I am using a TouchGFX generated code to display an image, but I am getting a really large file size discrepancy and I'm unsure why the difference is so large. First, there is the image that is saved in the assets folder of the TouchGFX folders. Resolution: 1280 x 260Bit Depth: 32File Size: 41.7 kBytesHowever, the file size that's in the flash when I build the project is MUCH biggerResolution: 347 x 50Bit Depth: UnknownFile Size: 1.27 MBytes I used the scalable image widget to add the image in the TouchGFX Designer. Am I misunderstanding this?
This is the basic idea, but now the dual-screen is bricked. Here is a Detail reading link to that - XDA Forums - LG G8X I need to know how to connect this Dual Screen motherboard to a Computer and installcustom firmware on it.Please Help.-SDK
Hello! I am new to TouchGFX Designer and I was wondering if there is a way to automate the process of importing Figma designs to TouchGFX Designer.

hello...I have a swipe container which consist of three pages ..what i have done is i want a scroll wheel in page 2 as screen, so i covered whole screen (page 2) with scroll wheel but when am doing swipe i can't able to swipe from page 2 to page 3..may i haves scroll wheel entire may be it is not working..is there any solution for this issue...if any please let me know..thank you..
I am trying to run a simple application with my Nucleo-L476RG where I only enable HSE clock and I activate the software pack TouchGFX, nothing else. Unfortunately I get these errors in STM32CubeIDE: No commands are in the main, only the usual init() and stuff. Where I can find these missing files?Thank you!
Hello,I'm using a stm32f7508-DK and so far I've only created a small gui (a page with a few functions). As I added more widgets and containers, the time to flash the board increased enormously. is that normal?? 1:46 min..
Is it possible to create 2 or more types in a custom trigger? i tried it with a komma, but i doesn't work.
How i can use touchgfx_printf("") in a c-File?
I created a very simple GUI in TouchGFX and generated the code. I then opened the .ioc file in ST32CubeMX and generated the code for each different IDE. The code works in STM32CubeIDE but fails for both EWARM and uVision. Obviously generating the code for each IDE before trying each IDE.In both EWARM and uVision, I managed to add all the include directories so that the projects could at least find all the .hpp files to try and build. In EWARM, I finally get the following output; STM32F769I_DISCO.out Error[Li005]: no definition for "BitmapDatabase::getInstanceSize()" [referenced from C:\TouchGFXProjects\test02\EWARM\STM32F769I_DISCO\Obj\Application\User\TouchGFX\target\generated\TouchGFXConfiguration.o] Error[Li005]: no definition for "BitmapDatabase::getInstance()" [referenced from C:\TouchGFXProjects\test02\EWARM\STM32F769I_DISCO\Obj\Application\User\TouchGFX\target\generated\TouchGFXConfiguration.o] Error[Li005]: no definition for "touchgfx::Texts::setLanguage(unsigned short)
After update TouchGFX 4.20.0 to 4.21.0, all fixed element on the screen don't stay where they are meant to be. I post the following image, in which the Text element and MORE-logo element are locked. But after simulation these elements are all arranged to the left up of the page. If I unlock those elements, there is then no such problems. How does that come?Best wishes,J.Pan
I am working with touchgfx 4.20.When I have an image in the root folder of the touchgfx I am able to display the image on th e LCD but when I make a folder in root folder and move the image there it runs into a hardfault. Can you please help me with this problem.e.g.TouchGFX\assets\images\image.png -> This worksTouchGFX\assets\images/ledscreen\image.png -> This does not workMy observation is with the boot screenFYI:- I dont have any spaces or wildcards in the folder path.FYI:- All of these images go to the Quadspi none of them are in the internal flash.
I'm really in need of some direction on how to get TouchGFX working on cheap LCD displays.I'm using a SPI based LCD in a RGB565 format. I've tested the write commands with images, fonts, etc. but TouchGFX is not transferring correctly. Here is my understanding of the engine and how to use it:Implemented a flushFrameBuffer method to transfer the buffer to the display:void TouchGFXHAL::flushFrameBuffer(const touchgfx::Rect& rect) { // Calling parent implementation of flushFrameBuffer(const touchgfx::Rect& rect). // // To overwrite the generated implementation, omit call to parent function // and implemented needed functionality here. // Please note, HAL::flushFrameBuffer(const touchgfx::Rect& rect) must // be called to notify the touchgfx framework that flush has been performed. // To calculate he start address of rect, // use advanceFrameBufferToRect(uint8_t* fbPtr, const touchgfx::Rect& rect) // defined in TouchGFXGeneratedHAL.cpp uint8_t *fbPtr = reinterpret_c
HelloI got LCD 240x320 connected via SPI to my STM32f429. LCD interface is RGB565.I have created buffer uint8_t buffer[240*320*2]; so, 1st im filling buffer with red color: for (int i=0;i<240*320*2;i+=2){ buffer[i]=0xf8; buffer[i+1]=0x00; }Then via spi its send to LCD, and I can see red color on display. All is working fine.I wanted to use DMA2D now. I have configured it as R2M, with 565 color output:hdma2d.Instance = DMA2D; hdma2d.Init.Mode = DMA2D_R2M; hdma2d.Init.ColorMode = DMA2D_OUTPUT_RGB565; hdma2d.Init.OutputOffset =0;and I tried:HAL_DMA2D_Start(&hdma2d, 0xf800, 0x200000c0, 240, 320); //0x200000c0 is my buffer adress //0xf800 -> @param pdata Configure the source memory Buffer address if // * Memory-to-Memory or Memory-to-Memory with pixel format // * conversion mode is selected, or configure // * the color value if Register-to-Memory mode is selected. But after that i got Pink color on display, insted of redIn what format/type I should sen
