Hi,I'm trying to send data from ADC to FMAC directly via DMA in circular mode. From the STM32G4 reference manual (dm00355726) page 402:"Peripheral-to-memory, memory-to-peripheral, memory-to-memory and peripheral-to-peripheral data transfers"But I can't find anything on STM32CubeG4 that configures that. Here's a screenshot: I've tried writing to FMAC write data register directly usingHAL_ADC_Start_DMA(&hadc1, &FMAC->WDATA, 1)But it doesn't work. What worked for me was setting the DMA circular mode for both ADC and FMAC, then syncronize it using DMAMUX requests. Although this eliminates the CPU in the process, it doesn't feel like a true peripheral-to-peripheral transaction. How can I make a DMA transfer content from one peripheral to another, directly?Kind regards,Helder

Hi. Updates:1) Cancelled our original order with DK due to the ECCN delays. Did receive a notice from the open ticket with ST support that the ECCN issue has been resolved with DK. Mouser did not have this delay so ordered the tool from their store.2) The STM32U5G9J-DK2 has arrived. Attempting to run anything on this target and facing the following error message log. Unable to locate the hardware guide for the STM32U5G9J-DK2 on the ST website. Can this required document (and schematics) be made available? Unable to determine which jumper setting and which USB cables are required to reflash. I'm currently working on a project using the STM32L433 MCU with the SD peripheral. While trying to use the HAL driver with read and write operations the functions return an timeout. While tracing the command and data lines the command is sent but the FIFO is not emptied this leads to the timeout as the SD card isn't done writing. Also while only reading the data only the command is sent and no data is exchanged. In the initialization of the SD card data is exchanged so the functionality of the SD card is working. Also multiple cards are used to test and all have the same response as it doesn't send the data. In the screenshot is CMD24 sent and a response from the card with the status in transfer state and ready for data flag is 1. Card data as the CID and CSD are received properly. While using the debugger the SDMMC1.FIFO is written to and the address and offset correspond to the reference manual register address of the FIFO so writing to that address should write to the FIFO. Also in th

Hi!I'm having problem connecting the board to a Windows 10 PC. Connecting the board to the USB it works in standalone mode, but the USB driver (PowerShield Virtual ComPort in FS Mode) is not installed, so I can't use the board with the STM32CubeMonitor-Power. Windows Device Manages tells that device drivers have not been installed, and the associated COM port is obviously not existing. Is the X-NUCLEO-LPM01A not functioning properly or am I missing something?

Dear STMicroelectronics Support Team, I hope this message finds you well. I am interested in identifying a microcontroller that meets certain specifications for my project. I would appreciate your assistance in identifying the most suitable MCU. MCU Requirements: Low-pin package type: SO (Small Outline), SOIC (Small Outline Integrated Circuit), or TSSOP (Thin Shrink Small Outline Package). Should be I2C (Inter-Integrated Circuit) compatible. Must have a built-in Real-Time Clock (RTC) module. Should include a VBAT pin for battery backup. If you could provide information about any MCU that meets these requirements or suggest where I can find such information on your website, I would be very grateful. Thank you very much for your time and assistance. Sincerely,

Hey,I'm completely new to the topic of microcontrollers and currently trying to prepare for an internship (preparation and prior knowledge are not required, but I would still like to prepare myself). Since I already the chip (STM32L4A6) I'm going to work with, I bought a board (NUCLEO-L4A6ZG) with this chip. Despite finding a diverse set of resources and examples for other boards (I also checked the GitHub repos for examples, but the board wasn't available), but the only thing I could achieve was programming the LEDs and playing around with the buttons. The configuration of printf has so far been a complete failure (I tried using UART).I've tried using the datasheet and the user manual for help, but that hasn't really helped me so far as I felt completely overwhelmed and lost.I'm sorry if this is not the right place to ask for tips, resources and examples for this board and chip, to start with, but it would really help me. Thanks

