Solved

Hi, I am working on a project for STM32F746ZGT6 that uses the RTC clocked from the LSE.In some cases I am seeing an issue where the LSE appears to start (LSERDY reads as 1 within the call to HAL_RCC_OscConfig from the peripheral libraries) but it appears that the clock is not running correctly.I can tell that the LSE is either not running at all, or running with incorrect frequency because:When I try to configure the RTC, I get a timeout inside RTC_EnterInitMode where it pends for 1 second on the INITF flag being setIf I use TIM5 to measure the LSE clock period, I can see that the period is not always as expected, and sometimes I do not get any timer interrupt at allMy main question is, what are the conditions needed for LSERDY to be set to 1?Clearly whatever these conditions are, they are being met, but I would like to know specifically what this means so that I can try to narrow down the source of issues with my LSE clock

Hello,I'm working with MKBOXPRO and I'm using the Entry/Expert Firmware to send to my app via bluetooth accelerations and gyro speeds. I think default ODR is 60 Hz for both datas. How can I modify ODR and increase it?In case there isn't a way to do it wiithout coding which files of which fimrware I have to modify? Thanks, best regards.CClaudio De Checchi

Dear ST Community,I am currently working on a project using STM CUBE IDE. In that, I didn't find NUCLEO-F070CB (48 pin) IC in board selector section and require some guidance on how to install a software package for NUCLEO-F070CB. Could anyone please provide me with steps on how to install and use the software package?Thank you in advance for your assistance.Best regards,Santhosh Kumar

Hi all,I am in the process of bringing up a prototype board with a STM32L4R7ZIT6. I'm using CubeMX and use it for generating the startup code. I've configured a lot of peripherals. When I configure PG10 as an input, the CPU crashes. Exactly at the moment that te confirmation is written in te control register of the io-port. When no other io's are configured, there is no problem. I tried to remove a lot of the peripherals, but the problem still exists. Is this a known issue?

Hi all,I'm trying to implement Active Tamper in STM32U585 controller, im trying to generate the SEED, the Seed is getting generated, but the SEED is not getting updated in the SEED reg of tamper, i'm attaching the code and seed values generated for reference. can anyone help me whats wrong here, reference image for Seed reg not updated.

I have stm32wb55 , i have created a service using stm32cubeIDE, in that i have like 3 characteristics  1:: myChar, 2: mynotify and 3: mywrite,, ( mynotify has nothing to do with this problem). mychar is used to read the value only and mywrite is set to read and write the value, so in my st tools app if i try to update the value of mychar using this command, it does update the value    (  Custom_STM_App_Update_Char(CUSTOM_STM_MYCHAR, (uint8_t *)UpdateCharData); BUT If i try to write the value for MYWRITE in the app, it does write the value and read exactly the same, but i dont know where the value is stored in the program,   i have tried to get value from a instance like (CUSTOM_STM_MYWRITE)   it does have some value but its not what i have written in the app. i have tried this command as well    (   Custom_STM_App_Update_Char(CUSTOM_STM_MYWRITE,CUSTOM_STM_MYCHAR);to get the MYCHAR value in MYWRITE but as th

Hi.I made 3~4 F401RTCU boards and have no problem. But, last board cannot use STM32CUBEIDE debug mode.Target reset error is occurred.I can program hex to this board by st-link utility but stm32cubeide cannot debug this board. This error comes from H/W problem?Reset circuit looks no problem, I use normal reset circuit. R/C circuit. Please help me.

Hi all,  May I kindly ask some suggestions about the best practices, how to use e.g. printf for instrumenting logs that both of the dual M7 and M4 core could print at the same time?(Best case is through the same port...)  Some background information: I was previously trying to write a debug library using ITM and SWV but seems not be able to work as expected. Details: https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-products/how-to-call-itm-sendchar-with-stm32h755-dual-core-mcu-but-on-cm4/td-p/604888  Many thanks in advance!

Hallo,I used in my app fmaf function and I found it doesn't behave as expected:y = fmaf(a1,a2,a3) should be y = a1*a2 + a3but I got as result y = a1*a2 without additive term.Of course I can and use "classic" expresion instead this functions.Is this a bug or maybe I misunderstood something?I'm using STM32CubeIDE 1.13.2, and STM32F401ceu...Greg Below is also dissasembled piece of code: 137 q = fmaf(0.98564736f, D, 280.459f);080014ea: vldr s2, [pc, #200] ; 0x80015b4 <Sun_Longitude_Deg+332>080014ee: vldr s1, [r7, #4]080014f2: vldr s0, [pc, #188] ; 0x80015b0 <Sun_Longitude_Deg+328>080014f6: bl 0x800c8d0 <fmaf>fmaf:0800c8d0: vfma.f32 s0, s0, s10800c8d4: bx lr0800c8d6: movs r0, r0__ieee754_atan2:

I want to know my board(STM32H750)'s CPU usage when it is running. I used freeRTOS in my softwrae system. Is there any tools or any ways to get CPU usage during the system is running?

