I am wondering if it's possible to replace all the C++ codes in the gui folder, that is, View.cpp, presenter.cpp & model.cpp with C codes instead?Would this result in a conflict with the other files in the generated folder if I leave them as .cpp? I understand I should never edit files in the generated folder as they are from touchgfx but files in gui folder, the user can edit. Has anyone try to write pure C in these files and resulted in working? The reason why I want to change to C is because my boss told me that with C++ there are some issues in regards to DMA performance and other functionalities. Somewhere down the line when the compiler translate C++ to assembly code, there are some issues that prevent DMA from working reliably. He told me that from time to time DMA would randomly stop working. Moreover, with C++ it's harder to read in the assembly code as there are parent and child structure as opposed to C which is much easier to read.Ideally we want pure C for our app

I've installed TouchGFX version and with STM32CubeMX generate code but in the TouchGFX folder does not find .touchgfx file. What is the problem?Stm32CubeMX version 6.8.1

Hello, The datasheet mentions how to use external load modification on the ST25R3916B but it doesn't clearly describe *when* to use it. Under which circumstances does it make sense to add the diodes and FET for external load modulation? Thanks,Derek

I have the following setup:    Master<---------I2C------------>STM slaveThe master communicates like this:1) Master I2C write: [Start bit, I2C address (from master)], [Req Data1 (from master)]2) Master I2C read: [Start bit, I2C address (from master)], [Resp Data1 (from slave)],......,[Resp DataN (from slave)]With a "vanilla" STM slave implementation there is a problem because the STM slave requires time in between (1) and (2) to decode the "request type" byte and prepare the response data. However the master has no delay between (1) and (2), so the result is that the initial response bytes are invalid.Normally this sort of issue is handled on slave I2C devices by clock stretching. In the STM32F401RE user manual the description of the clock stretching implementation seems to suggest that it operates on a single I2C transfer, not between I2C transfers. Is that correct? For example from the diagram below is it possible to hold clock stretching beyond EV4? I've had tro

The code runs perfectly fine, and as expected when I don't have a USB connected, given that I push the Reset button (B2) on my Nucleo-F746ZG.The problem is that when I remove power from the system, and re-power it, it seems to not reset. I have jumnpers connected to both pairs of pins in CN4 (though removing them didnt help)I also have the jumper at JP3 to EV5.The power supply seems stable enough (attached a picture called Oscillioscope_power_supply.png)I tried adding a tantalum capacitor (6.8uF, 16Vmax) to the circuit to reduce the ripples, though it didnt work.JP4,JP5,JP6, and JP7 have jumpers attached. After power cycling LD4 is blinking slowly with red, indicating that it is waiting for a USB connection (?)I launched using RUN, console log is in console_log.txt, the logfile STMCubeIDE recorded is also attached as  com_controller.build.logParameter settings for RCC: I have tried adding NVIC_SystemReset(); to the hard fault handler in stmf7xx_it.c. Stating again at

Hello all,I've spent several days trying to ping my STM32H735 discovery kit with FreeRTOS and LWIP, to no avail.I've followed this tutorial as a starting point: https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus/how-to-create-project-for-stm32h7-with-ethernet-and-lwip-stack/ta-p/49308I've also investigated on most of the issues mentioned here, without success: https://community.st.com/t5/embedded-software-mcus/how-to-make-ethernet-and-lwip-working-on-stm32/m-p/261456/thread-id/17638After enabling logs and doing some debugging, I've confirmed that my board successfully receive the ARP request from my computer, etharp_raw sends a raw ARP packet and ethernet_output send a packet. All functions returns a success error code (i.e., 0), so everything is working fine according to the board, but I don't see any outcoming packet on Wireshark. There is an errata for the STM32H72xx/73xx series, indicating that the ARP offload is not working:ARP offload function not effective Description When the Target Protoco

I have purchased STM32F769 Discovery Kit. I'm new to this board usage. I tried an led blinking example using STM32CubeIDE. After Debugging the code I lost the factory default code and now nothing is showing on LCD display. Is there a way to get back to the factory reset mode with LCD display and default settings? Kindly help me!

