Hello Team,I have configured the lwip middleware but unable to ping with my laptop and when I connect ethernet cable from laptop to the stm32f769 controller I am getting pbuf error (Assertion "pbuf_free: p->ref > 0").Is there any need to configure MPU, if so also please let me know how to select base address..please find the attached screenshots.could you please help me in configuration when freertos is enabled. Thanksvamshi kumar
Hi all, I had created an example project Tx_Thread_Creation for NUCLEO-F767ZI board and enabled Threadx.I had also enabled the USART 2 peripheral and also enabled the USART driver under HAL Drivers under the software packages, but the USART Driver files are not added to the "Drivers/STM32F7xx_HAL_Driver/" folder. Attached the project for your reference as a zip file. Please check it once and let me know how to fix the issue. Thanks,
Hello All,While working on a design i was stuck in a point where in i have to map PSRAM pins --> FMC_clk on a port of MCU(STM32N647A0) which is available on PC10 but it is conflicting with SPI3_SCK.Please anyone can suggest solution on this. My design required both SPI3 as well PSRAM. Also, i tried for XSPIM_P1 Pins but in STM32N647A0 these pins are available on PO port which is not available in STM32N647A0 MCU. Please guide in this.Best Regards,Sakshi
Hello everyone, I have been researching and developing the stm32f072c8t6-based development board for about a few months without any converter or St-link programmer products, so I am choosing USB line products specifically. But there is a problem that this MCU cannot connect directly to the computer, the MCU needs a USB Hub (Forum link at the bottom of this post.)I have reviewed a few application notes, but the MCU does not require any external circuits or components for USB connection.(If I missed it, forgive me.)Especially ST employees, can we implement a circuit design that can solve this situation or bypass it?By the way, when I watch the MCU's communication with the Computer with the Logic analyzer, I see that it constantly gives this table Dec:name type start_time duration value (Numbers are seconds)USB LS and FS v1frame -0.000000083 0.000000667 SYNCUSB LS and FS v1frame 0.000000583 0.000000667 PID SOFUSB LS and FS v1frame 0.00000125 0.000000917 Frame # 0x166USB LS and
Hello All, I am in a process to develop a board for consumer able wearable application, which uses some sensors. So, can anyone help to review my schematic Design. Please let me know, if anyone can help me out in this. Best Regards, Sakshi
Hi All,Does the SBSFU reserve all of the DTCM in an H7 (stored state information, etc., expected to be stable across Core resets) such that the application shouldn't touch any of it after beginning execution? The "Protected RAM ..." note in AN5056 Figure 12 implies this, or am I reading it wrong? Thanks!
Reading through the initial datasheet for this part I thought we could get away with using the USB_FS_VBUS as the VDDUSB pin as I didn't see a dedicated pin for the VBUS. It is now becoming apparent that this was misguided. Are there anyways to bring up the USB features of this chip at voltages below 2.7VDC? I have attached the relevant schematics below. On the board I have access to 5V vbus, 3.8V and 1.8V. We brought down all IO voltages to 1.8V to get away from having to use a level shifter to talk with the AFE.
I started out by using the stock 4.3" display on the STM32H735G-DK Discovery Kit and with TouchGFX I was able to get a nice example project running. Now I am attempting to interface a 7" 800x480 LCD panel with the kit. This panel uses the EK9713CA driver IC. The datasheet for the panel lists these timing characteristics: Can some one please help me understand how to enter these into the LTDC configuration page on STM32CubeMX? I've attempted to figure this out several different ways and I just keep getting a blank screen and the code just hangs during execution. I suspect the issue is in the how I am entering these timings.
Hello All,We need to configure STM32H757XIH6U (from STM32H747I Eval board) to work with 1024 X 600 LCD with RGB configuration (TFT), Found few references to set the Parameters using the STM32CubeMX. We tried to select the board, set the Display Controller to LCD TFT Controller, set the proper RGB, Hsync, Vsync Clk, Enable Pins, set the Width, height to 1024 and 600. Even all the pins were mapped. Now once the pins are set after the build every time we found the Application is been using the default DSI for initialization but not the TFT.Kindly let us know, if are we missing something or any more further setting needs to taken care to Display and Sense the User touch for the Touch screen. We have a working application build in touch gfx which senses the button click and display the Screens on the 800 X 480 display over DSI. the same has to work for 1024X 600 using RGB to sense and display the images. If there is anything more to try or any direction to solve it, then kin
Hi, I`m totally new to STM32 MCUs and started a project for an application using the STM32L4P5CG MCU, I´m in the step of selecting a correct external LDO voltage regulator, I look at the PCC of STM32IDE but it seems confusing for me how to use it (I wanted the current consuption estimation) , I would like to know what should be the maximum current needed for my LDO voltage regulator based on the current my MCU will consume, I look at the datasheet for the mentioned MCU and found this, So if the maximum current into sum of all VDD power lines is 200mA for the MCU, the minimum current needed for my LDO voltage regulator is 200mA? because the MCU can deliver more current than the current it accepts, is this correct? Hope you can help me, its the first time I´m doing this desing with STM32 MCUs
Hi,I don't understand the behavior of EOC bit of ADC_ISR register at the end of conversion process. My micro code is STM32H563VGT6.I start from example "ADC_SingleConversion_TriggerSW_Init".As the example I have to convert a single channel, single conversion mode. This the problem:after I start the conversion, the bit EOC and EOS go high togheter. But EOC then goes low, with no reset by software and any read of the register ADC_DR.The DMA is not active. Then when I loop with this condition:while ( ! LL_ADC_IsActiveFlag_EOC() )I stuck in the loop. Why this behavior?Thank you.
