I have a correct circuit and could print in LCD in arduino IDE using the above mentioned board. To do in STM32CUBEIDE I dont know what libraries are needed and how to code there. Can someone please guide me? There are no videos online or no resources regarding this so I couldn't be guided. Thanks in advance
Hello, I want to rotate 90 degrees to display the debug strings, but I can't find a function for that function. Can this idea work?
I am using Touchgfx v4.16. I recently purchased a STM32429I-Eval kit directly from ST. I ported an existing Touchgfx project to use the 429I-Eval drivers and flashed the board using the Stm32 Cube Programmer and the external flash loader that matches the eval board's external flash. When the application started, the image on the screen was distorted.As a check, I generated an example project using Designer. I flashed the project onto the eval board directly using Designer. The screen image was still distorted (see attached image).When I load the original demonstration application onto eval board, the images look fine. However this is a single STemWin binary and not separate internal and external binaries.The only times when I seen this sort of image distortion is when there is a mismatch between the internal and external binaries (ex: the external binary is updated on the target but the internal binary is not). Is there a known issue with the STM32429I-Eval board or the files that come
Hello,I have installed the following on my Windows 10 PC:STM32CubeIDE v1.6.0STM32CubeMX v6.2.0 STM32CubeProgrammer v2.6.0TouchGFX v4.16.1From the CubeIDE I can compile and debug code on my STM32F469I-DISCO board.However if I try to create an example project in TouchGFX Designer, the following error appears:Generate Assets make -f simulator/gcc/Makefile assets -j8 'Co' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. Failed FailedThis same error occurs if I try to generate code for my DISCO board or for the simulator.I have tried multiple other targets and many of the examples, all with the same error.I have removed all the applications and reinstalled from scratch, but the same error occurs.Thanks for any help,Hayden
Hi, I'm using an STM32H725 with TouchGFX. I using a custom FMC interface to an LCD.I'm using the following timer interrupt set at 60Hz to drive the TouchGFX engine as recommended as per documentation. (This is a bare-metal implementation) I have verified that the timer call every 60Hz through a debug pin to oscilloscope.void HAL_TIM_PeriodElapsedCallback(TIM_HandleTypeDef *htim) { // check which version of the timer triggered this callback if (htim == &htim7) // set to approximately 60Hz { HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(DebugTimer_GPIO_Port,DebugTimer_Pin); ++Global_Time60Hz; touchfgx_signalVSync(); } }However, when I try to say for example use a clock on a TouchGFX screen, the clock increments wayyyyyy to fast. What can be the cause of this?void Screen3View::handleTickEvent() { if (tickCounter++ % 60 == 0) //60 { if (++digitalSeconds >= 60) { digitalSeconds = 0; if (++digitalMinutes >= 60) { digitalMinutes = 0; if (++digitalHours >= 24) { digitalHours = 0;
Upon entering a screen which contains a swipe container 'sub_settings_swipe_container' I'm performing some logic based on where the screen is getting it's brightness from. Either manually set via a scrollwheel elsewhere or through a CAN message. void sub_settings_swipeView::setupScreen() { sub_settings_swipeViewBase::setupScreen(); sub_settings_swipe_container.setSelectedPage(navigate_to_screen != 0xff ? navigate_to_screen : 0); current_page = sub_settings_swipe_container.getSelectedPage(); // Global_Settings_2_2 switch(FFC.brightness_source) { case can_source: can_button.setSelected(true); manual_button.setSelected(false); sub_settings_swipe_container.add(sub_1_settings_1); sub_settings_swipe_container.add(sub_1_settings_2); sub_settings_swipe_container.setPageIndicatorXY(98, 212); // Global_Settings_2_4 CAN_brightness_scroll_wheel.animateToItem(ceil((FFC.CAN_Backlight_Adjust*100)-50), 3); CAN_brightness_scroll_wheel.invalidate();
Hello, I'm having a new problem with a touchGFX designer, when i try to add a new screen the CUBE IDE compiler generate many of erros.if i have 6 screens its okay, the CUBE IDE compile the code, but and i add the 7 screen, for some reason something happening, i saw some details about this for keil and IAR, but anyone have any ideia for CUBE IDE?
