Hello, I have a simple question: What is the way to update the SysTick configuration after changing the clocks at runtime? I am switching SYSCLK between two modes:1) RUN mode: HSE 32 MHZ2) LPRUN mode: MSI 2 MHZAfter changing to (2), the HAL_GetTick() function is running slow and needs reconfiguring. Using STM32WB

Hello.Short Story:I'm doing a little project that has to write some sensor data to an SD-Card.After setting up with CubeMX, I found this (well-known) example of "kiwih" (https://github.com/kiwih/cubemx-mmc-sd-card?fbclid=IwAR1JE_SkRHDFSikRvwptlszMZUA-ZmuBhtI3UJPCThuC68mt_NsgG7M5qTE).Everything is working perfect and I can do f_mount, f_open, etc ...So far so good.Problem:To facilitate the connection of the SD-Card I used a uSD extension so I can not use the "card dettect" pin.Sometimes the system boots and no card is present. So when I do f_mount I check if the answer is "FR_OK".After that I wait to introduce the uSD and try "f_mount" again. The problem is that as long as I do not reset the MCU, the response from f_mount (already with the card inserted) is always "FR_DISK_ERR".I have already tried restart the SPI, the FATFS, clean the FATFS object, etc ...But all my attempts were unsuccessful. In this case, having to reset the MCU is not a solution for me.Does anyone have any ideas that

Hi!I have a case where I want to read all tags in area one by one. Issue is that if I call `HLTA` command, even after selecting a tag, all tags in area go to sleep. Is this intended behavior in ISO 14443A protocol or I am doing something wrong?Hlta -> https://github.com/jspngh/st25r3911b/blob/master/src/lib.rs#L275Select -> https://github.com/xpresshd/st25r3911b/blob/master/src/lib.rs#L575Thanks!

I would like a sample code C program or even a list a commands that I need to use for reading and writing to the nfc tag. (ST25DV) via I2c. Are the commands similar to M24SR?@Thanks@Berenice BENVEGUDA  @brk

We are working on a project which requires us to put our STM32L433 MCU's into a low power mode with memory retention(STOP2 mode). When measuring the IDD current draw on our NUCLEO-L433RC-P  in STOP2 mode, we found that at 1.8V VDD the current consumption is as expected (<2uA). If we raise the voltage to 3.3V VDD, while still beeing in STOP2 mode, the current jumps up to ~400uA(should be <2.3uA).All supply pins are connected together(except 1.2VDD), SMPS is disconnected from 1.2VDD, debugger is disconnected using jumpers. No peripherals have been explicitly enabled. All GPIO's except the wakeup interrupt pin are configured as analog inputs. What can cause this jump(non-linear with voltage) in current draw when increasing the supply voltage from 1.8V to 3.3V?Section in Datasheet:IDD current draw(1.8V on the left, 3.3V on the right): Jumper settings:

Hello there,I am working with CAN on STM32F103. I want my MCU to send a message right when it receives a message so I put HAL_CAN_AddTxMessage function in HAL_CAN_RxFifo0MsgPendingCallback. I tried it with STM32F4 like this and it worked fine.void HAL_CAN_RxFifo0MsgPendingCallback(CAN_HandleTypeDef *hcan) { /* Do some other stuff here * ... */ HAL_CAN_AddTxMessage(&hcan1, &TxHeader0, CAN1Tx0, &TxMailbox[0]); HAL_CAN_AddTxMessage(&hcan1, &TxHeader1, CAN1Tx1, &TxMailbox[1]); }But I could not do so with STM32F1void HAL_CAN_RxFifo0MsgPendingCallback(CAN_HandleTypeDef *hcan) { /* Do some stuff here * ... */ HAL_CAN_AddTxMessage(&hcan, &TxHeader, CANTx, &TxMailbox); }the compiler gave me warningpassing argument 1 of 'HAL_CAN_AddTxMessage' from incompatible pointer type [-Wincompatible-pointer-types] main.cexpected 'CAN_HandleTypeDef *' {aka 'struct __CAN_HandleTypeDef *'} but argument is of type 'CAN_HandleTypeDef **' {aka 'struct __CAN_HandleTyp

Hi STM forums,I use a stm32f205rct6tr for this projectin my project i need to send 1024 clock signals to the slave, the message inside is not inportant.but after sending around 125 bytes it stops debugging entirely, i checked it out with the oscilloscoop. And i'm not sure why it can't send more. plz take a looks at the screenshot and if there is more information needed let me know.  Thanks for the help.