I want to evaluate a particular GaN FET found on an EPC9167 inverter board. It has a connector on it that allows it to interface to an ST NUCLEO G432RB board. The firmware "out of the box" is set up to run a particular motor. I need to adjust the sensoless parameters to run a different motor. I don't see any example projects in the Motor Control Workbench 6.4.0 that pair the NUCLEO G432RB board with the EPC9167 inverter board. Anyone ever done this before?
Hi,I'm using STM32H755 nucleo board. I'm having freertos + LWIP on M7 core and bare metal on M4. I'm using TCP command to start some real time test on core M4. I'm using shared memory to trigger test and also transmitting some data back to M7 core. I'm having occasional problem. I am getting hardfault on M7 core. I'm looking fault analyzer with following results:I'm not sure how I can find root cause for the problem? It seems that something goes wrong with tcpip_thread.
[PN]: Custom Board[VERSION]: 6.4.0 [TOOL]: MC WB[DETAILS]: I am using a custom board with a single shunt current sensing topology. However, in the Motor Control Workbench (MC WB), I cannot enable the "Current Reading" configuration option. I have seen that in ST evaluation boards, such as those with single shunt implementations, this option can be enabled without issue. I expect the same functionality to be available on custom boards as well.[EXPECTED BEHAVIOR]: "Current Reading" settings should be configurable when a single shunt topology is used, as is the case with ST’s own boards. I expect to be able to enable this section in the tool for my configuration.[HOW TO REPRODUCE]: Create a new project in MC Workbench v6.4.0. Select "Custom Board" and configure it with a single shunt current sensing topology. Try to access and enable the "Current Reading" configuration tab. Observe that this option is grayed out or inaccessible, even though it should be available for single shunt setups.&
Hello,I am trying to control the speed of a PMSM with hall sensors. We are getting many random speed feedback errors that causes the drive to stop. When I looked at the code (hall_speed_pos_fdbk.c), I was surprised to find that the parameter bMaximumSpeedErrorsNumber is pretty much useless. Whenever the fault will occur, the count is set to the maximum value and the drive trips. This makes the code extremely fragile in noisy environments. Is there any way to fix this?else{bReliability = false;pHandle->_Super.bSpeedErrorNumber = pHandle->_Super.bMaximumSpeedErrorsNumber;/* If speed is not reliable the El and Mec speed is set to 0 */pHandle->_Super.hElSpeedDpp = 0;*hMecSpeedUnit = 0;}Thanks
Hello,I have a PCB with just an SWD connector and an STM32L053R8T6 populated. I'm running example code to measure standby and stop currents. For standby, I'm reading 0.5 uA, which is within the limits given in the datasheet.I am not getting the expected results in STOP mode: the current is ~14 uA instead of the expected <1 uA.The code I am using is from PWR/PWR_STOP/Src/main.c (attached), where it just enters STOP mode after a 2s delay. I have not configured any wake up sources. The current measurements are shown below. One thing to notice is that some peripheral seems to be waking up every 2 minutes. I ruled out the system tick and the watchdog. The debugger is not attached to the connector when collecting these measurements.Below are the same measurements taken after changing the code as:- HAL_PWR_EnterSTOPMode(PWR_LOWPOWERREGULATOR_ON, PWR_STOPENTRY_WFE);+ HAL_PWR_EnterSTANDBYMode();In standby mode the average current drops to 0
Hi ,We are working on NUCLEO- F401RE board for motor control and to configure & generate code MC WorkBench(version 6.3.2) is used. We have driven single motor, but we are not able to configure for dual motor below pop up appeared:Hardware Setup:Motors:Power Board:Control Board:Connections:Is there incorrect configuration, or could you please suggest any other combination for dual motor (preferred control board f4 or f7)?Thanks,Harsh
Has anyone gotten the HyperRAM on the STM32H735G-DK board working with Zephyr?