I was going to turn on USB VCP support into my latest research project on a Nucleo-H563ZI, and noticed that the normal middleware for USB devices doesn't seem to be there. (I've been using F4s and F7s for years, wrote articles on how to get started using them and basically been an ST fanboy and STM32 proponent for a while).Anyway, unless I missed something, it looks like the USB middleware assumes ThreadX/Azure RTOS, as do the examples. Now I typically don't care for much that Microsoft puts their grubby mitts on, but if ThreadX is going to be the supported RTOS path for ST and Cube, so be it. I guess it's time to throw another RTOS into the pool. So far I've used uC/OS-II/III, RTEMS, and FreeRTOS, and have seen others pop up as the next-great-RTOS and fade away. So, is ST planning on continuing with FreeRTOS? Move to ThreadX? Follow Nordic in using Zephyr? Writing their own?It would be nice to know where you're heading because I do this sort of stuff for a living and have to support st

I got a custom board made with these two ics and I tried to program the mcu. However, when facing FLASH and RAM size constrains I decided to remove certain parts of the library to make it fit(I removed crosstalk calibration since I don't have a cover material).  However I am now facing issues with the sensor not working(I2C works), and I have to determine if it's because of something I did, board design or something wrong with the sensor. The measurements that I'm getting have the 255 status, and while debugging I found that the sensor returns less streams than expected. So a couple questions first:1) Does the sensor require restarting via XSHUT to properly work?2) Would the ST-LINK programmer be able to supply enough power for both chips?3) How should I proceed with debugging?4) Does ST have a smaller library for this sensor(I have been unable to find one)?

Hello, all.I'm trying to design and build my first STM32 project, a timer. I'm using the STM32L101K4 and have it configured as illustrated in the attached screenshot. The pins are configured in STM32CubeIDE as:External LSE on 2 & 3LCD connections on 7-13, 25-27. Pins 8 and 25 are PWM pins to control the LCD's backlight and contrast.A rotary encoder and push-button switch on 19-21.Some LEDs on 22, 28 & 29.SWD on 23 & 24.And, an unassigned GPIO pin on 30.I also have configured:System Core->RCC->LSESystem Core->SYS->Debug Serial WireTimers->TIM2->Channel 1 PWM Generation and Channel 3 PWMAll of these are configured without conflict, I think.I'm puzzled now that I can't assign a role like GPIO_Output to unused pins, such as 6, 14, 15, 18 or 31. Assigning a role such as GPIO_Output (I didn't try other roles) generates a conflict in the configuration, with yellow triangles and magenta backgrounds. Is it true that, because of the configuration I've chosen, these p

I am using a NUCLEO-L476 board with X-Nucleo-NFC08A1, attempting to compile the provided example by ST, NFC08A1_PollingTagDetectNDEF. Hi, Im working on a project which need using a op-amp and a comparator. In that matter I’ve looked at the tsv6395 which have great spec as an op-amp, but i wonder if it is acceptable to use one channel as comparator? the signal is about 100hzThanks for any advice,Mg

Hallo,is there something I have to check if ITM_SendChar doesn't work? I mean, I have overwritten the write function in syscalls.c and enabled in the debugger settings the swv viewer at the correct clock, enabled swv trace (the same things I did using the nucleo board), but nothing appears in the ITM Data  Console. Is there something else to configure? Now I'm using this board. STM32U5A9J-DKThank youIsabella

Hello,I have STM32WB5MM-DK evaluation kit and I am trying to get example Zigbee_OnOff_Client_Router working. I updated FUS (v. 1.2.0) and Zigbee FFD (v.1.18.0). Example do not work, I get an error "Fatal Error" on terminal and display:[M4 APPLICATION] APP_ZIGBEE_Init[M4 APPLICATION] **********************************************************[M4 APPLICATION] WIRELESS COPROCESSOR FW:[M4 APPLICATION] VERSION ID = 1.18.0[M4 APPLICATION] **** Fatal error = ERROR Unknown (Err = 0)I debugged application and I found that error comes on this point (stm32_seq.c)/* Execute the task */TaskCb[CurrentTaskIdx]( );Any idea, what could be wrong? I tested all other zigbee examples also and all have the same error. I am using latest Stm32CubeIde.

