Hi,I configured LPUART with 57600 baudrate. With this baudrate configuration Rx interrupt stop working if I send more than 11 bytes of Data on UART. With the same configuration there is no issue in transmit. Also in receive if I send less than 10 bytes then it's working without an issue but if number of bytes increase RX interrupt stopped. Then I configured LPUART baudrate 9600 and in this case everything working as expected. So, Can you please let me know that LPUART can be work on 57600 baudrate or not? Also please share the configuration to make it work on 57600 baudrate. Thanks.
I have a custom pcb using a Seeed WIO-E5 module. I found a github repo that supports the WIO-E5. After downloading it and loading it onto my custom pcb my node joins the network and seems to work. I notice however that the setting in the .ioc file shows Can someone tell me if I should change this given I have a custom PCB?I then go in to adjust pinout to reflect my pcb and have found that changing io pins in the ioc makes the end node very susceptible to not wanting to join the network. I have not had much luck wrt adapting this firmware so as a follow up question:I have NOT found a good library or examples that support the STM32WLE5 (single core) anywhere on STMicro site. Can someone please tell me how to start from a blank STM32WLE5 as an end node? Are there libraries somewhere for this chip to download? (I see a ton of support for the STM32WL55 (dual core) but virtually nothing for the single core and SEEED only supports the custom FW t
Hi all.I have been working with STM32WB for over a year and now starting up to use zigbee.Been trying the examples and digging deep into the internet on how to send values from a STM32WB that acts an temperature sensor. Not much info on ST & zigbee.I can make it show up in the coordinator, but I have not been able to register it as a temperature sensor and send values. Most of the examples show how to handle OnOff toggle, and its not really clear on how to set it up to send values. Also to set up multiple values to be able to send multiple sensor types. If anyone have an example or just like to copy a few lines of how you did it, would help tremendous. Many big thanks beforehand // Mike
Hi , I am working with STM32WB55RG-NUCLEO board. I've managed to upload the BLE_Stack_Full_FW and then when I try the example codes for BLE on my board, I can see the BLE advertising on my ST BLE ToolBox.However, when I try to follow the ST's youtube videos and other tutorials for creating a new project by hand, I follow these steps below:Create a project for STM32WB55RG-NUCLEO board with or without the default settings and open IOC file.System Core -> Activate HSEMSystem Core -> Activate IPCC (with both interrupts active)System Core -> RCC -> HSE & LSE set to "Crystal/Ceramic Res."Timers -> RTC -> Activate Clock Source and set WakeUp to "Internal WakeUp" (with interrupt active)Connectivity -> RF -> Activate RF1Middleware and Software Packs -> STM32_WPAN -> Activate BLESTM32_WPAN -> BLE Applications and Services -> Custom Template enabled, others are disabledSTM32_WPAN -> BLE Advertising -> Include AD_TYPE_COMPLETE_LOCAL_NAME_ELEMENT
Hi all,The STM32WLE MCU's wireless part features two output pins, one for high power and another for low power. In the schematic diagram, both of these pins are linked to inductors: RFO_LP connects to L10, and RFO_HP connects to L9.It's worth noting that in the L9 position on the schematic, there is a 0-ohm resistor. After reviewing alternative schematic versions, such as the lowband variant, I observed that both pins are associated with inductors, but their part numbers correspond to 0-ohm resistors. Can someone clarify whether L9 should contain an inductor or a resistor, and if it's an inductor, what should its nominal value be?
I have successfully configuration P-NULCEO-WB55 as central(beacon observer) device using \STM32Cube_FW_WB_V1.4.0\Projects\P-NUCLEO-WB55.Nucleo\Applications\BLE\BLE_p2pClient example. ACI_GAP_START_GENERAL_DISCOVERY_PROC event ends after 10 seconds. Is there any way to reduce this 10 seconds time?