The STM32WL55 Nucleo board comes with the LoraWAN DevEUI, AppKey et al.I assume that this is not the case for STM32WL55CC mcu itself, right? And I have to work out how to write that into each device by myself.// Niclas

Hi,I am using  STM32f107vct6. I want to create generalized GPIO function which can set gpio mode. I am using pointer to access peripheral registers. I have tested following1]  Configured gpio using structures which are available in library(i.e. GPIOA->ODR). Then used same method below to toggle led of gpio_odr register. It worked perfectly.2] With same method I tried to access GPIOC->CRH & CLR but it is not updating.This is my code.#include "stm32f10x.h"//Define all port addresses #define GPIOA_ODR_ADD *((uint32_t *)0x4001080C)#define GPIOB_ODR_ADD *((uint32_t *)0x40010C0C)#define GPIOC_ODR_ADD *((uint32_t *)0x4001100C)#define GPIOD_ODR_ADD *((uint32_t *)0x4001140C)#define GPIOE_ODR_ADD *((uint32_t *)0x4001180C)//MODE#define GPIOA_CRL_ADD *((uint32_t *)0x40010800)#define GPIOB_CRL_ADD *((uint32_t *)0x40010C00)#define GPIOC_CRL_ADD *((uint32_t *)0x40011000)#define GPIOD_CRL_ADD *((uint32_t *)0x40011400)#define GPIOE_CRL_ADD *((uint32_t *)0x40011800)#define

I was working with an example of the FW_F7_V_16.1 version and it works perfectly. When upgrading to version 17.1 I get an error "Error: Cannot Open USBHost.txt".Checking a bit I found that the difference is mainly in the files:usb_ctlreq.h and usbclreq.cI suspect the ParseCfgDesc & ParseEPDesc functions. However there are details I don't understand and I couldn't find out more.Searching in the community I found the link to update the version and coincidentally the above mentioned files, where an update is mentionedSTM32F746-DISCOVERY. USB HOST FS MSC not working. Application state never go to state "APPLICATION READY"We confirm the issue that is in USB Host library V3.4.1 and that was fixed in V3.5.0.STM32F7 CubeFW release still doesn't integrate USB Host V3.5.0, but you can get it here on GitHub and use it in your package to fix the problem.Future updates of STM32F7 package will contain V3.5.1.However I downloaded it and updated it in my project and the problem was correc

I am encountering an issue where a hard fault occurs when the "char * pszCommand" variable is written to because it is trying to change data that is not in the RAM.Here is the related code that gives me the hard fault:typedef struct { char * pszCommand; // command string void (* pfnHandler)(Parsed_t * ParsedCmd); // handler function int iParent; // index of command one level up in tree (if any) int nRequiredLength; // number of significant chars in command int nTreeLevel; // this commands depth in menu tree unsigned short bBranchEnd:1; // set if this command is the end of branch unsigned short bQueryAllowed: 1; // set if this command accepts queries } CmdTreeEntry_t; CmdTreeEntry_t * pTreeEntry; // initialize the root entry pTreeEntry = &g_CmdTree[0]; *pTreeEntry->pszCommand = ITEM_SEPARATOR; <------ The hard fault occurs after execution of this line pTreeEntry->iParent = -1; pTreeEntry->nRequiredLength = 1; pTreeEntry->nTreeLevel = 1; pTreeEntry->bBranch

Hi all,I'm making a clock and I wanted to update the display every minute (I do not display seconds) so I thought I'll set the alarm mask for minutes only but that didn't work. I read here that the RTC is more meant to trigger an alarm at specific time and date. I'm also going to need something like every Sunday at 3am but before I do that I need to do the every minute. I could just set up a regular timer for a minute but I thought the RTC should be able to do it. Am I wrong? Can the RTC generate an interrupt when every minute is incremented regardless of date, hours, seconds, day of the week, etc? Thanks

Hello, For some time I testing STM32MP135f with 1GHz CPU clocking. I was able to generate optee OpenStLinux but I see a lack of CPU efficiency. I'm curious what is the difference in efficiency between trust and optee. If I use the trusted option the unit will be more efficient?

