I'm using the Nucleo F401RE board, and I was successfully reading analog signals from a 4-20mA signal generator for a project. I achieved this by connecting a 150-ohm resistor in series. However, the system suddenly stopped working, and upon investigation, I discovered that the LD3905 IC was overheating, and the microcontroller was also getting hot. Further examination revealed a short between the Analog pin PA1 (A1) and ground. I'm uncertain about the best course of action to get the board working again. Should I consider replacing the STM32F401 IC, or is there an alternative solution to resolve this issue?

Hello Team,We are considering STM32H562ZIT3QTR MCU for our design. There will be two Microcontroller in our design.MCU consists of one Octal SPI Interface. Can other Microcontroller be interface with STM32H562ZIT3QTR through Octal SPI or we can only interface flash memory?Regards,Kadam

Dear all,I set up a configuration to send message from ST board to PCAN USB and the other way around. When I send message from board to PCAN, it works just fine. I can see in the PCAN-View screen that the message is received successfully as shown below. On the other hand, I would like to send message from PCAN-View to board as well. But, I dont know how I can do that. I can set up message to transmit as see in below image, but how can I make sure if this message is received by the board? What should be the message ID for the message transmitted ? Please also see below the configuration of CAN controller. Could anyone please support me with this ?I have also attached the main.c file that I use for this task. Thanks.

From the console of CubeIDE, I have seen that for compiling the command used is make -j9 all. I am wondering what is the command used for running a project given that I cannot see it from the console.

An application will use two STM-32 MCUs - for purpose of this posting, I'll call them "outer" (it's SWDIO and SWCLK pins can be attached to a STLINK-V2 device for firmware downloading), and "inner" (it's SWDIO and SWCLK pins would be tied to two GPIO pins of "outer", and not be externally accessible.)My question is this - is it possible (by a combination of firmware running on "outer" and appropriate settings to STLINK-V2 such as an acceptable clock frequency) to have the "outer" MCU provide a transparent path (using as-yet undefined firmware running on "outer") so that STLINK-V2 attached to outer's SWDIO/SWCLK pins is passed bit-for-bit to the two GPIO pins (on "outer") which would be connected to SWDIO/SWCLK of "inner" MCU?The intent of this is to avoid having two separate connectors to which STLINK-V2 would be attached for debug and firmware delivery, and not be reliant on a bootloader (that is, the "inner" processor could be reloaded from scratch using STLINK-V2.)Happy to answer an

I have a program where I am trying to scan over 8 ADC channels on ADC1, take 10 samples from each and transfer to the DMA. From everything I have read, I cannot enable DMA Continuous Conversion on STM32F103, so I will need to use discontinuous scan mode.It appears that when I run HAL_ADC_Start_DMA, it only does a single conversion, rather than the 80 I would expect (I have buffer size set to 80). The only way I can get HAL_ADC_ConvCpltCallback to be called (which should indicate 10 scans) is to execute HAL_ADC_Start_DMA 80 times. Furthermore, all 80 measurements in the buffer are of the first channel in the rank order, meaning it's not remembering where it was in the sequence.I can't imagine that this is the intended behavior of the ADC. Something must be stopping the ADC after it does only one conversion and it doesn't even get to move onto the second one in the sequence. The relevant part of my main.c (which fills the buffer every 80 ms) is below, I have taken out parts that

Hello ST Community,I am currently working with the STM32L433RC microcontroller and I am exploring the possibility of utilizing USB 2.0 in Host mode for my application.  I am seeking guidance on the respective topic.

I need to implement a system with a real and fixed sampling frequency of at least 100kHz, using a STM32F103C8T6, for two analog signals. My main question is: what is the most optimal way to implement this system considering that I also need to do processing of those signals ideally on the same board?. I have just a superficial knowledge about the use of timer triggered interrupts but I don’t know how to implement it correctly for two channels and with this high sample rate.I would appreciate in advance if you could answer and provide me please with courses, videos, forums or documentation that could help me to implement this project.