Hello,I'm trying to make the Zigbee_APS_Coord and Zigbee_APS_Router example work, but I'm facing an issue. When I try to reset the router, it takes 1 minute or sometimes more to reconnect. Does anyone have any idea? Here are the logs: 13 seconds after resetting the router, the coordinator displays:The coordinator :[0;92m[00000041.976][PLATFORM] nwk_handle_assoc : Association accepted, sending response (0x54ba, 0x0080e125005ebf63)<LF><CR> the router: Thank you,Best Regards,
I use the wl55 on the nucleo kit, with the ping pong exemple (one core but same with 2) in subghz_phy_app.h i change the define for #elif (( USE_MODEM_LORA == 0 ) && ( USE_MODEM_FSK == 1 ))#define FSK_FDEV 10000 /* Hz */#define FSK_DATARATE 10000 /* bps */#define FSK_BANDWIDTH 399000 /* Hz */#define FSK_PREAMBLE_LENGTH &n
I have used the Cube examples "Thread_FTD_Coap_Multicast" and "Thread_SED_Coap_FreeRTOS" and I was able to receive CoAP multicast from SED to the thread leader however I am not able to send messages to the SED in any way at all when I pressed SW1 on the Nucleo board. I also tried the Thread CLI as a leader with the following commands:panid 0x2222channel 12networkkey 00112233445566778899aabbccddeeffifconfig upthread startcoap startAnd I saw that the Thread CLI was in Leader state and SED was connected to the thread CLI but I was not getting any CoAP messages from SED and I was not able to send any messages to SED either through CoAP (GET, PUT, POST) (CON/NON-CON). I would appreciate any pointers on how to achieve the Leader->SED communication through CoAP, or if any modifications necessary as I am quite new to OT devel. Thanks in advance Some boilerplate info:STM32CubeIDE V1.13.2STM32CubeWB V1.17.3Thread SED:P-NucleoWB55 // STM32WB55RGM0 Copro FW: stm32wb5x_Th
Hello,I bought 2 NUCLEO-WL55JC1 to send and receive some data.I used example code in Lora which work very well (SubGHz_Phy_PingPong).My problem is to use VHF (156.8750Hz).I modify the code (RF_FREQUENCY, FSK_FDEV, FSK_DATARATE, FSK_BANDWIDTH, USE_MODEM_LORA = 0 and USE_MODEM_FSK = 1).I change my antenna for a DELTA12/x/SMAM/S/S/17 for my 2 nucleo. The 2 boards still communicate. Now, I also have to change the hardware according to the Application note AN5457.Unfortunately, there is no information to change my hardware (only for L6 (160 nH) but nothing for the equivalent circuit). Anyone knows which value I can attribuate for each component of the network (figure 26) in order to optimize the consumtion and the power of my 2 boards?Thank you,
Hi all,I want to send loads of data to a client whenever it enables notification for that service. What I have now is that I can catch the En/disable of the characteristic notification and start a task on it using the sequencer. However as long as the task is running, all the received requests aren't executed until the transmission task is completed. Causing data to get lost. How do I properly yield the task for received BLE requests to be executed? Steps executed by code:void TransmitDataTask() { while (notify == enabled) { Read 1 data entry chop data into packages send packages using aci_gatt_update_char_value // TODO: Check for incomming ble requests/yield task ?? } } void IDataNotifyEnabled() { notify = enabled set TransmitDataTask using UTIL_SEQ_SetTask } void IDataNotifyDisabled() { notify = disabled // will terminate the task }Kind regards,Taxara
I am trying to implement the OTA feature of the WB55 into my own app. However, the OTA Update is only successful if every packet is exactly 20 Bytes. I tried doing OTA with the BLE Sensor App and that one is much faster, I suppose the App sends somewhere between 200 and 250 Bytes (probably 240) for every packet. I am using the p2p example firmware.
Hello, I have a question about OTA in the stm32wb series.I'm testing to add the OTA function to the board I'm developing. After full erase of MCU, I succeeded in downloading application bin file to MCU with STBLE Toolbox application.Afterwards, to update another bin file, I sent 01 07 FF to the application service and tried to download another bin file by entering OTA application mode. However, when entering OTA application mode, it was confirmed through debugging that it enter low power mode and did not operate normally, and entered low power mode while the shci_send function was operating inside the APP_BLE_Init function.I don't know why this is happening.I have modified the linker file, checked the magic keyword, and modified SCR->VTOR, but do I need to more modify other sources? If there's anything you need to check, I'll capture it and upload it right away.