In the ATM32H747XI datasheet Table 9 on page 89...As I read this table... Examples are...Pin Name PA1 Alternate Function AF1 = TIM2_CH2Pin Name PA2 Alternate Function AF2 = TIM5_CH3Question 1:For PA0 AF1, there are two functions listed... TIM2_CH1/TIM2_ETRSo which is it? TIM2_CH1 or TIM2_ETR?Or is that configurable in the code?Or what?Question 2:The first row of the table shows Alternate Function AF0 through AF15The second row of the table... I need help with...For instance Under AF1 it showsTIM1/2/16/17/LPTIM1/HRTIM1alternately written (I guess) as...TIM1TIM2TIM16TIM17LPTIM1HRTIM1I don't know what these refer to as not all of them appear in the AF1 column for Ports PA0 thru PA15.Same question for the second row for AF0, AF2, AF3, etc... all the way across Table 9As well as the second row for tables for Ports B through Ports KHopefully someone will try and enlighten me as I am learning about the ATM32H747XIThanks for any help.

Hi community. I would like to know if reading the internal temp of the mcu (using the right channel of the adc) can give you an accurate idea of the temperature of the pcb where the mcu is mounted. Is it accurate this temp?Is it sensistive to other effects ? Does it work to use this information? Thanks a lot for your reply

I use LIS2MDL and LSM6DSO sensors (with MotionMC and MotionEC libraries) for getting true north direction. I tested this configuration on IKS01A3 board and it works. But on my custom board, I'm having trouble with getting true north direction. After calibration the resulting azimuth differs from the true one by 70-150 degrees. Tilting the sensor plane by 5 degrees or more in the X or Y axes also affects the observed azimuth. Could this be due to incorrect routing of my custom board? I'm concerned about I2C line vias. Could vias be a source of parasitic magnetic induction? Power is also routing under the LIS2MDL (pic2). Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

There are no diference for conect to gnd in the left side o right side?

Hi,I try to run "FatFs_Shared_Device" example which supposed to demonstrate FatFs and eMMC.I keep getting FR_DISK_ERR.Has anyone ever encountered this issue?I understood it supposed to work without any modification to the example. Thanks guys

Hello, can you please suggest on what type of antennas do you suggest to be used along with ST25DV16K ? I was hoping to use NFC_ANTENNA_25X15 between the pins AC0 & AC1.Also can you please suggest if it will be a good idea to have the antenna on bottom layer and all the other electronic components on the top layer in the two layer board ? Or will it be better to increase the PCB size laterally and have the antenna on the same top layer as the electronic components ?I also plan to use a 2.4Ghz wireless communication chip antenna so what precautions should be taken to avoid interaction between the chip antenna and NFC antenna ?regardsSiddharth

Dear STM CommunityIn order to ease our debugging, I would like to make use of the Micro Trace Buffer which seems to be integrated in the Cortex M33 Core (e.g. stated by STM here: https://www.st.com/content/st_com/en/arm-32-bit-microcontrollers/arm-cortex-m33.html).However, yet I didn't find any documentation about the MTB on STM32U5 related documentation.Could you please clarify if the U5 microcontrollers support MTB at all. If yes, I would be happy for a hint about available documentation. Thanks for your supportKind regards, Stefan

Hi,My MCU us stm32f401rct6.This MCU has three UART and all UART are using for service. No console UART port :(So, I make a USB CDC device to use console port. But, iwdg is not working. When I use UART console port, while(1); occur watchdog reset. But, when I use USB CDC for console, while(1); not occur watchdog reset.Thank you in advanced.BRPaul

Hi all,       I'm Siva, and i need a BLDC motor driver to run a 5kW motor. please suggest me in buying out the right driver board. the voltage needed for the motor is 48 volt and the current needed will be 180A.

Hello,I am using ST25R3911B and trying to understand in what cases Soft Framing Error will be generated - this is bit I_err2 in register 0x19.Based on the datasheet, it looks like this is only used when operating in NFCIP-1 mode, which is enabled by setting bt nfc_f0 in register 0x05. Is that correct? With register 0x05 set to 0, and using Type B at 424 Kbs, I noticed occasional soft frame errors. Is there any other condition that would trigger that error?

