Hello,I'm using the board NUCLEO-H563ZI paired with RVA35HI screen. When I just created the project and generated the code i could download the touchgfx project with the touchgfx application ("program and run target" option), but after trying to download it with IAR IDE (and having problems with it) the system is not working anymore; the screen stays white and when i try to generate with cubemx, the popup message on touchgfx asking if i want to reload after the changes is not showing up anymore. It seems that touchgx and cubemx aren't synchronized anymore. When i said i have problems with IAR i mean these messages when i try to debug:1- "There were warnings while generating flash loader input. See the Debug Log window for details"2- "There were 2 errors and 1 warning during the initialization of the debugging session. There is more infrmation in the Debug Log window. Do you want to continue the "Run to" command?"The dubugger stops in the HardFault_Handler. Do you have any experi
I am trying to get the USB CDC (Virtual COM Port) working on my STM32H743VIT6. I have successfully used this exact setup in the past, I would normally flash the code via ST-Link, plug in the USB micro USB cable, and the COM port would appear in Device Manager for Tera Term. However, currently, the device refuses to exit DFU mode and enumerate as a COM port, even after flashing the application code. step that i have done: 1. I pull BOOT0 to 3.3V to enter the bootloader. Device Manager correctly shows DFU in FS Mode 2. I upload my .elf file (My application code includes HAL_PWREx_EnableUSBVoltageDetector(); in main().) using STM32CubeProgrammer. The upload verifies successfully. 3. I disconnect power, move BOOT0 to GND, and reset Issue: The Device Manager still shows "DFU in FS Mode". It does not switch to the Virtual COM Port (CDC). My Question: What specific steps should I take to force the board to exit DFU mode. I want the device to boot directly into my application and enumera
I'm trying to understand how the HDPL1 is calculated based on an OBK file.I have dumped the contents of HDPL1 / 0x0BDF0100 and can see that for a 16 length password, I have 96 bytes written, as follows0x0BFD0100 to 0x0BFD0120, unknown calc, how is this calculated?0x0BFD0120 to 0x0BFD0140 SHA-256 of password0x0BFD0140 to 0x0BFD0160 zeros
Hi all I have STM32 IDE installed in "C:\STM\STM32CubeIDE_1.19.0\STM32CubeIDE" and seem to work properly so far as I am on installing the 2 programs. I try to install TouchGFX 4.26.0 in "C:\STM\ to have those two in the same area., but I received an errorlike this one: Could not set file security for file "C:\STM". ERROR 5.........So anyone have an idea ?Thanks all.
Hello, I would like to know the H264 VENC performance for the STM32N6 using the ST example: STM32Cube_FW_N6_V1.1.1/Projects/STM32N6570-DK/Applications/VENC/VENC_RTSP_ServerI have a hardware setup with a nucleo-n657x0-q + a ST B-CAMS-IMX camera module.Question 1: The example provided by the STM32CUBE_FW is for STM32N6570-DK. Will it also work for the nucleo-n657x0-q Thank you.
Hello,I am trying to run a touchscreen with STM32H7R7L8Hx and I am having multiple issues. This is the structure I used, I am using FreeRTOS and TouchGFX in the STM32CubeMX. Years ago I run a touchscreen with STM32H7A3RITx, it was easy because it was not asking project structure. When I add FreeRTOS it is adding both locations, I know I can simply exclude from build the top one but there are more issues. In the TouchGFX Designer it can't find the project file so it can't add include paths and source files correctly, so I have to make it manually. I think this is the most important problem, TouchGFX uses older version of FreeRTOS but STM32CubeMX adds newer version of FreeRTOS and I am not able to select FreeRTOS version.STM32CubeMX Version: 6.16.0TouchGFX Version: 4.26.0How can I solve these issues? Thank you.
I have been working on an IoT project using STMicroelectronics' STM32 microcontrollers, and I have encountered a unique challenge around power management. My system needs to run on minimal power to ensure long battery life in remote applications, but I am facing issues with inconsistent power consumption during sleep modes. Here’s the problem:Despite using the low-power modes like Sleep, Standby, and Stop in STM32, I am seeing unexpected power drain when the device is supposed to be in a low-power state.I have implemented HAL libraries and checked my hardware, but I still get around 10-20mA of current draw when the microcontroller is supposed to be in the Stop mode. Some potential solutions I have considered:Reviewing the clock configurations to ensure the system isn't inadvertently running unnecessary peripherals.Using the dynamic voltage scaling feature, but I'm not sure if I’m configuring it properly.Checking for interrupt handling issues that might keep the MCU active unintentionally
Hi,I’m trying to read internal temperature sensor on ADC1, but the ADC result is always 4095.I use STM32L471, and I know that the problem is not HW related, when I run a different bin it reads the temp ok.Tried to read VREFINT, raw value is also 4095.Attached below screenshots with clock tree configuration and code.p.s. also tested with different clock speeds and sample cycles with no luck.