Im trying to use the TouchGFX designer "text & translations" as a database of sorts.I've tried to use the function getText(text id) from the Reference but i'm not able to locate the text ID. The code below is from the TouchGFX framework.const touchgfx::Unicode::UnicodeChar* touchgfx::Texts::getText(TypedTextId id) const { return &currentLanguagePtr[currentLanguageIndices[id]]; }Searching through the project files for the TouchGFX Designer text ID returns the texts.xml file with IDs but that is more of an internal framework thing.I simply want to do the following.setLanguage(GB); Text_GB = getText(Save); setLanguage(DE); Text_DE = getText(Save); //Text_GB would be Save //Text_DE would be SpeichernBelow is an image from the designer with the IDs. How would i go about doing this within the TouchGFX framework?Any help is appreciated!

hello.I am creating a new development environment with this new PC purchase.I installed the latest version(1.14.0) of CubeIDE and imported the old project that was building normally. I expect it to build fine, but you get an error while building the project.Here's a breakdown of the error....process_begin: CreateProcessW(D:\ST\STM32CubeIDE\plugins\com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.make.win32_2.1.100.202310302056\tools\bin\sh.exe, D:/ST/STM32CubeIDE/plugins/com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.make.win32_2.1.100.202310302056/tools/bin/sh.exe -c "arm-none-eabi-gcc \"../FATFS/Target/sd_diskio.c\" -mcpu=cortex-m4 -std=gnu18 -DUSE_HAL_DRIVER -DSTM32F429xx -DEW_FRAME_BUFFER_COLOR_FORMAT=EW_FRAME_BUFFER_COLOR_FORMAT_RGB565 -c -I../Drivers/CMSIS/Include -I.../Drivers/STM32F4xx_HAL_Driver/Inc -I../Drivers/STM32F4xx_HAL_Driver/Inc/Legacy -I../Drivers/CMSIS/Device/ST/STM32F4xx/Include -I../Drivers/Driver -I../Drivers/Driver/components -I.../Drivers/Driver/components/stmpe811 -I../Driv

Hi, I would like to ask for some clarification about LSM6DSO's sensor hub features.1. I am considering mode 2 to connect two sensors to LSM6DSO and LSM6DSO will communicate with MCU in i2c interface. In this case, when connecting two sensors, say LI2MDL and LPS22DF, to LSM6DSO,  would I connect them to LSM6DSO's MSDA and MSCL in typical i2c bus connection with corresponding optional resistors, if needed? 2. I am aware that max ODR of slave sensors connected to LSM6DSO when using mode 2 for sensor hub is 104 Hz. Then if I set LPS22DF's ODR to 100 Hz, would the ODR of LPS22DF stay as 100 Hz? If there is anything I am mistaken about, please do correct me.Thanks,

Hello,I am trying to explore the STWIN Starter Kit (SensorTile Wireless Industrial Mode) functionality. My OS is Windows 11. I plan to collect data and train models, so I am trying to use Unicleo GUI to define the sensors to be used, the full scale, the sampling frequency or ODR (Output Data Rate). However, Unicleo does not detect the board ("port not open"). What I have done so far :turned the board in DFU mode (by connecting the USB cable while keeping the USR button pressed)opened STM32CubeProgrammerin the Erasing & Programming tab, erased flash memory (erased all sectors)in the Erasing & Programming tab, flashed the binary "DataLogExtended.bin" from the FP-SNS-STBOX1 (folder STM32CubeFunctionPack_FP-SNS-STBOX1_V1.6.0\Projects\STM32L4R9ZI-SensorTile.box\Applications\DataLogExtended\Binary) into the boarddisconnected the board, unpluged and pluged the USB and long-pressed the RESET button at this step, I could see a new COM port (COM3) and a virt

Hello,STM32L476 data sheet Rev 8 talks in 3.15 about "Down to 18.75 ns sampling time" while table 77 only lists a minimal 31.25 ns minimal sampling time. Is 18.75 ns sampling time possible and with what setting?

Hello everyone,I encountered a problem while using TouchGFX. I want to use an external Flash which is connected via QUADSPI.The Flash works fine (manually loading and writing some informations into the memory). Block mode, Memory Mapped mode, both do not create a problem. But now I want to take the next step and integrate it into my custom project with TouchGFX.I want to store the images and so on in the external Flash. I saw the function "External Data Reader" in CubeMX.But in my project the enable option is greyed out. I don't know why.(TouchGFX Version 4.21.3, CubeMX 6.8.0) I "solved" the problem. If the DMA2D is disabled, I can choose the external data reader. But Why?Chrom-ART respectively DMA2D is "nice to have". If you could help it would be really nice. Thank you really much.

