I use OCTOSPI as SPI master and listen via SPI3 as Slave (in SW NCS mode) what was sent from master.SPI3 Slave fails for clock speed 80 MHz (larger as 54 MHz:(Symptoms:the data bytes on SPI3 slave are wrong (they look like shifted by one bit)running my command again results in a hang (polling status seems to fail)with OCTALSPI DIV = 3 (53.333 MHz) - all looks fine stillso, SPI3 can keep up with 54 MHz as a SPI slaveAlso realized:with debug options (-g3, -Og) it fails earlier, already 40 MHz is the fastest I can get. But OK (obvious: with better optimization a faster speed for polling).I use these conditions:QSPI (OCTOSPI in QSPI mode) is the masterSPI3 is a slave, just using SCK and MOSI (NCS is in SW mode)QSPI sends in indirect mode, via "polling" (checking FIFO threshold before to send a new byte)SPI3 polls also, its SPI_FLAG_RXPboth are combined in one SW loop (with polling status)  do { *((__IO uint8_t *)data_reg) = *hospi->pBuffPtr; /* Wait till fifo threshol

Can you tell me is the SIM7022 is also compatible with the ST4SIM-200M. Best regards Peter Jonkers

Hi,Do you have an errata document for the RFAL library ? How can the customers know if there is an updated RFAL library ?Best regards,

STM says: OCTOSPI can generate a "regular SPI" transaction. But is not true:A "regular SPI transaction" means actually on OCTOSPI: a half-duplex SPI transaction (using just IO0, but for both directions).I you want to generate a "regular" SPI transactions, as full-duplex ! (IO0 = MOSI, IO1 = MISO, bi-directional) - it is NOT possible.OCTOSPI cannot do WRITE and READ at the same time (always just half-duplex), And the pins for OCTOSPI are NOT shared with a "regular SPI device" (like SPI1, SPI2, SPI3).Here is a solution:run the OCTOSPI as a SPI Master (only as TX, bits out on IO0 pin as MOSI)configure another "regular SPI" device, e.g. SPI3, as a SPI3 Slave (in NCS SW mode: just connect SCK and receive via SPI3 MOSI: connect with IO1 on QSPI header: IO1 is MISO in this mode, luckily in "regular" OCTOSPI mode it is floatingnow, the OCTOSPI generates a SPI TX (MOSI), provides the SCK for external device and signal is looped back to SPI3 Slave SCK.IO0 is MOSI: IO1 is not used on OCTOSPI but

Hello Developers, In our product, we currently have a RAK3172 module interfaced with STM32L4 controller. I am able to use both LoRa P2P and LoRaWAN communication using the AT command sent to the RAK chipset from host, through UART interface. Now i would also like to add sigfox functionality in my application. But by default RAK3172 chipset doesn't support Sigfox. So for adding sigfox functionality, i have to port the stm32wl AT Slave example for RAK3172 and add the AT commands for LoRa communication firstly, as AT Slave doesn't provide AT cmd for LoRa communication.  So currently i am stuck, thinking where my AT cmds for P2P/LoRaWAN recieved by RAK module (STM32WLE) will be stored such that RAK perform the desired AT cmd task. Is there any register where it's written ?  I would like to have better understanding of how i can add command like that of RAK in AT Slave example and the module executes it properly.

We're evaluating the ST25DV04KC for our application. We want to write to the ST25DV04KC from NFC and read the info from I2C from our MCU.We're able to use NFC app on the smart phone to write an NDEF Text of "12345". We can read it via NFC. But reading from the EEPROM proves to be more difficult that other I2C EEPROM. Reading the data sheet, there seems to be 2 I2C addresses, 0x53 and 0x57. We've to read from both but got 0xff for every byte.So, our NDEF Text of "12345" is written somewhere in this chip. How do we get it out of this chip from our MCU?

