Dear all, I have an issue that only impacts floats and doubles when converted to strings using snprintf which are then stored to an SD card. The save is run in a dedicated task using TouchGFX and I am disabling dcache before and re-enabling after saving. If I write standard strings or integers (converted to strings via snprintf), there is no issue, the task exits normally and returns to the save screen. If I attempt to save any float or a double, the program has a Memory Management fault (attached). However, the data has been written to the card successfully. Would anyone be able to point me to a solution?
Hi,In the device we are designing, we would like to change the orientation of the screen depending on the actual orientation of the device as detected by the accelerometer. I have read the TouchGFX documentation and many posts on this forum and proceeded with the implementation. Unfortunately I encountered a problem that I hope to find a solution for here. The default orientation of the device is landscape and so when designing the GUI I started from this position. Once completed, I switched the screen orientation in TouchGFX Designer to portrait and laid out the objects again. Based on the generated code, I implemented two functions responsible for positioning objects on the screen - setupLandscapeScreen() and setupPortraitScreen(). I also duplicated all the graphics used on this screen and changed their 'Layout rotation' property to the opposite. I use two framebuffers in the project. When a change in orientation is detected, an event is generated which I handle in my screen presenter.
I have upgraded Touchgfx designer to latest version 4.21.4 .I created a new project and in the screen added a new line progress bar.I encountered linker errors c:\st\stm32cubeide_1.10.0\stm32cubeide\plugins\com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.gnu-tools-for-stm32.10.3-2021.10.win32_1.0.0.202111181127\tools\arm-none-eabi\bin\ld.exe: (.text._ZNK8touchgfx19PainterRGB888Bitmap5paintEPhssssh+0xfa): undefined reference to `touchgfx::paint::rgb888::lineFromARGB8888(unsigned char*, unsigned long const*, unsigned int, unsigned char)'collect2.exe: error: ld returned 1 exit statusmake: *** [makefile:100: EVK043013B.elf] Error 1and hence as per the FAQ suggestion included #include <touchgfx/hal/PaintRGB888Impl.hpp>in the view.cpp file.Which in turn leads me to this error:/../Middlewares/ST/TouchGFX/touchgfx/framework/include/touchgfx/hal/PaintRGB888Impl.hpp:140:35: error: 'blendL8CLUT' was not declared in this scope. Is this a known issue in the latest Touchgfx version? How to resolve this i
Test 1 conditions (freeze issue) :We want to stay active for 10s and go to into sleep mode for 10s in a loop using RTC wakeup. In the app, one task runs touchgfx and another handle the timeout to go to sleep. The condition to go to sleep is that the timeout of 10s is elapsed and that TouchGFXHAL::endFrame() as been called to be sure that touchgfx has finished refreshing. When the endFrame is called we disable interupt (DSI, LTDC, DMA2D, GFXMMU) in the function and a flag is set to allow to go to sleep. Before going to sleep, we execute : - taskENTER_CRITICAL(); - touchgfx task is suspended - A DSI command is triggered to put the screen in sleep mode - HAL_DMA2D_DeInit, HAL_GFXMMU_DeInit, HAL_DSI_DeInit and HAL_LTDC_DeInit - taskEXIT_CRITICAL(); - HAL_SuspendTick(); // Hal tick on timer 6 - CLEAR_BIT(SysTick->CTRL, SysTick_CTRL_ENABLE_Msk); // Freertos tick on systick&
What to do if I do not want to load my images to QSPI flash every time I upload the code?
Dear ST Support Team,I am writing to report a bug that I have encountered while using the STM32U585 microcontroller with FMC communication, the ST7789v LCD, IAR 8.50.9, and TouchGFX Designer v4.21.3.I have successfully ported the virtual API stack of TouchGFX to support my ST7789v LCD, and overall, the integration is functioning correctly. However, I have encountered an error during the project linking phase when attempting to use the tabs in TouchGFX Designer to draw lines or borders. The error message is as follows:"Error[Li005]: no definition for 'touchgfx::paint::tearDown()' [referenced from PainterRGB565.o(touchgfx_core.a)]"Configuration:Microcontroller: STM32U585LCD: ST7789vCommunication: FMCIDE: IAR 8.50.9TouchGFX Designer Version: v4.21.3Steps to Reproduce:Launch TouchGFX Designer v4.21.3.Attempt to use the tabs in TouchGFX Designer to draw lines or borders.During the project linking phase, encounter the following error:"Error[Li005]: no definition for 'touchgfx::paint::tearDow

Hi,I make a project with touchGFX Designer 4.21.1, I place a gauge but the display show only the indicator without needle.I try with a default indicator in library.with simulator is currect. screenViewBase::screenViewBase(){ __background.setPosition(0, 0, 480, 480); __background.setColor(touchgfx::Color::getColorFromRGB(0, 0, 0)); add(__background); Centro.setXY(-120, -101); Centro.setBitmap(touchgfx::Bitmap(BITMAP_OVERLAY_ID)); add(Centro); gauge1.setBackground(touchgfx::Bitmap(BITMAP_ALTERNATE_THEME_IMAGES_WIDGETS_GAUGE_MEDIUM_BACKGROUNDS_ACTIVE_ID)); gauge1.setPosition(128, 173, 240, 240); gauge1.setCenter(120, 120); gauge1.setStartEndAngle(-113, 112); gauge1.setRange(0, 100); gauge1.setValue(50); gauge1.setNeedle(BITMAP_ALTERNATE_THEME_IMAGES_WIDGETS_GAUGE_MEDIUM_N
I had a 3.5inch display with stm32G01CET.I had design some UI with many component in it.But it had only an image which the size about 400px x 200px is incomplete rendering. So I have no idea how do I fix it
Hi all,I bought a STM32F746G-DISCO board. I haven't received it yet. I'm looking at TouchGFX and it looks like it needs cubeMX although this page seems to suggest that it works with cubeMX and cubeIDE:Part of STM32 ecosystemTouchGFX Engine compiled library running on any STM32 microcontrollerSmooth interoperability with STM32Cube MCU Packages, STM32CubeMX and STM32CubeIDETouchGFX project examples using STM32CubeMX, STM32CubeIDE, and STM32Cube MCU PackagesIt looks like cubeMx is not required but the whole thing is just confusing. Could someone shed light into this pls.? If it works with both is there a place to see the benefits of one vs the other? Thanks.
