Which native graphical library does OpenSTLinux using? Is it GTK or other C++ library?

Hi all,I connected my SPV1050 chip as you can see in the picture and started to measure my circuit. It looks pretty good. I powered it up with 3.3V at IN_LV. And I can measure a voltage of about 2.416V at the STORE pin. And even the LDO2_EN pin got a 2.412V, but at the LDO2 pin there is nothing. Does anyone have any idea why this might be the case? Even when I connect the Battery, nothing changes.

Hi,I managed to get the sensor working with firmware VL53L5CX_1.3.11. It works even if I reduce the data load and disable everything except distance. My problem is, that I do not receive any data if I switch the resolution to 8x8 - the sensor is only delivering data in 4x4 resolution. This happens for all data and for only distance data.I tried several different chips. The error code is 167 = 0xa7 in check_data_ready (GO2 error status). I got no error before neither when switching the resolution nor when starting ranging. Thanks

Hello everyone, I am developing a simple bootloader application where I have the bootloader code located at 0x8000000 and the main firmware at 0x8008000.To jump from the bootloader to the firmware code I am using this code: typedef void (*pFunction)(void);pFunction JumpToFirmware = (pFunction)(*(__IO uint32_t*)(0x8008000 + 4));__disable_irq();JumpToFirmware(); For some reason the jump is generating a hard fault, catch by the hardfault event handler. Since there is no fault registers in the Cortex-M0, it is being difficult to track the problem down. The generated assembly code looks good at JumpToFirmware():JumpToFirmware();08002da4: blx r2 I checked and the r2 is correctly loaded with value 0x8008225 (read from the firmware vector table stored at 0x8008000), however blx causes the hard fault. I even tried to straight test with a asm(" blx 0x8008225"), which I believe would be a valid branch, but it still causes the fault.I also check the target address 0x800822

Hello,my goal here to understand the TIM channel output behavior in different situations between generating one-pulse. Ultimately I need to make sure that I have a predictable output "0" level output at all times if not generating pulse.I am using STM32H743 MCU  TIM13 timer in PWM mode 2, one-pulse operation. After POR  TIM13 is initialized and CCR channel is enabled, yet the counter is not enabled yet (CR1->CEN = 0) , assume that CCR register has value greater than 0 and output polarity is positive (outputs 1 when pulse is generated). What is the expected state at the output pin supposed to be as result of this? For proper understanding of TIM, how the answer changes if the channel PWM mode changed to mode 1 instead of mode 2?Also related, after the counter is enabled and software trigger generated one pulse event, then I disable the counter (CR1->CEN = 0 again), from then on what is expected to be the state of the output pin? "Output" at 0 ? At any PWM mode?I asked thi

Hello...I am using a Nucleo-L476RG dev board along with https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeL4 .  I have built the code for PWR_STOP1_RTC and am trying to measure ground current.  I have a 10 ohm resistor on the ground side of 3.2V battery.  I have removed JP6 and JP5 on the board.  I am using a USB PicoScope.  At the moment I have two issues:1.  I load the FW onto the target but I don't understand why this FW does NOT seem to run if I don't keep the usb connected to the nucleo?  Why is this?  I would like to disconnect this as it is just a source of noise and I am getting no where near the approx.   4 uA - 20 uA the datasheet specifies.2.  For some reason the ground current (when 1. above is connected) measures negative?  I can plug into a traditional scope and it is not negative.  I did calibrate probe and when connected to picoscope I did the autozero...Any thoughts here?  Thanks

Hello, I am trying to confirm that there is not CAN boot loader for the STM32H750VBT6 LQPF100/144 packages. Attached is the pin out included PH13 and PHY 14 and snipped form AN2606 for the STM32H75xx.   Thanks!

