Hi,I am using two device that are connected one to another with BLE.The first device is a server. The second is a routeur.I detect some spurious disconnection between both device after some random time. The disconnection error I get is : HCI_CONNECTION_TIMEOUT_ERR_CODEDo you have any idea what could be the cause and how I could fix it?The server device writes sometimes into the flash, but it should write on the flash only during specific momentsThank you in advance
Hi friend,I want to extend the HS_STARTUP_TIME for BlueNRG-1. What is the maximum value of HS_STARTUP_TIME for BlueNRG-1? I saw the datasheet AN4494 it says that "XTAL_startup = XTAL_startup_measured*1.2*1.1*1.3 = 1.716*XTAL_startup_measured". So 1953uS--> HS_STARTUP_TIME = 1074. But I use BlueNRG-1 IFR tool calculate 1953uS--> HS_STARTUP_TIME = 800 (0x320). Which is correct? Can anyone guide me? Thank you in advance.Best wishesTed Wu
Hello all ,I am looking for this new development board schematic but I don't know where to find . Please let me know where I can download it. Many Thanks.
Hello, For a personal project, I am designing a device that receives GPS data and transmits the UTC time information to other devices over BLE. I will also be designing a device that receives the data and displays it. For this, I have chosen the STM32WB10 MCU. I think I have a surface-level knowledge of RF, but I couldn't understand this application schematic in AN5290, page 10: What I am confused about is the low pass filter at the end. Assuming I connect an antenna to the RF output, how would this device work in RX mode? Perhaps as a result to my inexperience with RF, the antenna being connected to the output of the LPF doesn't make sense to me. The same circuit is also showed in AN5165, page 13. Thank you in advance for the advice.
I've been working with the STM32WB55 microcontroller and have been trying to set up 4 bit trace functionality (ETM, not SWO) for debugging. I've connected the trace pins according to the datasheet and configured them in the STM32Cube software.Specifically, the trace GPIO's have been configured as alternative function pins as shown here: __HAL_RCC_GPIOC_CLK_ENABLE(); __HAL_RCC_GPIOD_CLK_ENABLE(); __HAL_RCC_GPIOE_CLK_ENABLE(); // 4. Initialize the speed for the Trace Clock and Trace Data signals GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = GPIO_MODE_AF_PP; GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = GPIO_NOPULL; GPIO_InitStruct.Speed = GPIO_SPEED_FREQ_VERY_HIGH; // 5. Begin the process of configuring the GPIO pins for trace functionality // TRACECLK GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = GPIO_PIN_2; GPIO_InitStruct.Alternate = GPIO_AF0_TRACECK; HAL_GPIO_Init(GPIOE, &GPIO_InitStruct); // 6. Repeat these configuration steps for each trace data pin // TRACED0 GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = GPIO_PIN_9; GPIO_InitStruct.Alternate =
I'd like to know if it is possible to cascade two LPTIM in order to make a 32-bit counter. I'm implementing my main LoRa application with the sequencer but I need to have 32-bit hardware counter running continously in the background to count external pulses. If it is not possible to use LPTIM's in this configuration, is there a way to configure TIM2 (a 32-bit timer) to keep running in low power mode? Thanks
I've modified basic HeartRate project to run an ADC inside of the task. However this results in adc always returning 0. Sometimes whole application hangs. However when CFG_LPM_SUPPORTED is set to 0. Everything works fine. I've already created github issiue and suposedly HAL is to blame. Any input would be helpfull.
Hello,I am working on a STM32WB55RG BLE Project and the problem is that about once in every 3 program that I upload, BLE doesn't work. After reupdating the BLE Stack firmware, it works correctly. I am using the BLE firmware v1.16.0.4. What could be the problem? Best Regards,Yusuf
Hi,I'm working on STM32WL55JC board and run "TIM_PWMOutput" example that run 4 PWM channels with diffrence pulse width.I'm trying to add deadtime between the channels (following this hands-on video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rDaC2N-33Oo Minute 5:34) But on my IDE I don't have deadtime option (adding picture)So I tried manually change deadtime during TIMInit() (via the line sBreakDeadTimeConfig.DeadTime = SomeDelay) but it doesn't work, the delta time between all channels remain the sameThanks!
