I tried to design a board using the STM32WLE5CCU6, so I referred to the reference designs MB1720,1842,1848, etc.However, I confirmed that the VDDRF part, which is the part specified in the data sheet, is open with the SB connector.I searched for the reason why this happened, but I couldn't figure it out, so I'm looking for help in this community.Why are VDDRF and VDD disconnected?

Using the STM DFU DLL's to load firmware onto some 3rd party custom hardware, we have to call  SelectCurrentConfiguaration becuase the bootloader in the hardware requires this before it allows the STM32F4xx ROM to be written to Normally this works OK.  However users in Turkey have reported Error 1234002 when this call is made , and they are unable to install new firmware. This problem only seems to affect Windows computers which were installed with the Turkish locale. Setting the Turkish locale on a English or even German  version of Windows, does not cause the problem. But on PC's with Turkish as the initial / default locale, adding the english locale and switching to that locale to install firmware seems to fix the problem. Is this a know problem with the DFU DLL's ??

I don't understand how to use these two display modes:Read Busy Flag and Address CounterRead Data from RAMDatasheet LCD2004AI can describe how writing to DDRAM works. First, I put the cursor on the display where I want to write the character: LCD_SendCommand(0x02); //Return Cursor Home And in this place I write a symbol: LCD_SendData('F'); And I don’t understand what it does and what principle of operation for these two modes.Read Busy Flag and Address CounterRead Data from RAMI think if you tell me the algorithm of work, then I can write the code itself.On the Internet, I could not find a description that I would understand.

Hi,I am using STSPIN32F0601 eval board in sensorless configuration with RSHUNT for current measurement. The issue is that the measured motor power from function PQD_CalcElMotorPower is incorrect. It has an offset with respect to the actual motor power and this error varies with respect to change in RPM.  Although the relationship between RPM and this offset is not linear, it is observed that the offset is higher in higher RPMs and reduces towards lower RPMs. What could be the cause of this issue?Secondly, I have custom made prototype boards for my application, where I have followed recommended circuit as per the documentation and eval board. In those PCBs I have found that this measured power offset is not consistent across all PCBs. The error band is different in 3 out of 10 PCBs. What is causing this variation? What points should I look for in these PCBs to differentiate the factor causing this variation?How can I get correct motor power where in atleast the error offs

I have an STM32h723, connected to the STM32CubeProgrammer via SWD. My flash image is 136672B in size and contains code to read the entire flash image, SHA3 it, and then compare that SHA3 to an SHA3 which is located, via linked script + post build scripts, at the end of flash. This code is known to work fine across many Stm32 targets, including this one when the flash image is smaller than 0x0001fec0 bytes. However, on this stm32H723, that code generates a hardfault (bus fault,  BFAR[M] = 0x0801fec0), but *only after the first bootup*. The first bootup it works fine. During investigation, I tried simply writing the image file with stm32cubeprog and then reading it back. If I verify it back right after programming it works fine. If I power cycle the board, then try to verify against the same file, I get the following error: "12:46:41 : Error: Data mismatch found at address 0x0801FEC0 (byte = 0x54 instead of 0x74)"So both my program code and access to the Stm32 via SWD

Hello,Been thru all the specs I can find on the VL53L5CX but I can't find how the Zones numbers map to array of distance_mm in the VL53L5CX_ResultsData  struct.Is Zone 0,0  distance_mm[0] please?Or can someone point me to the spec/page please?Many thanks IMK

This has nothing to do with EEPROM devices, but that was the only "labeI" that would work. I built a custom board using an STM32F411RET6. It has a 12MHz external clock. I'm trying to use a VCP USB interface. The USB code enumerates fine on a 'F407 DISCO board (STM3240G-EVAL), of course with the 25MHz crystal instead of my 12MHz oscillator. But I get the attached USB connection error with my custom board. This interface won't allow me to attach a .zip of my code, and only 3 attachments are allowed, but I can send the CubeMX file I am using, and the actual code.

When configuring ADC1 with STm32CubeIDE I see no IN2 or IN6. Why?

Hi ST Team,Can you share the Marking code specification for the product: LPS22DFTR ?Thanks, Danny.

Hi, I bought me some STM8S103F3 small developent boards from china. Nice stuff. But I would like to make timer 1 channel 1 generate a PWM signal on output C6. This needs some remap of the timer 1 peripheral. Therefore I managed to set the AFR0 bit in OPT2 and clear this bit in NOPT2. The onboard led goes off when the cycletime Update event is executed and goes on if the compare value event (dutycycle time)  is reached. I monitored the onboard led by oscilloscope and all works nice as expected showing my PWM signal. But still no signal is appearing on output C6 which is configured as output pushpull. Anyone has some experience with remapping timer 1 or what am I doing wrong? I am using the STVD IDE with COSMIC8 toolset. (spend 8 hours trying to find out, chatgpt is telling me nonsense...)