Hello,I'm trying to use the ADC to measure the Vbat voltage on my STM32F401RCT6 but i get some strange values. Here is my setup in the device configuration tool: And here is the code with the returned values: Vref_Val = 303Vbat_Val = 932 I have connected a CR1220 battery, but the Vref value seems to be really small for a 12 bits ADC value. I'm pretty new to STM so if anyone could help me thats would be great. Thanks!

Hello,I am using STM32G491 controller for my application. I am trying to use FMAC module for FIR filter implementation for my application. I am referring the STM32G4-Peripheral-Filter_Math_Accelerator_FMAC.pdf FMAC pdf document. I have also referred the FMAC example sample code https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeG4/tree/master/Projects/NUCLEO-G474RE/Examples/FMAC/FMAC_FIR_DMAToITAs the FMAC module  accepts input buffer in q1.15 format.I have used below formula to convert int16_t  value to q1.15 format.Number = 100;/First , normalizationfloat v1_f = 100/32767.0;//second, convert the normalized results into Q Formatv1_q15 = int16_t(V1_f *0x8000) +0.5;placed this v1_q15 value as the buffer element. Is the above formula for q1.15 conversion is correct?  I am not getting the expected output which I have calculated from the FIR filter formula. Can any one support me to convert the integer value to q1.15 format and q1.15 format output to integer n

HelloI am working in dual bank mode with STM32G474RET6 MCU. I want to store some default values in internal flash beyond last programmed firmware's data address. For example I have following contents in flash (shown from STM32CubeProgrammer):Data starting at address 0x0804B040 (default values I stored) read as 0xFF. While data before this address as 0x41, 0x53 and etc.. is read correctly.I tried to store defaults values even at the last blank page starting from address 0x0807F800, but also the same phenomenon - even I verify that it stored correctly - it is read as 0xFF.Tried to read values with debugger - and in this mode it is working and read correctly. What could be the problem? Is it some kind of issue with linker and etc??Please suggest me a solution. My read code for testing:#define FLASH_DEFAULTS_FLAG_ADD 0x0804B040#define FLASH1_DEFAULT_VAL_ADD 0x0804B041#define FLASH2_DEFAULT_VAL_ADD 0x0804B042uint32_t flash_address ;__IO uint8_t read_data = 0;if (HcArg == 0

Hello everyone,   for a project I try to build a small CAN Bus with several Nucleo 144F207 Boards. Sadly, I have a really hard time to get it to work even though it should be rather simple. The minimum setup consists of two boards and two CAN Tranciever PCB's: https://www.amazon.de/AZDelivery-CAN-Bus-Transceiver-Breakout-Board-Hochgeschwindigkeits-Physische-kompatibel-Standard/dp/B0CBKLH6SS/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=can%2Btransceiver&qid=1701683744&sr=8-3&th=1 Code is configured/generated via the CubeIDE. The Main Funktion looks like this: Spoiler (Highlight to read) int app_main(void) { CAN_TxHeaderTypeDef txHeader; uint8_t txData[8] = {0}; uint32_t txMailbox; txHeader.IDE = CAN_ID_STD; txHeader.StdId = 0x2AA; txHeader.RTR = CAN_RTR_DATA; txHeader.DLC = 2; txData[0] = 50; txData[1] = 0xAA; CAN_RxHeaderTypeDef rxHeader; //CAN Bus Transmit Header uint8_t canRX[8] = {0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0}; //CAN Bus Receive Buffer HAL_GPIO_WritePin(LD2_GPIO_Port, LD2_Pin, 0); // Actual main l

I am a begginer in the st enviroment, but still. I'm trying to use the touch sensing library, but there is very little good examples of how to just use one button as a sensor. I real all the documentation, still no good examples. I downloaded the libraryen.stm32cubel0_v1-12-0\STM32Cube_FW_L0_V1.12.0\Middlewares\ST\STM32_TouchSensing_Library, but the documentation is still refering about using tsl_user.c, which there isn't one in the folder... Can someone link an example or something that helps. Im using nucleo-l053r8