Hallo,I want to update MASTER CMP1 over DMA and the others TIM_x on MASTER-update.New values of CMPx registry are calculated in SysTick_Handler() and should be updated at once. The problem is: MASTER update on DMA does not work.Could anyone please look at my tiny project? It is maintained over CubeMX.https://github.com/Maciej1975/HRTIM_3Phase/tree/master Kind Regards

Hello,I have issues installing TouchGFX Designer on Windows 11.I would like to install version 4.19.1 to edit an old project built with this version. When I do, I get the following window running endlessly :I also tried to install latest version (4.23.1) and it works. This makes me assume that version 4.19.1 doesn't support Windows 11. Am I right ?I tried to get some information on that topic in TouchGFX documentation but I haven't found an answer so far.Thank you for your answers

Hello,STM8S208RB.How can you read the AF bit in the I2C_SR2 register? When I try to read this bit, it is always 0 even if this bit is set to 1 (In debug mode I look at this bit that it is set to 1). For example, the following condition always gives the result: 0b00000000. The result is always 0b00000000 even if the AF bit is set to 1. Why?

Hello. Why STM32CubeIDE suggesting me to autocomplete u (unsigned type) as a u_int32_t if it doesn't built? However uint32_t works well. What is the difference using u_intXX_t and uintXX_t?

Hi team,I have an STM32MP157 board with a Cortex-M4 processor. I have a simple task, which is to toggle the GPIO at maximum speed with accuracy, ensuring that the clock width does not vary. The maximum toggle speed we require is approximately 15ns between the rising and falling edges. Using the Keil IDE, it is possible to achieve this speed with the Nucleo F746ZG board, which has the same speed as the STM32MP157 for the Cortex-M4 processor.I have generated code in Cube IDE, but the speed we achieved for the STM32MP157 Cortex-M4 is slow, around 60ns. The code used to toggle the GPIO in a while loop is as follows:GPIOF->BSRR = LED_Pin << 16;GPIOF->BSRR = LED_Pin;I appreciate any assistance in improving the toggle speed for the STM32MP157 Cortex-M4.Thank you.Kundan Jha

I am trying to perform a firmware upgrade but I keep receiving an error message Error: Rollback to older version of FW detected and not allowed! Is there a way to get around this error? I have added a photo of the stm programmer page. Additionally - can someone please confirm the order of performing an update? Should it be as follows?Upgrade with stm32wb5x_FUS_fw_for_fus_0_5_3.binUpgrade with stm32wb5x_FUS_fw.binUpgrade with (in my case): stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_full_fw.binCan I just jump to upgrading with stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_full_fw.bin without the previous two? Thanks a lot as this is really quite the challenge for me currently.

I have an 8pin IC marked 351 but I do not seem to understand what ST component it is. See the image. I will appreciate any help for identification.

Hi everyone,I am using the STM32C011J4M6 in the SO8N package.I want to use the ADC on a low frequency signal (around 1kHz). My application needs to be very low power so I decided to put a big (around 100kOhms) input resistance on the ADC pin like we can see in the picture below. The problem is that in the datasheet the maximum value of the resistance is 50kOhms.I want to make sure that this maximum value is given only for one ADC clock frequency (35MHz in my case) and that if we lower the ADC frequency we can increase the Rain value. Am I right ? So if I use a 8MHz ADC clock, I can put a 100kOhms input resistance. My second question is about the voltage drop across this resistance Rain. When the Cadc capacitor is charged there will be a current flowing into Rain, so there will be a voltage drop across it.So my question is, when we increase Rain, we lower the input current in the ADC but we increase the voltage drop across Rain so we increase the error. Is it true ?Best regards,

Hi,Does anyone have any idea how to fix this warning ?Thank you.

Hi All,I am compiling my code, then I get the error below. As you can see, stm32f4xx.hal_can.h is included under project. But, when I click on open declaration for CAN_HandleTypeDef, it does not take me to the stm32f4xx.hal_can.h file. It is like the .h file is not included in the build. I have confirmed project properties includes stm32f4xx.hal_can.h is under included directories (please see the last snapshot). Could anyone please guide me with this ?Thanks.  arm-none-eabi-gcc "../App/led.c" -mcpu=cortex-m4 -std=gnu11 -g3 -DDEBUG -DUSE_HAL_DRIVER -DSTM32F407xx -c -I../Core/Inc -I../Drivers/STM32F4xx_HAL_Driver/Inc -I../Drivers/STM32F4xx_HAL_Driver/Inc/Legacy -I../Drivers/CMSIS/Device/ST/STM32F4xx/Include -I../Drivers/CMSIS/Include -I"C:/Users/bjvyhb/OneDrive - PHINIA/Desktop/FastBit/openBLT/openblt_v011600/Target/Demo/ARMCM4_STM32F4_Nucleo_F429ZI_CubeIDE/my_prog/App" -I"C:/Users/bjvyhb/OneDrive - PHINIA/Desktop/FastBit/openBLT/openblt_v011600/Target/Demo/