HeyWe are trying since a few days to reset our Display after Stop Mode, without much success. We are using a STM32F767IIT6 and a 480x272 Display, which is driven over the LTDC. Our code is appended. When the power button is pressed, we set a flag. We check the flag in the FreeRTOS idle hook. This because we experienced that we cannot wake up from de Stop Mode in an usual task. The Stopmode works, but after wakeup, the display is white, no elements are drawn. With debugging we found that after the reset of the LTDC, the tick of the TouchGFX model doesn't get called anymore. The same thing happens if we comment the enterstopmode line out.We found that if we do not set the LTDC reset bit, the TouchGFX model tick function does get called. But if we do not set the LTDC reset bit, our screen shows only a noise pattern after the Stopmode. How do I correctly reset the LTDC? How do I use the LTDC correct in combination with Stopmode? How is the LTDC bit correctly used?Thanky you in advance!void vA
I am using controller STM32H745BIT6 device with QSPI flash connected.I have configured the TouchGFX to keep images in external flash and also configured .LD file to create section ExtFlashSection. Am able to see the memory assigned to images in the STM32Cube IDE.The binary generated is around 2GB so I extract the external flash data manually to a new binary file and program this file seperately using Dedprog programmer SF100. The programming of external flash is succesfull and am able to see the data in external flash when I read the QSPI flash using the Dediprog software tool. When I try to debug the applciation it does not debug maybe due to the elf containg both Internal flash and external flash data. How do I generate the ELF for only internal flash? Also is there any way to separate internal flash data and external flash data automatically after compiling and generate seperate .bin files. Thanks
Hi,I am working with TouchGFX and an STM32H747I-DISCO. I have created a very simple project comprising two screens. Each screen has a box covering the entire canvas (one set to white and the other to black) plus a single button in the bottom right corner.I added an interaction for each screen so clicking the button swaps between screens. When I create this project in TouchGFX 4.19.1 and program it into the STM32H747I-DISCO board, a triangular shaped artefact or glitch appears momentarily in the top left and mid left positions of the display (see attached image) on each screen change.By comparison, I recreated the exact same project from scratch in an older version of TouchGFX (4.16.1) and that had no issue at either 16bpp or 24bpp.Could you investigate what is going wrong. I am rather stuck if this cannot be resolved as the issue is quite noticeable and would not be acceptable in a finished product. Also, I would like the option of using 16bpp which was possible in TouchGFX 4.16.1 but has
Hi, I'm working on a project using DSI to print LCD with STM32F769I-Eval.In this kit, there is a display module called B-LCD40-DSI1, and it has a OTM8009A.I build an example called LCD_DSI_CMDmode_SingleBuffer, and it worked. But after I changed numberOfLanes value to one and activate LP Mode only, It printed LCD display well, but its refresh rate was so slow.So I want to use High Speed Transmission, but It didn't work. Can I use B-LCD40-DSI1 with one data lane?
I have used TouchGFX tool and implemented HMI where the configuration is with 2 lane. Now i want to work with single lane DSI configuration on 32F769IDISCOVERY to B-LCD40-DSI1 Display. Does this works ?I have my own circuit designed by considering reference schematic from 32F769IDISCOVERY. Now i shall place New display with single lane DSI feature how could i validate DSI comm is correct or wrong. The issue might be hardware else software so how can i validate, is there any tool to test software is correct ?Regards,Kishore D
Hello,So in an earlier question, I asked about how I can suspend/restart multimode ADCs of the STM32F429 configured in the triple interleaved mode.To find an answer, I set up a blank project in which I periodically start/stopped the ADCs after different combinations of delays.I was able to successfully suspend/restart the ADCs in all combinations with no problem. My proof for that is that I'm able to see the noise introduced by ADCs sampling when they're running, on the input signal via an oscilloscope. Now I want to do the same thing but this time with the FreeRTOS and TouchGFX added. So I implemented the same code in my application as the following:///////// in screen1view: void Screen1View::handleTickEvent() { TickCounter++; if (TickCounter > 500) { //startADCs All_Init(); //initialize ADCs & DMA HAL_ADC_Start(&hadc3); HAL_ADC_Start(&hadc2); HAL_ADCEx_MultiModeStart_DMA(&hadc1, (uint32_t *)ADC_Buffer, 3000); TickCounter = 0; HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOE, GPI
I am new to STM products. I want to start a GUI project and I have 2 questions before I start with STM kit.My project will involve 2 size of touchscreen. they are 800x480 and 1024x600. any one out of the two would be finalised after prototype. which kit would be good to start prototyping to evaluate and develop using touchgfx ?I have one more question that can we change the display which is available on kit from 4.3 inch to 7 inch or 10 inch to evaluate our app? what expertise level is required for that?
I'm trying to create a new module for use with TouchGFX, not an ST demo board, but our own custom PCB.TouchGFX seems to allow only creating projects for existing demo boards (nucleo, etc.). When I do this I get an ioc file, and it shows TouchGFX under Software Packs in STM32CubeMX.How do you create a project for a new PCB that can be used with TouchGFX? When I try creating a project fresh in STM32CubeMX the option for Software Packs (TouchGFX) doesn't appear. I know the software pack is installed since it works fine when example generated in TouchGFX.We are trying to create a new project with an STM32L4R9 and a new LCD with MipiDSI interface. DSI LCD samples I have are 800x480 with RPi flex connection which should connect to the STM32L4R9I-DISCO using B-LCDAD-RPI1 adapter (we hope).Been using this unsuccesfully:MIPI-DSI Video Mode | TouchGFX DocumentationBoard Bring Up Introduction | TouchGFX DocumentationAlso:Has anyone gotten a DSI Display to work with an STM32? How about a DSI displ
I need an example how to tell linker that frontend store to external sdram..
