Hi! I programed my usual code to the newer batch of STM324F69 Discovery but the touch capability of the screen is not responding. Out of the box the example program works fine, but when i Program the button example the touch doesnt works. This same buton example on an older STM32F469 Discovery works fine.
Does TouchGFX support the "STM32H745I_DISCO" development board?I tried to build the "STM32H745I_DISCO" project in the latest version STM32Cube V5.6.0, but I couldn't choose TouchGFX as my graphics system. But if I choose other boards, such as ST32F746G_DISCO or STM32H750B_Discovery, I can use TouchGFX. Does TouchGFX not support "STM32H745I_DISCO" development board? Or am I setting something wrong?
I am currently working on a custom STM32h743xx board with a small (128x64) monochrome OLED screen that uses the SSD1309 SPI driver for communication. This setup is very simple but vastly different from the setup of most examples. From my understanding I have to provide touchgfx_generic_init with a touchgfx::NoTouch object to ignore touch. About the DMA interface, is that used totransmit the internal buffer to the memory mapped display? In that case should I also use touchgfx::NoDMA since I am sending the memory buffer with SPI? Lastly is there any good HAL interface that I can use as a base? Should I just inherit from touchgfx::HAL and only support the flushFrameBuffer (since no tft controller & dma -> no interrupts)? If so, should I simply send via SPI the buffer which was supplied to HAL::setBufferStartAddress ?
Hi,I´m playing around a little bit and tried to set up a transition, as i did in TGFX 4.12... Just a very simple GUI with 1 Button on each of the 2 pages. Button on page 1 changes to page 2 and vice versa, nothing complicated. Transition is set up as "Slide" with direction "east" (tried other directions, no changes...).In Simulator, everything works fine, sliding screens are clearly visible... But when it comes to the target (F746 Discovery, App Template was 3.0.0, UI template was "Blank UI" V2.0.0), it doesn´t work correctly anymore. I think, i can see a "slide" within around 0.05 Seconds, but of course that´s not the effect, it should be ;)In TGFX 4.12 i did this many times without problems, but since 4.13 and CubeIDE 1.3, some basic "things" seem to be broken.btw: Timing settings seem to be correct. I tried the "Fade widget" Interaction and it ran quite fine within the specified time (3000ms -> 3 seconds).../Charly
Hi, I'm building a program which has a part that is similar to the "Flex Button Example".In my case I've got a problem with Unicode. My program works the same as the image above. When I reach to number 24, 26, 28, 29, this is what it shows:This is my code:touchgfx::TextAreaWithOneWildcard texto; touchgfx::Unicode::UnicodeChar* memoria; int tama; IP_AdressView::IP_AdressView() { } void IP_AdressView::adress1_button_pressed() { adress1_button.setBoxWithBorderColors(touchgfx::Color::getColorFrom24BitRGB(169, 172, 173), touchgfx::Color::getColorFrom24BitRGB(169, 172, 173), touchgfx::Color::getColorFrom24BitRGB(0, 0, 0), touchgfx::Color::getColorFrom24BitRGB(0, 0, 0)); texto = adress1; memoria = adress1Buffer; tama = ADRESS1_SIZE; buttonUppressed(); buttonDownpressed(); } void IP_AdressView::buttonUppressed() { int tmpVal = Unicode::atoi(texto.getWildcard()); if (tmpVal >= 0) { tmpVal++; Unicode::snprintf(memoria, tama, "%d", tmpVal); texto.invalid
Hello.I want to know how SDRAM is used in TouchGFX. Where can I find information?Does SDRAM have an address to access?I would like to check the operation of SDRAM. How should I check the read / write?Thank you.
