New versions TouchGFX automatic declare __background box in base project. This is added to every screen and setup over all screen and use black color.I see problem on big display 1280x480 , but i mean exist on all configs.Steps to replicate:create screen with or without next backgroundbox.add for example one image and two big font text area, i use 108 sizein setup screen set only image visiblein handletickevent set on timeout switch visible texts and invisible imageOn moment when this change on display is visible short chaotic redrawing on text areas. This cant be recorded to video because i dont have high speed cam, but is exactly failure. When i add to setup screen line remove(__background);or any other box used , transition is perfect without scratch. When i use background TiledImage, transition is too ok.Seems as rendering boxes or maybe any canvas work bad.I hope in next version all works better.
Why Texts in Webdings or Wingdings format do not appear in the simulation on Touchgfx?

Hi everyone,I would like to play a video (.mp4 or .avi), on STM32F746G-DISCO.I find an example on TouchGFX Designer (Online Applications), Washer Demo with a video in the screen Instructions.I find in the project a file "video.c" which is generated from MP4 but I don't know how this file is generated.I am using TouchGFX Designer 4.13.0 and STM32CubeIDE 1.3.1Thanks,Tom
Is there a good way for multiple people to develop their screens and integrate them into the same TouchGFX project?
Is there any way to stop touchgfx (with DMA2D) engine and resume back after notification. Stop and Resume of Touchgfx task is not a solution as the DMA streaming is running in the background. Pls confirm ?Start / Stop / Resume the touchgfx engine to save the power as FMC/SDRAM/QSPI will also have to stall with option? Is it possible ?

Hi Everyone,If you haven't noticed by now, X-CUBE-TOUCHGFX 4.17.0 is out, available from STM32CubeMX 6.0+ and from st.com as a zip (Also installable through STM32CubeMX).Here is the documentation for 4.17.0: https://support.touchgfx.com/Main features:Complete redesign of the TouchGFX DesignerDual core support of TouchGFX Generator FMC interface support of TouchGFX GeneratorVarious minor framework improvements like font handlingYou can see all the bug fixing and improvements in the changelog.KNOWN ISSUES:If you wish to use L8 images in 16-,24- or 32bpp configurations, for some RTOS you will need to remove the OSWrappers::taskYield() function call in the DMA2D file templates of the X-CUBE installation (FreeRTOS from CubeMX works OK):Navigate to your Users/<user name>/STM32Cube/Repository/Packs/STMicroelectronics/X-CUBE-TOUCHGFX/4.17.0/CubeMX/templates/Target folderDepending on your bit depth open the dma_XXbpp_implementation_tmp.ftl file (16.
Hi,I have a custom designed board with stm32f429iit6, external SDRAM (IS45S16400J) and external NAND flash (K9F2G08U0C).The SDRAM is connected to SDRAM bank 1 and the NAND flash is connected to FMC Bank 2.I’ve configured FMC with “STM32CubeMX? and these two memories work fine separately (read and write data).I’m using SDRAM as frame buffer for a 10.1? LCD (EMWIN library) and LTDC is always reading this buffer in order to refresh the LCD.In this mode, whenever I do a read operation on NAND flash, somehow LTDC operation will get compromised and pictures on the LCD will be distorted. After NAND read operation is over, LCD resumes its normal operation.I tried lowering LCD drive clock and it didn’t get any better. Also I’m using STM32F429 silicon revision 5.What should I do to use NAND and SDRAM at the same time without distortion on my lcd?