I am feeding 1.75V into an ADC input on a STM32F407 and see the voltage source is clean and consistent on a scope.  I continuously read the value every 20ms.  I see the ADC value change between 2108 to 2130.  How consistent should the value be?  I'm guessing it's not likely I will see the exact same value each time the ADC is read, but am wondering if the range I'm seeing is what should be expected as 'stable' reading.   I'm using a separate 3.3V source for the analog.  If I use a 4 layer board and separate analog ground, what is the consistently I should expect to see in consecutive ADC readings?  I'm turned up all of the ADC peripheral settings to see if consistency would improve but it stays in the same range. Thanks,

Hey guys,Kinda pulling my hair out as to why the pull up resistor is not kicking in? I am expecting when the MCU boots up to see a nice high signal on PA4, but nothing. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. if I write a 0x01 into ODR it then pulls up, but I know that is not correct.GPIO configuration: LL_AHB4_GRP1_EnableClock(LL_AHB4_GRP1_PERIPH_GPIOA); LL_GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_STD_CFG; LL_GPIO_StructInit(&GPIO_STD_CFG); GPIO_STD_CFG.Alternate = 0; GPIO_STD_CFG.Mode = LL_GPIO_MODE_OUTPUT; GPIO_STD_CFG.OutputType = LL_GPIO_OUTPUT_PUSHPULL; GPIO_STD_CFG.Pin = LL_GPIO_PIN_4; GPIO_STD_CFG.Pull = LL_GPIO_PULL_UP; GPIO_STD_CFG.Speed = LL_GPIO_SPEED_HIGH; LL_GPIO_Init(GPIOA, &GPIO_STD_CFG); GPIOA Reg:Logic Analazyer

I'm using a STM32H745 MCU, with two processors, one of which is an M7. With the M7 I have problems with the DMA, I have seen that it is a very discussed topic on the internet, where there are many solutions, but I still have some doubts: I would like to use the DMA with the UART, the first thing I tried to do is force the buffers into the RAM_D2 memory area: __attribute__ ((section(".buffer"), used)) uint8_t TxBuf[1024]; and in flash.ld: .buffer(NOLOAD) : { . = ALIGN (1); } > RAM_D2 But it didn't work, Even just out of curiosity, know why? Then in a post I found this other solution: Before every use of DMA, I use the function: SCB_InvalidateDCache_by_Addr, in this way: SCB_InvalidateDCache_by_Addr((uint32_t*)(((uint32_t)rx_buffer) & ~(uint32_t)0x1F), SERIAL_BUFFER_SIZE+32); HAL_UARTEx_ReceiveToIdle_DMA(&DATA_INTERFACE, rx_buffer, SERIAL_BUFFER_SIZE); __HAL_DMA_DISABLE_IT(&hdma_usart3_rx, DMA_IT_HT); or SCB_CleanDCache_by_Addr(

QUESTION - TouchGFX Community repost - Eyal goltzman - July 2016Hello,Following Yossi question from today and Martin reference to Soren answer in https://touchgfx.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/206708899--orientation-180-degreeWe are using LCD without SPI interface, only parallel RGB interface through the LCD-TFT Controller peripheral, so controlling the LCD as describe in your answer to the above link is not an option.Since our customers have a mechanical issue with the display orientation (the flat cable position) we are trying to address it with SW solution. As I see it, there is an option to rotate the frame buffer just before calling swapFrameBuffers, what do you think? It could be done? performance issues? Can we do it ourselves? How?Thanks,EyalANSWER - TouchGFX Community repost - Soren Pingel Dalsgaard - July 2016Hi Eyal,How unfortunate! You could do the rotation manually, but the performance penalty will be very significant

Hi,I have been working with STM ADC’s from quite a long time. I had used STM32F373 and F4 series MCU ADC’s earlier for my applications. As, now my application requires huge amount of RAM, memory and computation speed I have shifted to STM32H743 MCU . Earlier when I used F3 series ADC the noisy LSB was around 4 LSB which is a quite good resolution for 16 bit ADC . But as I have shifted to STM32H743 the noise level fluctuation is around 300LSB for 16 bit ADC resolution for single ended channel. When I hook up ground to ADC pin it shows a value fluctuation of about 100LSB . I use Analog accelerometer for my application and I need to see a resolution of 1 mg and with such amount of noise I won’t be able to achieve such high resolution. The code is generated using CubeMx.The ADC is clocked using external clock and the MCU is powered from a 3.3 V regulator supply and Analog and digital grounds are properly separated. I checked into their errata sheet and I couldn’t find any possible solution.