Why does the LIST APPEARANCE property of the scrollWheel control run incorrectly when set to Circular?When I run TouchGFX's "Scroll Wheel and List Example", if the LIST APPEARANCE property of the scrollWheel control is set to Circular,When I slide the data to the left or right, and then quickly swipe, the system prompts an error. I check the source file and find that it is the parameter itemSelected = -1 of the function "scrollWheelAnimateToHandler (int16_t itemSelected)",-1 is incorrect data, which causes the program to be abnormal. If the LIST APPEARANCE property of the scrollWheel control is not set to Circular, the program runs normally.I refer to this example, I have made a scrollWheel control, but I need to set the LIST APPEARANCE property to Circular, but itemSelected = -1 causes my program to not run properly. What should I do?// The callback updates the selected Val on the itemSelected parametervoid Screen1View :: scrollWheelAnimateToHandler (int16_t itemSelected){ // I added
Where is the "Configuring-STM32F746G-DISCO" page? I used to see this topic in the help center, but now I can't find it. The previous URL was "https://touchgfx.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360019884752-Configuring-STM32F746G-DISCO". Now this link can't be opened, and I can't search for this topic, Where does this topic go? Was it deleted? Is there an alternative theme?https://touchgfx.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360019884752-Configuring-STM32F746G-DISCO
Hello....Am currently working on STM32L4R9AI-EVAL board and i have so many doubts about frame buffering....1.when we have to use single frame buffer,when we use double frame buffer,and partial frame buffers and rendering time is less for single buffer or double.....2.Can we access the frame buffer,if it is yes and how to do that i need a procedure to do that because i don't know anything about it....3.Do the touchgfx supports vertical swipe and how to enable it...Thank you in advance
Can we add digital clock to custom container,? I have to display time on all the screens.I added digital clock to Custom Container but not getting how to write and where to write logic for timer (in custom container have to write timer logic or on respective screens have to write)
why does cubemx V5.5 remove STemwin and TouchGFX part, will it move back? how can I use this part conveniently?
Hello,I am trying to create a text file after clicking on a button through a virtual function. Has anyone ever done that? The goal is to save some information entered by the user in a text file and to display it in the UI and access this text file later on through another program to read what has been entered in touchgfx. ThanksThe code written to create the file (function is called when we click on the button ZSave):void PositionScreenView::ZSaveButtonClicked() { fstream test; test.open("C:/TouchGFXProjects/UIV1/test.txt",ios::in | ios::out); test << "Hello"<<endl; if (test.is_open()){ touchgfx_printf("file is open"); } test.close();}
I want to use container as Drawable*, so I can use methods like moveTo() etc. to move the container around.I have my container in View, which is selectorboxContainer, which inherits from selectorboxContainerBase, which inherits from touchgfx::Container, which inheirts from Drawable.I can get Drawable* to this object using this method:Drawable* selectorbox = getFirstChild();But I cannot do it like this:Drawable* selectorbox = (Drawable*) selectorBox1;I get error: error: invalid cast from type 'selectorboxContainer' to type 'touchgfx::Drawable*'Why getFirstChild() can cast my container to Drawable*, but I cannot do it by casting?I don't want to use getFirstChild(), because it blindly picks Drawable based on order, instead of the drawable name. If someone reorders drawables, it will break the application.
Hellois it possible to set 2 fonts for a text, for exemple i have following text that must be i the middle of the screen: <value>%I want value wildcard to be in 17px and % char in 20px, is it possible ?If it is not possible, i have to use 2 text areas;How can i center these 2 text areas (how an i calculate the length...) ?Thank for any supportBest regards
Can we assign to any of the gpio for driving lcd? Does ST provide any driver for 8 bit lcd interface?
I have an additional FreeRTOS task running. All the task does at the moment is call xQueueReceive. Adding this call affects the GUI task such that it stops running after some time (not immediately). Nowhere in the code is sending messages to the queue. The exact line of code is like this:if (xQueueReceive(queue, &msg, 1) == pdTRUE) {}I'm using TouchGFX 4.9.3 and FreeRTOS 8.2.0I can provide more information if needed.I appreciate any help. Thank you
Hi, I'm not sure if it's documented anywhere , I haven't seen it. In the In the STM32H757I-EVAL the JTAG and the DSI are not compatible because they share PA15.
