I'm not sure if this has been a topic before (if it has feel free to delete / merge this)..I'm starting to get the hang of using the Designer now. A few things that could be really nice:Option to select which project types to compileReason: I'm most likely never going to use either KEIL or IAR for my development. If I could disable the code generation for those I would have fewer files and folder to maintain. I know that the actual code generated is located elsewhere but still - fewer folders to not look through searching for code :)Option to disable the code generation for the SimulatorReason: Currently some of the issues with generating a CubeIDE project comes with the Simulator files being included. If they weren't there could we solve some of those issues? When selecting application template there's different versions available. for the F746-Disco board there is a 1.0.0 and a 2.0.0 (or something along those lines). Selecting the newest by default could be great. Also - How do I chec
Hi,Another member of our team is working on hardware layout and is using CubeMX as a resource for configuring IO. They are having problems with CubeMX as it is not showing that you can load the STM32H750B-DK into the layout view. This would be helpful for use in designing our custom layout. Any ideas as to why this might be?-Thank you.
I am trying to use the generated GCC make file (For target) in a Linux. I confirmed the project works when using it on windows through the TouchGFX.exe environment but it isn't wanting to cooperate in Linux? I am getting errors where if I run it as a regular user it doesn't have permissions to remove files but if I try to run it as a super user it doesn't recognize arm-none-eabi-gcc or g++. Just wanted to check if it is expected to work as is? If so, I know that I am doing something wrong and can look down that avenue. Thanks,Carter
I'm banging my head against this one. Initially I chose the W25Q128JV because it seemed like a suitable match for TouchGFX applications but it seems that the register layout is quite different from the (discontinued) Mircon part that is on the F746 board.I've read somewhere that the Micron parts have better support but is there anyone out there that have had any luck with a custom board with QSPI flash implementation?ANY help will be much appreciated!
I want to implement Remote Display of TouchGFX screen through web server. Is this possible like VNC? How can I implement if possible?
Hi together,I have a tinker board with a STM32F405RG (1024kB Flash 192kB SRAM, no FMC, no DMA2D) and an EADOGXL Display (SPI, 240x128, 4bit Grey). As of now i've only played with the 'baremetal' data and command to the display.I am wondering what the actual hw requirements for a custom board in touchgfx are.Is the DMA2D (ChromART) required? It says so in the Getting started with cubemx https://touchgfx.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360020001492-Getting-Started-with-CubeMX-and-TouchGFXI plan to use a single (or double) frambuffer in internal Memory, as it is a greyscale display with a not to high resolution it should be 240*128*4bit = 15kB of SRAM.Am I missing something else? Btw is there any full toturial on how to create your own target/board from scratch? Thanks in advance
Hi Martin,Congratulations for the new release!I'm trying to port an 4.9.3 project to 4.12.3 and I got some undefined reference error when compile with CubeIDE 1.1, is there a porting guidelines somewhere?Do you see any thing in the list that might help me to resolve it?BTW, the simulation under visual studio built with no error and runs OK.Thanks,Eyalundefined reference to `touchgfx::Circle::getMinimalRectForUpdatedEndAngle(touchgfx::CWRUtil::Q5 const&) const' Circle.hpp undefined reference to `touchgfx::ConstFont::ConstFont(touchgfx::GlyphNode const*, unsigned short, unsigned short, unsigned char, unsigned char, unsigned char, unsigned char, unsigned char, unsigned short, unsigned short)' GeneratedFont.cppundefined reference to `touchgfx::LCD::drawString(touchgfx::Rect, touchgfx::Rect const&, touchgfx::LCD::StringVisuals const&, unsigned short const*, ...)' Is there feature to scale images in TouchGFX designer? I don't mean scaleable image widget that will be rendered on the MCU, I mean that the Designer tool can scale image and pre-render them to new size. Then all the heavy lifting of scaling is done on PC.It is very useful to scale images in the Designer, for prototyping purposes, but use static image on the MCU for better performance. Otherwise I need to use image editor -> scale -> import -> repeat. Also, add "lock proportions when scaling" feature too.P.S. I love the tool! I evaluated 5-10 embedded GUI designers and TouchGFX is simply the best.
Dears, I'm a newbie to the stm32 & touchgfx. Is there anyone who has experienced in initializing environment with cubemx & STM32H743?I couldn't find any graphics options for STM32H series at the cubemx 5.4.0 and any reference in this site. Any help would be really appreciated!
is there some solution to choose?easy to store video data , and detect fatigue
I want to try to make pattern password screen used in this video. Does this project have a accessible source code or document to get sample?https://youtu.be/FzBZeZQOG_k?t=183

How can i use TrueType font engine (dynamic to display different language in different size in TouchGFX ? thanks
The HAL hides so much functionality of the DMA2D IP block that I can't work this one out and the reference manual doesn't help much either!Writing a block of memory (e.g. bitmap file) to display memory window uses output offset to define the top left corner and width and height (in NLR) to stay within the window.I'd like to read from a window in the display memory to create an image backing store (I have a lot of changing images). The input offset will put me at the top left corner of the window as my source address but I can't work out if the width/height in the NLR register are applied to the input pointer advance on each line of the window scan or if it is only used on the output (destination) side.