I am confused: I want to have 1ms AZURE RTOS tick timer - but no idea how to set.What I see:AZURE RTOS defines 10ms tick timer (UX_PERIOD_RATE, TX_TIMER_TICK_PER_SECOND)I see as well, when using tx_thread_sleep(1000); - it sleeps 10 second (not 1) - OK, obvious with 100 set for all the AZURE RTOS timer configs (macros)But I cannot force to get 1ms ticks: even I change all macros I could find, e.g. UX_PERIODIC_RATE, TX_TIMER_TICKS_PER_SECOND to 1000 - this happens:I see the TIM6 INT comes fast, assuming with 1ms period (I debug with toggling a LED in TIM6 INT). But after a short period of time (approx. 1...2sec) the TIM6 INT changes to something like 10Hz (much slower now and I can see the LED toggle).I can clearly see the LED toggling and my "delay" command (which should wait for X milli-seconds) is still wrong.Questions:how to change to a 1ms tick timer (for AZURE RTOS)?can it be that the TIM is reconfigured by a LIB function? (to a much slower rate)It do not find anything in sou

Hey guys, I've recently begun development using CubeIDE. I have two embedded system projects with a very similar code base and the same MCU, so I was hoping to be able to have one project and two different IOC files for the different IO configuration of each processor.Ideally at worst I'd like to simply do something like manually change the project build configuration and then manually regenerate code from the respective IOC file. This way maintenance for the two projects will be much easier by keeping the upper code layers the same. I've found that the IOC file has to have the same name as the project for that to work though, but obviously you can't have two files with the same name.I've noticed I can change the "ProjName" variable by changing build configuration but it doesn't change the actual project name and therefore allow me to open the correct IOC file without manually changing the actual project name through the IDE. I haven't tested if changing the project name in such a way

Hello community! Going to say thanks in advance for your help and direction here. Before I get started, understand that I am using an external rotary encoder knob as the user input for the display, no touchscreen. I am hijacking the button pressed/released behavior to show the navigation with the encoder and manually handling the encoder press to load a new screen or other behavior as needed. I have the external hardware mapped in properly and can view the knob turn/press events as needed, no problems there.I'm trying to build in a menu list of sorts with each menu entry as flex button with some custom behavior. I want for each entry to have an icon, a text label, and a different pressed/released background image, but I only want to have the icon showing when the menu entry is selected. When the entry is not selected, the background image will match the overall UI background to blend in. See the image below where the first entry is selected.This same menu entry behavior will ultimately

Hello,I've recently been using Thread application examples like "Thread_FTD_Coap_Multicast", but when I tried adding other features such as ADC, I encountered errors due to redundancy caused by too many files.I'm wondering how to start a new clean project with STM32CubeMX and then incorporate the Thread protocol afterwards.Have you ever done this? If so, do you have any suggestions?Thank you.

I use a VL53l1X looking trough a oil layer of ca. 20 mm. When getting measured distance 3 times with GetResult(), it returns (example):Status = 0, dist = 11, Ambient = 16, Signal = 20936, #ofSpads = 6Status = 0, dist = 19, Ambient = 8, Signal = 18104, #ofSpads = 6Status = 0, dist = 38, Ambient = 16, Signal = 15864, #ofSpads = 19 --> some 'magic' automatic changed the NrOfSpads from 6 to 19, which also affects the measured distance. When I set the NrOfSpads with VL53L1X_Status_t VL53L1X_SetROI(uint16_t X, uint16_t Y);, this only limits the maximal used NrOfSpads, but it's further possible that the sensor switches to a lower NrOfSpads autonomous. How can I force the sensor to use a defined NrOfSpads?