Hi,How to port the LCD screen of FMC interface to TouchGFX? Is there any instruction manual?
I read in the release notes for TouchGFX 4.12.0 that "A custom container can now be nested within another custom container. This enables composing custom components into larger custom components indefinitely". I am running 4.12.3 but I can't seem to get the nesting to happen in the designer. If I take one existing custom container and drag it into another nothing happens. Note that I had created the project using 4.10.0 and then opened it in 4.12.3 in the hope I'd be able to nest the custom containers.
Hi everyone,I'll be at Embedded World again this year in the STM32 area. Would love to meet some of you there. I'll be the guy not wearing shoes =)Best regards,Martin
I want to change the content of a wildcard depending on the previous state. e.g. If the content of the TextArea is "Off" the content should be changed to "On" when the function is called. If the content is "On", it should be changed to "Off".
As I understand, TouchGFX uses l this algorithm:-if I touch to screen and move finger - list is scrolling-if I touch to screen and do not move - item under finger go selected.I check it on 746GDiSCO - works very well.But when I put scrollList to 1024x600 display, I got problem. Touchscreen of this display is very sensitive - very little touch to screen make moving list to 1-2 pixels. And scrollList1ItemSelectedHandler () not starts. It very difficult to touch to screen and do not moving.I don't wan't to decrease touchscreen sencsitiveIt will be god form me, if scrollList1ItemSelectedHandler will start regardless of movement, so that the touch calls scrollList1ItemSelectedHandler even when the finger movesHow to do it?Sorry for bad English.
Recently I am interfacing a image sensor with the DCMI interface on my STM32H743VIT6. I am using the STM32H7 HAL library 1.7.0, generated with STM32CubeMX 5.6.0, compiling using ARM GCC 9.2.1. I have encountered some issue with using the DCMI driver in the HAL library.My application requires to take a image of 640x484 pixels (each pixel of uint8_t) with DCMI connected to a image sensor while it is constantly streaming video. To do so, I used the function call below:HAL_DCMI_Start_DMA(&hdcmi, DCMI_MODE_SNAPSHOT, (uint32_t)pixdata, 77440);While the image is being received, my application is supposed to do processing for each line collected on the fly. As such, I implemented a counter in the override HAL callback function:void HAL_DCMI_LineEventCallback (DCMI_HandleTypeDef *_hdcmi) { rowCounter++; }Now the issue is, after reset, only during the first frame the HAL_DCMI_LineEventCallback will be invoked. I have debugged my code and inspected the HAL implementation. It is found that:Al
I want to create the TouchGFX demo 3 (the animated bubbles) for my STM32F429i-Discovery board by creating a new project within CubeIDE.I'm a total noob to this STM32 stuff, but thanks to you folks here and on YouTube I've got it working apart from the touch feature. If I tap the screen on the button, nothing happens.The hardware is fine as I have downloaded other demos (non CubeIDE ones) and they work OK.Below is a walk-through of how I create the project ( sorry, its pretty long). I created the project without a real-time OS, which I assume is OK for this demo.Maybe someone can tell me what I've missed for implementing the touch control.Using:Board: STM32F429I-DISC1STM32CubeIDE Ver 1.3.0TouchGX 4.13.0 EDIT: DO NOT USE THIS WALK-THROUGH. See the one further down this post.// Creating a project in STM32CubeIDE with working display on STM32F429I-Discovery board. // -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- // // In CubeIDE Start a new project
Hi everyone..Along time ago, i had see the article 'https://touchgfx.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360019884752-Configuring-STM32F746G-DISCO'but currently that line seem die.everyone, Who can tell me, how to config TouchGFX with STM32F446-Disco using CubeMXThanks and Best Regards