I have loaded example from CubeMX for STM32F746G-Disco board, it is working fine.This is the top of the hex file the original from CubeMX exampleconst uint32_t RGB565_480x272[65280] ={0x7A537A53,0x82538253,But when I am trying my own image, I cannot get the right format. Does anybody know what was used for the image conversion. I tired almost everything I could think about a few HEX converters and PhotoShop.this is what I am getting, from the header it looks like 32 bit, RGB565 format with alpha. this is what I am trying to display240 x 160

please help me to solve this .My prototype is going to stand by but never waking up.I have used WKUP4 how i can assign interrupts for this .void Enter_sleep(void) { //enable PWR control clock __HAL_RCC_PWR_CLK_ENABLE(); // Set SLEEPDEEP bit of Cortex System Control Register SET_BIT(SCB->SCR, ((uint32_t)SCB_SCR_SLEEPDEEP_Msk)); //Select Standby mode HAL_PWR_EnterSTANDBYMode(); //Clear wake up flag if (__HAL_PWR_GET_FLAG(PWR_FLAG_WUF4) != RESET) { __HAL_PWR_CLEAR_FLAG(PWR_FLAG_WUF4); } //ENABLE WAKE UP PIN PA2 in this case HAL_PWR_EnableWakeUpPin(PWR_WAKEUP_PIN4_HIGH); // Request wait for interrupt __WFI(); }

The position return aperture of VL6180X is extremely sensible to light at 630 nm (red). I would know the sensistivity spectrum of the position return of the proximity sensor on the chip VL6180X in order to use a filter to cut not too much the red light and do not alter the distance measurement. At 630 nm very weak red light blinds the proximity sensor and we need to use the ALS to monitor the red light.If we know the sensitivity spectrum, and since need to use proximity sensor with the red light on, we can choice a filter with a cut-off that do not blindes the proximity sensor and can detect the red light with the ALSRegardsDomenico

Hi,I'm playing with the LwIP stack on an STM32H723 Nucleo. I did everything regarding the variable placement, MPU config in the ram that needed to set up LwIP. With static IP it works just fine. I could ping it and I could implement an UDP server example. After it I thought I try the DHCP. The problem I do not get an IP from the DHCP server. The port on PC is set to have DHCP (tried on multiple PC) and what I see in WireShark is that the nucleo boradcasts DHCP Discover packets, but never gets DHCP Offer packets. And it is the same on multiple PCs, so I suspect something is wrong on the nulceo side. Is there any idea how to track the issue? In the "gnetif" main variable the IP, gateway, subnet is set to zero, no IP assigned to the device.

Hello,We are using the LIS2DH12TR sensor in our project. As per the datasheet, I understand that it always shows +1g on the +Z-axis when the IC is at rest.We are operating the sensor in HR mode under different modes  2g, 4g, 8g and also in 16g mode. But strangely the raw values are always near 16384 (0x4000). I tried the same experiment with Low power mode and also normal mode. Still, the values are the same. I tried tilting the board making the X-axis and also Y-axis point to the sky, in that case, the respective axis shows a raw value near 16384 always. If the respective axis is pointed towards the earth, then the sensor reads a value near -16384 (0xC000)Please help me understand how to convert the raw values to engineering values. It would be really helpful if anyone could break down the calculations for 4g. 8g and 16g (as I have gone through the 2g example), like what values should we expect when the board is kept at rest where Z-axis is pointing upwards and the

Hi,Please suggest a micro controller with Camera Serial Interface .Dont need a high performance one. Application requires image to be captured once in a day , do some processing and send the data through wireless.This is battery operated Metering application. Low power micro controller is preferred, if available.Regards,Anil

Hello all,I am using the M24LR Discovery kit which has an RF transceiver board with a CR95HF transceiver IC controlled by an STM32 MCU and a wireless tag, containing the M24LR04E-R EEPROM with an RF interface, controlled by an STM8 MCU. There is a demo application software provided, but it has limited utility which is why I had to source firmware for both individual boards and program them individually.I am having some difficulties as I cannot power the M24LR board from the energy harvesting from the antenna of the CR95HF board. According to the M24LR04E-R datasheet (pages 27 - 28), in order to turn on Energy Harvesting, bits 0, 1, and 2 of the configuration byte (table 14) must be set. This will then set bit 0 (named EH_enable) of the control byte (table 15) which enables the Energy Harvesting. I've tried all combinations of bits 0, 1, and 2 of the configuration bytes, but I have not been able to turn on Energy Harvesting as the tag is not powered from the CR95HF board and bit 0