Hello everyone,I have a Mikromedia 7 Capacitive board, which includes a STM32F746ZG, a LCD Display Controller SSD1963 and a 7" touch screen, this is how it looks :I'd like to store framebuffers made by my MCU into the SSD1963 and then it displays on the screen. I've made the SSD1963 driver which can initializes and transmits data to the SSD1963 (it's supposed to work).Now i created my target with single Buffer strategy on TouchGFXGenerator : Obviously, the IDE stores the framebuffer in internal RAM. Which function have I to modify in order to store the pixels in the SSD1963 ?If I wasn't clear, I could explain in details.Thanks, Maël
Hello. Im trying to generate code to run on the CM4, but when i generate it the code is located within the CM7 folder, like so : - :file_folder: CM4 - :file_folder:Core- :file_folder: CM7 - :file_folder: Core - :file_folder: TouchGFXThis is what im trying to achieve: - :file_folder: CM4 - :file_folder:Core - :file_folder: TouchGFX- :file_folder: CM7 - :file_folder: CoreOr is there any other way to make touchGFX run on the CM4 in this MCU? Any links for documentation would be appreciated as well.Thank you.
TouchGFX Designer doesn't show me any online application or template (just the Simulation with the black UI template).I'm using version 4.16.0 and it shows me the following error :Package server at HTTP://packages.touchgfx.com/V2/packages.json.zip can not be reached No online packages can be found.You can continue working, but only already installed packages are available.the remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden.I try also the newest version 4.17.0 and it shows me, "the application is not connected to the internet"
I think the code design of TouchGFX is very excellent. I want to learn more.Thanks! (from translation software)
I can also take this card for my project but it's not easy to find IDE, JTAG, SWD and also a community and a community to share knowledge.
Hello,I have compile problems with STM32CubeIDE.< Detail information >1) STM32CubeIDE version : 1.7.02) TouchGFX version : 4.17.03) Target Board : STM32H747I-DISCO4) Process order in my caseCreate new STM32 project (select STM32H747I-DISCO board, targeted language is C++)Configure Software Packs (in .ioc file)GUI design from TouchGFX program (open ApplicationTemplate.touchgfx.part)Generate codeRefresh STM32 project and copy necessary files From TouchGFX project to STM32 projectBuild project (in my case, compile error occurs)If needed, added Paths5) Compile error messages Attached my project.Please advise for me, thanks.
Hello, The TouchGfx I used was version 4.15.0, and screen refresh rate is 60Hz. Now I move the project to version 4.17.0 TouchGfx, and the screen refresh rate is up to 70Hz. Can this parameter be changed by user?
Actually previously we have used tfts which have own protocols. now we are using this touchgfx stm32f469 discovery . so we are new to use this. here i can change the page by interaction in gfx designer, after that i need to update the text in that page. so how can we know that lcd on that page?
Hello!I'm using TouchGFX for a project, LCD and touch module are OK, but I have some problems with the QSPI driver (W25Q128 module).I'm able to compile all the code and I see QSPI flash memory as used, but it gives me an error in "final launch sequence".After including stm32746g_qspi.h (well, my board is an H743, but this file is modified by the vendor Waveshare: even if the name seems wrong, as you can see, it includes H7 headers)://This is the stm32746g_qspi.h initial part ... #ifndef __STM32746G_QSPI_H #define __STM32746G_QSPI_H #ifdef __cplusplus extern "C" { #endif /* Includes ------------------------------------------------------------------*/ #include "stm32H7xx_hal.h" #include "w25q128fv.h" ... So I put some initialization lines in MX_QUADSPI_Init() function:void MX_QUADSPI_Init(void) { hqspi.Instance = QUADSPI; hqspi.Init.ClockPrescaler = 10; hqspi.Init.FifoThreshold = 4; hqspi.Init.SampleShifting = QSPI_SAMPLE_SHIFTING_HALFCYCLE; hqspi.I
i did installed from software packages of cubeide. But generator is not appearing on the category menu to configure.