Sir can i use the stm32 cube ide for the commercial in free of cost. is there any limitation pls tell me
We have a query regarding STM32U375 PKA peripheral. As per datasheet, the peripheral is available for this variant. Under the "STM32Cube/Repository/STM32Cube_FW_U3_V1.2.1/Drivers/STM32U3xx_HAL_Driver/" we can also see that stm32u3xx_hal_pka.c and stm32u3xx_hal_pka.h driver files are available. However, the ST official product page - does not seem to mention this peripheral as a part of STM32U375 series. Also, we cannot see this peripheral in graphical configuration .ioc. Please let us know if this is available as part of STM32U375 series and how to use it.We also need STM32U375.svd for debugging support, please share this file.
I have a project which runs fine using CMOX_PQC_ML_DSA_44_DET_SIGN_LOWRAM_ALGO but I would like to see how much faster I can get with CMOX_PQC_ML_DSA_44_DET_SIGN_ALGO. When I use it, cmox_pqc_dsa_sign returns 0x9000c, which apparently means "Not enough memory".I am also wandering what kind of memory we are speaking about because it does not seems to request heap memory and I don't expect it to detect if stack is large enough at runtime.I am going to have exactly the same question for CMOX_PQC_ML_DSA_65_DET_SIGN_ALGO and CMOX_PQC_ML_DSA_87_DET_SIGN_ALGO.Perhaps a more general question: is there a documentation for the cmox_pqc library ?
I want to use ILID9341 screen on STM32F407G-DISC1 without any libraries, just spi protocol. However, while the screen turns on, I can't draw anything on it. Why is this the case?This is SPI configuration.I have checked the physical wiring, and it seems to be correct.This is the code that is relevant for the LCD screen (there is also a code for functions for reading values from accelometer, which is probably not relevant).#define RST_GPIO_PORT GPIOD #define RST_GPIO_PIN GPIO_PIN_9 #define DC_GPIO_PORT GPIOB #define DC_GPIO_PIN GPIO_PIN_14 #define SET_ROW_CMD 0x2B #define SET_COL_CMD 0x2A #define SET_COLOR_CMD 0x2C void Reset_Screen() { HAL_GPIO_WritePin(RST_GPIO_PORT, RST_GPIO_PIN, GPIO_PIN_RESET); // pull low HAL_Delay(10); HAL_GPIO_WritePin(RST_GPIO_PORT, RST_GPIO_PIN, GPIO_PIN_SET); // release reset HAL_Delay(120); } void Write_Rectangle(uint16_t row_lower, uint16_t row_higher, uint16_t col_lower, uint16_t col_higher, uint16_t color) { //16 bit/pixel color order (R:5-bit,

Hello. I try to start a new project with two non-listed motors in Workbench. I use two gimbal 3-phase BLDC motor with encoder AS5048A https://cdn.sparkfun.com/assets/d/6/b/5/8/27477_27478_Datasheet.pdf Based on the motorShinano.json file, I built my own JSON file, please see below. However, I have the following questions. What to write in the compatibility: "sixStep"? The motor has the encoder. Hence, should TRUE be for HasHallSensor? I use a Pololu power board (voltage regulator) https://www.pololu.com/product/5576 and two Sparkfun 3-phase BLDC motor drivers https://www.sparkfun.com/sparkfun-brushless-motor-driver-3-phase-tmc6300.html . Therefore, what to write for pwr_board? What to write for foc_rate? What to write for acceleration and max_speed_startup? Thank you. {"id": "motorSparkfun","label": "Sparkfun DM3505/3505EC","hardwareFamily": "MOTOR","description": "Outer rotor type - 11 poles pairs - brushless DC motor with encoder", "compatibility": ["FOC", "s
Dear ST Community, I have a working application for USB PD SPR and EPR and now I want to change the voltage (power profile) during an active contract. So e.g. I have 5V currently and want to request 9V from the source, or I have 20V currently and want to switch to 28V (EPR).How to do that? According to the USB Specification you would send a "Get Source Capability" Request so I used USBPD_DPM_RequestGetSourceCapability() [or USBPD_PE_Send_ExtendeControlMessage(m_uPort, USBPD_EXTENDED_CONTROL_EPR_GETSRCCAPA) in EPR]. Then the source responds with it's capabilities. USBPD_DPM_SetDataInfo gets called with the PDOs but USBPD_DPM_SNK_EvaluateCapabilities is never called afterwards....In SPR Mode nothing happens, voltage stays the same. In EPR Mode 30ms later a hard reset is triggered. Why does the ST Stack not Evaluate Capabilities after successfull reception of PDOs? According to USB Spec as a Sink we always need to respond to a capabilities message with our "wish".....&n
