I am working with an older version of CubeMx 6.4.0 with a STM32WB55 for a legacy project. We are trying to avoid upgrading CubeMX if we can. I am looking at the Battery Charging option in the USB settings under connectivity. When I enable the option, it generates code that does not link with my existing code. Even if I tweak the generated code to compile by commenting out the empty function that is causing a linker error, it does not appear that there is anything in the code calling HAL_PCDEx_BCD_VBUSDetect. Is there something else that needs to be configured in CubeMX for this option to work properly, or is this something I need to upgrade to a newer version of CubeMX to fix?
Hello, I'm using the SubGhz_Phy_PingPong example to transfer data via Lora from a NUCLEO stm32WL to another, but I can't figure out how I can send a data array in the main.c file to the other board.Following the example, it has the main calling the MX_SubGHz_Phy_Process() function, that's in the app_subghz_phy.c file. However, the code that occurs the transaction between boards is in the subghz_phy_app.c, in the PingPong_Process() function. How do I take the array that I want from main, and send it all the way to that last function to send it?
I am trying to use the WL55 with a legacy 2-gfsk system that relies on CC1120 chip. The major issue here is related to de-whitening of the received data. I am editing the subghz ping pong example. Band, AWG and datarate are coherent with the legacy system, but the data I receive is waaaaay too long compared to the expected (and transmitted) one. First issue: I'd like to receive all the data over the air, preamble and sync word included. I am not sure I am receiving it because the data does not look like the sync word (that is 0xAA in the CC1120 and 0x55 on the WL55). I am relying on the variable-length packet format BTW.Second issue: in Variable length packet format the whitening is applied both in tx and rx ALSO to the legth byte hence the data I receive is arbitrarly long. Third issue: the PN9 algorythm in CC1120 and in WL55 are different, something related to IBM vs CCITT, hence the only solution I can figure is to receive whitened packets and de-white them in software. I don't thin
I am checking the below example code given in RAK3172 low level development folder.C:\en.stm32cubewl\STM32Cube_FW_WL_V1.0.0\Projects\NUCLEO-WL55JC\Examples_LL\LPUART\LPUART_WakeUpFromStop_InitThe only change I made here is for LED2 , GPIO pin changed from 9 to 6.(In RAK3172 evaluation board,LED2 connected from 6th pin)But,LED2 is not litting as excepted.Kindly advise me in this regard.
I cannot get the Phy_802_15_4_Cli example project working on our custom board (as part of certification). Seems like there is something wrong with the CM0 / CPU2 core, but I have no idea what the return codes mean.Only things I have changed in the example project are:UART parametersUsing LPUART1 as CLI interface insteadEnabled the relevant clocksCFG_DEBUG_TRACE = 0 CFG_FULL_LOW_POWER = 0CFG_LPM_SUPPORTED = 0CFG_LED_SUPPORTED = 0CFG_BUTTON_SUPPORTED = 0Changed the various GPIO pin mappingsGPIO_TX_PINGPIO_HARD_FAULT_PINGPIO_MCO_PINI need to get this to work with CubeMonitorRF, but it is also running into the same issues.================================= (STM32WB55) RF 802_15_4 LLDs test ================================= Trace is de-activated M0 FW Type : 802.15.4 and radio PHY validation CLI (v1.16.0) for Target WB55 802.15.4 driver version : v2.2.0 HW/system info : CUT 2.1 - Dev ID 0x00000495 - Package info 0x0A - UID64 0x0186C461 0x0080E126 802.15.4 valid cli > InitLLD Execute co
One of the biggest offenders is shown in the image below. All of the USB device types from usbd_def.h are not getting recognized by the compiler, even though usbd_def.h is in the include list at the top of the file in this image, and I can control-click to any of these structure definitions to go right to the defnition in usbd_def.h. I'm stumped about how to fix this. I have tried refresh, clean project and restart the IDE.