Hii, i am new at stm32 controller & i want a pwm phase shift of 90 degree . So can anyone plz tell me that how i will generate the phase shifted pwm (what parameters we need to set to get it)

Hi,I have the STM32H745XI Discovery Kit and would like to get the source code for the firmware it is shipped with. Where can I find the source?8-Dale

I have octospi hyperram memory to use on stm32h7b0 with nor flash I usually use stm32cubemx because it make the life easier but it's my first time configuring memories with it..can anyone help me with that ?

Hello Everyone,I am using STM32F401CBU6 controller in my project and in this project it consists of 2 I2C slaves 1) Sensor 2) EEPROM.I2C1 is connected to slave and can able to communicate with the slave, later i have connected external EEPROM, started configuring and while configuring in CUBE IDE it is throwing warning as partly disabled conflict with I2C3 over RCC and SYS.have checked with clock configurations everything looks fine cant able to figure it out what might causing this issue. If i ignore and going forward means the sensor which i have connected cant able to receive the device id which is receiving in previous case.Help me if anyone know about it.Thank youANIL.

Hello,I started with configuring all 4 of the U5's LPTIMs to "Count internal clock events", sourcing all of them with LSE and using different period values for each. The autogenerated code (STM32CubeIDE v1.13.2) worked, meaning each timer toggled independent GPIO outputs at the expected rates. The main.c file is attached. Then I enabled RTC in the IOC and regenerated the code. If run from the debugger it works, but if run outside the debugger then the GPIO outputs toggled by the timers never get toggled. I can tell from a 5th GPIO output that it is in the do-nothing mainloop and not the Error_Handler() loop.Is there some conflict or constraints between the LPTIMs and RTC that either prevent or limit how they can be used together? Thanks

Hello, where can I find current CMRT 6.31 in EXCEL format ?  Thanks.

In the case of normal CAN, the mailboxes were full and to send more than 3, use HAL_CAN_GetTxMailboxesFreeLevel(hcan) != 3In the case of DF CAN there are no mainboxes but FIFO or Queue mode, how do I empty it in DF CAN? without using delay and of courseI'm using DF CAN as a normal configuration communicating with an esp32, I can already receive the 3 values with the esp32, I just need to know how to clear the FIFO

I want to change the DMA memory according to the PWM signal and change the GPIO pin to turn on/off automatically based DMA memory information. Are there any good examples of this?

Hello,I am using a H723ZG Nucleo 144 STM32 Board, with an CCA02M2 expansion mems mic board attached. I am wanting to read in audio data from the 2 built in mics on the expansion board using I2S with the nucleo board.  I am unsure how to setup/configure the I2S peripheral with the little documentation provided. Specifically, there are no code example for my specific board, the H7... As well as no exact mention of how to configure the pins.  Any help/guidance on where to start would be appreciated.

Hello, I want to ask about the maximum range of VL53L1CB, as it says in the table (as seen in attached photo) that it's up to 8m. However, in data sheet or specification just says over 400cm.1) So is the performance should be good at 8m range outdoors? 2) What does it mean 8x8, what kind of data will I receive? Thanks.

STM32CubeIDE 1.13.2 is showing a warning about SMPS for STM32U5 chips every time the code is generated (see attached). This is done even for chips which do not have the SMPS pinout, e.g. STM32U595VJT (non Q), which is completely invalid. But even when a chip does have SMPS, a designer may choose not to use it - why does this warning have to be shown every time the code is generated? For reference CubeMX used in this version of IDE is:Version: 6.9.2-RC4Build: 20230910-1412 (UTC)

Hi everyone,I am trying to use an STM32WB55 to detect iBeacons and have found that if an iBeacon does not have it's GeneralDiscoverable flag set then it is not detected by the system. I believe that the iBeacon is being filtered by the coprocessor on the STM32WB before it gets to the application code.Has anyone else encountered this or can confirm that iBeacons that do not have the GeneralDiscoverable flag set are being filtered out by the coprocessor before getting to the application code on the Cortex-M4.

I'm having trouble in bringing up my custom board. I've made a custom device tree using CubeMX and adding the sections as described in "Lab-MP15_FromPartNumber_To_BasicDeviceTree_with_CubeMx". I can program fsbl-boot and fip-boot, but i'm not able to boot:E/TC:0 tzc_it_handler:79 TZC permission failureE/TC:0 dump_fail_filter:417 Overrun violation on filter 0E/TC:0 dump_fail_filter:420 Permission violation on filter 0E/TC:0 dump_fail_filter:425 Violation @0xfff09000, non-secure privileged write, AXI ID 480Also earlier in the log:E/TC:0 0 print_probe_list:366 |- Driver stm32mp1-cpu-opp on node cpu0-opp-table failedI've seen earlier topics on this error (@debugging), the solution was to add a 'reserved memory' section in the u-boot device tree.I have this in my device tree, tried both 0xce000000 and 0xde000000, but I still get the error, any ideas?Attached is the full log and de decompiled .dtb from u-boot.

Hi!I am using a STM32U599VJT6 device without SMPS but getting this message when generating code:    What is supposed to be configured? Thanks in advance

HelloI'm trying to setup i2c communication from our microcontroller atxmega128a1u to the st25dv64kc.I've been trying to set it up via a twi interface of the microcontroller and no matter what command I send to the s25dv I always get a NoAcK response. There is no device in the RF field. What could be the cause of this and how could it be fixed? Thanks,Alex
