Good Morning. We have developed an application based upon the eval board above and the included 100mm TFT. I now need to replace the TFT with a new 154mm version. (Data sheet attached). However, the new TFT has a 50 pin ribbon cable which is different to the ribbon on the 100mm TFT. What is the best way forward? Create a connector board to sit between the new TFT and the eval board or look at a different eval board. Apologies if this is a basic question, I have just inherited this project with very little hand over. Thanks Tony
Good afternoon,I've come across some odd behaviour and wanted to check in with you on it.I have been developing a project since TouchGFX 4.14 I believe, that I've been running and migrating through the updates without much hassle.Today, I migrated to 4.17.0, and copied/ pasted a Text Area from one screen to another (I know, my bad !). This is ultimately the change I found altered the project: I run into Hardfault Handler every time the TouchGFX task starts. Removing that bit of Text Area "solves" the problem, aka my board boots up, but I end up with either errated colors on my images, or overlapping adjacent screens on/ through my buttons (see pictures). Also the rest of my program does NOT run fine (no comms, no I/O, nothing seems alive - I have yet to determine what is and isn't).For reference (in simulator, which runs fine in any case):What could possibly have gone wrong during the migration ?My project runs on a STM32F769II-DISC0 board. If you need more info I can provide, but not
When I put more graphs in a swipe container on distinct pages and try to make a swipe on the graph area, nothing happens, when i do the swipe out of the graph area, it goes to the next page. Does anybody know how can i solve this problem ?
I have maked this changes to make the switch from SDRAM to the SRAM (IS61WV102416BLL) on the Board.#define GUI_NUM_LAYERS 1#define LCD_LAYER0_FRAME_BUFFER ((int)0x68000000)/* Initializes the SRAM device in the Main*/BSP_SRAM_Init(0);But it don’t Work, if I set LCD_LAYER0_FRAME_BUFFER back to ((int)0xD0000000) SDRAMthen it work.It looks to be something that needs tobe Init but I can’t see what it is.Need help.
So I have a STM32F769I-DISC0 board, and I am trying to write a binary file to it. Originally I was trying to write a binary file that was generated by the touchGFX Designer tool, but now I am simply trying to get the touchGFX example program for this board deployed on the board. This code compiles fine and generates binary/hex files, it just wont flash to the board for some reason. This is the full message I get on the STM32CubeIDE:STMicroelectronics ST-LINK GDB server. I have an application developed using touchGfx 4.13 where we are using a double buffer and it works fine. I have now migrated to touchGfx 4.17 but it seems like the double buffer is not working as expected. When I change from a longer text to a shorter text in a text area (change text from ‘Medium’ to ‘Low’ and resizeToCurrentText and move to center of the display) the longer text that is outside of the shorter text area is flickering in the screen (resulting MLowm, where M and m is flickering). It seems like the longer text that is outside of the shorter text area is not removed from the one frame buffer. In this particular example the error can be solved by keeping the text area size fixed and invalidate the whole text area but the same problem will probably come back in another error later on. Any ideas what can be the problem with my implementation? I'am using a custom board with an STM32F7.
Hello,I am struggling with getting a display connected to FMC bus up and running. The problem is that the display remains black all the time.I have followed the TouchGFX documentation, and implemented code according to TouchGFX AL Development. I used the scenario "FMC and SPI display Interface" and implemented the code described in that chapter.I use STM32CubeMx for setup the hardware and generate code (for IAR EWB). Then TouchGFX Designer for generating graphics. Then remade code in STM32CubeMx, and then using IAR EWB to implement the rest. I have enabled FreeRTOS in STM32CubeMx, and the MX_TouchGFX_Process() is running in a task.I have made setup code for the display (Winstar 2.4" 320x240 with ILI9341 driver). The setup code is tested, and I can send and recieve data to/from display.Vsync (FMARK) is working and updating semaphore for touchgfx vsync (OSWrappers::signalVSync();).I can see that tick() for touchGFX is updating constantly. But display is constantly black.I have made a simpl
Hello! Kindly make it clear how emoji unicodes get support by touchgfx font? Thanks.
