stm32wb55rg chip itself?
Hi Everybody!New with STM32, i'm currently working on a project in order to combine black line detection with an AlphaBot and IA embedded with a TOF sensor, all of that with a Nucleo-WB55.Actually I would like to add a Bluetooth function to be able to read informations about all the sensors. The matter is : When I enable my RTC (mandatory with BLE), my timers (used to generate a PWM for the wheels motors) doesn't work : The right one doesn't move but the other one is at 100%.Have you an idea of something to check?Thank you!
I am trying to connect to a Polar HRM with a STM32WB55 Nucleo board by modifying the BLE_p2pClient example. I tested the example and it worked in connecting to another ST board. Then I modified the code to connect to the UUID of the HRM I got from the scan, changing SERVER_REMOTE_BDADDR putting the UUID in reverse order. In the scan, I was able to find the exposed services to check if the scan was a success and got the UUID and RSSI from there. When I ran aci_gap_create_connection to connect, it returned a BLE_STATUS_SUCCESS, but I did not get a HCI_LE_CONNECTION_COMPLETE_EVENT like I did when I successfully connected to another ST board. I messed around with the connection interval, slave latency and supervision timeout, but still couldnt get the device to connect. I also am not seeing the complete name in the advertising data when I scan with the STM board, but I know its being advertised by checking with with a phone app and other device names are showing up as well. I tried the sam
Hi,I developed an application with the Nucleo card which embeds an STM32WL55JCI6 starting from the "Sigfox_PushButton" example. The program uses 60 kB of flash and 8 kB of RAM and therefore works under the STM32WL55JCI6 which embeds 256 kB of flash and 64 kB of RAM.I would like to pass the programme to a smaller and cheaper microcontroller, the STM32WLE5C8U6 (64kB flash, 20 kB RAM).So I imported the project from the new target under CubeMX, I only had to reassign the used pins.Unfortunately, the problem is that when I compile the program, I am no longer at 60 kB of flash but at 84 kB used and the program therefore does not pass on the microcontroller. When looking at the flash memory usage details, the STM32WLE5C8U6 seems to consume much more memory in each function.I don't understand why the program which is exactly the same has a different size from one target to another ? Also, does this mean that the STM32WLE5C8U6 is unusable with Sigfox ?I'm confused, thanks for your help,Steven
Hello.I have noticed that a new FW was released and I tried to update our devices version.First of all, I was working with previous 1.13 version that had BLE stack light, basic and full versions, in 1.15 version I noticed that there is light, full and full extended. What are the differences? From what I saw, documentation didn't changed from previous versions and there is no info about full extended version.Second, we update 2 devices with 1.15 full extended version and both devices stucked in hard fault handler after calling scatterload function. any ideas what could happen? Thanks.
The Bluetooth Mesh Library version 1.14.0 has the following Capabilities:[Library Capabilities]Net Keys = 3App Keys = 3Elements per Node = 5Models per Element = 11Subscription per Model = 10Is it possible to increase these value somehow? I want for example more than 10 subscriptions per Model.
I made a breakout board using the STM32WB5MMG with SWD debugging.I have confirmed that the SWD pins are working.I have also set up HSEM, IPCC, RCC, RTC, RF, STM32_WPAN required but I can't detect the BluetoothThe following are clock configuration.
Hi, I have new custom board on STM32WL55CCU7. I can't flash/program with STM32CubeIDE. And when i try to connect with STM32CubeProgrammer with "Normal'" mode I have this error :"Error: Cannot connect to access port 1! If you are trying to connect to a device with TrsutZone enabled please try to connect with HotPlug Mode" 14:23:09 : ST-LINK SN : 002900213431511631343632 14:23:09 : ST-LINK FW : V3J10M3 14:23:09 : Board : STLINK-V3MINIE 14:23:09 : Voltage : 1,78V 14:23:09 : Error: Cannot connect to access port 1! Hi,I'm Using stm32wb5mm-dk with I2S mic to capture audio and using TAS2563 I'm playing the captured audio. The data from the mic is transmitted and played using DMA. Now I want to transmit the I2S mic data using BLE. I used notification method using sequencer. On the other side using python i receive the data and convert it to wav. I found that in my audio signal I'm getting noise. Can anyone help me with this or suggest a good way to do this(transmitting the mic data over BLE).Thanks in advance.