Hi all,Looking to implement FOTA on a custom board which uses the STM32WB55M module. I understand the principles of the FOTA solution and the services/characteristics and have looked over the relevant app note, but I have a couple of questions about how precisely to actually implement the solution.1. Would installing both the OTA application and the user application be a matter of compiling each (OTA app with a linker script specifying a start address of 0x08000000 and the user app at (IIRC) 0x08007000) separately and then loading each binary separately at the respective addresses?2. For custom boards, is it typical to just use the OTA application given in the STM32CubeWB software package (with some slight modifications to, for example, the BSP functions which control Nucleo LEDs)?In other words, what I *think* is the procedure, given that I currently have a custom board with a user application:Modify user app linker script to start at an address beyond where the OTA app will endTake t
Hi,What error on HSE frequency is acceptable by STM32WB35? More than 1 kHz can disturb connection process (its interrupted or it's slow than usual on some phones) or can cause unexpected disconnection? Does this affect the range of the advertisement ?Best, msemegen
Hello!I am trying to run the BLE_TransparentMode example https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeWB/tree/master/Projects/STM32WB5MM-DK/Applications/BLE/BLE_TransparentMode/STM32CubeIDE I have opened the project in STM32CubeIDE and try to compile,I get errors that the stm32wbxx.hfile is missing, which is true, its not there. I have searched the whole STM32CubeWB github directory for this file but its not there, although there is a folder STM32WBxx at STM32CubeWB-master\Drivers\CMSIS\Device\STbut that folder is empty. Am I missing something?
I need 1.5 MSPS speed for my array device having 1536 pixels. I saw that the STM32WB55VGY6TR microcontroller operates its ADC at a maximum speed of 4.26 MSPS in the manual. So, my question is, if I activate 16 channels (the maximum number of channels of this microcontroller), what would be the maximum MSPS? It should be 4.26/16 MSPS? or same?
Hello everyone,We are a group of students working on the development of flight control and communication software as part of a space program. Our project is based on the STM32Wl55 MCU with LoRa and FreeRTOS. Currently, we are transitioning our software from the development phase to production. During this phase, we observed that while FreeRTOS and SubGHz can be activated in CubeMX, we are encountering several issues. CubeMX does not automatically set up the include paths. When we attempt to configure them manually, we face hardware-related problems. I suspect these challenges arise from the concurrent usage of the sequencer with FreeRTOS, which might not be supported. Is there a way to utilize the code generated by CubeMX, but transition from using the sequencer to employing FreeRTOS? Your assistance is invaluable, as the success of our project hinges on resolving this issue.Warm regards, Fabian@JonasQ
Using the STM32WB55 SoC we are wondering, if it is possible to protect the shared RAM and FLASH memory from unintended access by CPU2 (the BLE and security dedicated M0+ core). As a minimum requirement we would need to be able to detect such violation due to safety constraints. There are some protection means in place in the other direction to protect CPU2 from CPU1 or the MPU just for CPU1. However, we'd also need to segregate / protect our user application from the ST wireless application as good as possible. Your advice is appreciated.
Hello, I want to increase the data packet length up to 512, is there a way to extend it? please suggest some solution!
Flash on the STM32WB1M is supposed to be 320K long, as advertised as well as in the ref manual RM0473 and in the Memory Manager in CubeMx. But the default linker script out of CubeMx only gives 110K flash section length. If I try to put an emulated EEPROM section at the last couple of pages (yes, incl. modifying the linker script), say 0x0804E000, I get a hard fault when trying to read that address. Same if I try to read that address from STM32CubeProgrammer. It turns out I can only read (from STM32CubeProg or emulated EEPROM usage) to approximately the 110K past 0x08000000. I could read a page or two starting at 0x08020000 and beyond that I got errrors. Am I missing something here? It's as if addresses beyond about 110-112K in flash are invalid...
Is there a universal PCB for the stm32wb55mmg module? How to use the stm32wb55mmg module without BGA soldering?
We have the following use case: - H5 MCU runs FreeRtos and communicates with the STM32WB5 chip via UART;- We want to be able to download the SW into the CM4 and CM0 memory regions. What is the simplest way to update the stack and user app via UART?Thank you!
Hi everyone I am developing the Software for a low-power application with energy harvesting. Thus, the energy requirements are extreme and we have to save as much as possible. Currently, we are looking at the time Between Tx and R1 and R2 windows. How is it possible to reduce the energy consumption? Between sending packages I go into the stopmode which reduces the energy consumption greatly. I was thinking about using this too. Set the timer to wake up shortly before the R1 window and do the same between R1 and R2. But this feels like a hack. What is the STM intended way to reduce energy consumption? It doesn't have to be as low as stop mode. But if I get it down to about 100uA it would be amazing! Down below you see my latest measurement. You see the first spike which is TX and the two smaller spikes which are the R1 and R2 windows. Before I finally go back to stop mode I stay currently awake (testing/debugging / monitoring things ) &nbs
Hello, I uploaded BLE_OTA firmware in 0x08000000 and BLE_heartrate_ota in 0x08007000 and I want to update the new firmware through OTA, I don't know the data structure to write in reboot characteristic, anyone help meAlso for base address, raw data and finished.
