I am trying to capture UART message once a button is pressed. I have implemented the functions to do that and while debugging i see the steps required to do that.However, when the UART communication happen, i get strange messages (check photo)Note: i am not using a Queue nor a separate to do the UART comm. However, you can see a GUI_Task mentioned in the UART message (that is the main task and this is not used within the code)My code is the following: if(xx==0) { HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart2, pData, sizeof(pData), HAL_MAX_DELAY); char newline[2] = "\r\n"; HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart2, (uint8_t *) newline, sizeof(newline), 1); xx++; } HAL_Delay(1000); char in[8]; HAL_UART_Receive(&huart2, (uint8_t *)in, 8, 1000); HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart2, (uint8_t *)in, 8, 1); HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart2, (uint8_t *) "mata", 28, 1
Dear all,I am trying to connect the STM32L476 with a display LCD (https://www.winstar.com.tw/it/products/graphic-lcd-display-module/display-lcd-240x128.html) by using FSMC.I read a lot of post and application note (first AN2790) but I really don't understand how to connect the display. Can you help me?Marco
Thank you for helping.How can I use English and Japanese?Can you speak Japanese even if you run the simulator? The characters are garbled.
Hi all,I'm new on ST word, but I want to learn how realize graphic interface with gfxstudio.I bought a board with STM32H743VIT6 (some more infos here: https://github.com/WeActTC/MiniSTM32H7xx)I installed GFXstudio (v4.16 - v4.15 and v4.13) on STM32CubeIDE 1.5.1.I create a new project (C++), I choose the right uC and I configured all peripherals to manage an external TFT 480x272 display (via LTDC)I designed a simple Screen with a picture and 2 buttons, then I generate the code from GFXstudio 4.16 and it works without problems.When I try to compile the project on Stm32CubeIDE I see a lots of missing files and patch witch block the compiling process.Every time I insert a new patch, i receve a new error cause a new file is missing.I would like to know some simple things to start my first project:1) Why I must insert all the patch to locate the files needed by project? is it possibile do it automatically? (some of missing files: touchgfx/hal/OSWrappers.hpp: No such file or
Hi.I am using a Discovery kit F769I Disco and its included touchscreen.I am struggling to write and read data from an external SD Card using TouchGFX. Indeed, I want to create an interaction using 2 buttons where it either creates a text file on my sd and writes data in it or reads data from an existing text file.So far, this has worked using the Simulator because it doesn't use the microSD card.However, it doesn't work when I run the code on the board : I am using the flow operators (>>) to write and read data.I tried writing and reading data only using STM32CubeIDE (without the graphical interface) and it works because I am using the functions present in the FATFS library.How could I make it work in TouchGFX ?Thank you for reading.
Good morning everyone!I download Demonstrations code at ST.com(https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/32f769idiscovery.html#tools-software).I open the project in STM32F769\STM32Cube_FW_F7_V1.16.0\Projects\STM32F769I-Discovery\Demonstrations\TouchGFX\MDK-ARM by Keil uVision5 and rebuild all target file. However, it shows 532 errors.The part of error massage is as below.How to find these files?Thank you~"no source": Error: #5: cannot open source input file "../../../../../Middlewares/ST/STM32_USB_Host_Library/Core/Src/usbh_ioreq.c": No such file or directory../../../../../Middlewares/ST/STM32_USB_Host_Library/Core/Src/usbh_ioreq.c: 0 warnings, 1 errorcompiling usbh_pipes.c..."no source": Error: #5: cannot open source input file "../../../../../Middlewares/ST/STM32_USB_Host_Library/Core/Src/usbh_pipes.c": No such file or directory../../../../../Middlewares/ST/STM32_USB_Host_Library/Core/Src/usbh_pipes.c: 0 warnings, 1 errorcompiling stm32f7xx_hal_tim.c...compiling stm32f7xx_ll
I have some sliders in a scrollable container. I found that when I move the slider, the screen can still move up and down. How to temporarily lock the scroll function to avoid screen movement when the slider is triggered