I am working with the new CubeIDE and touchGFX. I try to do the Tutorial 2 (https://touchgfx.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/205443722-Step-1-Setting-a-background-Image). Always when i insert the given images to my GUI, the screen on my board remains in static white noise. When i build the project with the given tools (just a black background and blue buttons) everything is working fine. Du you habe any suggestions what am i doing wrong?!
When I try to create a project for a Discovery Kit or open the online application in TouchGFX Designer, the "Downloading Application Template" and "Downloading GUI" slowly reach 100% and then this error screen is displayed:/*Sorry - something unexpected has happened which caused an error to occur in the Designer. For more information, see the log file located at: C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\TouchGFX-4.12.3\TouchGFXDesigner.logPlease consider reporting this bug and steps to reproduce it at the TouchGFX Help Center so it can be fixed in a future version. You can find the Help Center here: http://support.touchgfx.comError: Värde får inte vara null.Parameternamn: stream*/It appears to give the same error whichever board I choose and any Demo template. Same for both My Applications and Online Applications.Looking in the referenced log file I find this:[1] ERROR TouchGFXDesigner.App: Värde får inte vara null.Parameternamn: streamSystem.ArgumentNullException: Värde får inte vara null.Paramete
I have tried to get CubeIDE and TouchGFX working on an STM32F769I-DISCO board by following this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VOs2LYO7wSA&feature=youtu.be. The code compiles fine. Upon flashing the board with the code, the screen gets black and non-responsive. Please help.
.I want to drive it directly with stm32f469 LTDC . I do not want to put a display controller like SSD1963 or ILI9341 between TFT and the mcu. Is it possible ? If possible , What is weak points of such design ?
hi , i tried to interface TFT display 800X480 with stm32f401re. TFT display interface with SSD1963.now the thing is that display does not showing anything . i dont know the problem with initialization process or else.the pin mainly used RS#, CS#.WR#, RST, RD# and 0-15 data pin . please go through the below pragamm suggest me where i am wrong . for initialization process of PIN i used STMcubeMX.void Write_Command(unsigned char command) { HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOC, GPIO_CS_Pin, 0); HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOC, GPIO_RD_Pin, 1); /* make sure the RD is HIGH just to be sure */ HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOC, GPIO_RS_Pin, 0); HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOC, GPIO_WR_Pin, 0); HAL_Delay(1); GPIOA->ODR = command; HAL_Delay(1); HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOC, GPIO_WR_Pin, 1); HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOC, GPIO_CS_Pin, 1); } void Write_Data(unsigned char Data) { HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOC, GPIO_CS_Pin, 0); HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOC, GPIO_RD_Pin, 1); /* make sure the RD is HIGH just to be sur
I'm using an stm32f769 on an ARGB8888 system.I'm creating a bitmap image in RAM from a JPEG using the hardware decoder. This is decode process does NOT set the alpha byte to 0xff so the GUI_DrawBitmap function using the GUI_DRAW_BMP8888 method doesn't display anything (its all transparent). How do I force STemWin to ignore the alpha channel (or lack of it) so that my image displays. I've tried GUI_SetAlpha() and GUI_EnableAlpha () in various combinations but to no effect.
I have several errors while generating my code. A few errors i am able to solve with excluding the simulator files from my project. But now i have a new error with an undifened reference. ../TouchGFX/generated/fonts/src/GeneratedFont.cpp:12: undefined reference to `touchgfx::ConstFont::ConstFontDo you have any workaround for me to solve this error? EDIT: I found in the CubeMX file the expected version 4.10 .Maybe this could be a problem by generating the code?!
I tried to create a project with the new versions of cubeide and touchgfx. After disabling the watchdogs and SDMMC2, and programming with the st-link utility, it ran in the debugger. The output isn't what I created in touchgfx.I noticed that this line wasn't present in the linker file so I added it. Nothing changed.QUADSPI (r) : ORIGIN = 0x90000000, LENGTH = 64MThanks for any suggestions.
Hi @Martin KJELDSEN !I'm working on a slider and I have two questions for you. =)Is there a way to get the position of the indicator in a slider? I am showing the value of the slider in a textarea above the slider. I want to move the text if the indicator is moving. I would like to do something like this: sliderValueText.moveTo(sliderBar.getIndicatorX(), SLIDER_TEXT_POS_Y);I think I've found a bug. When doing an interaction in the designer that is supposed to move a widget when slider value is changed it generates a comment in code://Interaction1//When slider1 value changed move sliderValueText//Set position x:71 and y:71 on sliderValueTextsliderValueText.moveTo(281,71); But as you can see, the comment is not correct the x-position should be 281 and not 71. Just a minor thing I came across while testing in the designer. Superthankful as always for help!
Hi,I've been looking into the STM32373C-EVAL and the STM32CubeF3 since I need to build a prototype that includes RTOS and HDMI output. The board includes a LCD display and 2 HDMI outputs. The STM32CubeF3 includes some FreeRTOS examples and some LCD examples. But I couldn't find examples for HDMI.Is the HDMI mirrored from the LCD? Do I need a different code? Will I face some problems running the RTOS and the HDMI together? Is there a better board that I can use to achieve this? Is TouchGFX something that would work with RTOS and HDMI? Where could I find some sample codes for HDMI?I am making a lot of research before buying a board.
We have discovered that it seems that TouchGfx library functions like "InternalFlashFont::getPixelData" accesses the packed (2 Bytes) text ressources with a unpacked (4 Bytes) access. This ends up in an misaligned HardFault. What goes wrong here?