Hello everyone,I intend to migrate an LPC development to the new stm32h5 family, I find the versatility that its flash offers very interesting. Being able to separate a set of memory into two blocks to run the main program without the need for an IAP firmware. but I have doubts.In my old LPC I had an EEPROM memory clearly separated from the memory block. In the new stm32h5 there is talk of a high-cycling Flash capability that can function as a kind of EEPROM. My question is, can I dedicate the bank 1 portion of the Flash to EEPROM emulation and still maintain the ability to swap between banks for software updates?Thanks in advance!Victor

Using the STM32H747I-DISCO, I am having problems getting SPI working at all.I am using SPI5, to allow connecting an X-NUCLEO-NFC08A1 directly via the Arduino headers.I do not see any data on the SCK line and HAL_SPI_Transmit() always fails.Looking in stm32h7xx_hal_spi.c, I see that SPI_FLAG_EOT is never detected and so HAL_SPI_Transmit() times out with HAL_SPI_ERROR_FLAG set.Is there a working sample showing SPI configuration and use on the STM32H747?Can anyone suggest what I'm doing wrong?Thanks.Pin/port definitions:#define SPIx SPI5 #define SPIx_IRQn SPI5_IRQn #define SPIx_SCK_GPIO_CLK_ENABLE() __HAL_RCC_GPIOK_CLK_ENABLE() #define SPIx_MISO_GPIO_CLK_ENABLE() __HAL_RCC_GPIOJ_CLK_ENABLE() #define SPIx_MOSI_GPIO_CLK_ENABLE() __HAL_RCC_GPIOJ_CLK_ENABLE() #define SPIx_CLK_ENABLE() __HAL_RCC_SPI5_CLK_ENABLE() #define SPIx_SCK_PIN 0 #define SPIx_SCK_GPIO_PORT GPIOK #define SPIx_SCK_AF GPIO_AF5_SPI5 #define SPIx_MISO_PIN 10 #define SPIx_MISO_GPIO_PORT GPIOJ #define SPIx_MISO_AF GPIO_AF5_SPI5

Hi @Rene Lenerve  @JL. Lebon  @Brian TIDAL So basically I am connecting ST25DV64KC tag with MKE14F512VLL16 based controller and I want to write on the tag through i2c but as I am sending data using I2c write and as I am checking using Logic analyzer it showing its writing and sending ack but when I am checking using st nfc tap app  options read memory  there nothing was written can you guys confirm few things like is tag slave  device address  is 0xA6  for writing on tag and is it mandatory to give memory address or it will assume 0000h as base address and write on it  and to write on tag do we need to send one byte at a time .Can you please provide details about i2c communication to  write on tag by the way I have already gone through the datasheet.

Hi @Khouloud ZEMMELI I generated C code and other files after opening .IOC file in STM32CubeIDE (not STM32CubeMX).I observe many FLASH sections in the STM32H753BITX_FLASH.ld file do not call ALIGN(4).The left side file is the one that got generated after generating code, where is the right side file is the one that I have received from my colleague.I hereby request that STM32CubeMX be updated to include the ALIGN(4) wherever necessary.Regards,Rajeev

Hello,I recently purchased the STM32U5G9J-DK2, on the pre-loaded demo there is a map view which takes advantage of the vector graphics acceleration.The demo is "TouchGFX Demo 7", but the version available in Designer v4.23.0 is missing the map screen.Is the TouchGFX project / source code available for this demo with the added map?Many Thanks,Ant

I can't find the page size of STM32401RE nucleo flash memory in the reference manual. Does anyone have the information?Thanks

Hi all,I am designing an application on a STM32L431. I need to consume the least amount of power. The MCU will have to use the CAN module both in transmit and receive mode. The reference manual does not give too much details on how the lower power mode work with each of the peripherals. For example, if I set the device in low-power sleep mode and I receive a CAN message, it will wake up the CPU clock and main loop restart? Can I set the Tx mailboxes of the CAN buffer and immediately send the device in low-power sleep mode? The CAN message will be sent anyway?