So assume I define a swipe container which has two pages. When I swipe to leave page0 to page 1, I want to do something in this transition on both page0 and page1. How and where should I put the user code?
Assume we setup a swipe container which contains multiple pages. One of the pages is scroll list which items are to be arranged vertically. The intention is when we swipe vertical, it should move the item, but when we swipe horizontal, it should perceive it as normal swipe event to go to other page in the swipe containers.However, this does not happen, instead, when we swipe horizontally, it does nothing, it does not go to other page. This only happen for scroll list widget, if I insert say normal box, then we can swipe the associated page again.Why this is so and how to address this?If needed, I can create the simple project to demonstrate the issue.
I create a widget Box, with intention:For single click , do action 1For dragging, prevent doing action 1This mean I need the Box container need to :Detect drag event. I know how to detect single click but not drag.Differentiate between drag event and single click.I tried to tick mixins option for both 'Draggable' and 'ClickListener' then setup in class definitionvirtual void handleDragEvent(const DragEvent& event) override { // break point here }But when I drag the box, it never hit the breakpoint inside handleDragEvent().Did I miss anything?
Hello,I am trying to create a project on cubeMX with touchGFX using the eval board stm32h747i-disco. I can program my graphic application from the touchGFX software but when I try to create a project from cubeMX, I cannot add touchGFX generator and in the release notes of the version 4.16 it says : "TouchGFX Generator was previously available for projects with dual Core MCUs H747* and H745* despite not being supported yet."Do you have an idea of when it will be released, I saw on the forum that it was planned for Q4 2020?Also can I get the project used by the touch GFX software to generate the binary that is programmed to the eval board when you create a graphic applicationThank you by advanceBest regards,
In the default MCU selection tool in touchgfx there is no STM32H745 configuration. I want to use 745 for my project and use touchgfx.I plan to migrate from either 750 or 743 or 735 to h745. I started h750 and I changed startup files, ld flash files and all stm32h745i_discovery_* files. I also change the .project and .cproject files. But I could not make project work. There are tons of compile errors. Which board is the most close to the STM32H745, and which files should I change to make the touchgfx project work on this board. Is there a guide?
Hello, I think something is broken with the last release of touchgfx or something shady is missing in my setup. my setup: Touchgfx 4.17.0Stm board: STM32H735G-DK touchgfx VERSION V 3.0.4Stm32Cube FW: 1.9.0 Drivers Steps: Make a new projectput a box and a button In the middle of the screen generate coderun on target I get this error on the consoleRun Target Generate Done Generate Assets make -f simulator/gcc/Makefile assets -j8 Reading ./application.config Done Post Generate touchgfx update_project --project-file=simulator/msvs/Application.vcxproj Done Post Generate Target touchgfx update_project --project-file=../STM32H735G-DK.ioc --platform=m7 .project files generated inside project folder This is STM32CubeIDE project updater: Working on ../STM32CubeIDE/.project Project file: ../STM32CubeIDE/.cproject Done Compile make -f ../gcc/Makefile -j8 Reading TouchGFX/application.config Linking TouchGFX/build/bin/target.elf Producing additional output formats... target.hex
So I just got my STM32H747i-DISCO dev board and have been messing around with TouchGFX. I'm having trouble configuring the project in STMCubeMX and TouchGFX Designer to use a 16bit RGB565 framebuffer. If I select anything besides RGB888/24bit I get a distorted image with static bars on the screen. So 24bit works fine but 16bit does not.I've tried setting the LTDC Display Type and Framebuffer Pixel Format in STMCubeMX to RGB565 and Color Depth in TouchGFX Designer to 16bit but that isnt enough. I've attached the various settings I've tried changing in STMCubeMX.I think this display should support a 16bit framebuffer since a demo project in an older version of TouchGFX was using a 16bit framebuffer.
