I am in the  process of designing a custom PCB board that uses the CN4 ST-link pins to flash to the processor (rather than the standard USB Micro-B connector). Through testing with a multimeter, I have confirmed that the CN4 line is connected to the processor, and the CN2 jumpers are linked to the embedded st-link processor. Where I am hazy on is how the jumper effects me using the CN4 pins. If I were to not include the embedded st-link and CN2 jumpers (for all I know currently, it is just used to flash other devices), would I still be able to properly flash my STM32L476 processor?

Hello everyone. I started developing a zigbee zigbee application on a custom PCB, and since I don't need that much space I used the STM32WB55CC MCU. Everything went great until I had all components planted and wanted to update the zigbee stack when I realized that in the release notes there is no address for updating the Zigbee stack in the 256k MCUs. Does this mean the 256k devices don't support zigbee? Or is there a way I can update the stack on it.Thanks! :)

I'm trying to perform a headless build for our gitlab's pipeline. However, I encountered some problems with it.Firstly, I want to mention that the build process went smoothly before, but then as I need to change the name of the project, problem arises with the pipeline. So far, I have managed to change all the required changed in the .cproject, .project and other references to the old project name. Hence, when I tried to perform a build and even a debug session from my PC, it went perfectly fine, without any problems. The same goes with building the project via a headless build process manually from a linux machine (the docker image of my pipeline). However, when I tried to run it automatically from Gitlab's runner, it failed saying:  URI: file:/builds/6tyu7Drk/0/path/projName is not valid in the workspace!   The steps for my successful manual headless build:  git clone http://address_of_repo/projName.git /builds/6tyu7Drk/0/path/projName cd

Hey,I am starting to write a new project on STM32H745ZI.Core M7 is responsible for control and core M4 is responsible for communication with a computer.There is a lot of data that I want to share between the two cores, there is data that the access speed is critical only for the M7 core and there is data that the access speed is critical for both cores.my question:Is there a connection between which part of SRAM I save the data and the data access speed for each core?If so, where should I save data in different cases of needing access speed?Thanks for the helpers!!

Hi. I am luisI have question about STM32F413CGU6 FW upgrade using USBQ1. how can I setting Stm32CubeIDE usb parameters?? FW upgrade is only use "OTG"??I can use USB mode only "host" or "device".Q2. Is there another setting for standalone USB setting?? If it exist, please tell me. Q3. I have tried to use standalone FW upgrade code(stm32 github).but I found some files is missing. where can I find these files??? ref: https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeF4/blob/master/Projects/STM32469I-Discovery/Applications/USB_Host/FWupgrade_Standalone/below box files is missing upper git url...

During the debugging, I noticed HAL_GetTick() freezes, I mean uwTick does not update anymore and holds the same value. This issue is happening while the TIM15_IRQHandler is called and executes a function responsible for reading from an SPI communication, it is shown below:  uint8_t canSpi_readAdresss(spi_SlaveInterface* spi, uint8_t adress, uint8_t* rxData, uint8_t rxBytes) { uint8_t rxArray[2 + rxBytes]; uint64_t timeout = HAL_GetTick() + 5; while (timeout > HAL_GetTick()) { if (spi->master->activSlave == NULL) { uint8_t msgData[2]; msgData[0] = 0b00000011; // read msgData[1] = adress; if (spi_TransmitReceive_(spi, msgData, 2, rxArray, rxBytes) == 0) { for (uint8_t i = 0; i < rxBytes; ++i) { rxData[i] = rxArray[2 + i]; } return 0; } else { //rxData = 0; } } } return 0xff; }  The HAL_GetTick()  holds the same value, therefore the execution gets stuck in the while-loop. It can happe

Hey everyone. First time user and absolute newbie on ESC's and e-skates.Bought a FLIPSKY mini ESC 4.20 and I am not able to connect it to my PC. Nothing happens when I plug the USB cable and nothing changes on my Device Manager too. Tried to install the Virtual COM ports driver but, again, nothing changed. Tried to manually add the drivers to the COM / LPT ports and it did accept this install but with an error message. Not sure where to go from here and also not sure this is the best place to look for troubleshooting but, in all honesty, I am lost........... :( Thanks guysMiguel R.