Hello all,Thank you.
Hello,I am getting an Internal Assert error. To be more precise:"framework/source/platform/driver/lcd/LCD16bpp.cpp #75".The call stack looks something like this:touchgfx::LCD::drawPartialBitmap()touchgfx::Image::draw() at Image.cpp:38 0x8017152 touchgfx::Screen::JSMOC() at 0x8052524 touchgfx::Screen::JSMOC() at 0x80524ce touchgfx::Screen::startSMOC() at 0x8052546 touchgfx::Screen::draw() at 0x8052572 touchgfx::Application::draw() at 0x8051402 touchgfx::Application::cacheDrawOperations() at 0x80518d0 touchgfx::HAL::tick() at 0x804d4d6 touchgfx::HAL::backPorchExited() at HAL.hpp:541 0x80294ce touchgfx::HAL::taskEntry() at 0x804d388 I inherit from image and want to display a dynamic bitmap on the image. The dynamic bitmap was previously populated by a CachableContainer. Can anyone tell me where the error is?
Hi ST Community,we want to create a graph in a CacheableContainer. So far this works as well.As soon as an additional GraphElementArea is instantiated (not added to the graph) there is an assertion fault when drawToDynamicBitmap(....) is executed. The drawToDynamicBitmap(...)is private and is part of the Proprietary code.Does anyone know the reason for this? Code:class cCacheableGraphContainer : public touchgfx::CacheableContainer{ public: cCacheableGraphContainer(); virtual ~cCacheableGraphContainer(){} virtual void initialize(void); void setContent(cGraphData* data); void updateContent(void); void setPosition(int16_t x, int16_t y, int16_t width, int16_t height); protected: void updateGraphRange(void); touchgfx::Box bgBox; touchgfx::GraphWrapAndOverwrite<144> dynamicGraph; touchgfx::PainterRGB565 dynamicGraphAreaPainter; touchgfx::PainterRGB565 dynamicGraphLinePainter; touchgfx::GraphElementArea dynamicGraphArea; cGraphVerticalLine graphLinesV; c
how can I open touchGFX new project for STM32L476RG NUCLEO when there is no option to choose this board or cpu in the touchGFX designer ?
Hi,I would like to show dynamic text in text area with wildcard. The text contains the 'new line' character (\n) to jump to next line. for example: "First Line \n Second Line " will be printed to screen:First LineSecond LineTouchGFX does not recognize the \n char, so how could this be done?Thank you
Hello,I'm working with touchGFX and I'm a beginner in it.Please do not mind if the question is not proper.I have generated a code using touchGFX but the code generated is in cpp language. Is there any way if I can code for touchGFX in c language.Thank you in advance.
Hi,I used the following menu in CubeMX to alter the Memory management scheme to heap_3, generated my code, and then switched back to heap_4: Afterwards, when trying to run it with the CubeIDE I get the following error: I'll note that when flashing through the TouchGFX Designer I get no such error.I tried to switch back and forth between them, re-regenerating my code, and deleting the STM32CubeIDE/Debug folder.Any help will be appreciated!Thank you
Hello everyone,I'm working on a new project using TouchGFX in STM32CubeIDE, I don't understand why I have include problems, especially that a file is recognized in one file and not in an other...Here is my includes : I've got these errors :What is weird is that error does not exist in all the files which include FrontendHeap.hpp ! I'm really confused about that, if you have any idea..Thanks
Hi,I'm trying to add an image. Touchgfx is generating the code fine but when I compile the stm32cubeide it says "undefined reference to `image_icon_hourglass' ". Can anyone share their thought on what it could be?
Hi,I'm trying to display the temperature values ranging from -40 to +40 on TEXT PROGRESS in TouchGFX designer. Unfortunately, the values range only starts from 0.Can anyone help me with this? I'll be very grateful.
Hello,Do you have timeline for STM32H7 Dual Core -> Additional Software support available.when it will be available? I am interested in X-Cube-TouchGFX.ThanksTushar
I would like to know when touchgfx team can launch touchgfx with dual core support. I have 747I-disco and am using CubeIDE, but this is the question asked a month ago. I got an answer from touchGFX team we could get the support by the end of Jan, but now we have Feb. Any updates?
Hi,I want to set a common interaction for all buttons on screen. For this, I configured button interactions to call the same virtual function ButtonClicked(). How could I determine in this function, which button was clicked? Is there a way to tell TouchGFX to create a virtual function with a parameter of the clicked button?Thank You
Greetings AllI am implementing an ADC-based GUI on my board and my code is not building due to the abovementioned error (even when the file exists. I am using STMCubeMX(6.3.0), STM32CubeIDE (1.7.0) and TouchGFX(4.17.0) to develop my GUI. Most of these files are in the simulator folder so I figure there must be a way to omit them as I suspect that they may be giving me problems. This is for my final-year project and I am pressed for a solution. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
