Hi,How to create custom containter that has moveAnimator mixin included? Is it possible?I want to create notification, which is operated using: notificationContainer.show()The custom container would implement this show() method, which would call startMoveAnimation() to itself, among other stuff.I can add moveAnimator mixin to container in this in view, but then I need to call the startMoveAnimation etc. routine in every view, instead of just calling show() and letting container deal with the implementation.How would I create custom container class that has MoveAnimator mixin?Designer generates it like this:touchgfx::MoveAnimator< notificationContainer > notificationContainer1;I cannot figure out how to create such class. Thanks!
My system have tens of pages, and have 3 hardware buttons to change the LCD backlight.When change the backlight, it is needed to display a small window on the current page.After finished the changing, the small window closed.I know I can create ModelWindow in each page, and display it in handleKeyEvent.In this case, I need to create the same code for each page. It must be very hard.Is there any simple method to do it?Thanks!
Hello, I am preparing a keypad project in touchgfx. Basically I need to print integer and fraction values on LCD screen through keypad. However, since touchgfx generates a wildcard as uint16_t, I am not able to put the value inside a buffer and giving it in the string form to snprintf, so as to print it on the screen. How can I generate a wildcard variable in char* format, instead of uint16_t format?
Hi,How to display strings in TouchGFX which is not defined previously in GUI

Could you please show me a simple configuration for STM32F429I to show some variables on LCD.
Hi,is there any plans to add support for MAC OSX to TouchGFX as all other ST tools seem to be multi platform? It would be greatly appreciated :smiling_face_with_smiling_eyes: Kind Regards,Steinar

I am using the DMA2D in STM32F750Z8T's perform operations on buffers that are in external RAM.I am using it for drawing on the display, so I have the LTDC device active and the synchronization interrupt active.The first thing I do is fill a buffer with a unique value and the code is as follows:bool FillBuffer(uint32_t Xpos, uint32_t Ypos, uint32_t xSize, uint32_t ySize, uint32_t color) { uint32_t DstAddress; hdma2d->Init.Mode = DMA2D_R2M; hdma2d->Init.ColorMode = DMA2D_OUTPUT_ARGB8888; hdma2d->Init.OutputOffset = (GetXSize() - xSize); //GetXSize() return the maximum X size in pixel. //Do not set the level settings because it is not necessary in this mode DstAddress = ((uint32_t)temporary_buffer) + (GetXSize() * Ypos + Xpos) * 4; //GetXSize() return the maximum X size in pixel. /* DMA2D Initialization */ if(HAL_DMA2D_Init(hdma2d) == HAL_OK) { if(HAL_DMA2D_Start(hdma2d, color, DstAddress, xSize, ySize) == HAL_OK) { /* Polling For DMA transfer *
Hi everyoneI'm using stm32f103zet to run emwin gui. In the first step i configured everything for running from internal RAM and program worked fine and gui is displays components like progress bar and ...., but when i changed linker command file to map gui memory to external SRAM everything went wrong. I checked connection with SRAM and it was ok. I checked 8,16,32 bit memory accessing integrity by following code:this code is running well build analyzer tool of cubeide shows memory usage as follows:in this case program run GUI_Init() function successfully and memory allocation and LCD initialization are done, (The LCD is turn to black after GUI_Init() Execution just like when i use the internal RAM as gui memory) but nothing else happens.What is the problem?Thank you so much
Posted on July 02, 2017 at 23:38Hello,I have an application where I need the following:1. Lowest possible power conusmption - in any mode run/standby/sleep - it is a battery powered application2. The controller also includes segment LCD driver - driving up to min 64 segments3. The controller also keeps the segment LCD live (no turning off the LCD) in sleep/standby mode Refering to the reference manual / data sheet for STM32L476, I found that this is a suitable controller I can use for my application.:Q1. Has anyone any experience using STM32L4 in application for driving segment LCD? Can anyone please help me with any example / document? Q2. Further for the segment LCD, how does the common and segment pins layout work?Any primer or document will be really helpful and very much appreciated.. Thanks in advance!bestSilas #segment-lcd
Hi,I'm a new user of TouchGfx designer. As I'm running a Linux workstation I find it inconvenient to dual boot into Windows for using this tool.So I have set up a virtual Windows guest on my Linux host.On my Linux host I have the project files and run the STM32CubeIDE.I also run a samba service to share the project files to my Windows guest.On my Windows guest I can access the project files and e.g. double click on the .touchgfxproj file and open the project just fine.However whenever I try to "Generate code" or "Simulate" I get the following error: make -f simulator/gcc/Makefile assets -j8 generated/simulator/gcc/Makefile:215: recipe for target 'images' failed process_begin: CreateProcess(S:\stm32_workspace\prf_prod_test\Middlewares\ST\touchgfx\framework\tools\imageconvert\build\win\imageconvert.out, ../Middlewares/ST/touchgfx/framework/tools/imageconvert/build/win/imageconvert.out -r assets/images -w generated/image
When Microsoft excel 2016 opens texts.xlsx, it will report some error. If I accept corrections and save the file, the designer can not recognize the file.the text resource accumulates more and more, I must re-order the content. Which version or what other software should I use to modify the texts.xlsx.
HelloI want to use ver 4.12.3 and 4.13.0. Is it possible?If so, how can I do that?Thank you.
Question is about TouxhGFX environment (C:\TouchGFX\4.13.0\env\MinGW).We want to use our own build environment, outside TouchGFX MinGW shell and NOT using tools included at C:\TouchGFX\4.13.0\env (make, /bin/*, binutils, etc.).Are there any specifics done with that environment you ship with Designer? For example there is non standard make included into MSYS, so maybe there are other custom things. Any startup custom setup...Basically, is there anything specific to know about configuration and setup of our custom fresh environment for building, CI/CD and more?P. S. We want to still let Designer itself to use out-of-the-box environment for code generation. I guess it would be too big of a hack to change that. Question applies to builds and not code/assets generation.P. P. S. If you are curious, goal is to have independent and fully controllable separate environment for local builds and CI/CD server (Win and Linux).

