I have setup the pins in STM32CubeMX - the diplay is mono and is only using LTDC_G0-G7I can not get CubeMX to give me a LTDC choices that is not DSI - my LCD is parallel. Is there some trick to getting CubeMX to be happy with this ?
Hello,Thanks for TouchGFX! I have the following question:In a screen I have a swipePageContainer and in that I have a scrollList. The scrollList items are custom containers called listItemContainer. I would like to be able to change the background border color when that item is selected. I've setup the callbacks for item selection and they work. My handlers look like this:void settingsScreenView::portListItemSelectedHandler(int16_t itemSelected) { int16_t currentIndex = presenter->getPortSelection(); portSelectListListItems[currentIndex].setDeselected(); portSelectListListItems[itemSelected].setSelected(); presenter->setPortSelection(itemSelected); }I'm updating the presenter which knows which is the currently selected item in the list and changing the color in the setSelected/setDeselected methods. This works on the lists where the number of items fit into the view. For longer lists, this code ends up selecting every nth item where n is the number that fit into
With CubeMX 5.4 TouchGFX 4.12.3I create a project from scratch on 32F746DISCO.Generate code for IAR 8.32And I have an linking error :Error[Li005]: no definition for "MX_FREERTOS_Init()" [referenced from .......Is it a bug or I miss something ?
When I use CubeMX 5.0.0 to configure a TouchGFX project, CubeMX appears to configure the peripherals correctly if I select "Yes" when CubeMX asks "Initialize all peripherals with their default mode". However I do not want to do this as it initializes too many peripherals. If I select "No" I have not been able to figure out how to configure the peripherals to enable Graphics. I have noticed that there is a very brief summary when I hover my mouse over Graphics but this does not provide sufficient help. Could you provide guidance on how to properly configure the required peripherals?Thank you for providing CubeMX and for purchasing the best GUI software...TouchGFX.
Whether the ToughGFX can be run on the bluetooth SOC STM32WB series MCU? If can where can I find an example? Thanks and best regards.
i tried STemWin with cubemx and stm32f746g-disco boardi want to know how to use stemwin library file without CUBEMX
I made a simple project with slider and wildcard. Why do I have a "?" instead of the value, even with wildcard range with 0-9Any idea ?

Dear all,I am using the STM32F746G-DISCOVERY kit. I have successfully implemented my application. My problem is that on "Power up" the first screen shown for less than a second is random data (which looks like rubbish) coming from the memory. On "Reset" the init screen for less than a second again is the last screen before reset. How can I eliminate this problem?Thank you in advance
Hello! In TOuchGFX setup I see error - number of layers. What is wrong?
I displayed only colors and images already, but i would like to know how to use the touch function or which library could be necessary.
Hi,For LCD interfacing, is there any reason to use 8080 over LTDC, than to save GPIO pins?Previously I have understood 8080 is better in power consumption than RGB, because the display is not constantly needed to refreshed. But how does LTDC fix this? It uses RGB also, so does it actually get lower power consumption than 8080 interface?https://www.st.com/content/ccc/resource/technical/document/application_note/group0/25/ca/f9/b4/ae/fc/4e/1e/DM00287603/files/DM00287603.pdf/jcr:content/translations/en.DM00287603.pdf"FTDC: Ideal for low power and mobile applications such as smartwatches."Thanks.
Hi Guys,I am still under installation problem (https://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X0000B34UEuSQM/touchgfx-4100-installation-problem-out-of-disk-space). I tried to the most release but got the same result.I thought this problem cames from network drivers and I removed my network connection. However, the issue is still on "C: drive"Please find attached and there is 177GB available and required memory is just 1298MB. But installer says not enough memory.I am pretty sure that the installer recognizes the difference between GB and MB. But 100% sure. 177 < 1298!Could you someone help me resolve this problem? for a long time, I have been suffering under this issue. Thanks in advance.Chris.
Hello,I have project currently running in the simulator only. One screen consists of a swipe container with several pages, in the swipe container is a scroll list. I've created a custom container for the scroll list and one of those widgets is textArea. The text area contains one wild card. I've unchecked Auto-size for the text area, set the text as <v>, selected Wildcard 1 as single use, checked Use WIldcard Buffer and set an initial value. In Typographies, I've set the Wildcard Ranges for that typography as 0x20-0x7E. I use the following code in my screenView.cppvoid settingsScreenView::portSelectListUpdateItem(listItemContainer& item, int16_t itemIndex) { uint16_t buffer[32]; uint8_t size = 32; if(itemIndex >= 0 && itemIndex < PORT_MAX) { presenter->getPortString(itemIndex, buffer, size); } else { Unicode::snprintf(buffer, size, "STRING_ERROR"); } touchgfx_printf("buffer: %s, size: %d, itemIndex: %d\n", buffer, size, itemIndex);
Hello! In TOuchGFX setup I see error - number of layers. Why?
