Hello,The debug reset button is supposed to reset the MCU to project start it which is main()In my project, it was working fine until for no clear reason it stopped and now it throughs me to some random address.I'm using STM32CubeIDE Version: 1.12.1Build: 16088_20230420_1057 (UTC)STLink and STM32F407 Any idea on how to fix this issue ?thx

Hello friends! I have been trying to start the systick timer on my NUCLEO 575 board. But somehow I keep rifling through the user guide, yet cannot find information. Could please anybody let me know where exactly in the guide is the description of how to start this timer?Thank yoU!!

Hello, In order to use the non-default QSPI boot locations, my understanding is port0-port3, 4 signals need to be defined in OTP words 3, 5, and 6 based on a similar question about SDMMC1 discussed here:https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mpu-products/how-to-change-emmc-interface/td-p/344994For QSPI the default signals according to the getting started guide, AN5474, are:PB2 QUADSPI_BK1_NCSQUADSPI_BK1_NCSPF10 QUADSPI_CLKPF8 QUADSPI_BK1_IO0PF9 QUADSPI_BK1_IO1What is the mapping for the OTP ports 0-3 to the functional signal names NCS, CLK, IO0, IO1?i.e. port 0=NCS, CLK, IO0, or IO1? Same for the other three ports.I was not able to find this described or an example for QSPI and OTP.Thanks.

I had use VBat with external low frequency OSC for RTC which it's can run fine even reset has occurred. But it's has problem when it was boot from power off with VBat. it's going to TimeOut error while checking LSE state in RCC initial./* Check the LSE State */ if (RCC_OscInitStruct->LSEState != RCC_LSE_OFF) { /* Get Start Tick*/ tickstart = HAL_GetTick();   /* Wait till LSE is ready */ while (READ_BIT(RCC->BDCR, RCC_BDCR_LSERDY) == 0U) { if ((HAL_GetTick() - tickstart) > RCC_LSE_TIMEOUT_VALUE) { return HAL_TIMEOUT; } } }the RCC_OscInitStruct->LSEState is set so it go to waiting RCC_BDCR_LSERDY was set but RCC_BDCR_LSERDY is not set even I try to extent RCC_LSE_TIMEOUT_VALUE, it's not matter.only way I can do is power off it and remove a battery for a while. And add a battery again then I take power on for it.the system clock will go fine again.I have no idea why LSE clock boot fail in VBat Mode but It boot fine without VBat Modethis is my RCC config which

Hi, I am new to STM32, I am trying the i2c communication between stm32 and esp32. I am using STM32 as slave and ESP32 as Master. I am using Arduino IDEI connected stm32  PB6-SCL, PB7-SDA to esp32  GPIO21-SDA, GPIO19-SCL.i was not getting any response in the output. Can anyone help me with it.Code is attached. Thanks

Typical user symptom: sprintf with floating point doesn't work or crashes.I've provided a complete explanation and required fixes here:http://www.nadler.com/embedded/newlibAndFreeRTOS.htmlTo illustrate the crash in minimal test application, I've provided this example project ready to run for a Nucleo 429:http://www.nadler.com/embedded/20190804_STM_malloc-Kaboom_demo.zipSet breakpoints at:sysmem.c: on the line with errno = ENOMEM;main.c, in default task, on line kaboomP1 = malloc(16);Enjoy the fireworks.Comments on (one of) the problems are provided in sysmem.cThe fixes are explained in the web page linked above, and illustrated in this corrected minimal project:http://www.nadler.com/embedded/20191115_malloc-Kaboom_fixed.zipIt would be great if STM could:- confirm they understand this set of bugs- fix them in a prompt release of ST32cubeIDE/CubeMX/etc.OK, we can dream, right? Thanks,Best Regards, Dave

Compiling X-CUBE-NFC6 related code fails on Linux host. To compile code on Linux, the following fix is needed:   // rename #include "st25R3916_irq.h" // to #include "st25r3916_irq.h"  This fix will not affect Windows.Optionally: rename a file on Linux file system to match include.