I had been using the instructions gleaned from https://github.com/YetAnotherElectronicsChannel/STM32_CMSIS_DSP for how to use prebuilt CMSIS library for STM32F407 Discovery board. Then I noticed https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus/how-to-integrate-cmsis-dsp-libraries-on-a-stm32-project/tac-p/714554 so I wanted to update my project to use the new way to access CMSIS DSP code, so that my students will not be using an outdated method. One thing I found onerous about the new method was having to go through every folder of code to remove or comment out <foldername>.c and <foldername>F16.c just to get the code to compile with multiple definitions complaints.Once everything was compiling, I found that my original code didn't work any more. I had been using a 101 coefficient FIR filter on 1024 samples in each half of a DMA block. When I reduced to an 81 coefficient FIR filter, my project worked fine again. This suggests to me that the prebuilt library code was faster.Another

Posted on February 26, 2017 at 07:10 Hi Everyone, I'm trying to read from the USB keyboard with a custom board STM32F205RCT6 MCU. I am using USB FS host (host only) with HAL library.but it just works with some keyboards! Other keyboards are detected by host but can not read data. Can any one help me? My Code: int main(void) {  /* STM32F4xx HAL library initialization:  - Configure the Flash prefetch, instruction and Data caches  - Configure the Systick to generate an interrupt each 1 msec  - Set NVIC Group Priority to 4  - Global MSP (MCU Support Package) initialization  */  HAL_Init();    /* Configure the system clock to 120 MHz */  SystemClock_Config();  /* Init Host Library */  USBH_Init(&hUSBHost, USBH_UserProcess, 0);    /* Add Supported Class */  USBH_RegisterClass(&hUSBHost, USBH_HID_CLASS);    /* Start Host Process */  USBH_Start(&hUSBHost);    /* Run

As explained in the reference manual RM0503 rev2, §14.10, the MCU has an internal bandgap voltage reference, which can be measured by the ADC peripheral. This reading can be compared to the one performed by ST in the factory (and stored in flash), so that we can infer the ADC voltage reference (VREF+).The datasheet DS14548 rev2 says that VREFINT is (1.182V, 1.212V, 1.232V) (min, typ, max), in Table 25.The DS also says (Table 6) that the VREFINT calibration value is found in flash @ 0x1FFF6EA4-0x1FFF6EA5, and that it is measured at 30°C+-5°C, with VDDA=VREF+=3.0V+-10mVAlso, the ADC has a resolution of at most 12-bit (I assume the measurement is 12 bits, not less, which is true for other MCU families, at least). So, I would expect the value stored in flash to be around ([1.182V, 1.212V, 1.232V] / 3.0 * 4096) = [1613, 1655, 1682] = [0x064D, 0x0677, 0x0692](only occupying the lower 12 bits of the 16 bits available at the specified address). The HAL library agrees with the datasheet: stm32u0x

Does anyone here have a datasheet for part# SD1731-11? I see on website only datasheet SD1731 and SD1731-14. Does anyone know what the "dash #" stands for?

Hi everyone,  I am trying to use LPTIM1 and I2C3 to read the values of a sensor's register every 1 second and save them into a data buffer while in Stop2 mode. What I would like to know is if it is possible to store data sampled at a given frequency in a data buffer, thus incrementing the offset value at each I2C transaction, without needing to add multiple I2C Receive boxes in the Queue. I would like to perform everything while in Stop2 mode and to wake up the uC only when the data buffer is completely filled with data.  I performed 3 tests using the NUCLEO-U575ZI-Q board, each of them is provided below as .rar files.   1st TEST (Test_00.rar in the attached files): In the "Pinout & Configuration" view, I configured the LPDMA1 Channels 0 and 1 in Linked-List mode, enabled both LPDMA1 SmartRun Channel 0 and 1 global interrupts, and set CH0 and CH1 Execution Modes as Linear.  In the "LPBAM Scenario & Configuration" view, I configured the followi