Hello, I'm using STM32H743ZIT6 and have question about DE mode and HSD/VSD mode. In my LCD datasheet is MODE pin with which I can select mode:What are difference between them? If I use DE mode I do not need to generate VSYNC and HSYNC?
Can you please help me understand why the display of the STM32F769I-DISC board is not working anymore , it was fine 4 days ago , i recently installed the latest software packs and IDE's and tried to flash some custom application and the display was gone , I thought I was doing something wrong so I tried to flash the demo code from the st site still no luck , I have found that the display backlight is on and the right hand(please see the image highlighted in red) side is hot to touch (~45-60ish ). I am very positive that there was no short circuit or physical damage to the board.I want to know if the software configuration (from cube mx or touchgfx ) can damage the display ? If yes then please help me understand those scenarios . I will buy a new display but want to be sure that that new display also wont just stop working like this one did.
Dear. AllI'm asking how to use STemWin on stm32h743 mcu.The direct question is as follows. How to add STemWin on STM32CubeIDE? (Current Use Version. 1.12.1)The AN4323 document clearly says it supports, is there any change?I tried to download it myself, but I can't find it. (STM32CubeH7)There is no separate explanation for open source in Github. (STM32CubeH7 and README.mdWhere can I download it?Where is the manual for application? Please let me know if there are any issues such as the suspension of STemWin support.
Hello thereI wanted to learn STemwin fully using the free version of emwin which bought by ST. I used "User Guide and Reference Manual" to learn. I have 2 questions:is there any online tutorials with videos that I can use to understand the features better?on chapter 4, there is a simulation application which can be used using Microsoft Visual Studio. it needs some emwin files called "emwin simulator". where can I find them online? I thought if the emwin software is bought by ST, I can also access to these "emwin simulator" files too...can any one help? many thanks in advance🙇
Hi,I have an application using STM32H7B3, SBSFU and TouchGFX. We are running out of flash space so we want to place TouchGFX images to external flash. I understand that to achieve this, we need two SBSFU active and download slots. The first active slot and download slot are for application code, and they need to be placed in the internal flash with read protection. Images don't need read protection, so the second active slot and download slot can be used for them in the external flash.I am wondering can this be achieved with SBSFU and are there any examples? There is the 2_Images_ExtFlash example for B-L475E-IOT01A, but it has both download slots placed in the external flash which we cannot do since the active firmware slot would be swapped there and it has no read protection. Although, I am a bit confused since the example has no SWAP area so how does it even work? Thanks!
I am not asking about the i2c Bus busy / idle , need to verify if the LCD is busy or not ...the Busy flag bit D7 is used as the SDA in i2c mode so noway to directly read it ....solutions would be appreciated Thank you
My goal is simple: I want to capture an image, even as small as 50x50 pixels. I have tried interfacing the OV7670 with an STM32F407, but unfortunately, I haven't been able to get it to work. I don't have any issue with the ESP8266 - my trouble lies with the OV7670.I have been working through various guides and libraries, but it seems like I'm missing something. Can anyone point me to a comprehensive guide or a reliable library for the OV7670? Or perhaps someone who has succeeded in using this camera module could give me some advice?
I'm trying to drive 7 inch 800x480 display from STM32F750-DK by replacing inbuilt 4.3 inch 480x272 display. I'm using application template from TouchGFX designer designed for 4.3 inch 480x272 display. I followed stpes this forum answer and get relavant values from display datasheet. Also I followed this video. I have changed the values in LTDC configration and TouchGFX generator according to my display.I have changed the "Start Address 2" by adding 16x480x800/8 to the "Start Address" I'm using RGB565 as in the Application template that's why it is 16, not 24. (But I tried using 24 and RGB888 configuration as well. But it also had that same issue.) Finally I was able to drive static screens. But the problem is when something change in the display, display is shaking(objects are moving here and there). For better clarity I have attached the videoI have pasted screenshots as wellFrom the TouchGFX designer I just only put pink box as backgound to fill the area.Same issu
Static Image is working correctly but as soon as there is transition the images tends to get abrupt and scattered.
I have a custom board with STM32F429BIT6 connected to a 4.3inch LCD through LTDC interface. Touch panel controller is XPT2046 connected to microcontroller on SPI1. Everything works well. Except that I cannot press and hold any button. The button releases automatically even if I am holding it. The values of X and Y read from XPT2046 are stable so there is no issue in that area. Is there some setting in TouchGFX code which I might be missing. On DISCOVERYF429 board (which has on board LCD) I can press and hold the button if I want to. Can anyone guide me? Please.
I recently bought a STM32h747i-DISCO board from DIGIKEY. After uploading a standard demo program from touch GFX the display was working fine for approximately 10 seconds, then it shows distorted or horizontal lines and it gets worse after some time. Every time when I unplug and connect it to my laptop the display works fine for 10 sec and afterwards the same problem occurs. Why is this happening?I have attached the images of the display. Any suggestions?
So downloaded code from ST website (i.e. https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stm32cubeh7.html - version 1.11.0) then built the CM4 and then the CM7 project for the BSP example. This builds ok, but when I load onto the board the LCD display just displays random pixels. Any ideas ? Thanks.