I am trying to interface ST25R3911B to an existing application that runs FreeRTOS. Is there any sample code available for ST25R3911B in a FreeRTOS setup?I added RFAL to my project, created platform.h, with a mutex for platformProtectST25R391xComm. I am trying to read a ISP-15693 tag. I am using rfalNfcvPollerCollisionResolution( RFAL_COMPLIANCE_MODE_NFC, 1, testNfcVdev, &testDevCnt) to get tag info. I am pretty sure I am messing up calling the ISR from the IRQ callback. What is the best way to service the interrupt in a FreeRTOS environment?

Hi all,I own an STM32MP157-DK1. I am trying to setup the TFT display ILI9341 on this discovery kit. I am familiar with Bitbake and Yocto. Are there any minimal images available that I can bake and dump on my discovery kit (SD card) to test my display unit. My end goal is to use Qt to develop UI for this display unit.If there are no images available that can support ILI9341, please point me to resources that I can use to configure my custom image that can support this display unit. Looking forward to your suggestions and inputs.@Kevin HUBERtagging you because I saw your response on a similar post.Best,Vishnu

I used STM32CubeIDE on a Nucleo-L073RZ board to, using LL for everything, configure USART1 to19200 bauds,8N1,oversampling=16x,In IOC file Clock Configuration,"USART1 Source Mux" shows 32MHz, from PCLK2,which is the same as all bus clocks & sysclockThe input comes from HSE, which is, from that I saw, the tapped 8MHz from the on-board debugger MCU, which used to work for me in the past.So there seems nothing wrong with the general clock setup.Yet, on the oscilloscope, I see that the bit width of double the width of 19200, i.e. I am getting 1/2 the expected baudrate.EDIT: I configured PA8 MCO pin to SYSCLK with DIV1, and lo and behold, it shows 16 MHz on the oscilloscope, instead of expected 32. So that explains the baud rate: but everything in Cube is showing me 32 MHz...EDIT #2: Aha! I put now HSE on MCO, and it's 4 MHz! That comes from the STLink on this NUCLEO board. I could swear it used to give 8 MHz, and it has a 8MHz crystal on it.BUT I very recently let CubeIDE update the fir

Hello,I'm currently using the ADC on the NUCLEO-H743ZI2 board to sample a low frequency sine wave signal. The ADC is configured to DMA, circular buffer, continuous sampling mode and oversampling ratio of 4 with 2 bits shift. When I set the ADC sampling rate to 250KHz and the sine wave signal is 100Hz.Here is the sampled signal I got: When I reduced the ADC sampling rate to 125KHz, the sampled data is correct:Does anyone know what's causing this?Do I have to reduce the sampling rate?

Hi mates,Today I came with some interesting observation, I Was working with LSM6DSM sensor interface with Arduino and writing the driver code for same. I was able to achieve 4 - wire communication between Arduino and Gyro using a logic level shifter. But, I am not able to achieve same, for 3 wire. My connections for 3-wire or like this,Also I have Updated the 3-wire config register in the 70h register, I am Enabling SIM_OIS, 500dps [ FS1-0], and OIS, so I am writing 0x25 in 70h. What I am receiving is 0xFFs as the device ID, and -1 , -1 , -1 as x, y and Z value. Also when I short MOSI and MISO with 2.2k resistor, my device ID is detected as 0x80h and getting a -32640, -32640, -32640 as x, y and Z value., So , i am not sure what else i am missing here, so basically my question is , how to connect LSM6DSM in 3-wire mode. If any help provided by any will be helpful. @Federica Bossi Thanks and Regards

Please tell me about "5.2.4 Range accuracy in continuous mode" described in the VL53L5CX data sheet. Is the listed precision (error) value the precision (error) value due to individual differences ?Or does that precision (error) value mean the range of variation for the same individual ?