I have designed a STM32H723 board with LAN8742A PHY IC and its connected to a Hanrun HR911105A Magjack. I am running the Ethernet stack on mongoose network library. The stack is working perfectly on a STM32H7 Nucleo Board, the link auto-negotiates to 100Mbps Full duplex speed. Unfortunately, on the custom board, the link auto negotiates to 100M full-Duplex but ARP resolution fails(the link works fine at 10M speed). The schematic and layout are highly inspired by the STM32H723 Nucleo and the LAN-8742A evaluation board. I am attaching the schematic(PHY side, cannot show the STM side due to NDA reasons) and debug messages from LAN8742A registers for the same. Some Notes on the Layout: The Board is a 8 layer PCB. Majority of the routing has been done on the top and bottom layers. Layer 2 is the reference layer for the 100ohm differential TX and RX lines. The TX and RX digital lines ( from PHY to STM) are roughly matched to 50 ohm impedance. I can't show more than this unfortunately, b
Greetings,I am trying my hands on STM32WLE5CCU6 and want to encrypt variable length data using inbuild encrypt hardware or feature of the controller. I am generating a byte array of variable length. Is it possible to encrypt that array ? In an example i have seen an array of 32bits but not 8 bits. Please guide me.
It would be helpfull to have couple of function in addition toHAL_GPIO_WritePin( GPIO_TypeDef *GPIOx, uint16_t GPIO_Pin, GPIO_PinState PinState )for cases when pin state is known in advance (not result of calculation in runtime)void HAL_GPIO_SetPin (GPIO_TypeDef *GPIOx, uint16_t GPIO_Pin) { assert_param(IS_GPIO_PIN(GPIO_Pin)); GPIOx->BSRR = (uint32_t) GPIO_Pin; } void HAL_GPIO_ClearPin (GPIO_TypeDef *GPIOx, uint16_t GPIO_Pin) { assert_param(IS_GPIO_PIN(GPIO_Pin)); GPIOx->BRR = (uint32_t) GPIO_Pin; }Props:1 One parameter less2 One assert less3 No condition check4 Less typing5 Less work in runtime6 Better search. One can serach SetPin or ClearPin instead of all HAL_GPIO_WritePin at first and then see pin state value in common list.7 Sense of command in one place instead of combination of command_name + parameter_value8 More uniform with HAL_GPIO_TogglePin. Set, Clear, Toggle have the same signatureEdited to apply source code formatting - please see How to insert
This is my first foray into STM32. I bought a couple of WIOE5 lora modules. This post will not let me post links to the the WIOE5 datasheet. I bought an STlink V3mini from Waveshare. There is not a datasheet available from waveshare. I downloaded STM32 Cube Programmer. I have read that before using the Arduino IDE to program the STM32, I need to install a bootloader via cube programmer. While trying to upload a bootloade via cube programmer, I have a steady 3.3 volt power supply going to my MCU/pcb. My understanding is that the STM32 mcu needs to be externally powered before using the STlinkV3. When powered, I can confirm with a DMM that I am getting about 3.27 volts to the STlink. The cube programmer says that my target voltage is 3.25 but it will not connect. The error message is “No STM32 target found! If your product embeds debug authentication, please perform a discovery using Debug Authentication”. The WIOE5 module is brand new, never been programmed before. I want to
Hi everyone,I am encountering an issue while trying to run the Zephyr Bluetooth peripheral sample on a Nucleo-WB55RG board.I am currently working with the Zephyr main branch (specifically commit v4.3.0-2267-g3be4c4c5a819).Hardware & Firmware Setup:Board: Nucleo-WB55RGFUS Version: V2.2.0.0Wireless Stack: V1.20.0.2 (stm32wb5x_BLE_HCILayer_fw)Zephyr Version: v4.3.0-2267-g3be4c4c5a819I have explicitly started the Wireless Stack on the M0+ core (using STM32CubeProgrammer), but upon booting the Zephyr application on the M4 core, I get a kernel oops regarding an HCI command timeout after like 10 seconds.Error Log:*** Booting Zephyr OS build v4.3.0-2267-g3be4c4c5a819 *** [00:00:00.017,000] <inf> fs_nvs: 2 Sectors of 4096 bytes [00:00:00.017,000] <inf> fs_nvs: alloc wra: 0, fe8 [00:00:00.017,000] <inf> fs_nvs: data wra: 0, 0 ASSERTION FAIL [err == 0] @ WEST_TOPDIR/zephyr/subsys/bluetooth/host/hci_core.c:506 Controller unresponsive, command opcode 0xfc0c timeout with