Hi, I'm using ADC1 and ADC2 of a STM32F303RE in dual regular simultaneous mode. Each ADC should sample 5 independent channels and a sampling cycle is triggered by software, so I don't use continuous mode.I do get DMA interrupts and everything seems to work fine, except that the buffer which should contain the ADC samples which got transferred by DMA is untouched - no results transferred.adc.c is:   void MX_ADC1_Init(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN ADC1_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE END ADC1_Init 0 */ ADC_MultiModeTypeDef multimode = {0}; ADC_ChannelConfTypeDef sConfig = {0}; /* USER CODE BEGIN ADC1_Init 1 */ /* USER CODE END ADC1_Init 1 */ /** Common config */ hadc1.Instance = ADC1; hadc1.Init.ClockPrescaler = ADC_CLOCK_ASYNC_DIV1; hadc1.Init.Resolution = ADC_RESOLUTION_10B; hadc1.Init.ScanConvMode = ADC_SCAN_ENABLE; hadc1.Init.ContinuousConvMode = DISABLE; hadc1.Init.DiscontinuousConvMode = DISABLE; hadc1.Init.ExternalTrigConvEdge = ADC_EXTERNALTRIGCONVEDGE_NON

Hello all   I'm a hobbyist with experience as a java programmer and with simple embedded C and C++ experience who's working on a project for the Elektor Magazine STM32 contest and I'm finding myself in over my head and I'm wondering if any of you might be able to point me in the right direction.  I'm building up a project that uses several of the capabilities of the STM32WB5MM-DK board that I'm working with. I decided to built it up step by step so I can understand what I'm doing.   I began with a project that just reads the temperature sensor and outputs the data on the USART1 serial terminal. This was my first success. The next thing I'd like to add is the ability to use the RGB LED. I see that code is in stm32wb5mm_dk.c in one of the demo projects. So I put a copy of stm32wb5mm_dk.c into Core/Src and I put the corresponding .h file in Core/Inc. Since both Core/Src and Core/Inc already contain files that are part of the project, I assumed that I didn't n

Hello All,I am working on open bootloader. I have copied all required files. When I compile the code on demo project provided by open bootloader, it works just fine. On the other hand, when I compile on my own project, I get the following error.I have compared files and I have noticed that even though I have copied the exact same files, my file has grayed out parts, unlikely to the original file. How can I make the grayed out part seen as normal (white) ?Could you please guide me with that ?    /Loader/ARMCM4_STM32F4/rs232.c:89:3: error: unknown type name 'LL_USART_InitTypeDef'; did you mean 'UART_InitTypeDef'?89 | LL_USART_InitTypeDef USART_InitStruct;| ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| UART_InitTypeDef../Loader/ARMCM4_STM32F4/rs232.c:106:19: error: request for member 'BaudRate' in something not a structure or union106 | USART_InitStruct.BaudRate = BOOT_COM_RS232_BAUDRATE;| ^../Loader/ARMCM4_STM32F4/rs232.c:107:19: error: request for member 'DataWidth' in something not a struc

I need fastest MCU that can drive GPIO pins but not with timers or DMA, just from source. I need to take fast data from a FPGA device. One of determination is max frequency of toggling pin:I try STM32H562 to toggle pin mode max frequency is around 31 mhz : with this code and core frequency 250mhz:asm volatile(" LDR R0,=0x42020414 ;\n" //GPIOB->ODR " LDR R1,[R0] ;\n""loop: EOR R1,#0x00000001 ;\n"" STR R1,[R0] ;\n"" B loop ;\n":::"r0","r1","r2","r3","r4","r5","r6","r7","r8","r9","r10");I know too STM32H723 is not the best choise - GPIOs are slower than STM32F427. Can some one offer me MCU with fastest GPIOs. and arm core ? Fast as possible.