For some reason, can't get a TouchGFX project I imported from another computer to compile and run on the target. I can get it to run in the simulator just fine though. Hi,I try to display a float with a precision of 9 number after the digit. My wildcard buffer size is set to 20.Unicode::snprintfFloat(textArea1Buffer, TEXTAREA1_SIZE, "%.9f", 0.123456789f); textArea1.invalidate();My output when running the simulator is the following: 0.123457Is the snprintfFloat format limited to 6 digits ? I'm using TouchGFX Designer 4.17.0.Thanks
Hello,I have a custom board based on a STM32F469BG with a TFT (NHD-4.3-480272EF), a SDRAM (MT48LC4M32B2) and a NORFLASH (IS29GL128).I tried to display a simple screen with five red box (on a white background) but they are not displayed correctly. In all the boxes, i can see random white dots and random white lines. The box is not entirely filled with red (see attached file)Also, i can see some pixel that are moving vertically to the top of the screen. The framebuffer is stored in external RAM.I checked the LTDC settings with no result.Does anyone has an idea to solve my problem ?Thanks in advance,Best Regards,Sebastian
Dear specialist,I have to apply spi-lcd(with st7789v driver ic, 320x170) on our own ckt using stm32f446ve.Originally we've used STemWin lib with fsmc parallel i/f lcd(320x240), but this time we had to change due to lcd delivery problem. this time I want to change gui lib due to flickering.(emWin's mem-device feature needed too many sram to remove flickering. actually I thought just a few sram could remove flickering using some tricks and image-object-management. but emWin did not support that kind of skills. Anyway when I look at demo of touch-gfx on stm32g07x, it seem to use small memory. so I decided to test touch-gfx this time on our board.)But I have no idea how to apply touch gfx lib on our board. I think there are a few tips and appnote related to touch-gfx, but I do not feel those doc and guide is not enough.I tried to install "TouchGFX 4.17.0 Designer" to check how touch-gfx code look like. but I could not port it to my platform. please guide to me.Best Regards,Tommy
Hello,I'm currently developing a project using Touchgfx on a custom board with a STM32F469II, external RAM/FLASH, SD card and a 1024x600 screen.I've recently come across an issue when performing any animation (slide screen transition, scrollable container, box/circle progress, ...) where the screen shakes like crazy (see video) and also during a small moment after.Any movement seem to be able to trigger this issue and the only way I've found to stop it is to disable chrom-art but then the frame rate drops down to about 15 fps when performing those animation.Does anyone know what's causing this shaking ? And if so, how can I limit it as much as possible ?Thanks in advance,Tristan

Hi!This might be a long shot but I'm having some rendering issues with the flex button and slider on my device. Everything works perfectly in the touchgfx simulator however I'm getting a weird image glitch once a button has been released on the actual hardware. Additionally the buttons glitch in the exact same way every time which makes me think something internally is accessing the framebuffer when it shouldn't be. I've attached two videos demonstrating the issue. One of them I have slowed the system clock right down so that the issue is clearly visible. My setup:Custom SPI displayNo OSDual Frame bufferDMA2D enabledInternal flash & RamNUCLEO-F767ZII've been wracking my brain for the last two weeks trying to figure this out so any pointers in the right direction would be much appreciated! Cheers
Hello. I try to make application with USB FS (host msc) and emwin on board stm32h743i-eval.When i connect USB, enumeration doesn't happen. Function USBH_Get_DevDesc always return USBH_BUSY, and usb stay in state ENUM_IDLE. But if i comment function GUI_Init enumeration is ok and i can see some usb descriptors in my uart terminal. Something happening in GUI_Init, that prevents usb.Another strange thing is that i also have USB (HS) Host camera device (UVC class), and it works fine with GUI_Init or without it.So, this code works well:SystemClock_Config();__HAL_RCC_CRC_CLK_ENABLE();//GUI_Init();USBH_Init(&usb_storage_handle, usb_storage_process, USB_STORAGE_ID);USBH_RegisterClass(&usb_storage_handle, USBH_MSC_CLASS);USBH_Start(&usb_storage_handle);while (1) { USBH_Process(&usb_storage_handle);}But when i change //GUI_Init(); onGUI_Init(); USB dont work.Help me please. Thanks
Hi ST Community,I have interfaced environmental sensor to STM32. I am getting the Temperature, Pressure, Humidity, and Air-quality values. I want to show these values on STM32F769I-Disco board's WVGA TFT LCD using Touch GFX. So, how to integrate my developed environmental code to Touch GFX to show the sensor values on WVGA TFT LCD with GUI? What are the steps should be followed?

Hi,The following are the board detailsMicrocontroller: STM32F746IGTxLQFP176Development Board: WaveShareExternal flash:128MB ; External RAM:16MBIDE: STM32CUBE IDE 1.6.1Graphics Software:TouchGFX 4.17.0Layers used:1Buffer used :2buffer1 start address:0xD0000000 ; buffer2 start address:0xD012C000LCD details : 7inch display with RGB888(24 bits) interface,1024x600When the board is turned ON, Initially a start up screen lasts for a few seconds and then the main screen appears. There are 5 screens in total including the start up screen. Whenever the main screen appears the impression of the start up screen which is white in colour is seen on it (as shown in the below images ).We have set up gauges and circle progress bars in the screens and impressions of these are also seen in the following screen ,Often the text and numbers also tend to get overlapped.Kindly provide any solutions or suggestions for this.thanks and regardsSinduja
So assume I define a text area widget which contained text "123". Can we have e.g. color gray for character '1', color black for character '2' and color red for character '3'?The usage is e.g. to take user input via numpad, and we want to show user which character has been edited, just edited and going to be edited accordingly.
Due to mechanical restrictions I'm being asked to implement an Uctronics U6111 display board with SPI interface. I've found the driver for for the display being used with Raspberry Pi (it's intended use) on github, but it appears to be a set of binary files, so I can't just convert it over.I currently have it set up through the Arduino ports on the STM32F769I-DISCO and when power is enabled the display turns on and displays Uctronics. All this does is prove that the power cabling is correct. My next step is to import the driver, but I cannot find it anywhere.I understand that using a Raspberry Pi display through the Arduino port of an STM32F7 board is not optimal, but this is being done to avoid retooling costs. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
We need to reset the display and would prefer to do sop with the backlight off to avoid it showing random patterns during the reset.I noticed in the schematic that the BL_CRTL is not connected (R4 is missing), so is there a way to turn the backlight off and on again? Thanks.
The reason is we have noticed both the display and touchscreen freeze after 3 months in our test suite so since these aspects do not share hardware it looks like the RTOS thread has latched.I have performed a preliminary test to perform the thread terminate and restart every 5 mins and it appears to be safe, with just a short screen glitch as the hardware is reset.I was also surprised that the display continued from the page it left and not at the home page which I suspect is because the model instances are held statically so remember their current actions. I trust this is expected behaviour as it's more than I expected.