Hi to everyone.I have created an new project and didnt change anything.i just debug the code but  i am always getting an error like this   C:/ST/STM32CubeIDE_1.14.0/STM32CubeIDE/plugins/com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.gnu-tools-for-stm32.11.3.rel1.win32_1.1.100.202309141235/tools/bin/../lib/gcc/arm-none-eabi/11.3.1/../../../../arm-none-eabi/bin/ld.exe: cannot open linker script file C:\Users\Onur YaÄŸcı\Desktop\STM32 PROJECTS CUBE\STM32F401CB3\STM32F401CBUX_FLASH.ld: No such file or directorycollect2.exe: error: ld returned 1 exit statusmake: *** [makefile:88: STM32F401CB3.elf] Error 1"make -j16 all" terminated with exit code 2. The data sheet for the STM32H735 (DS13312) lists "ADC3_INP16" as an additional function for PH5, and this function is also available for selection in both STM32Cube IDE and STM32CubeMX.However, in looking at the STM32H735 reference manual (RM0468) , the ADC3 connectivity figure (29.4.4 Figure 231) does not list ADC3_INP16.ADC3 has 19 total inputs (external inputs 0..15 and 3 internal inputs for vbat, vsense, and vrefinit),What is the purpose of ADC3_INP16 as an additional function on this pin?  It seems unlikely that the IDE and data sheet both contain this same error, but in reading the documentation I cannot understand what the purpose of using the pin for this function would be.Thank you.

Hello. I have recently purchased STM32L0538-DISCO board and I want to play a bit with the E-paper display. After struggling for a couple of hours trying to find some sample code or projects to run on STM32CubeIDE, I have found somewhat relevant thread here:https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-touch-gfx-and-gui/problem-with-stm32l0538-disco-e-paper/td-p/230661 I have located STM32_Cube_FW_L0_V1.12.2 on my PC and tried to follow the migration guide UM2579.Unfortunately, I have not been able to migrate the project to STM32CubeIDE as I think the instructions are not fully clear. My questions regarding migrating the project:1. The first step in the guide mentions that I need to make a copy of the project and copy that inside the workspace currently being used in STM32CubeIDE. I cannot understand how to properly do that. First of all, when it refers to "make a copy of the project" which directory does it refer to exactly? Does it refer to whole Demonstrations directory?

When ever i am trying to copy data in SDRAM garbage value is getting transferred. Please suggest what can i do  I have attached necessary files with this post.Kindly suggest.

I am using emmc in place of SD-card for custom hardware of STM32MP135FAE7. If FlashLayout_sdcard_stm32mp135f-dk-optee.tsv file will work using STM32cube programmer to upload all boot files??Whether all procedure will be same for boot sequence as we do for STM32mp135f-dk development kit, like switch positions etc.?? Please clear this doubt!!!

Hello, I apologize if this is completely the wrong place to ask this question.  I've been trying to learn and soak up as much information as I can about PCB board design, components, etc through a restoration project on a very old hard drive.  But I am admittedly a novice here, and information on this chip seems so hard to find...I have a WD400BB that fails to spin up, and I purchased a donor PCB that matches it, however this one also fails to spin it up.  I've confirmed using a different PCB, with the same 4-pin motor interface that the physical motor is functioning, which shows that the issue is with the board(s).  What is curious is that both the original and the "new" board exhibit the same symptom (coincidence?).My troubleshooting so far has led me here.  I've been testing the motor controller, which is an ST L6262 2.6 chip.  I cannot find a datasheet on this component which has me stuck.  The closest one I found was the L6268, but it seems like

Hello,I have a project that need external loader for QSPI Flash (STM32F412G-Disco board).I'm using Visual Studio Code to write code and build the project. It work fine and i can load it with STM32CubeProgrammer.For other project, without External Loader, I have configured Visual Studio code to load the binary. It use the extension cortex-debug and a launch.json file where you configure:servertype; "openocd"device; STM32F41xconfigFiles: board/stm32f412g-disco.cfg...It load fine the MCU, but not the external memory.Does anyone knows if it is possible to load the external memory from Visual Studio Code and if yes how to do it ?Thank youAntoine

Hi.I am learning how to turn on LED2 of a NUCLEO-G474RE board by using registers (without HAL).I have created a small project which contains:    // This first block works and updates the registers // Start GPIOA Clock (*(uint32_t*)0x4002104C) &= ~(1 << 0); /* AHB2ENR clear */ (*(uint32_t*)0x4002104C) |= (1 << 0); /* AHB2ENR set */ (*(uint32_t*)0x4002102C) &= ~(1 << 0); /* AHB2STR clear */ (*(uint32_t*)0x4002102C) |= (1 << 0); /* AHB2STR set */ // This block doesn't work // Set mode 10 for GPIOA PIN 5 (*(uint32_t*)0x48000000) &= ~(0x3 << 5 * 2); /* GPIOA MODER clear */ (*(uint32_t*)0x48000000) |= (0x2 << 5 * 2); /* GPIOA MODER set */ // This block doesn't work // Set GPIOA PIN 5 as HIGH/SET state (*(uint32_t*)0x48000014) &= ~(1 << 5); /* GPIOA ODR clear */ (*(uint32_t*)0x48000014) |= (1 << 5); /* GPIOA ODR set */    The RCC register to enable clock for AHB2ENR seems to work. I can