I'm trying to make run a motor via Motor Pilot but it does not work correctly. I'm using the following motor: 1 stücke Mitoot 5008 335KV/400KV Bürstenlosen Motor Für 1555 1755 Propeller Quad kit RC Multicopter Hexacopter Tarot T960 t810|Teile & Zubehör| - AliExpress. That unfortunately does not have specifications to work with.Board used:NUCLEO-F446REX-NUCLEO-IHM16M1 3ShHere are the values I have set for the motor:Pole pairs: 7Maximum speed: 10000 RPMMaximum current: 0.4However, I'm uncertain whether these values are correct, and I suspect they might not be. When I start the profiler, it gets stuck at 14%, and I I get the following window:I'm wondering if anyone has prior experience working with this particular motor. Could you provide guidance on how to determine the correct values for the motor settings in order to make it run properly?

Hi,I'm currently trying to understand the recommended MPU config (when settings up an 8 bit LCD connected via the FMC on an STM32H742. Everything is currently working, but I haven't been able to wrap my head around why configuring the MPU regions with size MPU_REGION_SIZE_32B is working correctly. The recommended config can be found here: https://www.st.com/content/st_com/en/support/learning/stm32-education/stm32-moocs/STM32_MPU_tips.html  I'm configuring the system to use FMC bank 1 with NE2, A18 as data select. The MPU is configured so that regions in FMC bank1 are strongly ordered, similar to that below:  MPU_Region_InitTypeDef configMPU = {0}; HAL_MPU_Disable(); // Configure regions for FMC LCD configMPU.Enable = MPU_REGION_ENABLE; configMPU.Number = MPU_REGION_NUMBER1; configMPU.BaseAddress = 0x64000000U; configMPU.Size = MPU_REGION_SIZE_32B; configMPU.SubRegionDisable = 0x0U; configMPU.TypeExtField = MPU_TEX_LEVEL0; configMPU.AccessPermission =

Hi everyone.I am recently working on stm32 chip and found a page show the power consumptionseems GPIO port C and F can save half the power than A and Bshould i always consider to use gpio port C and F ?or the consumption is too little that we don't need to care about?

I am trying to flash a custom PCB having STM32H743IIK6 MCU using SWD interface. I have tried below methods but all are Failing. Flashing using 'STM32CubeProgrammer' using all 'Mode' and 'Reset Mode' options FailedFlashing using STM32CubeIDE tried using STLINK SWD and J-Link SWD FailedFlashing using STM32 ST-Link Utility Failed.Below is the Schematic of the programming and power supply section of the MCU.I have assembled 2 different boards and in all 2 boards, Most of times, I am getting 0V on VCAP pins. but sometimes this VCAP voltage fluctuate around 0.7V to 1.1V.

I am trying to detect the NFC tap and try to raise a flag whenever a flag is seen and to do the same function each time.is there any example available?I am able to read and write to EEPROM but I don't get any idea how to detect a tap

Hi there,I am new to motor control and I am trying to set up my P-Nucleo-IHM03 kit with MC Workbench 6.1.2. I would like to use FreeRTOS in combination with the 6-step algorithm but in the "Application Configuration" under "FreeRTOS" it is stated: "Selected hardware boards do not support this feature".I was wondering why FreeRTOS is not supported in this case? With the *same hardware* and the FOC algorithm selected there is no such statement and I am having no issues generating a FreeRTOS project. So for 6-step I would now try to add FreeRTOS in STM32CubeMX, but I would like to know if there is any adamant obstacle that would prevent the combination of 6-step with FreeRTOS either in hardware or the 6-step library?   Thanks

Hello,As I understand from datasheet if you use 64, 81, 100, 132 or 144 pin package there is separated power supply domain for USB transceivers, i.e. VDDUSB which should be connected between 3.0-3.6V or connected to VDD if USB is not used. However, 48-pin package does not have VDDUSB, so the question - if I am design my board around 1.8V will this MCU in 48-pin package work as intended, i.e., USB will enumerate and etc. ? Or I should switch to 3.3V, use level shifters from 1.8V to 3.3V?Thanks in advance!

I just read this document : https://www.st.com/content/dam/specialevents-assets/dc22/pdf/room-3-1-stdevcon22-session-nfc-for-wireless-charging.pdf there are two daughter boards, one based on ST25R3916 (NFC reader) and the other based on ST25DV-I2C (NFC dynamic tag). Both use STM32L476 as motherboard. However, the 3.3v power supply that I directly connected to L4 with EH energy in st25dv did not activate successfully. May I ask how to use NFC power supply to power MCU on the side of the label?