HiI have an imported project and I would like to modificy the GPIO configuration inside board.cI saw board.c is a file generated from pinMapEditor configuration but is I open the project and the PinMapEditor page I'm not able to modify anything because the pin configuration setting does not open and clicking on the pin name does nothing happen.Any suggestion?ThanksFabio

Hello everyone,we are developing a product using STM32F413.We got a new requirement, that the chip needs to activate ROP level 1. We want to do this from firmware code, if possible.I noticed that after flashing my firmware and running the code that activates the ROP, the mcu stops working until i perform a power on reset. The ROP is set to level 1 after the power on reset, as expected. The need for the power on reset seems to be caused by not having a power on reset between using the programmer and setting the ROP level. Problem is, that we have a huge super-cap on the board, buffering the power, so a power on reset is out of the picture for production.I know that for STM32L0x3, there was a way around this by performing a wakeup from standby instead of a POR. I had no luck implementing the same for STM32F413. Is there any way to set the ROP from a just flashed firmware without doing a power on reset? From RM0367 Rev8 chapter 3.4 (stm32l0x3 ref manual):im in the situation described

Hi,I have the following board : NUCLEO-F429ZIThe datasheet says that UART3 is the STLINK UART that can be used over USB.I configured this UART but when I try to receive anything from the terminal that is connected to the UART com port, I don't see the interrupt being triggered.The objective is to receive some data over UART3, process it, and send the processed data over UART6.UART3 init in main.c/** * @brief USART3 Initialization Function * @PAram None * @retval None */ static void MX_USART3_UART_Init(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN USART3_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE END USART3_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE BEGIN USART3_Init 1 */ /* USER CODE END USART3_Init 1 */ huart3.Instance = USART3; huart3.Init.BaudRate = 115200; huart3.Init.WordLength = UART_WORDLENGTH_8B; huart3.Init.StopBits = UART_STOPBITS_1; huart3.Init.Parity = UART_PARITY_NONE; huart3.Init.Mode = UART_MODE_TX_RX; huart3.Init.HwFlowCtl = UART_HWCONTROL_NONE; huart3.Init.OverSampling = UART_OVERSAMPLING_16; if (HAL_

I have a NUCLEO-H723ZG.From the STM32 examples, in the LwIP_UDP_Echo_Server/STM32CubeIDE/STM32H723ZGTX_FLASH.ld file, we have: .lwip_sec (NOLOAD) : { . = ABSOLUTE(0x30000000); *(.RxDecripSection) . = ABSOLUTE(0x30000200); *(.TxDecripSection) . = ABSOLUTE(0x30000400); *(.Rx_PoolSection) } >RAM_D2 AT> ROM   However, when creating a project with STM32CubeIDE 1.13.1, We don't get to set the Rx_PoolSection. Also, in the generated ethernetif.c file I got: #if defined ( __ICCARM__ ) /*!< IAR Compiler */ #pragma location=0x30000000 ETH_DMADescTypeDef DMARxDscrTab[ETH_RX_DESC_CNT]; /* Ethernet Rx DMA Descriptors */ #pragma location=0x30000100 ETH_DMADescTypeDef DMATxDscrTab[ETH_TX_DESC_CNT]; /* Ethernet Tx DMA Descriptors */ #elif defined ( __CC_ARM ) /* MDK ARM Compiler */ __attribute__((at(0x30000000))) ETH_DMADescTypeDef DMARxDscrTab[ETH_RX_DESC_CNT]; /* Ethernet Rx DMA Descriptors */ __attribute__((at(0x30000100))) ETH_DMADescTypeDef DMATxDs

Hello, everyone.I am using STM32CubeIDE.I want to position one variable in the .noinit section and to secure the memory location of this variable to 0x2001FF0.volatile uint8_t data1 __attribute__ ((section (".noinit")));I succeeded in using the above code to locate it in the .noinit section, but I did not fix the memory address.How can you fix your memory address?

I have a PCA with a blown TVS. The markings are: ST e3 G3BA◇YZ521I've seen TVS datasheets with markings starting with 3BA, but the diamond symbol is throwing me off. Can you assist?

In an STM32F427, according to the Backup domain reset subchapter of RCC chapter of RM0090rev.19, backup domain can be reset by setting RCC_BDCR.BDRST. There is no other condition to this mentioned in that subchapter nor elsewhere in related material (e.g. in description of RCC_BDCR.BDRST bit) in the RM.However, experimentally I found, that backup domain reset does not happen after setting RCC_BDCR.BDRST, if PWR_CR.DBP is not set.JW