I'm looking for the low power function of the STM32F103TB. I have some questions about this function:1. I read the code of the AN2629, there has no interrupt routine code. So when we use the RTC alarm and the PA0 (wake-up pin) to wake up the MCU, where the MCU recover from after the stop mode entering (WFE +NOP)? it starts to implement the RTC interrupt (or EXTI0) or RTC alarm (EXTI17)?  or just to continue to implement after the NOP? I checked the document, I guess it may not cause any interrupt actually, just to wake-up, then to continue to the last instruction (NOP). Is it right? But the corresponding bit is still available, so user should then to check the flag bit to identify which has happened? Is it right?2. When recover from the stop mode, all the clocks should be re-initialized (configured again). But all of the other registers of the peripheral don't because they are keeping the values. is it right?3. Do I need to disable the (global) interrupt before enter the stop mode

Cubemx 6.10.0 generates wrong constant "OPAMP_POWERMODE_NORMAL" for STM32G471 when using LL liberary. I should be LL_OPAMP_POWERMODE_NORMAL

I'm new to this STM32 world and I'm actually trying to use the LCD on board STM32H747I-Discovery. I've search for the documentation and drivers but I didn't find any information how to use LCD. Also, I want to try wiring B-CAMS-OMV to display on LCD but I didn't find any further information about that on the drivers too. I'll appreciate if anyone else can help me with this problem.

I am trying to configure SPI5 on STM32MP151C where MPU is a master and ESP32C6 is a slave. The clock used in the device tree is HSI 64MHz. SPI driver is running with 2MHz configured and divisor in the SPI_CFG1 register is correctly set to 32. In the dmesg logs I could see that speed is set to 2MHz. What is actually measured with oscilloscope on a clk out is approximately a 1/1000 of configured frequency, around 1.8 kHz. Furthermore duty cycle is clearly not a 50%. Would appreciate any ideas what might be wrong. Could it be some other function configured on that same pin used for clock? Problem in the device tree?

Hi! If I have a running FreeRtos task that for example is sending data with SPI, will ILDE event (callback) from uart dma affect the SPI? If so how to prevent this and at the same time dont lose data from uart?

Hi I'm trying to write some data in to ST25dv64 NFC TAG using custom mobile application, before writing data into NFC tag we are encrypting message. encryption method is AES 128 CBC, the encrypted message has some non-printable characters, like 0x91, 0x8a, 0xdf which are getting converted in to 0xEF 0xBF 0xBD when stored in NFC EEPROM, when we read NFC tag using host controller, we are seeing in the memory in the place of one byte (say 0x91) we are seeing 3 bytes (0xEF 0xBF 0xBD), because of this decryption is failing on host controller. I'm new to this AES encryption and I'm not sure where the issue is? whether it is in NFC TAG or encoding data. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I tried to use ADC in F411 to read two ADC inputs.My hardware is a F411-Nucleo board; my IDE is CubeIDE.The followings are my ADC settings in IDE:                                 I use 2 channels in ADC1 (IN1, IN4)I also use DMA to obtain ADC results.I use volatile uint16_t adc_reading[2]to store the 2 readings.Here is the code in the while loop of main.c while (1) { adc_read_complete = 0; HAL_ADC_Start_DMA(&hadc1, (uint32_t *)adc_reading, adc_ch_cnt); while(adc_read_complete == 0); /* USER CODE END WHILE */ /* USER CODE BEGIN 3 */ sprintf(uart2_str, "\t%d %d\n", adc_reading[0], adc_reading[1]); HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart2, (uint8_t *)uart2_str, strlen(uart2_str), 999); HAL_Delay(2500); }adc_ch_cnt is 2.I have two problems:Only adc_reading[0] has a valid reading; adc_reading[1] is always 0; even I defi

Hello, and thanks in advance for your help.  I'm trying to debug (repair) an old circuit board on which we have a 14 pin surface mount chip with the labeling, ST EZFT V6294AI MRC021. Is this one of your chips? If so, is it possible to get a datasheet, or at least a pinout as a couple of the pads have lifted from my board and I'd like to know if those pins are critical to the functionality, ground, or maybe even NC. (@Peter BENSCH I saw your reply in this thread about product markings and thought of asking you directly, here, too.)   Thanks very much and Happy New Year to you all.

Hello everyone.While attempting to install STM32CubeIDE on Debian i was unable to accept the agreement due to the absence of the option to enter Y or N.Reference image:When the terminal text is scrolled downwards the options are not visible either.

Hello everybody,I want to use the STM32F042G6U6 MCU with one button on PA6 pin if I press the button it should toggle between STOP mode and run. Is this possible at all?How can I do this? I was able to enter STOP mode or exit from it but I cant toggle it in the same interrupt.And how does exactly this routine works? When exiting from STOP mode what happens, where is the program start from?Thanks in advance for the help,Kok Barnabás