For a test I try to read current LCD brightness - 0x5E register using STM32F769-DISCO board with MB1166 OTM8009A LCD.DSI has been properly configured for the command mode - writing works OK. I know because display gets properly initialized.I looked everywhere and I found no example of how to use HAL_DSI_Read().One post I came across suggests that HAL_DSI_ConfigFlowControl(hdsi, DSI_FLOW_CONTROL_BTA) needs to be called first. It seems to help, there are no timeout errors but nothing gets read. Please advice. This seems to be reoccurring question with no answer or even a sign someone succeeded. Below is what I have tried.void test() { uint8_t buffer[2]; memset(buffer, 0, 2); MyDsiRead1Param(&hdsi_discovery, 0x5E, buffer, 2); }   void MyDsiReadCmd(DSI_HandleTypeDef *hdsi, uint8_t cmd, uint8_t *buffer, uint32_t size) { HAL_StatusTypeDef status = HAL_DSI_ConfigFlowControl(hdsi, DSI_FLOW_CONTROL_BTA); if (status != HAL_OK) MBED_ERROR(status, "Error calling HAL_DSI_ConfigFlo

Hello, For a personal project, I am designing a device that receives GPS data and transmits the UTC time information to other devices over BLE. I will also be designing a device that receives the data and displays it. For this, I have chosen the STM32WB10 MCU. I think I have a surface-level knowledge of RF, but I couldn't understand this application schematic in AN5290, page 10: What I am confused about is the low pass filter at the end. Assuming I connect an antenna to the RF output, how would this device work in RX mode? Perhaps as a result to my inexperience with RF, the antenna being connected to the output of the LPF doesn't make sense to me. The same circuit is also showed in AN5165, page 13. Thank you in advance for the advice.

I've installed STM32CubeIDE and the ST-LINK/V2-1 driver. I'm attempting to connect to a Nucleo U5A5ZJ-Q board. When I try to run example code I receive the message: "No ST-LINK detected..."I have removed the jumper on CN4 as instructed if using Nucleo ST-LINK/V2:https://stm32-base.org/guides/connecting-your-debugger.html#:~:text=Nucleo%20ST%2DLINK%2FV2,connect%20to%20your%20target%20board.When I attach the USB cable to my PC I do not hear the standard attach sound. What am I missing here? Thanks

I use STM32CubeIDE and every time, when I use Run configuration to build and flash MCU, IDE opens startup_stm32<mcu>.s file (startup_stm32g431kbtx.s for example).Project has been generated by STM32CubeMX.Settings in Run configuration are default. How to disable that behavour?

Summary: I am sampling the internal voltage reference 5 times using DMA with the ADC set to continuous mode with LL_DMA_LIMITED. I know about the errata that says to ignore the first ADC value, but the other 4 values only become consistent if I use a HAL_Delay(1)after enabling the ADC. Am I missing something?Relevant code without the delay:#include "main.h" #include <stdio.h> #include <string.h> #include <assert.h>   #define ARRAY_SIZE(x) (sizeof (x) / sizeof *(x))   static uint16_t adc_data[5]; static volatile int dma_interrupt_done = 0;   // runs inside main void main_user_code(void) { printf("Now booting!\r\n");   // Setup DMA LL_DMA_SetPeriphAddress(DMA1, LL_DMA_CHANNEL_1, LL_ADC_DMA_GetRegAddr(ADC1, 0)); LL_DMA_SetMemoryAddress(DMA1, LL_DMA_CHANNEL_1, (uintptr_t) &adc_data); LL_DMA_EnableIT_TC(DMA1, LL_DMA_CHANNEL_1); LL_DMA_EnableIT_TE(DMA1, LL_DMA_CHANNEL_1);   // Setup ADC LL_ADC_StartCalibration(ADC1, LL_ADC_SINGLE_ENDE

Hello,    I am working on STM32G030F6P6 microcontroller. PA0 pin is configured as analog input, 12 bit resolution. I am reading non zero values when PA0 pin is connected to ground. I tried on 3 different microcontrollers but each microcontroller ADC values are different from each other (eg. 145,  165).    Power supply to microcontroller is connected through 3.3V linear voltage regulator, also 100nf capacitor is added close to the microcontroller power pins.   What should I do? Please help with the same.thanks,siddharth.

I have generated C project with Tim2 interrupt configuration from CubeMX and converted into C++ project. when the project is in C timer2 is working. but when I changed it to C++ project, after interrupt enable function execution it stuck at Infinite Loop statement. why?can anyone help me out?after below mentioned statement execution,it's going to infinite loop statement.if (HAL_TIM_Base_Start_IT(&htim2) != HAL_OK){Error_Handler();} .section .text.Default_Handler,"ax",%progbitsDefault_Handler:Infinite_Loop:b Infinite_Loop.size Default_Handler, .-Default_Handler