Hello!I come there after some days of work on the stop mode on the dicovery board STM32L0 with LoRaWAN.I tried to generate a new project which does nothing, to test the stop mode with RTC following the datasheet and measure the current consumption. I have some issues with doing this.I use a multimeter on the JP2 tu measure the consumption when the board is powered by USB. Without the stop mode, the consuption is arround 11 mA and when I activate the stop mode after suspending Tick, the current consumption is arround 3.1 mA, which still is far far away from the consumption mentioned in the datasheet. You can find my main following, maybe you can help me to find how can I enter in stop mode correctly? :smiling_face_with_smiling_eyes: Thank you for your help !int main(void) { /* Reset of all peripherals, Initializes the Flash interface and the Systick. */ HAL_Init();   /* Configure the system clock */ SystemClock_Config();   /* Initialize all configured peripherals */ MX_GP

I am currently working on downloading an image into the LT-22222-L using the STM32 Flash Loader. While the download completes successfully and runs as expected, I am encountering significant issues with the application. It frequently crashes, and on the rare occasions when it remains stable, all options within the application appear empty. I would appreciate your prompt assistance in resolving these issues. Thank you for your support.

Why is there no CRYP (Cryptographics) peripheral enabling/configuration option in project configurator (CubeMX/CubeIDE) for STM32H747 ? I tried v1.15.0 and v1.16.0It does not show up:But it exists in register callback list:And it exists in H7 HAL driver library: https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/stm32h7xx_hal_driverPS.The project is already using STM32 Cryptographic library but there are strange problems (long story). I want to see the source code and understand what's going on. Pre-compiled library does not allow it.I also found this post where somebody has same question but different solution.   https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-security/problem-implementing-cryptographic-library-in-stm32h747/td-p/149901I want to use peripheral through HAL, no closed source.

Hello,in the datasheet for the L8, the power consumption for a low power mode such as autonomous 4x4, 1Hz frequency and 5 ms integration time is given to be 1.6 mW . I tried measuring the power consumption for a similar mode which is autonomous 4x4 @ 1Hz and 2 ms integration time, which should be the mode with the absolute minimal power consumption. However, I measure important currents on both CORE_1V8 and AVDD pins of the chip. For CORE_1V8, the average current is 16.87 mA and for AVDD I get 7.08 mA average. These currents lead to a power consumption of around 68 mW which is far from the datasheet and I was wondering if I was doing something wrong. Here are the measurements for the currents As you can see, the period between pulses is 1000 ms which validates that ranging frequency was set to 1 Hz. Also, there is only one laser pulse with a period (integration time) of 2ms, which validates that we are indeed in 4x4 (else we would have 4 pulses) and that we are not

Hi,I am trying to make the jump work with an F103RC, and have read many posts in this community, but the jump simply does not work for me. The jump code is mainly from DavidNaviaux in the following post:https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-products/jump-to-application-from-bootloader-not-working/td-p/620734The code in bootloader is downloaded to 0x08000000 via ST-Link: /* USER CODE BEGIN PD */ #define APP_ADDR 0x08010000 // MCU app code base address #define MCU_IRQS 102u // no. of NVIC IRQ inputs struct app_vectable_ { uint32_t Initial_SP; void (*Reset_Handler)(void); }; #define APPVTAB ((struct app_vectable_ *)APP_ADDR) /* USER CODE END PD */ /* Private variables ---------------------------------------------------------*/ UART_HandleTypeDef huart5; /* USER CODE BEGIN PV */ int printOnce = 1; uint32_t startTick; /* USER CODE END PV */ /* Private function prototypes -----------------------------------------------*/ void SystemClock_Config(void); static vo

I have the following problem with my STM32H743:I want to use the ADC3 for an injected conversion, but the ADC3 interrupt does not call the ADC3_IRQHandler, instead the SysTick_Handler is called whenever an ADC3 interrupt happens.  When I read the ISPR from the SysTick_Handler, I can check which interrupt is active and clear the interrupt in the ADC3 ISR register. (So technically I can get everything to work, but I don't want to handle the ADC3 interrupt in the SysTick_Handler) I already read the NVIC registers while debugging and the ADC3 interrupt definitely happens, it just isn't handled by the right handler.I also checked the ISR vector table in the FLASH to see, if the entry for the ADC3 interrupt holds the wrong value but it points to the ADC3_IRQHandler as it should. I am all out of ideas where to look or what to look for anymore. This is what the SysTick_Handler looks like at the moment:__irq void SysTick_Handler() { volatile int ipsr = __get_IPSR(