Hi all,is it possible to enlarge the ScrollBar by code?
I recently updated my TouchGFX to version 4.16.1 (was working with 4.13) and it seems that the fade animator is not working anymore with the CircleProgress widget. To be sure it was not a code mistake from my side I made a test project in Designer, fading in a CircleProgress from alpha 0 to 255 using transition entered as a trigger, but the fading doesn't happen. Same fading with a box widget works like a charm, so it seems to be CircleProgress related....I did the same test in 4.13 and there the fading of the CircleProgress is working properly.Does anyone have the same issue?
Hello,Curious if there is some kind of plugin or something for bridging a design tool like Adobe Photoshop etc. into TouchGFX? More generally, if we're creating graphics in other tools, how do we bring those into TouchGFX for the UI development?
I am searching for a library I can use to get the TFT (ILI9341 3.2) working with my STM32F4.Can someone help me please I searched for a week for it but I haven't found any thing.
just like example ( page0 -> page1 -> page2 -> page0 -> page1 -> page2 -> page0 )help~~thank you.:eyes:
Hello, I have made an STemWin example with STM32F407 and ILI9341 with SPI interface.I think that there is an graphic driver problem. The graphics are not sharp. What Could be the correct driver settings ?My settings are;pDevice = GUI_DEVICE_CreateAndLink(GUIDRV_FLEXCOLOR, GUICC_565, 0, 0);GUIDRV_FlexColor_SetFunc(pDevice, &PortAPI, GUIDRV_FLEXCOLOR_F66709, GUIDRV_FLEXCOLOR_M16C0B8);

HiIn GFX, I generate a template. In the IDE, I import a template. I don't have * .hpp in it. They are * .cpp. How to set up the IDE to be * .hpp files?Andrzej
Hi everyone,I've tried to find some examples how to implement a scrolling list of widgets composed of custom drop-down menu widgets that are composed of a list of different types of widgets, creating them run-time based of a local configuration, but I didn't found anything.Are there any examples or any tutorials that explain how to implement it?Or are there a simple way to implement it? that doesn't force me to write long in C ++Thank you everyone!
HiI start with a template. I'm generating GFX without error. I open the STM32CubeIDE. There are * .cpp files. There is no * .hpp. Why? RegardsAndrzej

I am using STM32CUBE IDE v1.6.0 with TouchGFX v4.16.1 installed and using firmware version V1.16.0.Yet in the Middleware sections, the graphics section is not there.Can anyone tell me why?
Hello, I am currently trying to control a TFT display (240x240 pixels) with SPI. I have followed these instructions: https://helentronica.com/2021/01/22/touchgfx-on-a-custom-made-low-cost-board-with-the-ili9341-controller-over-spi/ I have a different display driver (ST7789) and a STM32F429I disco board. I took a ili9341 lib and customized the registers because I didn't find an adequate lib for the ST7789 that included "SetWindow" and "DrawBitmap". The instructions include a timer interrupt which is called every 30ms. But in debug, it can be seen that the program goes through the MX_TouchGFX_Process() routine over and over again and never goes into the timer interrupt. Accordingly, the image created in TouchGFX is a white box and a button is not displayed. I don't have touch on my display yet, is that the problem? I would have thought the display should still work. CubeMX adds the function MX_TouchGFX_Process() to the while(1) of the int main when I want to work without OS. I'
I am trying to make some tests with the touchGFX and the STM32H7B3I-DK kit.I have tried different approaches with online step by step videos and webinars.This one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4-fyx4e96jkI have tried now and all compiles and uploads without error, but the display does not turn on. It works because uploading something simple directly from tGFX designer turn on the display.I get 1 warning, but don't know why that should have impact on the display not turning on. The warning is: Invalid project path: Include path not found (C:\TouchGFXProjects\Designer_tGFX_1\Middlewares\Third_Party\FreeRTOS\Source\CMSIS_RTOS).Why should that meke the display stay black, and what should I do to get rid of the warning. I have followed the video to the point.I have read at some places that this board is not as good as others regarding "Working right of the shelf"Another thing: If I try to flash the original demo into it, there is a lot of tear in the images on the mainscreen. Why is that
I know i can use cc936.c of FATFS, but I think this is not a good method, because it will take up more memory and will be very slow in efficiency.I would like to ask if touchGFX has a built-in method to directly convert GDK encoding to Unicode encoding. I want to print Chinese.for example: touchgfx_printf("0x%x",'我');Output: 0xCED2"0xCED2" is the GDK codeI want to convert it to unicode encoding Unicode: 0x6211Is there a quick way to convert?