Hello ST Community, Looking for the below details. I am new to ST Micro family. I came across the STM32WL55 and STM32WLE5 Chip set. Currently I have ordered STM32WL55JC1 nucleo board and STM32WLE5 seed studio wi-e5 development board. I am planning to use the STM32WL integerated Lora modules for Lora multi hop technology for my project. that means all the device I am going to deploy have the STM32WL55or E5 based on the finalization. I would like to communciate all the lora modules to receive or forward the data to next available lora module to all the way to a NB-IOT based deviuce which would forward to our own cloud space. My questions are follow1. Can I use the both STM32WL or E5 as a individual node to do point to point communication also an forwarder to forward it to form a multi hop network?2. If I order the STM32WL55 or E5 chip will it come same as the one I found in the development board? because the one i found in a development board has a Rf shield with ibuilt compo
I need some example code for how to wake from stop using UART on the STM32L051.
Hi everyone,I am dealing with the configuration of a PWM in center-aligned mode in the context of the stm32H755 MCU. Such PWM is managed using TIM1 as "driver". The application requires to change every 100 us (TIM1 period) the ARR register to make it last a little bit longer/shorter at every cycle.I am running into the issue of updating the ARR register and noticing that while the expected output duty should be 100%, it is not. A very small peak down can be seldomly noticed on the oscilloscope. As of today, the only solution I have implemented is the check for up-counting and downcounting of TIM1 (100 us + 100 us), updating the ARR register only in down-counting instances, avoiding the peak. But in this case the control running in the background is underperforming, actuating once every 2 hits.I have found on the datasheet the ARPE bit, for what concerns my application I think it might help in my case but i would love to have some confirmations. Do I avoid the "peak issue" just setting t
I've been able to successfully use Bitmap::dynamicBitmapCreateExternal() when just loading a bitmap in the frontendappliation and setting up the cache there...FrontendApplication::FrontendApplication(Model& m, FrontendHeap& heap) : FrontendApplicationBase(m, heap) { /* * Initialize dynamic bitmap cache; * bookkeeping memory for external bitmaps not stored in cache */ uint16_t* const cacheStartAddr = (uint16_t*)myBmpCache; const uint32_t cacheSize = sizeof(myBmpCache); Bitmap::setCache(cacheStartAddr, cacheSize, 1); void* srcPtr = logoGetImagePtr(); BitmapId bmpId = Bitmap::dynamicBitmapCreateExternal(LCD_X_Size, LCD_Y_Size, srcPtr, Bitmap::RGB888, 0); oprSetLogoBmpId(bmpId); }I also must be able to load in a different bitmap image is selected by the user and have been able to do this successfully as well by clearing the cache... if (logoImportCustomLogo(&fileLoad.filename[value][0]) == Result_success) { uint8_t* ptr = logoGetImagePtr(); /* * Initializ
I am working on a project with a STM32H573, using the external tamper lines. CubeMX version 6.14.1.For configuring certain IN/OUT pins for the TAMP peripheral, RM0481 says that bits in the TAMP_OR register must be set:However, these bits are not set correctly in the initialisation code. Indeed, it seems that there is no mechanism in any functions in stm32h5xx_hal_rtc_ex.c to set TAMP->OR, and no relevant flags in RTC_ATampInputTypeDef or RTC_ActiveTampersTypeDef.There is obviously an easy workaround of setting the bits manually at initialisation.
I’m developing a custom BLE server on an STM32WB5MM-DK using STM32CubeWB HAL, the Sequencer (UTIL_SEQ), and the HW TimeServer (HW_TS) for periodic tasks. I implemented a repeated LED blink. With CFG_DEBUGGER_SUPPORTED set to 1, the LED toggles on/off every ~5 s as expected. With CFG_DEBUGGER_SUPPORTED set to 0, the LED never blinks, though BLE advertising and characteristic updates continue.I’ve tuned low-power settings and task scheduling, but the OFF callback (and thus the blink sequence) never runs when CFG_DEBUGGER_SUPPORTED is off. I suspect there is something wrong between Stop mode and the Sequencer/timers, but can’t pinpoint the issue./* In Custom_APP_Init(): register tasks & create timers */ UTIL_SEQ_RegTask(1 << CFG_TASK_LEDON, UTIL_SEQ_RFU, LEDONTask); UTIL_SEQ_RegTask(1 << CFG_TASK_LEDOFF, UTIL_SEQ_RFU, LEDOFFTask); HW_TS_Create(CFG_TIM_LEDON_ISR, &Custom_App_Context.LEDON_TIMER_ID, hw_ts_Repeated, LEDON_TIMER_ISR); HW_TS_Create(CFG_TIM_LE