I modified the LoRaWAN_End_Node sample program for measuring the external pulses input to the COMP1. I register a task in the sequencer and set up the timer in timer server. It is no problem to run a test task by just toggle the LED. When I initialize the lptim1 timer to count the external pulse, the program jump to the while(1) loop in Error_Handler. Checking by breakpoints, it is because the LPTIM_WaitForFlag function resulted HAL_TIMOUT. Below is the code of lptim1 initialization.void LPTIM1_Init(void){hlptim1.Instance = LPTIM1;hlptim1.Init.Clock.Source = LPTIM_CLOCKSOURCE_APBCLOCK_LPOSC;hlptim1.Init.Clock.Prescaler = LPTIM_PRESCALER_DIV1;hlptim1.Init.UltraLowPowerClock.Polarity = LPTIM_CLOCKPOLARITY_RISING;hlptim1.Init.UltraLowPowerClock.SampleTime = LPTIM_CLOCKSAMPLETIME_DIRECTTRANSITION;hlptim1.Init.Trigger.Source = LPTIM_TRIGSOURCE_6;hlptim1.Init.Trigger.ActiveEdge = LPTIM_ACTIVEEDGE_RISING;hlptim1.Init.Trigger.SampleTime = LPTIM_TRIGSAMPLETIME_DIRECTTRANSITION;hlptim1.Init.Outp

Hi Sirs, I've fiddled around Cable Replacement Example code (CRS for server). I successfully created a custom function to send a char string to the peripheral upon pushing SW1. Now my problem is when I made a new project, with an .oic file, created a custom service with read and write characteristics (write specifically my concern), then ported my custom function. When I debug my code, I was able to call the event by pressing the SW1, up to the code aci_gatt_update_char_value(), but nothing is showing on the terminal. Im sure this works on the Cable replacement code. I even copied the UUIDs of the service and characteristics of Cable replacement. but to no avail. Here is the initialization of my write service /** * CharW01 */ COPY_CHARW01_UUID(uuid.Char_UUID_128); ret = aci_gatt_add_char(CustomContext.CustomMysvcHdle, UUID_TYPE_128, &uuid, SizeCharw01, CHAR_PROP_READ | CHAR_PROP_WRITE_WITHOUT_RESP, ATTR_PERMISSION_NONE, GATT_NOTIFY_ATTRIBUTE_
Hello AllI have a cutom board. I am working on STM32WB55VGQ6(BGA129).2 crystals(32.768KHz, 38MHz) output waves are not coming.I checked waveform by using an oscilloscope and OSC-IN/OUT pins are ground level(0V)Voltage conditions all 3.3V : VDD, VDDUSB, VDDRF, VDDA, VDDSMPSCrystal part# : FW384WFIN1, AGS05-32.768KHZ-6TExpers please help me.
Hi,I'm working with stm32wb5mmgh to transmit data. The thing is BLE starts to advertise only in the debug mode if I upload it in the device its not showing. So what I did I turned on led when it starts to advertise as I mentioned in the below code. /* Update Advertising data */ ret = aci_gap_update_adv_data(sizeof(a_AdvData), (uint8_t*) a_AdvData); if (ret != BLE_STATUS_SUCCESS) { APP_DBG_MSG("==>> Start Fast Advertising Failed , result: %d \n\r", ret); } else { APP_DBG_MSG("==>> Success: Start Fast Advertising \n\r"); HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOA, GPIO_PIN_9, GPIO_PIN_SET); } The LED turned on after I uploaded the code but the BLE is not showing. Used FUS Version : v1.2.0.0, STACK Version : v1.16.0.4, stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_full_fw.bin. Also I change the linker Script as mentioned in this wiki link. I also share the linker script. /* ****************************************************************************** **
Hi Team, I am searching for STM32WBA52CGU6 circuit diagram unfortunately not able to found out because the file was not found in our ST website. Kindly help me to get the exact circuit for my project purpose.