Hello, to get a lower power consumption in my application i would like to go in stop mode 2 and wake up shortly to receive some characters on the LPUART. But unfortunately my mcu does not wake up. I can see with the debugger that the send Byte is in the DR of the LPUART and after leaving the stop mode I also end up in the LPUART_ISR. It seems to me that I forget something or do something wrong. Therefore I am looking for help here.Currently I set the following registers before entering stop mode 2in LPUART1->CR1 USART_CR1_UESM in LPUART1->CR3 USART_CR3_WUFIEin LPUART1->ICR USART_CR3_WUCFLSE is running and propagated and selected for LPART1 by 9600 Baud
I would like to create a script by arduino IDE that allows me to communicate in Sigfox. I own an STM32WL55. I haven't found any library on the internet that allows me to do this communication. Is there any documentation explaining how to program this communication through arduino IDE or any library?
Hello, I am trying to create a simple openthread project on my NUCLEO-WB55RG. There is no custom code in this project; just the code generated from the CubeMX ioc file attached.By all means, I think that I have all the necessary settings for this project selected in the IOC file (attached), but "SHCI_USER_EVT_PROC" task never finishes, and instead hangs on SHCI_C2_Thread_Init(). Am I doing something wrong?
I can make the RTC wakeup work in Standby mode, but not STOP2 mode.
i am working with lsm303agr accelerometer and magnetometer sensor module with controller STM32WB , am using the library from the ST for the implementation of software. I can able to fetch data using the I2C protocol. But when I try to use the SPI 3 wire method I always getting some garbage values' tried 2 different method for the implementation of half duplex SPI1) using the half duplex configuration available on CUBEMX (only used MOSI of controller).2) making 4 wire SPI in configuration and shorting miso and MOSI together and controlling the pin direction using SPI_1LINE_TX(&hspi2); and SPI_1LINE_RX(&hspi2);3) connected miso directly to data pin of LSM303AGR and MOSI connected to data pin using a 1 k ohm resistor .(providing impedance while receiving ).in the first 2 cases I didn't got any correct data sometimes its reading 0 and sometimes its reading garbage values.in the 3rd method I am able to get some data but its not consistent(device id is reading fine sometimes).CAN ANY
Hi fellas,We are planning for LoRa based FUOTA updates using STM32 MCUs. The LoRa Transceiver we are planning to use is SX1302. In I-CUBE-LRWAN blog, they told its meant for STM32L0/1/4 series alone. Can we use some other series like STM32G0 series, for cost reasons? If not, what is the actual reason for it? As STM32G0 also has SPI interface, which can be interfaced to our Transceiver. Also, as another hiccup, SX1302 has only HAL support, which works in Linux based Processor and no implementation idea has been given in terms of Controller? Any suggestions regarding that?
Hello togetherI am currently doing the tutorial from ST (STM32WB Getting Started Series: Part 12b, Lab. Receiving data from the phone) to send and receive Information with BLE. I am stuck in the video at 15:00 when the device should show up on the ST BLE Toolbox App. (Some clock settings were not right from the beginning, I adjusted them to the ones in the video) I already tried:repeating the tutorial in case I made any mistakesreplacing the services, attributes and array size (was already correct due to latest update), see picture in attachementresetting the nucleo after flashingreplacing my app_ble.c and custom_app.c from the google drive (not the ble_conf.h as this has the settings for the WB55)the heart rate example. It works and shows up. replacing the settings from me with the ones from this example (BD_ADDRESS and Power didnt help.I found another post that was solved with the adjustment of the settings. Since this doesnt work for me, I am asking a new question now.My computer ru
Say I want the Projects/B-L072Z-LRWAN1/Applications/LoRaWAN/LoRaWAN_AT_Slave project loaded up.What exactly am I supposed to do in the IDE?I've loaded that project up, but can only build the debug configuration - it doesn't seem right.I did change the code to use AS923 and also added an extra message to the startup and those changes seem to be present on my board but I can't believe I have the project imported properly.I'm also wondering how I use the LoRaWAN code for my own project. Am I supposed to import either the AT or End_Node project and start adding my code to them?