i interfaced STM32 LTDC (24 bit RGB), Hsync,Vsync and DE input to lvds transmitter ,the input data to LTDC is giving from sd card ,but how do i convert sdcard data to RGB pixel format
I follow the website https://touchgfx.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360024979552-Using-Binary-Fonts-and-the-Font-Cache. But i can not create any binary fonts. The app.mk is like that :# Relative location of the TouchGFX framework from root of applicationtouchgfx_path := ../../Middlewares/ST/TouchGFX/touchgfx# Optional additional compiler flagsuser_cflags := -DUSE_BPP=16# Settings for image converter output formatalpha_dither := yes# Dither algorithms: 0 (no dither), 1 (Floyd-Steinberg), 2 (Jarvis, Judice and Ninke), 3 (Stucki)dither_algorithm := 2opaque_image_format := RGB565non_opaque_image_format := ARGB8888# Settings for image converter screen orientation (empty string =# default value, -rotate90 rotates the image 90 degrees)screen_orientation :=# Settings for Hardware accelerated text rendering on STM32F4 and F7# devices. hi, i am trying to do project with STM32H743ZIT chip and STM32CUBEMX program to generate code.there is no option for touchGFX of STM32H743ZIT in STM32CUBEMX i made STM32H743ZIT code from STM32CUBEMX and touchGFX code from touchGFX designer.can you explain how to integrate two project files step by step?
Hello all, I am extremely new, especially to STM32 development. I'm trying to develop with the STM32 NUCLEO-F439ZI board. There issues regarding initializing and getting started with Nucleo board. I want to be able to print solid colors on a 480x272 TFT that uses 24 bit RGB interface.I think I have initialized the LTDC API but unsure how to initialize the frame-buffer and print colors on the TFT.The data sheet for the TFT I am using if needed: http://www.newhavendisplay.com/specs/NHD-4.3-480272EF-ASXV-CTP.pdfAny help is appreciated. Even pointing me to a web-page that can give me direction would be appreciated. Thank you in advance!
Hi,I have interfaced JHD162 16*2 LCD with Stm32. // This lines are to be displayed on my LCD. But only one line is displaying //when I comment either of the lines. But both lines are not displaying at a time. Disp_Data(1,0, (unsigned char *)" LCD Interface "); Disp_Data(2,0, (unsigned char *)"STM32 Discovery "); Please let me know.
I appreciate the new Shape widget in TouchGFX 4.12.3, but noticed something strange.I created a shape and copy/pasted it on the screen. I want to have two shapes but one being essentially a mirror image of the original. When I change one of the X coordinates of the duplicate to be in the opposite direction of the original (same value but "-"), the X coordinate of the original also changes to a negative value. Why is it behaving like this? Aren't these two individual shapes different instances of the Shape class?I was hoping to simply duplicate the original shape and edit it rather than having to create a whole new shape and manually enter the points.
Yesterday I tried to study integration between CubeIde and TouchGFX wit a STM32F746G-Disco.After reading some tutorials, I made my first program. At first, all appeared OK (program was compiled and downloaded) but touch screen didn't work.So I used a ready-made program (TouchGFX_Simulator) that, after CubeMX compiled, works great. But when I opened "TouchGFX_Simulator.touchgfx" by TouchGFX, a message advised me that I had to rework it by my TouchGFX version (4.12.3) :"The project you are trying to open is version 4.10.0, but your TouchGFX Designer is version 4.12.3. Do you wish to update the project? Please make sure to back up your project before updating . The update procedure requires internet connection and might run for several minutes."After the conversion and no other changes, the program failed compiling (missing ".h") and after repairing, the touch screen doesn't work anymore (even if no errors were encountered )...Any ideas?Thank!
When debugging on GFX Designer , the display in the start shows up with some errors but when I press the display button it stars working as shown on the simulator.after generating the code and moving to IAR, the following warnings were displayed:The controller shows an inconstant behavior:
I have a status bar on all screens. My current solution (A) is the use of one screen, one status bar and many containers which are used instead of screens. Using this method, I have to move the container which I want to edit on top in the designer. Change of screen is done with the older version of a swipecontainer. The same status bar is always active and I have only one presenter as the presenter is tight to a screen. As far as I know it is not possilbe to use one status bar on several screens, is this true? Therefore the alternative solution (B) with screens is the following. Make the custom bar as a custom widget. Place this custom widget on every screen. Which method would you prefer, A or B?In A all the widgets are loaded in the memory and the pseudo screens alias containers are hidden below the front container (if I do not avoid it for invisible containers). The presenter updates all the containers and if one container comes to the front, it is already actual. In B, the screen i
I could derive a new container from the swipeContainer, but different from older touchGFX the swipeContainer is now a member of the generated ViewBase.I would try to solve it like described below, but is there an easier way?Proposed solution:Inherit MySwipeContainer from SwipeContainerAt Runtime remove the SwipeContainer from the ViewAdd the MySwipeContainer to the View (at runtime)