helloI want to use your api to speed up the developpment of a driver based on spi communication, this function seemed appropriate in your stlink-v3-bridge-v1-2-0:Brg_StatusT Brg::ReadSPI(uint8_t *pBuffer, uint16_t SizeInBytes, uint16_t *pSizeRead)unfortunatly I found this comment:* In #SPI_DIRECTION_2LINES_FULLDUPLEX dummy data are sent while receiving.and i check with a scope that it is the case (data written are '0'),this is a pity because read/write are frequently simultaneous in spi,is there a possibility to send data instead of dummy in the mean time we are reading ?regardsBenjamin
STM32f103In the design guide it recommends to have something switching between vcc and gnd with 10kOhm series resistor, and i need my design to be grounded by default so i may not solder the header even, is it okay if i left the design like fig 1 instead of fig 2, and would it cause issues if i needed to pull it high?
Hi all - I am building an isolated power converter using a three phase forward converter topology. Each phase has a half bridge driving a transformer primary w.r.t. Vin/2 (split Vin). The transformer has a mid-tap secondary, rectified effectively acting like a buck regulator at 2x the primary frequency. I am using the HRTIM hardware to drive this.So far it works great - I have my three phases A/B/C programmed like so (each has high-side 1, low-side 2):A resets on master update, A1 set on A update, reset on A cmp1, A2 set on A cmp2, reset on A cmp3.B resets on master cmp1, B1 set on master cmp1, reset on B cmp1, B2 set on B cmp2, reset on B cmp3.C resets on master cmp2, C1 set on master cmp2, reset on C cmp1, C2 set on C cmp2, reset on C cmp3.The master cmp1 and cmp2 are set at phase angles 60, 120. The maset compares and all three cmp2 are fixed, while the cmp1 and cmp3 are all set by the feedback code. Works perfectly. For continuou
Dear colleagues, Thanks to the recommendations of STTwo-32 , we have managed to establish communication between the BLE_CableReplacement on the b_wb1m_wpan1 module and our modified version of the ST BLE Sensor application on an Android smartphone. Since STM does not plan to open the source code of the ST BLE Toolbox, we used ST BLE Sensor as a base and modified the code as we understood it. However, during development, some issues have arisen: 1. We can only transmit data from the smartphone in response to receiving data from the WB module — meaning we have achieved half-duplex communication, not full-duplex as intended. 2. Main problem: We experience packet loss when attempting to send data to the smartphone at intervals below 100 ms. The issue becomes noticeable well before reaching 10 ms, making it impossible to achieve the 10 ms interval required by our application (which is within the BLE standard). We cannot determine whether the packet loss occurs on the WB side or the smartphon
Hello, I have a Nucleuo-F767ZIT6 board on which I verified a Ethernet code using FreeRTOS in Netconn API, there the code works fine without any issues. So, I moved on to designing a custom board for the same controller the first board worked without any issues but when I designed another iteration of the same board the ethernet stopped working in it, I've checked if other peripherals work fine and they work flawlessly, the ethernet part of the board is same as I had previously designed but still it does not work. The code that I run on both the boards is the same as there were no changes in the controller side. This the connections on the first board : Below is my design of the second board: Both the design are similar to the design of Nucleuo-F767ZIT6, but don't understand why one design works where as the other doesn't, I have done all the proper clock configurations and set the correct HSE crystal values too. Any suggestion in debugging the above mentioned issue will be gre