Hi all,we are encountering difficulties in activating the compensation cell option. Even if the SYSCFG_CMPCR bit 0 has been configured as 1 we never get the READY in bit 8 (always 0).Various tests have been carried out, but to no avail, so let's start from the beginning. Could you list what are the steps for activation to be successful for this microcontroller?  BRStefano

Hi!I'm developing a software on the STM37H753ZIT nucleo board, I place some time critical functions inside the ITCMRAM to improve performance, the code is correctly running and the behaviour meets the expectations execpt for a fact:When I place a breakpoint to stop inside a function located in ITCMRAM, the debugger stops in another place:Here an example is provided, the function placed in ITCMRAM is TIM15_IRQHandler, when I try to stop inside the function the debugger stops in CAN_DeInit, that is a function never called in the code.Note: Rebuilding and relauncing the project, brings the debugger to stop in another place, different from CAN_DeInit, but still stops in unused code piece.  Does anyone knows why this happens? Thanks in advance,Luca

Hello,i just installed the most recent version of Cube Programmer but when i click the Open File tab and select a folder the program crashes immediately. I'm running it in Windows 11 64-bit on an Acer laptop, i selected the correct 64-bit version for download. It also crashes if i close the "Open file" dialog or click the Cancel button.

Hi, I've got an application which is running on an STM32F746ZGT. During in the field firmware upgrades, it has to erase part of the device's internal flash memory and then write to the flash. The problem I'm trying to overcome is to enable the device to continue executing code during the erase operation, which takes around 5 to 6 seconds. To do this, I'm moving some of the code chunks that I want to keep running during the erase operation into RAM. There's an interrupt and also the ISR vector that I'm moving into RAM. I'm following this example: https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus/how-to-place-and-execute-stm32-code-in-sram-memory-with/ta-p/49528 It involves adding a ".RamFunc" section to the linker script. The issue is that so far I haven't been able to get code to continue executing during the flash erase process. I'm wondering if erasing flash will block the CPU from executing code, even if it's executed from RAM. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Doug

Hi,STM32CubeIDE- 1.13.2TouchGFX -  4.24.0STM32F423ZHT6 evaluation board has lack of LTDC and DMA2D compare to other STM32F4 series. I want to turn on the LCD panel (NHD-2.8-240320AF-CSXP-FCTP-ND) and it display the white background. Can any one please guide me? How to do it.

Hi,I'm using a STM32L452 and launching the bootloader in System Memory by setting the Boot0 pin to high and resetting. This launches the bootloader successfully.I'm using UART1 on PA9 and PA10.However, when trying to write the flash using the STM32_Programmer_CLI.exe it shows a NACK and the program exits. Here's the command I'm using, see log attached:  "C:\ProgramFiles\STMicroelectronics\STM32Cube\STM32CubeProgrammer\bin\STM32_Programmer_CLI.exe" -c port=COM11 -w="C:\FW.hex"   Command line output is as follows:  ------------------------------------------------------------------- STM32CubeProgrammer v2.15.0 ------------------------------------------------------------------- Warning: Wrong connect parameter: -w=C:\FW.hex Serial Port COM11 is successfully opened. Hello, we are using Riverdi displays but this may be a generic problem. We are using RVT70HSSNWN00 and RVT101HVSNWN00 and there is an intermittent problem. We used project generated from the TouchGFX example to develop a graphical application. Sometimes after the display is started, there are artifacts (picture tearing) shown when the display is redrawing. Only thing that fixes this is device reset. It occurs approximately every 40-50th device startup. I am attaching a video showing the problem and how it should look correctly. In the video, I am controlling the display from a joystick, first the top right button is pressed and then the screen is changed (the exact steps are irrelevant, every redraw causes picture tearing).I also attach .ioc file used for the project.I have seen this document and from that it seems that this may be from Cortex-M7 speculative accesses, so I tried to set MPU regions accordingly but with no help. I think that some double buffer misconfiguration c