Hi, I want to develop a basic Zigbee end device. After having successfully programmed a STM32WB55 Nucleo with the example Zigbee_OnOff_Server_Distrib, I tried to use CubeIDE to setup from scratch my own device. I am unable to set CFG_DEBUG_TRACE, as it is set in the provided OnOff example.I join my .ioc project file. Why don't you provide .ioc file for each example? Thanks in advance for your answers.
Would like to update the ble stack of stm32wb55 to 1.15.Do old commands from stack 1.13 are supported?And which parameter describes the stack version:APP_DBG_MSG("Wireless Firmware version %d.%d.%d\n", WirelessInfo.VersionMajor, WirelessInfo.VersionMinor, WirelessInfo.VersionSub); APP_DBG_MSG("Wireless Firmware build %d\n", WirelessInfo.VersionReleaseType); APP_DBG_MSG("FUS version %d.%d.%d\n", WirelessInfo.FusVersionMajor, WirelessInfo.FusVersionMinor, WirelessInfo.FusVersionSub); Thanks!
I connected my STM32WB5M DK with USB DFU mode according to manual and description. When i want to read or write the opt area over the cli and i got the error:Error: OTP programming is currently not supported on MCU devices What does it mean it is currently not supported? I saw in other post it was working in other versions?
But I am not able to disconnect. Can someone please help me with how to disconnect from the server?
We made custome PCB board using STM32WB5MMG. We tried (489) BLE Security with STM32WB - 04 Simple BLE application generated from CubeMX - YouTube, and also we followed repository example too. We enabled the necessary settings which is mentioned above video but weI didn't get BLE name.

I have a board P-NucleoWB55 and I'm trying to acquire a signal with external clock, very similar to uart, I tried with usart in slave mode without succcess, I tried with spi slave without success. Now I'm trying to trigger a DMA transfer with a timer and clock source ETR.I'm following this thread but the code use old api and I don't understand how start the timer.I configured TIM2 Clock Source ETR2 and Counter Period, DMA TIM2_UP.I read the AN4666 but I don't understand very well the example.I tested this code: HAL_TIM_Base_Start(&htim2); HAL_DMA_Start_IT(&hdma_tim2_up, GPIOB->IDR, (uint32_t)buf, sizeof(buf));I receive interrupt for timer but not for dma.Thank you for suggestions
Hello Community,I have made a custom board for the LoRa application for both P2P as well as LoRaWAN modes. The reference for the RF network I referred to is "Highband High Power" from the MB170 schematic. The frequency I am making this module is EU868 and high power. Below are the images of the MB170 and my board RF network. While testing my board with Nucleo-WL55JC1 in P2P mode, the error is coming in receive mode. Also in transmission, when I transmit some message at receiving node (Nucleo-WL55JC1) RXP2P ERROR message is shown. Are there any changes in the RF network value that will give me a fruitful result?
In datasheet, pin 43 as PB0 and pin 44 as PB1. However, it is reversed on the module.
Hello,I'm trying to put the STM32WB55 into standby mode and eventually wake it up using wakeup pin 1 (PA0), but it wakes up directly after the HAL_PWR_EnterSTANDBYMode() is executed. After that, I checked the PWR->SR1 and it had BLEWUF bit set, but I don't understand why because I have enabled only WAKEUP_PIN1 source. The second core is running full BLE stack and there are no interrupt flags pending at the time when I enter standby mode. I also clear all PWR->SR1 flags before entering standby mode. Many thanks for help
I am fiddling with a STM32WB5M discovery kit. This kit includes a QuadSPI external NOR FLASH chip and i need to understand this in order to make early design choices. Could the DMA access that external FLASH memory space?I didnt try it yet, but my limited understanding of how DMA magic works is telling me it wont work because QSPI is in the way... am i wrong?is there any way to include external FLASH/RAM thats accessible by DMA?
I could not find a definite answer on the STM32WBx5 reference manual.I am setting the LPTIM to generate a periodic interrupt by configuring the ARR register, say to 1 millisecond period. Occasionally, I need to reprogram the ARR with a longer period, e.g. 2 seconds, and then I put the system in Sleep/Stop mode. On exit from sleep, I am reprogramming ARR to the original 1ms period.I seem to end up in situations where the CNT register is higher than ARR (the 1ms value), e.g. CNT=10, ARR=7, even though CNT was lower when ARR was reprogrammed. I still get the interrupt though, and CNT seems to reset at some point. This seems to become more likely with higher prescaler values (CFGR.PRESC).