There are two inductors, L1 10uH and L5 10nH, in series for SMPS circuit in P-NUCLEO-WB55 design. Why is that? is the sequence affective (smaller L5 coming out of VLXSMPS pin)? Thanks. -wq
I've used BLE for a month now on the wb5mmg with the 1.14.1 firmware with the steval-proteus board. The setup in the .ioc for new projects was always the same:HSEM, IPCC, RCC, RTC, RF, (USART)Activating BLEUsing Default P2P Settings or Custom TemplateThen I used the ST BLE Toolbox App to look at the services. It was never any trouble and worked already without much user configEarlier this week I updated the Cube IDE to 1.11 and with it updated the firmware for the wb5 to 1.15.0.After the update new projects created on the 1.15 firmware would not advertise. APP_BLE_Init(void) (app_ble.c) was never called because the function where it was called in was registered as a Task but never set.Function calls were as follows: app_entry.c: appe_Tl_Init(void) was calledIn this function shci_user_evt_proc is registered as task for the sequencerAlso APPE_SysUserEvtRx is passed as a function pointerThis function is important because: APPE_SysUserEvtRx (app_entry.c) -> APPE_SysEvtReadyProcessing (a
My configuration is when button is pressed start advertising and stop advertising after 100ms. When the button is pressed a few times device gets hung and continuously advertises. When I tried debugging following is the traces I didn't understand this problem, can someone please explain this? and how to solve this.Thank you.
Hello,we’re doing some research on LoRa tecnology to evaluate if it’s suitable for our products. We’re interested in STM32WLxx MCU, so we downloaded STM32CubeWL Firmware package from GitHub.We are trying to understand the principle of working of some FW examples you provided in the package.1. Projects\NUCLEO-WL55JC\Applications\LoRaWAN\LoRaWAN_End_NodeAN5406 suggests that the example “measures battery level and CPU temperarature and send values periodically to the LoRa Network using LoRa radio class A?. Looking at the readme.txt file in the example, this setup is shown:So, the questions are:· Once the firmware is flashed into the NUCLEO-WL55JC board, what is the best way to implement the LoRa network present in the example? Is it something already provided by ST or is it a third-party device?· Does LoRa network device in the example represent LoRaWAN gateway? Is in general possible to impleme
We tried the simplest and the most basic LL driver based App, LED blinking, on Nucleo boards:int main(void) { LL_APB2_GRP1_EnableClock(LL_APB2_GRP1_PERIPH_SYSCFG); LL_APB1_GRP1_EnableClock(LL_APB1_GRP1_PERIPH_PWR); NVIC_SetPriorityGrouping(NVIC_PRIORITYGROUP_4); SystemClock_Config(); MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_USART2_UART_Init(); while (1) { LL_GPIO_TogglePin(LD3_GPIO_Port, LD3_Pin); LL_mDelay(1000); } }Comments and empty lines are removed. We just added two lines of code in the while loop. Everything else is from MX. (LED pin changes with different Nucleo boards).Well, it doesn't work. It failed on Nucleo-L432KC and Nucleo-L452RE. Both are L4 MCU so they use the same FW and library. It can't pass through the system clock configuration. The MCO output of the internal PLL has no life at all. However, it works on Nucleo-WB55RG. The LED is blinking! Is there anything I missed in LL based programming? or is there anything to fix for L4 firmware and library? Thanks. -wq
I have one product with inside the module Murata CMW. The product will be present on a public Lora network. The product is a sensor, so it will trasmit dataI need to go in mass production and I need to create the devEUI for each deviceHow I can create it?I see there is method to create the devEUI from a MAC address (that I have avaiable), but it's deprecatedThe method is use one MAC adding FF and FE on the 4th and 5th byte and turning to 1 the 7th bit of first byte. Is there other valid method to create the devEUI witout problem?
Hello, I want only to send some test values from my STM32WB to the computer, I didn't find any good examples (snd also and bad examples) on how to do it.My PC can detect Bluetooth networks from STM32WB
Hi, I'd like to understand how I can setup the semtech transceiver to work with 4-FSK modulation. I configured a project in cube mx but I have doubts on the bandwidth and datarate parameters.I know that my datarate is 9600 bps, then bandwidth and coderate are not cleear for me. Also, I'd like to use as middleware as possibile in this moment to have a clear understanding of what I am doing. Also, in our project we have a system relying on some other configurations, like the usage of whiteneing algorythms with pseud-random generators and I suspect the Semtech chip is able to handle it, but it is no clear how. Any hint or example to inspect? K.R.Luca.