Hello together,I am currently trying to program a STM32L475RET6. But I have the problem that when I connect the programmer and click on connect, a connection can be established, but it disappears after only a short time with the error "connection lost".I have already made a few designs and projects with the L4, but never observed such behavior. I see that the VL53L5CX sensor has two voltage supply alternatives, both for the digital part (IOVDD) and the analog part (AVDD). I am also observing that starting from version 1.3.3 of the ULD driver, we have a function called vl53l5cx_disable_internal_cp(). In my tests, calling this function resulted in a decrease in current consumption via AVDD by approximately 40%, for both 2.8V and 3.3V supply voltages. Additionally, it is worth noting that the silicon temperature also decreases significantly when this function is invoked. What are the effects of this function and in what cases should it be called? Does its usage degrade the sensor's performance in any way?Thank you!Alex

Hi, Im trying to track down a couple of diodes to repair a card.  The markings are  EV Z551 It also has the ST logo on it, surface mount..  Anyone know where I can obtain some.. Cheers Kev

I have made a SM-PMSM project for a hub motor (10 pole pairs). I can compile the generated code in STM32CubeIDE (HAL) but when I run it I always get the fault "Speed feedback" in Motor Control Workbench Monitor. There is 20ms of activity, where there is 3ms of 13kHz PWM wave from about zero to nominal voltage (p-p) at 50% duty, then "Speed feedback" fault occurs. The waveforms are identical on all phases. The motor does not move, therefore no encoder pulses. It is strange that the pulse are the same on all three phase outputs, basically stalling the motor. What is going on here?UPDATE:Hall sensors are conected to the board header, has been probed in place and correct 0-VDD square wave is output.Motor coils probed and b-emf waveform checks out ok.Placement electrical angle was measured from Hall H1 rising edge to the peak of the first Phase waveform. It seems like none of these measurements have made any difference at all.Is there a way to test the STEVAL-SPIN3201 board?UPDATE 2:I have mana

Hi ST, we are looking for solutions to supply > 100W over the new USB-C PD 3.1 spec, but due to the (very) short time since the release it seems that no one has updated its specs yet.So I would like to know how and when is ST going to officially support it, and also how hard would it be to use one of the actual STUSB solutions + a microcontroller to support as a source the new 3.1 PD modes (28V, 36V, 48V), is it possible? Any information would be appreciated!ThanksGustavo

Hello,I have a C++ project on STM32CubeIDE. I noticed that IDE doesn't show any errors in Release mode when I intentionally make error. I see this behavior on files with .hpp and .cpp extensions. On the other hand, I see that IDE can generate errors on console when I make errors in files with .c extensions like main.c. There is no problem when build configuration is set to Debug. I have one ext file, one .hpp file and one .cpp file. I expect to see error I put in this .cpp file. These are the differences between Debug and Release configurations in Project->Properties->C/C++ Build->Settings section:MCU GCC AssemblerDebug-> Command: gcc               All options: -mcpu=cortex-m4 -g3 -DDEBUG -c -x assembler-with-cpp --specs=nano.specs

Hi,I'm in the process of implementing a result screen which displays the result along with unit.Since the digits are not the same I see a spacing issue between result and result unit.Example : 11 cm , 22cmand 99 cmI cannot have a fixed x and y co ordinate for the result unit. This is because when eleven is displayed the result shrinks and looks far away from the result unit.when its 22 the result almost touches the result unit.Is there a way to move the result unit (wild card position) along with the result (wild card) x and y co ordinates. So that the spacing between result and result unit remains the same for all digits?

Hello,I am working on a STM32WB55RG BLE Project and the problem is that about once in every 3 program that I upload, BLE doesn't work. After reupdating the BLE Stack firmware, it works correctly. I am using the BLE firmware v1.16.0.4.  What could be the problem? Best Regards,Yusuf

Hi How to make external OctoSPI loader for STM32H723zgt6 with octospi and w25q256 Thanks.

I have a project in which I have a specific flash section dedicated to device calibrations (.factory_variables). This allows me to to create a full_program.elf file and an update.elf file with different linkers. full_program.elf file: used in productionupdate.elf: used in to updateHaving to maintain two linkers is not efficient (compile time, binary management ,etc). I am trying to do a single compilation and then use arm-none-eabi-objcopy.exe to remove the calibration section. However when trying to update with the update.elf and stm32cubeprogrammer the following error appears:The reason for this error is that stm32cubeprogrammer incorrectly detects the .elf headers with size = 0.I am currently creating the update with the following command:cp full_program.elf update.elf arm-none-eabi-objcopy.exe --remove-section .factory_variables .\update.elfUsing readelf tool I can see that update.elf is correctly created. Section 3 is "emptied" and leaved with 0 spaceORIGINAL F