Good Day, Is it possible to write a Word using HAL_FLASH_Program? If I use the TypeProgram =  FLASH_TYPEPROGRAM_DOUBLEWORD in the function (shown below) it will write to flash. If I use FLASH_TYPEPROGRAM_WORD it will not write to flash and I receive an error.HAL_FLASH_Program(uint32_t TypeProgram, uint32_t Address, uint64_t Data);Regards, SJC

I am having a problem with the USART on my STM32WL55JC2. I have configured the USART correctly, and I am using the correct pins, but the USART is not working.I have tried the following to troubleshoot the problem:I have checked the configuration of the USART using the STM32CubeMX software.I have checked the pins that I am using for the USART.I have used a logic analyzer to see if the USART is sending and receiving data.I have not been able to identify the problem, and I am hoping that you can help me.Here is some information about my setup:I am using the STM32WL55JC2 evaluation board.I am using the STM32CubeMX software to configure the USART.I am using a logic analyzer to troubleshoot the problem.

Hello,I am in process of designing my own STM32MP1 powered device. I was wondering if I can use STLINK-V3MODS as a drop in replacement for ST-LINK/V2-1 in STM32MP157-EVAL reference design. I need the Virtual COM interface embedded in device.-Mark

Hello,I am using a LSM6DSO32 on a custom board.  As an attempt to save power in sleep mode we want to place the device in ULP (ultra low power mode) as specified by the datasheet.  I have attached my function that initializes the device in ULP mode and enables wake up interrupt.  I see the same power draw wether or notctrl5.xl_ulp_mode is set.  Can anyone advise what I am doing wrong. Thanks!-Jamie

I am reading the  "Getting started with STM32U5 MCU" guie, which mentions that JTAG/SWD lines should have a 47-Ohms resistor and a 6.1V diode for ESD protection,.I am using s STLINK-V3SET to program a custom board. STLINK already includes these componentes for ESD protection.When design my custom PCB, I should follow the guidelines in "Getting started with STM32U5 MCU", and add additional diodes and resistor? Or it is not necessary because such components are already present on STLINK?I will connect the STLINK and the custom PCB using a STDC14 connector.

I needed a help how to implement shutdown mode and wakeup from external reset in my application   while (1) { HAL_Delay(100); // MAINS INPUT Adc_Mains(); HAL_ADC_Start(&hadc1); HAL_ADC_PollForConversion(&hadc1,1000); Mains=HAL_ADC_GetValue(&hadc1); Hands=Hands*2/4095; HAL_ADC_Stop(&hadc1); HAL_Delay(100); //Battery operation Adc_Vbat(); HAL_ADC_Start(&hadc1); HAL_ADC_PollForConversion(&hadc1,1000); Vbat=HAL_ADC_GetValue(&hadc1); Vbat=Vbat*2/4095; HAL_ADC_Stop(&hadc1); HAL_Delay(100); //OPEN CIRCUIT DETECT Adc_OCD(); HAL_ADC_Start(&hadc1); HAL_ADC_PollForConversion(&hadc1,1000); OCD=HAL_ADC_GetValue(&hadc1); OCD=OCD*2/4095; HAL_ADC_Stop(&hadc1); HAL_Delay(100); //BATTERY TEMPARATURE Adc_Temp(); HAL_ADC_Start(&hadc1); HAL_ADC_PollForConversion(&hadc1,1000); Temp=HAL_ADC_GetValue(&hadc1);

Hello,I am trying to put my STM32F103C8T8 in sleep mode where all clocks are running etc. and wake it up using external UART interrupt.I am using MikroC as an environment and I don't think they have Wait for interrupt function. Is there any other solution to solve this? Is it too much of the work to set up registers, in that case do anybody knows which registers should I tackle?Thanks in advance!Best regards,Uros M.

I purchased a  P-NUCLEO-53L5A1 kit and successfully used it to collect data for depth estimation with the help of Quick start guide. But I have noticed that if I used STSW-IMG024, GUI for L5, to get collected data, I would receive a .csv document and it is shown like this:As I know, from some papers that describe principle of TOF sensors, raw data collected by L5 can be arranged as a HISTOGRAM with 100 bins. So how can I get this HISTOGRAM data (or depth data of each bin) but not just a sigma and median from a fitted normal distribution?