Hi All,I'm using STM32WL55JC board which include Sub-GHz, ADC and DMA peripherals (and many more of course)I run "ping pong" example to create Sub-GHz communication sucssfully, also run "ADC_SingleConversion_TriggerTimer_DMA" and changed to circular mode (DMA) I saw buffer changing variables according to ADC result.I configured ADC and DMA at "ping pong" example exactly as they configured at ADC example, and start via HAL_ADC_Start_DMA() command the buffer result is written only once, then program start Sub_GHz routine of RX-TX and the buffer results stuck and doesn't change.what can be the reason?adding some pictures from ping-pong - ADC DMA configurationI'll appreciate your help!
My project need to synchronize the clock of our STM32WL device with TTN server. How can I use the function in LmhpClockSync.c to do the job ? I would be grateful if any expert can guide me to get it done.
Hello,I use B-L072Z-LRWAN1 and I would like to know how to use it in very low power consumption. By default on mbed OS 6 with one hand with only one ThisThread::sleep_for(3s) I have a consumption of 10.45mA. I take my measurements with an amperemeter in series with the battery box. According to this post (https://community.st.com/t5/wireless-mcu/excess-current-consumption-running-b-l072z-lrwan1-from-battery/td-p/322961/page/2) to reduce my consumption I removed SB18, R26, D2. For the code I tried this code (https://github.com/janjongboom/stm32-standby-rtc-wakeup/blob/master/stm32_standby.h) which puts me at a consumption of 4.00mA. I'm new to MCUs and I'd like to know how I can reach the uA in the code or by another hardwre modification. Thanks in advance for your reply :)
I'm using a STM32WLE5 processor in my design. I had an RF consultant tell me that I needed to add a SAW filter to the design to protect against potential interference with 800 MHz cell phone transmissions so I placed a B39921B3728U410 SAW filter at the RF input/output. Is this really necessary? I don't see any similar filter on the Semtech eval boards for the SX126x series. In addition, I lose 2.2-4 dB through the filter. Is it worth it or did my consultant give me bad advice?
Hi Team,Can I use this IPD Filter 0900FM15D0039E in the instead of the passives in the design fof STM32WLE5 MCU for RF (915 MHz).
Hellofriends, I am trying to make a dual core example on the Wio-E5 STM32WLE5JC Module. I made all the settings as in this video. However, only CM4 works when debugging. CM0PLUS is not working and I am getting this error Target unknown error 32Error in initializing ST-LINK device.Reason: Unknown. Please check power and cabling to target. I tried this on STM32Cube ide 1.7.0 and 1.8.0.
Hi,I have been trying to launch on a Nucleo WB55 board some default apps available in STM32CubeWB-1.14.0\Projects\P-NUCLEO-WB55.Nucleo\Applications\BLE with the latest version of the BLE_stack_full_extended. (e.g. BLE_HealthThermometer, BLE_Ota)But then the BLE seems to crash at startup and doesn't even advertise. If I just replace the co-proc image with the "_full" one instead of "_full_extended", then the example app is working fine.Any explanation on such a limitation?Thank you,Best regards.
Is there an example project of BLE Cable Replacement, similar of device STM32WB55 ?
Hi I am using STM32WB55 Nucleo board i have generated custom ble characteristics with maximum data size of 245 byte (value length = 245) and i am able to receive data from attribute_modified->Attr_Data buffer but i want to read the actual length of data received but currently i am not able to get that value and one more thing is before receiving new frame attribute_modified->Attr_Data buffer is not getting clear so if data length of current frame is less than previous in that case i am getting old frame data also. attribute_modified->Attr_Data buffer getting memory in SRAM2a section.so if anyone knows solution for this then please let me know. Thanks in advanceDinesh Bisen