Hi, I am new on microcontrollers and I am starting with STM32F769-Discovery. I need to turn on/off the LCD backlight. I have been taking a look on schematics and it seems it can be done by LCD_BL_CTRL, which is connected to PI14.https://www.st.com/resource/en/user_manual/dm00276557-discovery-kit-with-stm32f769ni-mcu-stmicroelectronics.pdf However, I have no clear how to configuring PI14 to use it to control the backlight. This is what I have__HAL_RCC_GPIOI_CLK_ENABLE(); GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStructure; GPIO_InitStructure.Pin = GPIO_PIN_14; GPIO_InitStructure.Mode = GPIO_MODE_OUTPUT_PP; //GPIO_MODE_OUTPUT_OD not working too HAL_GPIO_Init(GPIOI,&GPIO_InitStructure);Any idea?Kind Regards, Rafa
I am a bit new on stm32 hardware and TouchGFX and I have the following problem.The screen slide transition works when running the simulator but not on the board.Tested the UI template named Transition Example and instead of sliding between screens the screens switch in an instant on the board while it works in the simulator.The slide animation on screen changes also does not seem to work on the TouchGFX Demo 1. They work for the simulator but not on the board, and looking at the demonstration on the Touchgfx Youtube page the screen transitions does not seem to work there neither https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7nBx23a8x4.From reading previous questions on this webpage my best guess is that the Animation Storage is not configured but the links referred to are to the old documentation and no longer seem to work.If the Animation Storage is the problem how do I configure that?Are there any Examples capable of running on the STM32F746G Discovery board that have working sliding screen trans
The STM32F469 data sheet says TFT-LCD is also available, so the design is in progress.It has a dedicated PIN. Is it possible without a graphic driver?And I want to configure GUI with TOUCHGFX. Does the storage of image data in this part have to be configured for memory?I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you.
Hi , I'm using 4.10 library version , I've downloaded the Graph widget from https://github.com/touchgfx/touchgfx-open-repository/tree/master/widgets/Graph . Updated Graph::Setup function as recommended in repository . I've created custom container named baseContainer which contains some common, to whole application ,values .So I'm also wanted to add Graph representation from ADC readings (ADC readings works , because I've added another field to container which displays the ADC readings once per second)I've placed the Graph widget source code to "\gui\src\common" and headers to "gui\include\gui\common" ,I'v added instance of Graph to my container and initialized as follows : void baseContainer::initialize() { baseContainerBase::initialize(); graph.setXY(46,201); graph.setup(220,250,Color::getColorFrom24BitRGB(111, 156, 233)); graph.setRange(0, 220, 0, 250); graph.setLineWidth(5); graph_insert_index = 0; graph_insert_period = graph.getRangeRight() / 22 ; // debugging add(graph);
The data sheet says the bits allow pressure range and accuracy to be configured, but I'm not seeing how these work. The STM32 Cube example code does not offer any clues. Also in the code, either the comment or setting is not consistent. When the datasheet says the different bits set the fractional and whole parts, I would like to know parts of what. For example, if b2,b1,b0 are set to 111, the data sheet says the fractional part is 7 and the whole part is 1. Is this 1.7? If so, 1.7 of what? I would like to configure this for my touchscreen but it's hard when I don't know what they mean. Please shed some light on this. Thanks-Mary
I have question related to the graphic engine DMA2D in the STM32H743. Can it convert progressive scan YCBCR from the DCMI to RGB 565. this is very important for any Application that needs to save video at high resolution with 30fps?
